19.12.23, tuesday
0.5h of coding lol
wasn’t having the best day so decided to finally watch the barbie-movie (it’s on hbo rn) bc figured that could cheer me up
but bc the universe loves a good timing, on the grocery store trip after, some dudes came to me like ”which one of us would u fuck?” and that annoyed me way more than it should’ve. Like cmon, it’s 10pm at a grocery store; if you’re not cottage cheese or olive oil get tf out of my face
just a short evening walk bc it was windy and I was annoyed

“They both get to sleep-in today”
(Click for better quality)
(WOW TUMBLR FUCKED UP THE QUALITY SO BAD WTH)
This is literally just an excuse for me to draw their bedroom.
Headcannons below 👇
-Clean and simple- Asa doesn’t like clutter.
-There’s a walk-in closet on the right of the mirror (you just can’t see it in my drawing lmao)
-Asa wakes up first to pull the curtains, letting the sun in. ( Not on weekends though, so Arkin does it instead )
-Random books Asa keeps stacked on the drawer are for a convenient selection to read before bed.
-Asa uses melatonin gummies to fall asleep easier.
-Arkin keeps post-it notes on his side of the bed to remind him of things to do, he also convinced Asa to put a plant in the room to make it a bit more interesting.
-Arkin is also the only one who needs an alarm clock to wake up.
-Arkin protests keeping *the tooth* on display so publicly, but Asa thinks it goes hand-in-hand with the Mantis.
-Pretty sure Asa vacuums their bedroom once every two days.
-The bottom drawer of their dresser is a collection of broken bed frames… due to their . . . activities (Wesley approves)

Melatonin is a delicate balancing act, it took some time to find a dose that helped me fall and stay asleep without leaving me groggy after 8/10 hours. For me, that has been 10 mg gradually increased to such over a few weeks then steady since.
I also take roughly a week without it every month or two, as the bottle recommends. Listen to your body and do what you can. Good luck, and thank you for the sweet gay were/pire comic<3
Yeah, I can tell my sweet zone is somewhere between 3 and 6 mg, at least right now. Or at least I think it is. Admittedly my sleep has been absolutely horrible since I was a kid so my standards on "not tired" are pretty low, so I'm not actually sure if they're any good right now. All I know is I'm getting more than 2 hours of sleep at a time, and I'm not spending every waking moment fighting off a nap!
Thanks for the confirmation I've gotta test with it and go off and on and such, my doc didn't give me a straight answer on that (he just kept saying take it as needed... I need it every night!!!). 75% of the time being good is way better than 0% so I'll take what I can get!
And the gay comics are the least I can do 🧡 thank you for reading it!

While I don't know much about it, I would probably bet there are tons of issues with the cruise industry that would make me not actually appreciate it broadly speaking - HOWEVER, I do really love a lot of the interior design of some cruise ships.. How it's almost like a miniature city crammed into one area. Multiple sections with all different aesthetic designs, a variety of shops, restaurants, activity centers, community seating areas, communal use spaces (like gyms, laundry, pools, cafeteria/buffet (which I always love anywhere)), etc. etc. but then also everyone has a little nice clean comfortable looking space of their own to retreat back to if they'd like to be alone. Maybe it's something akin to the idea of 'walkable cities', where everything you could ever want to do is kind of right there just a short walk away? I also especially love how so much stuff is stacked on top of other stuff, a layered cluster of spaces, bright open atriums, and when they're set up with little walkways down the center between a bunch of rooms so it's almost like a mini city street with apartments lining it, etc.. They often seem like they'd be SUCH a cool place to live permanently, IF only something identical was just built on solid land instead lol
