Woo look i'm finally making an oc intro post on here! This is def non exhaustive and a lot of these guys are old/inactive, but i tried to include the ones that are the most likely to come up xdd Might add more in the future, but this is them for now :]

first of, some og kiddos! most of these originated in rpg/growing species groups on dA but are just unaligned ocs now

Dawn

the only exception to the above statement xd She's my avatar/mascot, essentially! There isn't much else to her honestly. Fun fact about her name origin though: My warriors.. sona, i guess? was called Morgenröte, or Dawnlight when i used her in english contexts, so Dawn's name is a callback to that c: I also considered naming her Morgan as a reference to "Morgen"

Kiran

Used to be a very spunky kid before Trauma TM happened and depression beat her ass. She's been getting better though! Used to be best friends with Lacrima but they've since grown apart. Loves animals and started working on Sam's farm partime.

Lacrima

Smart, self-sufficient, maybe a liiittle fucked up by when she god hellbent on vengeance oops. Lost her closeness with a bunch of her childhood friends during that time. Still a bit all over the place but has found she enjoys administrative work.

Noé

Local theatre kid, and a freelance artist. Which art? That changes with the wind. He has trouble committing to things but that's because so many things in this world are interesting!

Sam

Bit softie with abandonment issues. Loves his family and LARPing and his asshole horse named Sir Samuel II. Works on his farm full time but tries making as much time for his friends and family as possible. Childhood friends with Tumble.

Tumbleweed

A gentle giant who practically lives in the water. Life motto: motto: can't be disappointed by life if you don't expect anything! Works as a life guard and swim instructor. Childhood friends with Sam

Quentin

The swetest potato, but has trouble making friends. A casual but enthusiastic collector with a love for tinkering! Has a workshop together with Flora where he does repair work on mostly on non-mechanical things

Flora

Timid, but inquisitive and creative. Original founder of her now shared workshop which started as a mech repair shop and now entails "anything we can fix!"

Desertblaze

One of my oldest ocs! She's been (re)used a bunch and has been through some shit but always managed to keep finding beauty and love in life. She is. Very near and dear to my heart <3

Nightscar

Tbh i have not used him in a hot minute but i wanted to include him cos he's pretty u.u Also a very old oc; his og name was Schattenjäger (shadowhunter) lol. The first version of him drowned though rip.

Stormyrain

Another fave :] Spunky and full of wanderlust. Her cat version has been inactive for a long time but i love reusing iterations of her cos she is fun and i love her.

Kokosamu

Smug little shit who is equipped with an ego that is way too big for his tiny body. Despite this he is not as bad as he seems! Mostly. He does mean well.

Styrnlona

Big arms, big heart, big hopes. Grew up in a family of fishers and hopes to win lots of money at the coliseum for her family. Turns out that is Really Hard though.

Mikh'a

Is here to avoid responsibilities out of boredom and because adventurers get paid well, right? Well wouldn'tcha know, adventuring is dangerous! oops.

Ulhar

(Ex-)entertainer, professional bullshitter, and apparently a hero now? Ugh. Really just wants to get rid of the worm in her brain, please. Would love to say she doesn't care about anything but unfortunately for her she cares A Lot.

Jamie

The Cooler Sister, bestie of Cove, aspiring marine biologist. If you see me call her Stormy, it's because she is an iteration of Stormyrain xd

LEGEND OF ZELDA FAQ: As the one timeline AU as I’ve named it has gained a fair amount of popularity heres a few questions I’ve been asked about it

What is the 1tau?: The 1Tau (One timeline AU) Is a legend of Zelda alternate universe I made where the timeline of the Zelda universe has been molded to fit into one line instead of the branching routes of canon. It’s also a Links Meet AU because those are cool!

Where can I read it?: Unfortunately this is the only place you’ll find material for this Au, FOR NOW AT LEAST! I have been known to dabble in fanfiction so it’s not out of the question some stories might pop up.

Do you have a story planned for this AU?: Kinda? But mostly it’s just character-focused interactions. I’m not a fan of writing super dark or introspective Zelda, *I lean more toward Hurt/Comfort, found family vibes in these parts~

Is there a Sideblog for this AU?: Not at the moment but that might b e something I'll look into if it becomes hard to navigate within my main blog

Fidget Designs is a project I am attempting where I go through the allegiances lists on the warriors wiki, going A-Z with cats by allegiance, starting with Thunderclan and I’m unsure where we’ll go after that but we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it

Cats are drawn based on their current/last known living clan as listed on the wiki, though there are some exceptions. For example. Brook Where Small Fish Swim will be drawn with the tribe cats because she’s associated with them, even though she’s listed with the Thunderclan Allegiances page

As a note: I have not physically read the books after the second book of Omen of the Stars and even then it has been YEARS- so a lot of these designs are based on my vibe, the warrior’s wiki’s description and maybe a quick google of the cat’s name. So sorry in advance if I mess up the common HC design for your blorbo I know very little about the newer books

that being said- I am 100% welcome to design requests whenever they are open! This project isn’t too structured so don’t worry about it :D

Fishy AU: A dark presence has fallen over the ocean. There is something hunting a great power that can only be controlled by the power that's held in the descendants of the ancient sea witches.

The Prince and the Gecko: Evil Twink Jay, and Zane kisses a gecko. After being offered a deal, Zane falls into a new world of magic and curses, as he tries to break the curse of a talking gecko.

Whoops all avatars: There's been a mess up, now the avatar is one of three firebenders (Kai, Lloyd, or Jay). Who is it, and can they handle it?

! Green means love: The power of the green ninja is the love the core four have for each other. FLUFF

! Lightning potato/g force Jay: Jay is a guinea pig. (with @anxiousworm)

Thceif [Thief au]: Jay is a criminal thief called BLACKOUT

Pack sticks together: The ninja’s are onis and refugees in Ninjago, trying to survive, and also messing around with human technology

SOG Kai: After getting lost in the time vortex Kai ends up with the SOG several years younger and with no memory.

Robot ninja’s: Instead of people, the ninjas are robots built to host the awesome powers of the elemental masters

Celestial au: The ninja’s are celestial incarnation of their powers

Non Bender au: LoK au, where all the ninja’s are in the world of avatar, but none of them are benders.

Assassins au: the ninjas are assassins with Lloyd being their boss

Oni Soul au: Basically Lloyd finds the part of his soul that was split from him at birth.

Horizion Zero Dawn au: Kai accidentally gets a focus implanted into his brain and now must help a scrappy team save the world

Cats au: Warrior cats au. They do have powers, its pretty fun/wild

littol ninja’s au: The ninjas are each about 4-5 inches tall and act about 4-6 years old. They are being watched over by a kind person who finds them until they can figure out what is happeneing.

Racer Kai: Kai is a professional racer who is dating his mechanic Jay. Race fast and win

Storm Twins: Movie au, where Jay and Morro are twins. Morro is on the secret ninja force but Jay is not and he doesn’t know either.

elemental masters: Basically a reimagining of ninjago. Changed the magic system too (no tag yet for this au)

hybrid au: Hybrid people are being eperimented on, and Kai, a caretaker, has had enough and breaks out four hybrids, Cole, Jay, Zane, and Lloyd

bizzarro adoption: The bizzarro get adopted by Sensei Garmadon, and work on healing their unhealthy relationships to each other.

hi. hi . hi . i made a warrior cats fan game on scratch when i was young. seeing u post about making one activated all of my childhood programming memories so PRO TIPS FOR FREE

(disclaimer: there are probably other ways of doing these things these r just the ones i came up with lol)

make 2 separate sprites for the standing and walking. the walking sprite should be constantly cycling through its frames. pick one of them to contain the movement code (i always preferred the standing sprite for this) and set the other to always match its position.

then, when an arrow key is pressed, hide the standing sprite and show the walking sprite, and vice versa when released.

thats how i fixed the 'press button for 1 millisecond and sprite has to cycle thru all 8 frames before returning to standing animation' problem

you can extrapolate this logic into an arbitrary number of sprites for separate animations, though you can also include one or more non-looping animations within the standing sprite to save space. as long as your walking sprite is kept separate the player will have instant feedback when they start and stop moving which will rid you of most animation jank.

i dont know if you want any platforming functionality, but if you do:

use separate sprites for the terrain art and terrain hitbox!! it gives you more freedom. (to make a hitbox, you just gotta turn the sprite invisible.)

i also had separate wall detection and floor detection hitboxes to allow the character to do things like walk up inclines. set the wall hitbox to be a little bit off the ground, then if you detect floor but no wall, move the character upward. be warned, you have to make the wall hitbox cover both the front and the back! if the player turns their character backwards while up against a wall, they will be able to glitch up it.

also Do not map the interact button to the same key as advance dialogue. the player Will accidentally skip the first page of dialogue. (also include a slight delay before theyre able to advance to the next page, but not too long or getting out of dialog boxes will become hell)

What is Burning Thistles? Burning Thistles, or it’s extended/original workshop title, Burning Spotted Thistles, is a warrior cats au where Fireheart--and his siblings--are the kits of Spottedpaw/leaf and Thistleclaw. 🌼DaisyClan: Moon 24🌼

“Why don’t they just demand that Minkstar backs down?” Minkstar froze as Icyback’s angry hiss cut through the evening’s silence. She caught a glimpse of the she-cat’s lashing white tail around the side of the warrior’s den. Minkstar couldn’t see who she was talking to. Her whiskers twitched indecisively. Minkstar knew she should just keep walking and pretend like she didn’t hear anything. But before she could get her paws moving, Icyback spoke again.

“They were chosen by StarClan, right?” The she-cat said, her voice low but threatening. “Shouldn’t they be allowed to continue their leadership?”

Another voice answered haltingly. Minkstar recognized it as Woodfur’s. “Well . . . technically Daisyst - Daisyrunner - was chosen to lead us to our new home.” Woodfur didn’t seem to know which side he was on. Minkstar had never heard him sound so unsure. “Maybe, since that’s done, they can . . . retire?”

“RETIRE?!” Icyback spat, making Minkstar’s fur bristle. Since when had the former loner been so passionate about Clan politics? The she-cat was always proud, but until now, she’d mostly kept to herself. “DaisySTAR is still so young - half Minkstar’s age, at least!” Minkstar was surprised by how much Icyback’s comment stung her. Yes, she was older than Daisyrunner, but she wasn’t any less competent. Does Icyback think I should retire? Minkstar wondered. Of course, I’ve thought about it, but I still feel like I have a lot more to offer my Clan. I can’t go to the elder’s den yet!

“Keep your voice down!” Woodfur was scolding Icyback. “I didn’t mean it like that. I just mean that maybe, Daisyrunner’s time as leader is over.” Minkstar heard the white she-cat prepare to snap back, but Woodfur went on. “But we won’t know for sure until StarClan tells us.”

But . . . will StarClan tell us? The unwelcome thought squeezed its way into Minkstar’s head. What would they do if StarClan didn’t give them a definite answer about DaisyClan’s leadership? They’d given Minkstar her nine lives, yes, but they’d also tried to tell the cats that Daisyrunner wasn’t gone for good. Gone . . . but not lost. The visions of the shadowy creature stealing a daisy seemed to have a clear meaning now. StarClan seemed to favour both Minkstar and Daisyrunner. But if they didn’t choose, the Clan would.

Minkstar stayed crouched in the shadow of the warrior’s den as Icyback and Woodfur went their separate ways. Her gaze swept across the camp, watching from afar as her Clanmates prepared for their night’s rest. Who would they each choose? Minkstar couldn’t help but wonder. But it seemed, in this instance, there was no clear choice.

Notable Events

Rabbitpaw is now a warrior, called Rabbitspot.

Although they still haven’t received a sign from StarClan, cats are starting to take sides about who should be leader. Icyback has taken Daisyrunner’s side, complaining about Minkstar behind her back.

And that marks the end of Year Two in DaisyClan! But the drama is far from over . . .

Chaotic Card 2-Attacat

Welcome back! Glad you enjoy my hyperfixation.

Make sure you read Arias’ post too, because that post explains how you read the individual card. This Creature coming up is also an Overworlder, and I will be going through the cards In the order of set releases and set order as well. I hope that makes sense.

Here is Attacat (Art By: Khary Randolph, Etienne St.Laurent), an Uncommon Overworld Warrior. The little textbox directly under the artwork does have some use, but, only for specific cards. Some things only affect Warriors, or Heroes, or Scouts, etc.

Swift 1 lets you move an additional space in the move phase of combat. Meaning I get to talk about combat!!

Stripping all other things aside, the Gear, Mugic, Locations, etc...your creature setup in an army of 6 would look like this, with the row of 3 being at the front, against your opponents row of 3. Beefy boys up front, Muges and healers in the back!!

Let’s say, Arias in the middle moves forward and steps on an enemy’s toes. The fight happens (will explain more later but that isn’t the focus of today. Just know there is the Combat Phase and Non-combat Phase.), and he wins. Success!! However, this now means that, the space he occupied is empty now. Not altogether a bad thing, but, it’s a possible opening someone can use to get to less bulky, more Mugic-focused combatants.

With Arias now over the enemy line, in their front row middle spot, It’s time to play abilities, reassess, and move your Creatures around while not in combat. You get to move a Creature, then an enemy gets to move one of their Creatures. Rinse and Repeat until opposing creatures occupy the same space.

For this example, lets say that Attacat is in the middle row, top spot, where Birdboy is. Arias is over the enemy lines, behind is vacant, you can use Attacat’s ability to pass through the empty space, and fight a Creature on the enemy’s frontline. His ability does have some use, but is niche at best. Not through a fault of the Creature Stats, but the ability doesn’t let you move through occupied spaces, even your own Creature spaces. Having an ability Range though, will!!

Playstyle:

Range by itself is fully useless, because it doesn’t give extra movement. Swift is okay but it doesn’t let you pass allied spots. If you have a Mugic card or Battlegear card affecting Attacat and giving him Range, he can jump from the middle line, to the front line, then the enemy front line and start combat. Less niche, more versatile, and...

Unfortunately outclassed. He’s simple, he’s straightforward, but as time went on you got creatures who naturally have Range and Swift, or Swift 2 because you can stack that. All of his Disciplines are good, save Courage, so a nice all rounder. If you’re using a Discipline based attack deck he’s great, Elemental based one he would need something to give him elemental power but his Energy is nice and can take a hit or two. But giving him an element, which the newer sets focus on, means he either needs to deal with low Courage, or not having Range. Pick your poison. By no means a bad card, but outclassed.

Biography:

Our Cat man lives in the woods outside a place called Castle Bodhran, near The Pass. He will always say he cautious and not cowardly, that he picks and chooses his fights. That is all we have about his personality. A cowardly cat furry who lives in the woods and can run.

Sorry if this comes off as rude, but why did that warriors post piss you off so much? They do kind of have a point, there really are no other cats-in-the-woods books out there with as much content as warriors, both official and non-official (MAPs, fan-art, etc). I can see why they have a “taking what I can get” mentality with it. Again, so sorry if this sounds rude or antagonistic, I’m just curious

Because im tired of people wanting stories to go on forever and ever it always decreases thw quality of a work. Stories have an end for a reason, and just because a story is short doesnt mean it lacks content.

For example Portal 1 and 2 have active huge fandoms that are still going strong despite the gameplay of both games combined only reaching about 10 hours.

I haven't even gotten through the first four chapters of tailchasers song and theres already more worldbuilding and a more expansive world than warrior cats.

Madoka magica only had 12 episodes and people are STILL analyzing the main series.

Its also the idea that trying new things isn't worth it, the post says it HAS to have all those things. People need to be more adventurous and more open to engaging with media outside of their comfort zones. I mentioned the wprks that I did because all of them scratch that warrior cats itch I used to have, and idk if you noticed, two of them aren't even xenofiction.

I'm tired of people passing blind nostalgia as if its an actual justification for doing something that you very obviously dont enjoy, it's not gonna suddenly become fun again if you keep doing the same thing!

Thank you for sending this ask so I could get my thiughts in order because honestly another factor in my anger is because I am an artist and someone wo likes making stories. And it makes me abgry when people pass off things they could enjoy just because it doesnt hve a giant franchise attached to it. Theres a whole world to discover and yes, even the smallest stories have fandoms and they're probably bigger than you think.
