Dating Wednesday Addams Would Include
Tumblr media
Wednesday Addams x gn reader
-She would never openly admit it to anyone, but she was already whipped for you before the two of you had even started dating.
-Looking at you when she wasn't in your line of vision so you couldn't see you.
-She could never wrap her head around your immediate loyalty to her when you had befriended her. Not one single lie, and you always told her where you were going and how long you thought you were gonna be.
-She would obviously reply with 'I didn't ask'. But she liked knowing when she would next be expecting to see you.
-She would never tell anyone that either. She's have to kill them if anyone found out.
-As you both grew closer, she would pick up on the little things you did, if it was losing something, she would just so happen to have one herself 'unwillingly' giving it to you.
-And when she had finally figured out why she felt spiders in her stomach around you, she thought you were a witch that had cursed her. Not that she was complaining.
-Maybe you had snuck a love potion into the coffee you brought her selflessly that morning, or any morning she saw you. Actually, scratch that. It was anytime she saw you.
-But mainly when you both went for walks in the night, she totally wasn't staring at you, thinking of how delectable you looked with the moonlight bouncing off your face.
-Eventually the sickening feeling she got around you became way too much, causing her to storm to your dorm and bang on the door, demanding answers.
-Questions like 'What did you do?' or 'It is some sick curse isn't it?'
-All you could do was laugh at the oblivious girl, while she threatened to gouge your eyes out with her bare hands.
-Telling her she wouldn't be able to reach.
-When your laughter had died down you explained to her what she was feeling, while she nodded along. Almost choking when you told her it meant she liked you.
-It took her a moment before she excepted it and asked how you felt.
-To which you reciprocated said feelings.
-After that you were just together.
-Attached to the hip, some may say. It was true though, you followed each other wherever the other went.
-If Wednesday was on an investigation, you followed.
If she was in her dorm during her writing time, you were laying on her bed.
-If you were eating in the lunch hall despite how crowded, she was right next to you.
-If you were in the library or at an extracurricular, guess what. She was there.
-You listened on her rants about her family, or her investigation plans.
-And she listened to you ramble about things you're interested in.
-Doodling on her notes in class, she tried to stop at first but she gave up after a while.
-Coffee dates.
-Definitely convinced you to go grave digging with her once, and she totally didn't laugh when you gagged at the smell of dead bodies.
-Holding hands under tables, she is definitely one of the types to say. 'No one can touch me but you'.
-Will paint your nails like hers if you beg her enough.
-Same goes for cuddling, at first she would just lay beside you with her arms still crossed over her chest. Then it was you laying you head on her chest, her arms crossed over you. And the more and more you cuddled she would become looser and more relaxed until she would curl into you.
-Many many nicknames, all of which are in different languages. Call her cute and she will try and bite your hand off, same goes if you call her short.
-Her kisses are to die for, her lips are always so soft and sweetly tasting for you.
-She one hundred percent sighs into kisses, you can literally feel her melt into you. It's one of the greatest things ever.
-You can only imagine how great making out with her is, especially when she gets touchy.
-Her family ADORES you, Morticia instantly picked up on the way her daughter looked at you, the exact way she looked at Gomez.
-Gomez would definitely fence with you.
-Pugsley loves you too, what he loves most is how he can literally talk to you without you dismissing him like Wednesday does, and he loves your hugs.
-Wednesday just loves you so very much.

JRWI SWAP AU Designs, Doodles and HCs (AU by @lui-gen )
Captain Gill
Tumblr media
With how much OG Chip’s design changes over the course of Riptide I thought it would be cool to do a more mid-campaign design of Gill. The scribbles on his arm are supposed to be lightning tattoos that would parallel chips water ones, they seem like a cool way that gill could show his oath to the open sea, inspired by Finn. Unsure if he would have a prosthetic pinkie but i added it for now until the details of what happens at each island is figured out. I hc that the ship they were on before the albatross would go from the Big Chipper to like Destiny’s Tide or smth like that.
Chip, Jay and Pretzel :D
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
the designs are so fun argh also i can totally imagine Jay’s armour getting more like mechanical if that aspect of her is still there
Caspian aka Captain Trench
Tumblr media
I’m not the best at designing but wanted to have fun drawing a sinister little Caspian. Notable things are the feathers that Price had in his design is flowing water, which is actually also his water whip that he can magically summon the handle for. Also had him and Gill have matching scars across the nose because its fun 💥
Captain Ruben of the Navy
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kept his missing eye and thought the backstory behind it could change so that he lost it in some sort of fight, so the navy replaced it with a magical one and now he uses it as the main weapon in combat (it shoots beams n shit). Initially just drew him in a looser brain but maybe a bun would be more fitting since its more practical. (Far left image is him as a kid)
Origins headcanons
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So obviously, in this swapped au Gill and Chip/Bellamy would meet first. Here, Bellamy works as a bartender and is curious about this trion that claims to have been on the same crew as Arlin, but not enough to answer honestly to any of Gill’s questions. So Gill tries to prove his worth by making Bellamy a drink that he hasn’t had before: a squirty! Thats what I thought of last night at least there could def be a cooler things for them to do,,
Tumblr media
Jay having been brought up very isolated on Fetherbrook, she is not used to seeing people like Gill, so upon her first instinct she assumes he’s some sort of monster and shoots at him (to Chip’s amusement.)
I will surely draw more of this AU as it gets fleshed out but these are all my insane ramblings as of right now

i have been rotating your ffxiv specbio in my head for several days so if you don't mind my asking, would you be willing to elaborate on some of the specbio for miqo'te and lalafell, if you've not done so already?
OF COURSE im gonna focus a bit more on miqo since the main points of lalas were in that doodle
first of all: miqote would be lesser cats — unable to roar, but able to hiss and purr and chirp and yowl! and they do, do this, often. baby miqo are constantly mewling and chirping and crying, and that’s where a communal child rearing culture comes in handy, because you would not make one parent deal with a very needy (and blind for a month) baby alone. Adult miqo use vocalization for emphasis, along with gesture and expression. They very often express two emotions at once while in conversation with their words/expressions and body language, which makes understanding others’ intentions harder for them. Ex: sad tail, angry ears = upset, happy tail, angry face = teasing, angry tail, angry hands = furious. They might get confused if there’s no tail to denote teasing. Tails are used for balance And emotion, ears are used for listening and emotion, etc, sometimes more so than facial expression, which can sometimes look inexpressive to those who haven’t taught themselves how to emote communicatively among other races.
They are fuzzy all over! like my friend izutsumi. Sun cats are usually less furry, having only translucent-to-tip colored fuzz but some moon keepers can get VERY furry, like Maine coons. It tends to be longest on the forearms, ankles, back (like a cheetah ruff, some miqo have a line of long fur going down to their tail. Whole body Mohawk), and stomach trail, and shortest on the face, most having only peach fuzz up there. Fur length can vary no matter the miqo, and fur pattern also varies - unlike cats, stripes or spots will sometimes color the skin as well. Prominent fur patterns are pretty rare. Please do not shave your miqo’te, it was a bit more popular a few years ago and it turns out it can lead to very patchy or ingrown coats that require shaving for the rest of ever. They have rough tongues and they have brushes and combs, they can take care of their fur, and sometimes other miqos’ fur. Grooming, though, is either for baby or for people you’re close with. Babies are scrungly.
Tumblr media
My friend Izutsumi vv
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miqo can digest raw meat, but it’s really more of a you can eat tree bark if you’re lost in the woods situation. The correct thing to do is bring the hunt back home, so everyone can cook and eat. They are not obligate carnivores, but their systems need more meat than a hyur would. They have non-retractable claws, and every miqo has fangs, though sun seekers tend to have bigger chunkier fangs and moon keepers thinner and longer canines. It has to do with the size/type of their prey.
They also have slightly looser skin like a cat. This doesn’t really mean they have wrinkles all over, it means they’re a bit stretchy? They can wriggle their naturally lithe bodies into weird positions to climb and run, and if you give a miqo a mochi kiss it will look like a cartoon. Older male cats (mostly, but it can happen to anyone) will often develop tomcat jowls as they age, and it’s basically balding for a cat in the societal sense, because miqo don’t bald with age. Their fur gets scraggly (but there are hairless cats out there). It’s often considered attractive! Some families consider it a sign that the cat is getting too old.
Miqo’te can see in the dark, and have a reflective layer in their eyes. moon keepers are very adept at darkvision, having near perfect vision at night, and have a little trouble in bright desert sun, while sun seekers have to deal with vastly reduced color perception at night and have pupils that can go very thin to block out sun. Their cheetah face marks help with this!
Lalafell, too, have a difference in eye biology across their species. Only dunesfolk have a thin third eyelid, to repel sand while keeping their eyes open, while plainsfolk have eyes that work similar to a sun seeker. No layered eyelid, just a vertical pupil. All of them have tapetum lucidum.
Also, last point for fun, lalafell stay the same size from 8 years old to 100 years old, and before then they’re about the size of a small hedgehog (baby) to about the size of a kinda small Lala (3-8). A point of annoyance for elezen, who stay the size of a child until they’re 20 or so and then have the worst growing pains in history at a point where complaining about it is less acceptable than getting mad as a kid because your legs hurt. The reason you don’t see very many baby lala is the same reason you don’t see many baby pigeons. You either do and don’t realize it, or they’re VERY SMALL and bundled in blankets or sitting at home and not in the city. A good way to tell if you’re talking to a ten year old or a thirty year old Lala (aside from their intelligence and mannerisms) is by looking at their ears. The tips will darken with age — young lalafell will have light colored ears, sometimes with white fuzz, mature lalafell will have dark ear tips. Good to know for bartenders.
Baby lalafell also have sharp needle teeth. Much like baby miqo, roe, and au ra. Unlike those three, the sharp teeth go away. They’re helpless pink beans when they’re newborns, they will not hesitate to bite you if you bother them too much.

do you have any general art tips??
YES! OMGGJJF IM SORRY I DIDNT GET TO THIS SOONER i had this saved in my drafts for a while D: BUT! without further ado, get ready for me to bestow them upon you 😈
- whenever i do full-body character refs / dynamic stuff? i like to start off with the shape of the art first before getting to the guidelines.
following the shapes and making a rough doodle of the dynamics helps me better structure the body language without worrying about the anatomy early on. anatomy is my weakest point when it comes to character designs, so for me, i find it better to start with some random shapes THEN working my way to more complex details.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(some good examples of that :])
- this is just a general preference? but when it comes to art and you hate refining the lineart, making things neat, AND it takes a really long time to finish art (and it bothers you), might i suggest trying a looser approach to art?
heres a prime example of that! in 2020, i used to be very keen on making my art super neat. i even tried making the guidelines as neat as possible which? tbh didnt work out for me a lot. i would find myself constantly redoing the guidelines, then trying my VERY best to make the lines as neat as possible. it took a few weeks to finish these kind of drawings, and it didnt help when i liked the sketch MORE than the lineart. (some art would take up to 15 hours)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
over time, i started making my lines looser. i shifted away from making refined lineart and started making the sketches themselves the lineart. my lineart started becoming messier, but i liked how it gave it that more “authentic” look. i stopped worrying about trying to accurately translate the feeling of my sketches to my lineart, and drawing became a lot more quicker. although its a bit more tedious to color (i have to do it manually now), i still like this process a bit more. :]
Tumblr media Tumblr media
you could just faintly see the guidelines in my recent art :] sometimes i include the guidelines, sometimes i make the guidelines a different layer. it really depends on how i feel, but i loved doing looser art more. the quackity art took 4 hours, the simpbur-argbur art took 2 hours. :D
- lastly, dont be afraid to take inspo from others’ art!! when i developed my art, i always took small bits of others’ art and incorporated them into mine. as artists, we always copy each other.
not in the way where we’re outright duplicating entire artworks as our own, but in the way where we’re like “oh cool, you do eyelashes like that? i wanna do my eyelashes like that too!” kinda?
for my art, i was always super inspired by how people make super warm art and had this kinda, white background to them. i tried incorporating that into my art style and started loving it :]
pinterest with their photos too? sometimes photos of people wearing cool outfits or random backgrounds help inspire my artstyle. take as much inspo as you’d like from others, don’t be hesitant to be inspired! of course, you’re welcome to give credit whenever.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
hopefully some of these help :] feel free to ask questions and ask to elaborate! i just woke up and typed this out while still waking up HAGSHHA!

Now that we're entering into 2024, I'm asking some artists and writers that I follow:
1) What is the one piece you're most proud of from this past year?
2) What are some pieces that you would have liked more people to see? If you can include links, I'd love to go check them out!
3) What were your top three favorite pieces (art, comics, fics, etc) that someone else has made this past year?
(As always, no pressure to respond! Feel free to just ignore, or let me know if you'd rather I not send you these kinds of asks in the future.)
Oh let's see!
1 ) Fic wise, i'm really proud of "Proud Family Tradition". I was actually able to finish it this year, which i'm super excited about and, in general, i just love how it turned out vibe wise.
Art wise, that's a hard one. Um...I'm going to go with the "Non-cannon Leo meets Clara comic" b/c i love how it turned out. The looser render style mixed with the limited dialogue and not-overly-distinct panels look so cool together. and it helped me start experimenting with other brushes by doing so.
2 ) Probably anything with Jenny (from Family Web). For whatever reason she doesn't tend to get very many notes at all, especially compared to anything else really.
For specific things, ummm...probably My Good Omens doodle from september. I redid a panel from an old animatic of mine and I love how the whole thing turned out, but it didn't do well at all. And Maybe my Forever Alone animatic. Again, love how it turned out, but it's for an au that i haven't really done much with beyond this and a donnieverse stop so it didn't get seen as much as i would have liked. It's based on the first thing i wrote for rise (though i haven't quite posted it yet. I've got to get on that) and i learned a lot making that video. Heck, i even got a decent looking fightscene in there lol.
3 ) Only 3?? ok, i'm gonna try lol.
ok, so no particular order (b/c i'm literally just going through my bookmarks on ao3 lol)
"things that ought to Crawl" by mudlarkspur (WisteriaParfait) (AO3). A very good "Draxum finds a little feral donnie and accidentally becomes a parent along the way". Very cute. Love it. Been meaning to do some fanart but haven't gotten the chance (or courage) to do so yet.
"Minor Interference" by bambiraptorx (AO3). Basically The turtles accept Draxum's offer to train them so they can prank him while doing so and everyone starts catching familiar feelings along the way. Super cute. definitely recommend if you want some chaotic shenanigans and occasional fluff : )
oh last one...um....ummm....ummmmmmmmm........Oh!
"Rotten Reflections" by Nicoforlife (AO3). Rise Leo and Donnie end up in 12tmnt, but it's dark/suspenseful, and they're both feral and injured. Idk, i just love this fic in general. I've read it 3+ times over the last year (i don't really reread that much that quickly, so that's significant) and will be rereading again so to catch up. (i'm behind on all my reading atm. it's sad) I just vibe with it. Again, another fic i need to do fanart for but haven't yet.
(this was so hard! There's just so many i love. picking only 3 was very difficult)
Thank you!!

I'm opening commissions!
I have a lot of ways I can do art, so I've categorized them into Refined Pieces—those that are more planned and detailed, and Doodle Pieces, which are simpler and looser. They're also divided between materials (Watercolor; Marker; Pure Lineart and Pencil Sketch).
Here's some examples (please click on them, Tumblr destroys picture quality hahah):
Refined Piece — Watercolor — Fullbody, Half Body, and Bust
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Refined Piece — Bust — Markers
Tumblr media
Doodle Piece — Markers — Doodle Panels
Tumblr media
Doodle Piece — Marker // Pencil Sketch — Doodle Page
Tumblr media
Doodle Piece — Watercolor — Character Sketches
Tumblr media
I can offer more examples if you'd like! Just ask away, and we can chat about the details in DMs!
Here are my charted prices:
Refined Pieces (Flat Colors):
Tumblr media
Doodle Pieces (Flat Color)
Tumblr media
A few specifics:
- The charted prices are set for USD, but I'm 100% willing to negotiate other currencies!
- Small Doodle Panels (max 3 characters per full price; +50 cents per additional character)
- Doodle Page (1 focal character; +50 cents per "cameo"/minor additional character)
- Character Sketches (1 focal character; 1$ per additional character)
- Refined Pieces are single character-only, though I could try a duo for an additional price. DM to discuss these specifics!
- Background Prices can be discussed as well. Flat color backgrounds are optional and free in Refined, Colored Pieces!
- You should send me references of the character(s) you'd like me to draw. I'll do my best to draw them, but if for some reason I can't do it, you may keep every single drawing of my attempts for free and may pick a different character. This can go on until a satisfying result is achieved, or if you'd rather pull back.
- You can contact me through Tumblr DMs, and if you'd like you can ask my Discord username if you'd prefer to chat there!
A dear friend of mine is struggling while living alone in college, so I decided to open commissions for the first time to help her out !! Everything I get will be donated to her while I get to practice doing the whole business.
Reblogs are super appreciated!!

Man, sometimes I want to challenge dogblr to Find Three Programs You Like when (serious) arguments about what kinds of dogs are good and which kind are awful come up.
For example, I was totally out there kvetching that Clumbers are the worst several months ago--and then I think it was @fjordfolk ? someone posted a working Clumber screenshot from Crufts and I found out that there's this whole British organization breeding Clumbers that actually look like pretty decent dogs. Not my cup of tea, but I can totally get why they might be just exactly what someone else would LOVE. Here's three breeders whose programs I can seriously respect. Are there things I would like them to do differently or better? Sure. But I like all of them. As a bonus, because the British working people appear to rarely advertise their damn dogs online, all three are North American breeders--ie, exactly the people who DON'T have access to that neat organization. (One is essentially in my back yard, even.)
Okay, but Clumbers are kind of a punchline to dog nerds... but not to anyone else, because they're a very uncommon breed, not one that's aimed at a popular audience. What about doodles? If a friend of mine approached me and said, I want a Labradoodle, medium sized to large, to be my rowdy kid's pet and occasional hiking buddy, what would I say? Where would I point them?
I've never bothered looking for a doodle breeder before, so it took me a minute to find the ALAA (that's the Australian Labradoodle Association of America), which has some pretty great metrics for its breeders and an open studbook allowing purebred Poodle, Cocker, and Labrador outcrosses to boot. They require hip and elbow testing at bare minimum and offer special labels for breeders that also do a wide range of other health testing. Here are a few I liked. And honestly I could have looked for a lot longer; I stopped mostly because this is already getting long, but I found a lot of people doing pretty well.
Doing stuff like this lets me get a quick and dirty sense for what kinds of things are actually happening in breed communities I'm not part of. Turns out it's really easy to find a doodle breeder that health tests out the nose, but harder to find one that does formal temperament evaluations; I picked the ones I did because they emphasize CGCs or therapy dog statuses. That strikes me as pretty common for lapdog and companion oriented breeds, though, and it's not like conformation showing is an option in that community. By contrast, the thing I struggled with on Clumbers was not titling--as far as I can tell pretty much everyone breeding Clumber Spaniels is involved with showing and often, at least in the upper Midwest, also hunting--but emphasis on healthy conformation. I saw a few breeders loudly proclaiming that Clumbers are just built loosely so a certain amount of fair hip sockets are okay (??) and more than a few producing dogs with much looser, droopier eyelids than I like to see.
I think as dog nerds, it's very easy to both be negative about dogs we don't like and also to be wary about praising breeders that seem okay, lest someone come in and tell us that our ethics are loose and our morals impaired. Especially for those of us who work in pet care, also, it's easy to see the most problematic dogs and generalize them to entire groups because a) they're the ones causing issues and are therefore memorable, and b) they're probably being owned by people whose animal care is otherwise problematic, and it's easy to imagine that those people would somehow handle things better if they had a different sort of dog. Unfortunately that is not how humans actually work.
But like I said earlier this week, I like cattle dogs. I can tell you immediately where the problems are in my breed, and what I was looking for two years ago when I started seriously looking at breeders. It's scary for a new person to navigate, especially since people are often really wary of publicly praising breeders because the criticisms come flowing thick and fast. But this is a bad way to treat dog fancy and ethical dog production. For one thing, it plays right into the hands of animal rights activists who think that there's no responsible way to breed dogs, and that way lieth there being no dogs at all for anyone. For another, it makes finding breeders inaccessible to the very same new people you want to find better dogs in the first place! So let's try something different. Let's try practicing finding three good programs before we levy criticisms: if nothing else, the exercise of finding those good problems will tell us a lot more about what is really out there than our assumptions, and it will also tell us what voices need to be boosted to help make those spaces better too.

22!!
Thank you for this ask! What an interesting question :D
22. What's something you'd love to draw but haven't yet?
Hmm... I feel like of all things I haven't drawn, I'd definitely like to start on the ones I plan to draw! Like for one thing, all my unfinished and unstarted comics (both original and fancomics) but also, more generally, I'd like to draw more quiet scenes because I feel like those subtle and calm scenes can be really hard to do compared to action! I'm so used to practicing action that it would be interesting to practice more of the opposite as well haha :D
Also maybe talking scenes. Those are hard to picture for me in comics, but feel easier to imagine as animation (because of the one camera), so maybe I should practice more of those too.
These are old comics, but I'm reminded of these ancient fancomics from 2016. The sparring comic was fun to do (even if it looks old and unclear now) but in comparison, this talking-heads page from the same year feels more boring to look at, even if the planning was sorta the same (I was more focused on trying to figure out a good and easier way to letter and speechbubble the comic and left the layout really simple)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Maybe one thing I'd like to draw more, is just these looser and more energetic pages, like this newer comic from around 2020
Tumblr media
more stuff like this, even if it's much sketchier, it feels more clear because the intention is stronger here than the older comics, where I often fumbled around with the lines a lot and redrew things as I kept looking for the "right line" instead of just going with the flow.
so i guess, lol, just more comics? more fancomics on day!!
uhhh, but these are all sorta things I've already tried drawing so.... of things I haven't drawn yet... yeah, maybe comics with non-human characters, like robots or aliens. or maybe something easier to draw, where the moments between the panels, the flow of the story become a bigger part than the drawings alone. that would be interesting to draw if I get there one day :P Maybe I should pick something more realistic haha! of general work, I'd definitely like to one day animate more animals. I actually have a dragon animation in the works right now that I'm still doodling along and thinking about.
of general fanart topics... I wanna draw Yamato from One Piece right now this past month!! I've been wanting draw him for a long time but just haven't found the moment to sit down yet, so I'm looking forward to it haha xD What a cool guy! I think he'll be fun to draw. I definitely put too many expectations on myself, even with fanart, so that's why I never finish or even start some drawings... I'm just imagining something bigger than I can draw at that moment!! but lol I'll definitely get over that hesitation now, I've been in the mood to draw much more as of late than before. I'll just think of the fun moments of drawing!!
What about you? you don't have to answer it, but I'm curious now xD

I think the only reason licorice might come off as super weird is because we don’t hear enough about Sweethearts side. We get lots of BB being obsessed with her and stuff but we don’t get much of how obsessed she is with him so it might come off one sided to people. But it’s not she’s just more tame. I know it not really an ask or something that needs answering just something I noticed cause I’m very ✨normal✨ about this ship.
Oh yeah, Bitterbat has nothing to lose and has looser rules tied to him so he can even flirt on the job.
But Sweetheart has so many restraints from being a hero from the city and even herself that she doesn't get as many opportunities to really be bonkers over him unless they're at home. And even then, she has so many responsibilities compared to him.
So her obsession has to be contained and only escapes in small bursts like fangirling to herself when she thinks about him or sees some news article or picture of him. Or it is over shadowed by Bitterbat's obsession where he will gush about her or does something unhinged and Sweetheart is head over heels about it but it comes off as her just being a girl in love when in reality she fuckin loves how crazy he gets sometimes and will think about that demented look he gets in his eyes.
And when she is obsessing, it's often to herself. She has a notebook she's had since she was small where she wrote stories and doodled and planned their future together (like the Mei notebook scene from Turning Red).
She still leans towards the color purple as a preference for certain things. She kept his scarf that he gave her as kids before he left and refuses to part with it to the point she struggles sleeping sometimes if she doesn't have it.
She can keep her patience with Delight but the second she says anything negative about Bitterbat, like calling him a coping mechanism she needs to stop playing around with, she gets livid and immediately has to leave the situation.
ALSO due to her power being Eros based, she can actually be a danger to everyone around her if she gets too enamoured with Bitterbat. When her hair and eyes glow, she is packing heat and could level a chunk of the city if she ain't careful.
She has nearly killed ONE villain who was trying to kill her to win over Bitterbat. It got VERY close and that was one of the few times she let herself fully enter "He is MINE" mode when she had her fun held at point blank and her finger on the trigger with full intent to send a fully charged blast through their skull.
Basically, it's safe to assume in most cases, if Bitterbat does or says something to her while in lovestruck mode, she is thinking or hoping for the equivalent.

I am literally obsessed with ur art. You seem to understand exactly what makes something look real and alive, and exactly how to combine that with your own sense of flow and style. That combination breathes a whole new level of life and personality and energy into your artwork, and it's a delicate balancing act that you've achieved with the grace of an acrobat.
And a lot of the time with fanart of live action shows, it feels like I'm looking at someone's depiction of an actor in a costume. But when I look at your art, I immediately see the character. I don't see James Lance, I see Trent Crimm. That's a whole other layer of skill I don't have the words to describe.
It must have taken a lot of work to get to where you are now — I can see hours and hours of practice behind everything, even your simplest sketches and doodles. Thousands of imperceptible moments, something something, inevitable conclusion, Trent Crimm. Your art is inspiring and I'm glad I exist in a universe where I can perceive it. Thank you for sharing your work!
Anon, this might legitimately be one of the sweetest messages I’ve ever gotten ;-; so for starters I want to say —from the bottom of my heart— thank you so much for saying this ;;-;;
I dont really know what to say really;; I pride myself in getting likenesses as close as I can while keeping my own sense of style. I’ve been experimenting with a looser style over the last few months and I think it’s done well to add some of that “life” you talk about.

how long does it usually take you to draw? and any tips on trying to be more loose and comfortably quick with art as a whole?
UM.. really depends on what im up to, really. im always doodling throughout the day and dont finish stuff a whole lot. i can get stuff done in a couple hours or a day and other stuff it takes me weeks (mainly bc of the executive dysfunction, lol) im constantly doodling, i dont like not working !!
a thing that helped me was drawing with pen (traditional), or some other non-erasable too. you kind of have to live with the mistakes, which makes you lean into drawing looser, if that makes sense!? another tip i have is just drawing the vague shapes instead of exact lines - gets you in the groove. and also i suggest trying out contour drawing, that really requires you to be more loose.
a lot of it is gradual, so dont be too upset if you feel your art is too stale or something. took me a really long time to get it loose enough that i like (and i still feel like its too rigid sometimes)

Hello Alena! i Love your loose sketchy but colorful art style! 😍 I'm a fellow artist but for years i've struggled with trying to just sketch and be loose. I'm always taking even just a post-it-note sketch so seriously and automatically try to be a perfectionist and add in all the details! it's frustrating since i also can't get all i want to sketch done because i'm being meticulous with each sketch. even with just a simple lineart sketch. you're so great and wonderful at what i'm trying to accomplish. do you please have any advice?? 😫😩😵🥴 I love how you do the smooth lineart and expressions for the Bnha characters btw!
Hi! First of all, thanks, I'm glad you like my stuff! <3 I actually have a friend who's quite similiar in that aspect, she can draw super well, putting hours of work into one drawing until it looks perfect. That's a dedication that I admire, because I'd never have the patience to spend so much energy for one artwork! On the other hand, I see how that could get in the way of wanting to work faster and looser. I've always scribbled and sketched a lot, so when I struggled it was always the other way round, having to learn not to rush things. But I'm sure it's something that can be learnt as it is with pretty much everything :) I'll try to give you advice of what I think might be helpful, but different people like to work in different ways, so some of that might end up just not working for you, while other stuff might. (I'll be putting this under a cut, this could get longer)
One thing that might be helpful could be the medium you draw on! When drawing in a new sketchbook or having a nice white sheet of paper in front of you, I tended to get intimidated and think that I need to fill this paper with something nice and beautiful, so as not to "waste" it. Especially with new sketchbooks, I think everybody knows that feeling...Now, nearly all drawings and sketches I do are done on left over paper from me and my partner, stuff that would have been thrown away otherwise because one side is already printed on. It takes away the pressure of having to give it your all, because, if it would land in the trash either way, I can't ruin or waste it by doing only sketches and little doodles.
While we're talking about mediums, you might try changing the pencil. I'd try something that won't give you such clean lines, so that simply by using this pen, you are already limited to how detailed you can get. I enjoy using coloured pencils now and then, like a red polychromo, they allow me to make light sketches and then, when I put more pressure on it, I can simply draw with the same pencil over the sketch, but making the newer lines stand out more and thus putting focus on special parts of the drawing. This is sometimes not that easy with a normal lead pencil, black will always stand out more than a light red for example. I also like to draw with 2B or 4B for sketches, and don't sharpen the pencil too often. :) Keeps the line a bit blurry sometimes, and I can put a quick shading on if I want.
Now, getting more to some actual drawing advice, learning to be quick with a drawing, without caring so much about how it might end up looking, this might be something you'll have to properly learn doing...like, for example, setting yourself time limits for a drawing. A classic, though still good way to do this, is by using figure drawing videos like this. It will show the person being in different poses for maybe 1, 2 minutes (later on it will get longer) and that's the time you have for one pose, not longer. It's tiresome and overwhelming at first because you won't know where to start, but it will actually give you a feeling for movement of the body, learning which lines to draw, and which you can leave out and still convey the body language and make it a convincing, realistic sketch. In a way, what you want to achieve with a sketch is often quickly show a scene, or a pose that you want the character to be in. It doesn't have to look beautiful or cleaned up, but it must be (or at least it would be nice if it were) convincing, using only a few lines, but conveying what a finished drawing will or could look like in the end. That's where figure drawing lessons are really helpful, because it will help you get a feeling for how you can quickly make a character look like they are e.g. sitting, or angry, or ready to jump in the air...and so on. Phew, I could talk a lot more about this, and I would eventually end back up at me advicing everybody to learn anatomy, but it's always a question of what you want to achieve in the end, and if that is really necessarry for you and where you want to go with your drawings :)
Hm, another small thing might be no try not using your eraser for sketches? Just put it out of reach, and if there's a line you don't like, either ignore it, draw over it, or start anew. I'm wondering if this is actually helpful or just stressful, but it might be worth trying out. It might help to get past the idea, that your sketches have to look good!
For now, that's kinda all I can think about. This topic is super interesting though! I might not be the best person to give advice here, so maybe ask different people too for their approaches. If I can think of any more stuff, I'll write that in another post, for now I hope this is someway helpful, even it's not that much! Good luck with your art!

So. My interest in crafting a variation of Scarecrow that leans into the "violent dancing" aspect aka turning him into more of a physical threat has also somehow spiraled into making him the leader of a fear cult. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
So it all started with some dc wiki perusal and, at the mention of his violent dancing style, the page linked to the wiki entry for drunken boxing. I don't know why this is tbh, but the ideas started percolating. Now, I wouldn't apply any of the styles 1:1 to Jonathan because I don't think it'd be suitable; he wouldn't be like Jackie Chan in the Drunken Master, etc. The general conception, however, is very appealing:
Tumblr media
It's unpredictable. Disorienting. Pretty ideal for someone who enjoys dishing out some delicious fear. But one of my fave parts:
Tumblr media
I like the idea of him appearing unbalanced even when he's not actively engaged with an adversary. Because someone standing there looking like they could fall over is just a fun and potentially unsettling gimmick. Of course, this would also mean he has killer core strength. As much as I like ghoulishly thin Dr. Crane, this version would have muscle. He'd still be an ectomorph body type though so definitely more wiry and flexible.
Going from there, I started pondering on designs which would facilitate a more active fighter. My idea is very derivative of the Arkham Asylum version followed by TNBA Scarecrow and Arkham Knight designs for vibes. Looser/less clothing, more practical than spooky (unfortunately). My version of his mask is more horror movie to accommodate that. I asked myself what scares me and that's mortality and body horror, so some skull elements were definitely used. I'd love to go more into detail about it but it'd be better to have a doodle to go with my atomic level rambling on design choices. Initially, I veered more towards a medieval executioner feel, but it 1. was before I was like "okay but what if he had a cult" and 2. didn't mesh with the fighting thing. I guess. I kept it though since his look changes with a single article of clothing and it works with the whole life and death theme I have going. I call one look the Shepherd (has a hood, sickle with long handle as a "shepherd's crook" for weapon) and the other the Executioner (mask only, full on scythe mode). This would make more sense with drawings, though I'm not much of an artist. (T▽T) I'll still try though. Soon.
I don't know where the cult idea popped up from. Maybe it was the God of Fear comic storyline? Maybe it's all the shitty darksynth with ominous pipe organ and satanic chanting I listen to??? Anyway. The general idea is college professor Jonathan Crane would really like funding for experiments related to fear, but no one is interested. Somehow gets the idea to start some secret society (named something edgy and cool like Eye of the Crow Order) based on, you guessed it: fear! The concept would be making individuals stronger mentally by forcing them to confront their fears. And other philosophical bs. At least on the surface. Jonny boy really just wants willing participants in his experiments but shhhh they don't know that. Induction into the group would involve being injected with a weaker form of the fear toxin or something. With time, more people join in. People who want to get hit with the fear toxin again would prob get subjected to higher dosage or a more experimental variant.
The turning point is after he's fired for, you know, the whole shooting a gun in a classroom thing. He kidnaps those responsible and decides to make a spectacle of their murder during a meeting of the secret society. This causes massive division within the group and a double or nothing scenario; people who aren't cool with murder and craziness obviously bail out, but those completely devoted to the "doctrine" go all in. And so begins the era of Scarecrow and his fanatical cult following.
This version would have no need to hire thugs. He has his "flock" fully willing to carry out his vision. The most committed of them (his "Disciples" perhaps?) are probably those who volunteer for multiple occurrences of fear toxin experimentation (and live through it) which has left them a bit unhinged and probably very dangerous. These are the ones which would likely also get shipped to Arkham if caught. But yeah, the cult angle is great because it adds an element of intrigue (is this otherwise polite Gotham citizen part of his cult??) and it makes Scarecrow a bit more threatening not only to Batman and the Batfam, but to the other rogues. Can't imagine some of the latter would be very keen on dealing with zealous cult members if a team-up was orchestrated.
As for Jonathan, the whole thing starts as a front just to get bodies to experiment on but, after huffing enough toxin over the years, he starts fully believing he is the Master of Fear and deserves to be worshiped over it. ALSO. He has a nice, tidy murder of crows. He gets all of them to mimic the sound of creepy laughter and say "hroo hraa" :)
also also trying not to feel A Way at him calling his followers "lambs"

Panic
*AU* Sorry I've been AFK for a while. I've been busy attending to stuff *Don't want to get too personal*. However, I'm back and ready to type! So, I wrote this fanfic about our favorite little killer doll. This one's a little long so bear with me here! That's all for now, BYE!
It was a Wednesday afternoon, the twins were in school, Tiffany was out shopping for some new clothes, and Chucky was on the couch watching some Tv.
"Nothin good nowadays hm"
He began to doze off and starring into the great unknown. He cracked his neck to let off some tension and did a quick stretch before getting up. He walked over to the fridge to grab a drink and became lost in his thoughts. He walked over to his and Tiffany's dresser and began digging seeing what treasures he could find in that sea of lost memories as his wife called it. After a few minutes of looking, he found an old notebook of his, probably from when he was still in school. He wasn't sure why he still had it with him, so he decided to take a look inside. He flipped through some pages. Old homework, unfinished math problems, short passages, essays, and small doodles every now and then. He found one that had a striking resemblance to Tiffany when they were kids. He chuckled to himself he probably drew it during class or break. He flipped to the very end of the notebook and froze. He dropped the book onto the floor letting some of the weaker looser pages fly out and fall to the floor. His hands began to tremble and swing side to side. He looked down; those two pools of crystal-clear water stared down at the floor. It was a photo. It was THE photo. The last photo he had of himself and his parents. His mother and his waste of a father. He locked eyes with his father, Buring with anger and cooled by fear. All the memories came flooding back. Piece by Piece. He clenched his teeth and shut his eyes tight, not letting light seep into the cracks of his eyelids Remembering his horrific childhood.
"YOU'RE USELESS!"
"I SHOULD HAVE PUSHED, YOUR MOTHER DOWN THE STAIRS WHILE SHE WAS CARRYING YOU!"
"YOU ARE A FUCKING DISGRACE! A PARASITE "
"YOU'RE WORTHLESS! YOU HEAR ME! A FUCKING WASTE!"
'YOU ARE A FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT CHARLES! YOU SHOULD HAVE NEVER BEEN BORN!"
Chucky's hands began to tremble. He felt his grip on the bottle loosen, till it eventually fell and shattered into hundreds of pieces.
" I'm not HIM!"
He felt his chest tighten. The room felt like it was spinning, and the world was against him. His gasps of air became more frequent and heavier. He felt hot tears forming in his eyes. His hands violently shaking. One trying to steady himself by leaning against the wall and the other entangled in his hair. He rocked on his heels trying to distract himself but to no avail. He aimlessly looked around trying to find something to call him down. He felt dizzy and weak. As if he could give out at any moment.
"YOU'RE FUCKING WORTHLESS!"
His father taunts repeated in Chucks head.
"YOU'RE FUCKING WORTHLESS! YOU HEAR ME!"
"WORTHLESS!"
" A DISGRACE!"
"USELESS"
" A FUCKING CURSE!"
Both hands came up to his head trying to steady himself. Teeth clenched, eyes shut tight, his body rocking side to side then back and forth. He couldn't find himself; his mind was scattered. He couldn't focus.
"Honey! I'm home! So how was you--"
"Oh god...... CHUCKY!"
Tiffany looked at her husband. He was in full panic mode. Hyperventilating and sweating bullets. This wasn't Tiffany's first rodeo on dealing with Chucky's panic/anxiety attacks, but this has got to be one of the worst ones he's had in a while. She placed a hand on his shoulder. He swatted it away, not on purpose but out of pure reflex. Tiffany understood this and calmly spoke to him, trying for him to focus on her and only her. Trying to help him regain his thoughts.
"Hey. Hey. Chucky, Sweetface, look at me. Just breathe you're going to be ok. It'll pass. Is it ok if I touch you?"
He simply nodded, unable to speak trying to regulate his breathing. Tiffany placed a gentle hand on his shoulder. He slowly began to relax. He leaned back into Tiffany. She stroked his long red hair. Tiffany felt a small squeeze in her left hand, it was Chucky.
"Come on, Deep breathes. IN.....OUT"
"T"
"Ti-"
"Tiff"
She gently hugged him.
"Don't worry. I'm right here. I'm not going to leave you. It'll pass. Trust me."
Charles lifted his other hand over his face. His breathing began to slow to a normal pace. The flashbacks subsided, and the tension in his muscles loosened. He took a deep breath and leaned in towards Tiffany. His back to her chest, his scarred-up neck resting on her shoulders. Fingers interlocking with one another. He just lay there with his wife.
There was an awkward silence. All they could hear was each other's breathing patterns, almost in sync. She stroked his hair.
"So" She wrapped her arms around him, "Wanna tell what triggered it?"
He didn't speak. He just let out a weak grunt motioning his head toward the photo. She reached out and picked it up.
"Ah, I see"
"I"
He took another deep breath.
"I-I was caught off guard.........That's all."
She rubbed his shoulder, in an attempt to relax him.
" I know, everyone has bad days. It's ok"
He dug his head further into her arms.
"I love you"
Tiffany placed a kiss on his forehead.
"I love you too."
She embraced him for a long while until she got a look around the house.
"Now, how about we clean this mess up before the kids get home, and later we can relax."
"Oh, Yeah, o-ok"
"And Chucky!"
"Yeah?"
"You are Charles Lee Ray. Don't forget that. You are an amazing father and husband. The man I love and always will. Ok? I love you."
Chucky smiled. A real genuine smile.
"I love you too Tiffany Valentine"
"You mean Tiffany Ray" *points to ring finger*
Chucky let out a small chuckle. "Yes, Mrs. Ray. Now let's clean up all this shit."
Tiffany let out a small little laugh. Her asshole of a husband was back and God, she loved him. She noticed the picture on the floor. She made sure to grab the photograph before Chucky could see it again.
