FINAL CABIN PLACEMENTS I DON'T WANT TO EDIT IT AFTER THIS

So many of y'all had so many good ideas (and since a lot of these i came up with without any real reasoning) here's my updated version that i think fits A LOT better

#1 Zeus Cabin: Jimmy, Joel Jimmy: He's a Zeus kid, but everyone somehow forgets about it. Joel: He's competitive and strong. Also, because Jimmy is his half brother through godly parent, i get to make a fun bit about him dating Lizzie. And one of his origins in Afterlife SMP was a thunderborn

#2 Hera Cabin: Scott, Impulse, Ren Scott: Scott's whole thing is loyalty. Hera is the goddess of marriage and is insanely loyal to Zeus. However, I feel like Hera should get at least one affair. So now Scott can use peacocks as weapons. Impulse: According to @dawnfire7 Impulse is known for loyalty, which i did not know. He's also known to hold grudges. Perfect Hera kid. Ren: He's apparently known for loyalty (and i didn't really like his Nike placement anyway)

#3 Poseidon Cabin: XB XB: Something about water temple guardians

#4 Demeter Cabin: Sausage, Shelby, Bdubs, Stress Sausage: This man built Sanctuary in a jungle and has flowers in his hair. He sells wood. There is no other place to put him. Shelby: Mushroom gnome, spooky mangrove witch, powerful storm witch, i need not continue. Bdubs: Moss man. Stress: SHE HAS FLOWERS

#5 Ares Cabin: Martyn, False Martyn: His planet is Mars, which is the roman version of Ares. He ended Limited Life in such a violent way, i can't help it. He was also red for the majority of Secret Life. False: I just feel like False should get to kill people more often.

#6 Athena Cabin: Grian, Pix, Owen, Xisuma Grian: This sums it up pretty well

Pix: Smart man. Archeologist and definitely a nerd. I wanna see him skipping out on training just so he can read history books. Owen: He likes to explore and discover new things in Pirates. In Rats, he's a tinkerer. In New Life, he's an explorer who wants to study hybrids. In Empires, he's a Llama who's curious about how humans work. Just a very curious character overall. Xisuma: Admin. I'm not elaborating.

#7 Apollo Cabin: Oli, Lyarrah Oli: MUSIC. MAN. Lyarrah: She writes the captions for the hermitcraft recap.

#8 Artemis Cabin: Pearl, Gem Pearl: Y'know, Artemis could've just like... had a kid, even though she took that oath. It wouldn't even have to be with a guy. Gods can change to whatever gender they want. Anyway, Pearl gets to be an Artemis kid because her symbolism is moon, she loves dogs, and will commit murder and hunt at night. Gem: Someone really wanted these girls to be sisters, and I think Gem and pearl should get to hunt at night and be fierce together. Oh, and she's got the whole deer aesthetic.

#9 Hephaestus Cabin: Doc, Mumbo, Tango, Zedaph, Fwhip, Iskall Doc: Redstone Mumbo: Redstone Tango: Redstone Zedaph: Redstone Fwhip: Redstone AND has a red scarf (don't ask me how that's relevant) Iskall: Redstone

#10 Aphrodite Cabin: Keralis, Skizz, Bigb Keralis: Okay, I don't know why, but Keralis gives me the vibes of a very charming person. His voice is nice to listen to, so imagine how useful it'd be if I gave him charm speak. Skizz: Person in the tags said he was really charming and you can't help but love him. I agree. He's here now. Bigb: Smooth talker. Someone (i think it was Scott) said in one of their videos "It's hard to kill him while he's talking". Charmspeak. Ma man, go do chaos.

#11 Hermes Cabin: Scar, Etho, Joe Scar: Trader Scar, scammer extraordinar. Etho: All i must say is Shady-E's. I get "jack-of-all-trades, master of none, often better than master of one" vibes from him. He's funny, he's mischievous, it just works. Joe: Comedy man. Excellent delivery. And, yet again, i look at this man and go "That right there is a multi-talented man with a habit for mischief."

#12 Dionysus Cabin: Joey, Beef, Cub Joey: *points at his season one empires theme* i need not say more Beef: Idk, food. I don't really have a reason. I don't know too much about Beef. Cub: Someone said Cub was really laid back, i liked this idea, he's here now. C'mon, go make ur empire.

#13 Hades Cabin: Zloy Zloy: Zombie man. He writes the Hermitcraft recaps in the dark at 2am with nothing but pure spite.

#14 Iris Cabin: Katherine Katherine: SHE. HAS. COLORS. and also I couldn't put her in Demeter cabin because Shelby is already there and i am NOT excluding Nature Wives from this au

#15 Hypnos Cabin: Wels Wels: @dingdinghq said something about sleeping during S6 and i completely agree

"Don't look, I look terrible when I cry," - ScfWhip

It's all @joifees fault, go and read Won't cry for you after this, it's really, really good :D

fWhip had as many reasons to be upset with Jimmy as the other. And they all started and ended with Scott. And have been building up from their previous server. The forced and botched reset they had to do because of a massive 'bug' did not help at all. Everyone was a bit annoyed with everyone because of that. Sausage almost didn't want to talk to fWhip for a month of the sluggish process of trying to restore their old world when they could not find Pearl. Gem was really tense whenever Pearl was mentioned. But things calmed down. Or fWhip thought so.

Then the whole warden thing happened and fWhip had that massive argument with Jimmy. And maybe accidentally mentioned Scott in it. And they barely talked since.

And then that Watcher Death Game happened. Just one 'session' as Scott called it, curled up on fWhip's bed. Looking miserable. Was enough to make fWhip want to drag at least three wardens to Tumble Town. Sheriff's house to be more precise. Of course, Jimmy fell in love with someone he was BOUND to and not the guy who actually cared about him. Tried his damnest to keep him alive without any bounds. If he didn't have to comfort Scott, fWhip would jump to warned luring instantly. Maybe invite Sausage and Pix into the fun. Not telling them his reasons of course.

He thought the end of the game would make Scott feel better. But it didn't. Jimmy did not drop this 'rancher' thing, annoying fWhip even further. Luckily for him, a mysterious rift appeared near the Old Capital and needed the admin's attention.

When it was decided the rift, as they started to call it, was probably safe Oli decided to throw a festival near it. fWhip was mostly interested because of the debt the bard owed him. Some of his old dragon instincts were still deeply rooted in his brain - like love of all things shiny, especially gold.

Of course, fWhip was mistaken about the rift. Most of the other server's - bigger server's - players landed scattered across their lands. Including Jimmy's rancher...

fWhip tried his best being a good hosting admin. Did his best collecting all the Hermits as their shockingly small guests called themselves. Get them some starting stuff so they don't die until they are sure they can respawn. Scar quickly 'confirmed' they can but fWhip was still worried there might be a limit to it. Gave them a tour of the server and their nether... hub. And of course, had to watch Jimmy and Tango, his Rancher, reunite. He was just glad Scott wasn't there to see it.

He still found him in his house. All curled up and glared at him. "Why is he working here?" the king of colours asked. Undoubtedly about fWhip's newly hired redstone engineer.

"I'm just trying to keep him away from Jimmy," fWhip shrugged as he quickly removed his armour and most outer layer of clothes to join Scott in bed. He was undoubtedly upset that Tango was anywhere near Jimmy. If only fWhip was a tall, golden-haired bird-brained idiot... But unfortunately, he was a small, green, red-haired menace of a goblin genius. "I'm meeting with their admin and Grian tomorrow to try and figure out how to get them back home. They want back more than we want them gone," fWhip assured as Scott cuddled him instead of pillows and toy sheriffs piled on fWhip's bed.

Scott just hummed, burying his face in copper hair. "I should be happy he's happy, but all I feel is annoyance. It's obvious nothing I could do would make him think of me as anything but his friend. The husbands' thing was just a joke to him...," Scott complained and fWhip almost instinctively started grabbing and throwing the sheriff's away. Aiming to make them hit the furthest wall he could reach. At almost the other end of his house. It worked in making Scott chuckle as they squeaked against wood and stone. "I guess I'll just have to get used to being single... Lizzie called me that once, it still stings..." he sighed as fWhip ran out of sheriff's to chuck.

"Aren't you constantly flirting with Sausage?" fWhip voiced another of his points of annoyance.

"Considering his thing with Joel I don't think it can go anywhere. I'm not a kids person," Scott sighed, flopping to the bed and dragging fWhip along. "I think I'm out of options here..."

fWhip could feel his heart breaking into a million pieces. He wasn't even an option? "What about me?" he mumbled before he could restrain himself. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. He berated himself as Scott remained silent.

"Don't you like Jimmy too? Frankly, you probably have better chances..." Scott muttered with what fWhip let himself dare believe was a hint of hope.

"I don't... I just mess with him to get your attention," he might as well shoot his shot here. It wasn't like the situation could get any worse, was it?

"How long? How long did you..." Scott asked, voice shaking in a way that had fWhip wanting to punch himself.

"Some point in the last world... Don't even really know when exactly it started, I just one day realised I want to punch Jimmy for you and not just because..." fWhip admitted, curling up tightly on himself.

A heavy silence fell over them after that. fWhip was mentally preparing himself to be tossed against a wall and impaled with rainbow crystals. It'd be hell to explain why Scott killed him in the middle of the night but he would not take his words back anymore. He should be honest for once in his life. At least to Scott.

"I think we're both massive idiots..." Scott chuckled but fWhip had no doubts he was crying so He did his best to turn to see him. Hard task considering how tightly Scott was holding him.

He did find a chance to shift them as Scott tried to wipe away tears. It did end up with him straddling the other but fWhip was a bit preoccupied with Scott crying and helping him calm down to realise it. "Don't look, I look terrible when I cry," Scott pouted up at him. "You best make up for not telling me sooner.

If Tango had to look for fWhip the next morning and found him cuddled with Scott then so be it. Scott was more than worth of messing up fWhip's perfect schedule.

It pained my heart that he terrorized Gem's village. Just a little.

I'm SO PISSED he didn't make more afterlife vids fucker got the VAMPIRE origin and that was the ONE original I wanted to see make a reappearance (maybe he streamed it though idk)

Explosions Across Lifetimes - Chapter Seven: He's Mine - 2k words

Fwhip has a meeting with Scott. Harsh words are exchanged, alliances are broken, and the Count ends up feeling more sympathy for the elf than he ever had before.

rimlands’s Count was about to have the worst meeting of his life.

He couldn’t just kick Scott out of the Wither Rose Alliance, no, that was far too simple, far too easy for the world of emperors and diplomacy. He had to meet with Rivendell’s king himself to discuss it, decide what to do about any pre-existing trade deals, maybe sign some things and overall just do boring, meaningless paperwork and documentation.

So here he sat, at a long table in Rivendell, across from a man who was currently his least favorite person on the planet. They were alone for this meeting, all of Scott’s advisors being ordered to leave. The king wanted this to be a private meeting, and Fwhip was very glad for that. He had some things to say, ones that would definitely ruin any respect the elven people had for him, if they had any.

The mountains were unbearably cold, Rivendell’s part of them anyways. Fwhip would never know how this place was at least three time’s colder than the Crystal Cliffs, which was on the same damn mountain range. It probably had something to do with stupid elf ice powers.

The Count looked like a proper movie villain, dressed in dark clothes, much more layers than he usually wore, along with a brooding and unkind expression etched into his features. His normal coat was replaced by a more fluffier one, and he now wore gloves, ones made specifically to accommodate the claws that acted as his fingernails. He was shooting a nasty glare at the man across from him, almost a snarl, cheek resting on his hand. His wings were clenched tightly to his back, his small dragon-like tail flicking against the chair in irritation. He honestly forgot about those features most of the time. The wings couldn’t lift his weight off the ground very well, so Fwhip used elytra instead, which he preferred anyways because it was an excuse to invent rockets. His sister only shared his pointy ears though, some weird side effect of their rather mixed heritage.

Scott was as stiff as a board, watching Fwhip cautiously, It was very clear the half dragon did not want to be there. The elf cleared his throat, deciding that almost ten minutes of silence was enough. That was fine by Fwhip, the sooner this was over the better.

“So, Fwhip.” Scott began. “What, er, exactly did you want to discuss? I mean I can guess but-”

“You're no longer in the Wither Rose Alliance.” The ginger cut him off, shifting to cross his arms in front of his chest.

“Ah, I figured that.” Scott muttered, wincing a little at the harshness of the other’s tone. “So what, it’s just you, Pearl and Gem now?”

“And Sausage, technically.” Fwhip said. Sausage was kicked out, yes, but it was more for safety reasons than anything. The remaining members knew they'd let Sausage back in eventually, once this whole demon issue was resolved and he was back to his normal self. So to Fwhip, and his denial, his brother was technically still a part of the Wither Rose Alliance.

“But he was kicked out for being dangerous, wasn’t he?” As soon as those words were processed in Fwhip’s head the Count was standing from his chair in a flash, crossing the room at lightning speed until he was face to face with the other ruler.

Fwhip grabbed the collar of Scott’s shirt, pulling him upwards from his seat and not caring if his claws ripped the fabric. The elven king allowed himself to be pulled forwards with only a small stumble to keep his balance, flinching as Fwhip snarled in his face. Usually an elf with such high status wouldn’t take this disrespect, this insult their dignity, nor would anyone even think to act in such a way. Yet Scott didn’t have much dignity left to insult, to the other rulers and to his own people, so Fwhip was free to rip his stupid expensive shirt collar as much as he liked. He probably had ten of the same outfit anyways.

"And who's fault is that, Scott?" He growled, letting go of the elf and throwing him back towards the table. "We both know it's your fault Sausage is like that!"

Scott caught himself quickly and elegantly, gloved hand clutching the edge of the table for more reasons than just supporting its owner. "I'm sorry. I really am." He said, unable to meet Fwhip’s eyes.

"Then do something about it!" The Count yelled, slamming a hand against the table. He began walking back towards his seat, ready to get this stupid meeting over with. The king of Rivendell had to have the last word though, apparently, Fwhip’s ears starting to twitch in irritation at the beginning of Scott’s sentence.

"I'm not sure how!"

"What do you mean you're 'not sure how!?'" Fwip yelled, spinning around to face Scott again. His tail lashed in indignation, wings puffing out behind him unconsciously. The elf had gone through the whole secret reveal with no way to actually fix the problem!? Scott could’ve just found a solution, revealed it, and could have avoided sullying his good name. Scott probably wouldn’t have kept it a secret though, even Fwhip didn’t think so low of him as to believe he would.

"I've been trying!" The elf exclaimed, gripping the table more firmly. "I've looked everywhere, in my library, places where the scholars won’t let me go, but I can't find anything on this type of magic." His gaze, which had been matching Fwhip’s, moved down to the table in shame again.

"I was gonna ask Gem for help but I'm not sure she wants to…see me." He added after a moment, pointed ears flattening downwards.

Fwhip blinked, a little surprised by Scott’s words. The shame rolling off him was intense, filling the air around them. He knew Scott felt bad about the situation, but he wasn’t aware just how badly it had been affecting the elf. The past few days had probably been the worst on Scott out of any ruler from the meeting.

"Gem wants Sausage back more than she's mad at you." Fwhip said truthfully, his voice taking a softer tone that it previously had. Scott looked at him, absolutely dumbfounded, as he processed the Count’s words.

"….You don't hate me?" Scott’s voice was small when he spoke, like he’d actually believed that everyone hated him.

"What? No!" Fwhip said, making sure to keep his tone gentle. He didn’t prepare to have a heart to heart with Scott, but it was clearly needed, desperately. The kind of thoughts the elf had weren't good, and needed to go. Now. Fwhip would be sure to notify Katherine about it later, knowing the fairy could get through to him the best. "I'm mad at you because you betrayed us and let destruction happen. I don't want you dead." Had Scott really thought they all hated him? Fwhip couldn’t really speak for the others, but he was mad, very mad, but not that mad. They had still been friends, Fwhip still cared about the elf. He cared about all the emperors, even if some of them really grated on his nerves.

“But I hurt Jimmy, and Sausage, and all of you…” Scott moved back into his seat, white wings folding in on himself slightly. Oh buddy…

"You're not irredeemable Scott." Fwhip said, and god he didn’t think his voice could be this soft for someone like Scott . "Even Jimmy doesn't think you are."

“ Oh. ” The elf seemed a little shocked by it, and Fwhip was suddenly itching to know what his partner had said to this poor man and vice versa.

“Didn’t you talk to him?”

“Yeah but, ah,” Scott started, stumbling over his words a bit. “He was…cold, I don’t think he noticed it, not fully.”

Fwhip just nodded. He could understand why Jimmy would be cold, even unknowingly. It was for the same reasons he himself had been filled with burning anger mere minutes ago, and a million other reasons he couldn’t even begin to understand.

“What did you say to Jimmy?” Fwhip asked, noting the air of protectiveness that came to him when he spoke. He wanted to know, just a little, if more harmful things had been exchanged. Okay, maybe he wanted to know more than just a little.

“Nothing much,” Scott said, a little too casually for the half dragons liking. “It was barely a twenty minute meeting, Fwhip.” Was added on when the latter raised an eyebrow suspiciously. “We just discussed the demon problem and our…little relationship.”

“He’s mine, you know” Honestly, the growl came out before Fwhip even knew what he was saying. Though he didn’t regret it later.

Scott glared at him. “I fucking know that already, Fwhip,” There was an exasperation, an irritation that hadn’t been present before in the exchange, and part of Fwhip really wanted to egg his old ally on further; part of him really wanted to be an asshole. He really wanted to see how far he could push the elf, just to start something. He didn’t though, well aware that he’d get chewed out thoroughly for it by someone. “That’s what he discussed the other day, that he’s yours .”

“Good,” He huffed, taking his seat again. “Now let's get this over with,”

Fwhip let himself be an asshole when it came to the diplomacy part of the meeting, ruthlessly cutting off almost every trade he had with Rivendell. He kept a small wool trade open though, only out of convenience. Just because he didn’t hate Scott didn’t mean he wasn’t mad . Because the Count was still pretty pissed off, and he didn’t think his anger would be calming down anytime soon. Half dragons weren't exactly known for their pleasant temper and forgiveness.

Silence fell when the most boring part of the meeting came to an end. It was a tense sort of silence, each of them waiting for the other to make a move. Scott’s body language was stiff once more, and he watched the other man with poor hidden suspense and suspicion. Fwhip was sure disdain was rolling off him in waves, and tried to keep some bite out of his voice when breaking the quiet

“Why didn’t you just keep lying?” The Count voiced his earlier thoughts, out of nothing but pure curiosity.

“… What? ” Scott’s voice came out in a puzzled whisper.

“You could’ve found the solution and revealed it, you didn't have to admit you lied for months on end.” The half dragon explained, fixing the other with an inquiring look. He knew that's what he would’ve thought of doing, what he would’ve thought of trying.

“I did think about that but…I couldn’t do it anymore, Fwhip.” The elf began. “I couldn’t lie anymore; it was beginning to seriously hurt people. Lying wasn’t right, not anymore.” And the Count couldn’t really argue with that, or make any sort of sharp remark no matter how much he really wanted too. Scott had done the right thing in the end, now he just had to clean up the mess he’d made before it.

“I want my brother back.” Scott added in an almost inaudible whisper, so much so that Fwhip had to strain his ears to hear it.

The small bout of sympathy he felt at the meeting returned. He didn’t get what Scott was going through, but he could understand losing your sibling and what that must feel like. He’d almost lost Sausage already and it was tearing away at him every day; it was a searing pain in his chest; a hole in his heart that would keep growing until Sausage was back with them. Losing Sausage used to be unimaginable, yet even with that he couldn’t imagine not having Gem as well. Losing his sister would break Fwhip, he was sure of that. So yeah, he could kinda get what might be going on in that elf’s stupid brain.

“I hope you know that if there wasn’t a demon on the loose I would have declared war already.” Fwhip hissed, feeling his tail lash a bit. Might as well throw out a threat while he was at it.

“I know.” Rivendell’s ruler stiffened a sigh. “You always have afterwards, though”

“No,” Fwhip growled, getting in Scott’s personal space again. “This is your chance at redemption, and if you don’t take it then we’ll be having war.”

“..Good to know.” Scott huffed, watching through slitted eyes as Fwhip made his way towards the door. This meeting was over with, he’d said all he needed to say. “Goodbye, Fwhip.” Scott got the last word with his call goodbye, smooth voice turning to ice with each syllable he spoke. The elf’s answer was the room’s grand door loudly slamming shut behind his visitor and the sound of angry footsteps leaving the building.

Fwhip spread his elytra wings as soon as he was outside once more. The Count always forgot how insufferably cold the elf’s part of the mountains could be, but maybe that was a little bit in part to his dragon heritage. It didn’t matter now though, because he was leaving and hopefully not coming back; not for a while at least.

The elf had given him a lot to brood over, that's for sure.

everyone in empires au season 2!

Here we go again! For people who haven't seen this before, I've basically sorted a whole bunch of mcyt/adjacents into all the empires in s2, and provided headcanons and reasoning as to why theyre in that empire :D

As always i am open to suggestions/ideas for reasons/changes - just send me an ask!

Similarly, if you want me to add someone who's not there, you can also send me an ask!

Currently includes: Hermitcraft (specifically Season 9), Dream SMP, Bear SMP, Origins SMP, a few of the afterlife guys who arent already in empires, Traffic SMP(s), and a few other misc. mcyts

This will be edited as new information about empires names comes out/i add more people ^^

Key:

Local = person who lives nearby/in what could be considered part of an empire

Citizen = someone who is legally registered as part of an empire

Visitor = somone who is staying there temporarily/does not live in the empire

Inhabitant = lives in an empire but is not yet registered as a citizen

First person in every section is the ruler, but will have their specific title rather than one shared title (updated as the ccs tell us)

Archaeologists arent categorised in the same way as they are nomadic

Charlie Slimecicle - local - slimey boi. Literally just a sentient slime. No-one's really sure why he and jevin are sentient but shelby thinks it was probably because the last witch to be sent out here was doing illegal magic (she thinks they were bored to death by the surroundings)

Jevin - local - swamp lad, sentient, see above

Petezahhutt - inhabitant - curious about the sentient slime rumours, wanted to know if they were like him (slime hybrid) they weren't but he stuck around to help them find their feet (literally because they were having trouble keeping a humanoid shape for long periods of time)

Dream - inhabitant - heard about the magic qualities of evermoore and moved there. Shelby thinks hes very brave to be studying the fog, and dream often gets stranded far from home bc the mist is feeling unhelpful

Sanctuary:

Sausage - (ruler)

Ivory - inhabitant - bc shes running away from something

Sniff - citizen - builder

Martyn - inhabitant - sought sanctuary and then proceeded to move in and annoy cleo to no end

Cleo - citizen - has lived here her whole life but is seriously considering moving. Joe is the only thing stopping her. And the fact that snake hair isnt exactly normal y'know

Joe Hills - inhabitant - moved from Stratos but only cleo knows this. Everyone else thinks hes normal :)

Tumble Town:

Jimmy - Sheriff - do i need to say more?

Tango - citizen - owns a ranch outside town :]

Billzo - inhabitant - took refuge from one very angry joey (who thought he was part of skeletrons army) and met eryn. Decided to hang around and cause mischief

Eryn - citizen - family has a farmstead near Tumble Town. Troublemaker

Schlatt - citizen - works in the saloon

Quackity - inhabitant - works with Schlatt

Sapnap - citizen - Eryns brother. I don't quite know why my brain decided that but it has.

Etho - citizen - works on tangos ranch. Used to be an outlaw but tango offered him a job when they met in the sherriffs office. Likes the peace outside of the town.

Sneeg - inhabitant (because no-one knows hes there) - builds little tunnels throughout the terracotta hills

Goblands:

Fwhip - (ruler) - goblin time (is short)

Skeppy - citizen - ore golem, can camouflage himself well in the cave. Fwhip found him in the deep dark and made him a citizen

Bad - inhabitant - from Eversea originally

Impulse - citizen - bc dwarf

Iskall - citizen - bc he's got a cave base this season

Pearl - citizen - she do be skrunkly

Guqqie - citizen - an alien who is desperately trying to blend in with the humans. On one hand no one's gonna notice in the Goblands, but on the other, they're gonna pick up some weird habits from the gremlins

Cub - citizen - chaos Chaos CHAOS

Mumbo - inhabitant - railway expert and infrastructure guy :] which is desperately needed bc Fwhip keeps making dangerous minecart tracks to everywhere

Eversea:

Joey - Captain

xB - citizen - bc guardian hybrid (lives in the lake w the mermaids

Niki - citizen - mermaid, sometimes follows puffy around to the other empire's ports

Puffy - visitor - another captain who frequents the bay. Trader?

Neptune - visitor - on puffy's ship (yes this is the same as last time. If it's not broken don't fix it)

Scar - inhabitant - sells magic crystals at the market. Certified scammer but is allowed to get away with it because he helps design new buildings for joey sometimes.

Micheal(mcchill) - citizen - runs a radio station from the top of one of the mountains overlooking the lagoon. Very rickety and unstable path to get up there but the broadcast can be recieved from any empire

Hypno - citizen

Animalia:

Lizzie - Mayor - Definitely a person. Elected apparently?

Antfrost - citizen - cat.

Ren - citizen - dog. Advisor to lizzie. Also bc last life the beloved

Hbomb - inhabitant - cat. Runs a cafe to draw tourists in! Theres nothing weird about this empire! :3{ <rubbing his hands together maliciously. Favourite pastime is bullying fundy whenever he walks past the cafe

James Marriot - citizen - employee of the cat cafe

Fundy - citizen - fox (and yoghurt :D)

Zedaph - inhabitant - resident scientist. Originally from off the continent but was welcomed into Animalia by lizzie because 'having a scientist proves we're as advanced as the other empires!' Hasn't caught on to the fact that the majority of the kingdom's citizens are straight-up animals and thinks theyre all hybrids like him

CPK - citizen - fox. no relation to fundy but does bond over thier shared dislike for the term fox-load because they can carry more than one block thankyouverymuch lizzie

Aimsey - inhabitant - showed up and was promptly adopted as Animalia's pet human

Archaeologists:

Pixlriffs - in charge of the team, was sent bc none of the other archaeologists wanted anything to do with the rulers over there

Xisuma - a spirit that collects cool bones to live in. Pix discovered him while unearthing an old temple and he's just kind of following the troupe around and being amazed at the world (was sealed in said temple)

EX is also trapped in a similar temple but X is doing everything he can to steer pix away from finding it/unleashing his hurricane of a brother. spoiler - it doesnt work >:D

Ori - a mildly unnerving citizen of Stratos who decided to tag along

Karl - original member of the team - keeps correcting Pix's pronunciation of the long-dead languages, and knows where finds are (or should be) long before a dig starts 👀

Skizz - original member of the team, very enthusiastic

Jack Manifold - intern who's following them around for work experience. Originally from Chromia

Chromia:

Scott - (ruler) - strange strange man

Ranboo - citizen - ive tried to put him elsewhere like four times but brain keeps saying chromia. Will update once i figure out a reason (also now i want ranboo and xornoth to talk) update: have not figured the reason but. hes staying so

Xornoth - backup leader - they found scotts empire and moved in, to his initial chagrin. Still backup ruler despite this because scott didnt trust the llamas to rule in his absence. They like looking after the llamas but kinda just hang around mostly

Wilbur - citizen - colourful language, creative

Stress - citizen - head of the flower industry (that then gets turned into dye for exports)

Beef - inhabitant - in charge of designing colourful fabrics and tapestries, originally from Sanctuary where he learnt banner-making

Hannah - citizen - works in flowers industry

Lauren - citizen - one of Scotts chief advisors, have known each other since they were little kids

[Falses]:

False :) - (ruler) - Her empire is pretty small considering its the newest but its one of the most closely knit communities as they all have to work together to improve the kingdom

Phil - citizen - hardcore survival things seem to fit here. First person to move here. Originally settled a little further downriver but ended up flying to False's area for materials and conversations anyway, and so, later moved into the centre hub of her empire to help her out and save time. DadTM

Tommy - citizen - turned up one day and false was just like well if you want you can build over there, strange bedraggled kid. Tommy did and false immediately regretted it because *cobblestone tower* Phil and False eventually managed to convince tommy to let them make his house look nice but it took a good couple of months.

Bearbubb - inhabitant - False isnt quite sure if hes a person or a literal bear as hes never spoken to anyone, but he seems polite, and built his own house so she let him stay. Although she has firmly decided he doesn't get citizen status until he asks for it. (Bear is just awkward, he'll talk to people eventually)

Sam - citizen - used to wander the server with doc because not many empires were open to hostile mob hybrids living there, then offered to help with a redstone project (an improved iron farm that was being finnicky) as he was passing and decided to stay. Tommy also took a liking to him and he built a base at the bottom of the cliff

Doc - citizen - was traveling with sam, same situation, neither of them wanted to stay in Sanctuary, where they started off, because they were tired of the new inhabitants walking on eggshells around them for months before they got used to them. His base is a pit all the way down to bedrock, affectionately known as The Well (due to its tendency to flood). There are levels all the way up with different redstone machines and storage cupboard on.

Glimmer Grove:

Katherine - princess

Beau - citizen - figured out where princess katherine was sneaking off to at night and made her agree to let beau help fight or she'd tell

Punz - inhabitant - moved from Sanctuary because he heard rumours that mercenaries might be needed. (Was only staying for the pay originally but got a little too invested and asked katherine if he and purpled could stay and help rebuild the empire too. (Will end up as head of defence for princess Katherine in the future but shhh)

Purpled - inhabitant - moved from Sanctuary. Mildly annoyed that he had to leave his home in sanctuary, but at least the empire matches his colour pallette

Moonzy - citizen

Jonah - citizen - served Glimmer Grove before it fell, is at the forefront of the campaign to get it back to its former glory under princess Katherine

Megan - inhabitant

Dawn:

Gem - princess - fae of some sort

Fruitlegs - citizen - bard

Ponk - citizen - lighthouse keeper

Tubbo - citizen - bee boi

Techno - citizen - oversees the food production and makes sure everyone has enough and works out how much they can sell/export that week.

Welsknight - on Gems Council, in charge of defence against the deep dark

TFC - inhabitant - by proxy, lives in the ancient city and fixes the messes left when players visit. Sculk-grandad. Actually hes literally the opposite of Dawn, lives underground constantly. Warren of tunnels extends underneath all empires but people who try to explore them get lost. Nobody's died there yet bc TFC put a ward on the exits to draw people toward them and not the ancient city

BigB - citizen - baker, he makes bread and cookies from the farm produce

Stratos:

(Extra note here: citizen is someone who has been in the empire since it was founded about a hundred years ago when joel was exiled and/or has grown up there since. Inhabitant is someone who's come more recently from another empire)

Joel - an exiled god - adamant he is still his tall powerful self. Regarded as the leader of the empire nonetheless. People moved under his islands originally to be a part of the 'great god's empire' but a lot of them stayed even when they realised he was a wet rag/affectionate

Foolish and Jr and Finley - citizens - Foosh is an architect who helps Joel. He chose to live in the mortal realm but moved to Stratos when he heard about Joel's exile because he can sympathise with not living in the god's realm and wanted to help out. Hermes ends up playing with Jr and Finley when Joel's busy building

Eret - citizen - was one of the original settlers but somehow is still alive a hundred years later.... oh well, they knew living near a god would have its benefits

Grian - inhabitant - creator of the entity? check. vaguely eldrich horror? check. Was exiled? (very heavily encouraged to leave his hometown) after the entity ate someone by accident, and then he ended up here? Check.

Bdubs - citizen - look into those eyes and tell me he wouldnt fit right in with joels build style. He made a monolith, hed be a great addition

Callahan - citizen - maintains the temples to joel

How I think the remaining people will end it

(I'm theorizing to help me cope 😭😭😭

Season 2 didn't captivate me as much as season 1 but I'm gonna go crazy without any empires....please season 3)

Let's see

Shubble- PLEASE my theory especially with Joey's episode out,

I'm hoping, maybe Katherine?, But with some help possibly, the gnomes home is what caused her to be corrupted fully so it's possible that will tie into her un corruption, we get a resolution to Shrubs story (PLEASE T^T) and she gets the storm powers, white hair, and it ends with obviously her and Katherine saving Joey and going off, and she becomes a traveling storm witch in a caravan before being invited in a game to determine the Supreme Witch

Scott- maybe gets a resolution with the whole eye thing, maybe Owen comes back at some point, he ends as some kinda traveller

Gem- this one is hard. She could go more meta and notice the others are leaving so she resolves to one server, or go some lore route with the darkness or something

Pix- I'm hoping for something with the Copper King. He deserved an ending. If not, even if, maybe he...I don't know. Something with the ghost ness

Sausage - tying in with the evil king from his backstory, probably something with bubbles, we see Pearl (praying for return of pearl in s3 (unless she left because she didn't like the lore? I've heard that but I thought it was keeping up with two servers and a half with the life series))

Oli- we'll be lucky with an episode 4 but if he actually has a lore ending maybe he'll do something with music and bard ness I don't know

Jimmy- uh ..I don't know really. I could see Martyn killing him. Or he gets respect for once and then that's it

Lizzie- her secrets revealed or something and she lives as a housecat or something. Maybe she leaves her empire to the council and explores

I dunno

Am I missing anyone

Joel

Joel-... Was that his last? I don't think so. He might have a bit of lore, maybe something with Hermes, I think Hermes will get his own ending whether that's from Joel or Sausage

FALSE I forgot false come on

False- if I understand her storyline correctly she had her memories back but is more like. Lawful evil sort of thing. Maybe she'll make up with Hermit False somehow or try to contact her to apologize. I hope to see a resolution to that whole thing.

Is that it? Let's see, Fwhip ended, I think Katherine ended? I was in such denial that it was her last, Joey definitely ended.

hi its us thebeans you have been selected to secret us a santa !! this is going to be a bit of a tutorial letter so everyone else knows what exchange letters are like, so rest assured it will be as comprehensive as i can manage. remember that you do not need to fulfill All of the conditions the recipient lists, just at least one of them to the best of your ability. woo

big fan of grian, scar, mumbo, ren, doc, bdubs, zed, joe hills, things of this nature. i think the slapfight goes here if it goes anywhere. we have seen seasons 6/7/8/9 and a little of season 5 so if you go before that we will probably be Confused but Willing To Roll With It. idk theres the wonderful world of hermits and crafting

2. lifes

you are probably well aware the extent to which we like the life series. things you could cover include property police kiss on the mouth secret life (or property police cold patrol new life which isn't getting its own entire bullet but it's a thing), treebark slash fairydog slash renb, toxic yaoi majorwood, the bad boys, last life grumbo, idk get silly with it !! slash p or slash r it is all good <- applies to all listed items in this letter not just here

3. empires

empires:). for season 1 there's flower husbands; you could do kathgempearl or some duo permutation; arenaduo; the whole wra tbh; smallidarizzie trio; scott and xornoth content (you could write the one billionth postcanon xornoth finds out what happened fic if you wanted). for season 2 HEAVENTRIO OBVIOUSLY; or arenaduo again or hallelujahduo or roundhousekickduo which i still need to come up with a better name for; best buds jim and joel; kathgem; pixlriffs; the crossover; fairytale trio i also like; maybe some olieddie as a treat if you're so inclined

4. eswap

free space basically. scottpearl !!!!!!! or arenaduo or kathgempearl again (or duo permutation) or pearl and pix bonding maybe idk what the state of eswap is gonna be pixwise by the end of november. or if some other part of eswap compels you then go for it. you might wanna write the watcher grian crossover idea that jay2 had that one time. up to u :D

5. pirates/rats

yeah babyyyyyy this is the writing to pander to littlesound zone. i love datastream martyn interacting with this-is-just-their-world other characters such as oli or sausage or olive or shelby or owen or scar or other people that don't start with the letters o and s. kisstrels obviously (including shep and shub); you could do property police with martyn and safety rat; farmer rat scott, baker rat lizzie, he had a pretty sweet bond with will. maybe mratyn watching as oli tries and fails to seduce the butler with cringefail affection in his eyes. maybe mratyn trying and failing to seduce one of the brown wild dogs at the edge of the grounds while scott looks on in disappointment. p!bek is canonically aroace so if you write pirate bekel you'd probably get Comments about it but like if you don't fear the fandom then fuck it. SPEAKING OF:

6. witchcraft

YURI OPPORTUNITY AGAIN BUT FOR BEK INSTEAD! beky's finally figured out her witchcraft bek au which is that el is a not-so-famous witchtuber and bek is one of her few very dedicated commenters so when el randomly stumbles across the supreme witch crown where scott dropped it then she ends up asking bek what to do and they bond from there, so you may wanna do something with that.

7. dsmp

if you are dsmp inclined and you want to go classic style then you cannot go wrong with a little bit of crimboy/clingy. bee/bench and michael could also be fun; i like niki, big q, JACK MANIFOLD, fundy, eret, hbomb, foolish, and i miss honq every day babyyyy <- not every day but often. if you'd like to add to the hit canon ao3 tag tommyinnit crashes own funeral (dream smp) then that would be very welcomed too, i canonised that shit with my bare hands

8. au ideas

well i said all of that for canon concepts but what if you want to write/draw an alternate universe? goooo fuckin crazy with it my friend. some concepts i enjoy reading are: royalty; urban/low fantasy; newly discovered/obtained superpowers; domestic roommates setting; famous & doesnt give a shit about that fame; creative type & muse; guardian angel & human. idk have fun!

9. not mcyt

i'm adding this section because i know some people will want to do this but mine will be quite short because i . do not watch anything else. uhhhh the magnus archives. moon knight 2022. i like quite a lot of musical theatre but mostly the modern post hamilton shit and i have not seen hadestown. thubs up

Statement Begins

I .. We technically. I don’t think we were supposed to win this time. When it hits the endgame, my eyes only see red and bloodlust. I get consumed by the feeling of the hunt. I get reckless and end of getting stabbed in the front, usually. But winning this time … something didn’t feel right about it.

I should give context though. My friend puts on this game every year. Really impressive the work that goes into it. We nicknamed it Operation: Life after like Session 5 the first time around and it just kind of stuck.

Archivist Note: OH. I know Joel now. Yeah, that’s totally not his real name

I think you were there, fancy Mario man watching me behind the glass as I write this down

The second time at least, where Life was nothing more than a commodity traded around and stolen just as easily from a sword in your back. I think you killed me when I tried to kill you. Wish I succeeded; would have my life a lot easier that day.

Archivist Note: Joel, please do not kill my assistant. It’s really annoying to have to find replacements

Anyways, Operation: Life has some base rules for the most part - You have lives and your goal is to survive but if you end up on the last life, The Red Life, you can start killing. That’s my favorite part honestly. Just being able to stab with no restriction against people. So cathartic honestly. (Archivist Note: Only for you, Joel. Some of us are sick to our stomach at the thought of killing). But anyways, this time around the theme of the game was Partners. 3 lives but you and someone else’s lives are linked. I was linked to Etho.

Everything was fine until the last session. That’s when it felt … glitchy. There were just 8 of us left and me and Etho were coming through the portal. I could feel fire against my arms, burning me as a walk through. I could almost hear myself screaming Etho’s name to not come through the portal. And then … it was all gone. I was walking through the portal on solid grass and soil. Our allies were there, running from our enemies. The two of us coming through even out the fight. I remember our allies calling out to warn us of the danger, and then nothing else. Usually someone has to explain to me what happens when the Red consumes me.

We won. Somehow. The Boat Boys were the last ones standing, triumphantly over the bodies of Scott and Pearl I might add. I think I did most of the work knowing Etho, but that’s besides the point. But something about it felt … wrong. I still felt that burning when I came out of the Portal. I could see the Game Over screen when I closed my eyes. But Etho was smiling at me, I think. It’s hard to tell under the mask. But he was smiling and I felt … safer. Like he had the whole situation under control somehow. He was always somewhat like that, this sense of silent authority even though 90% of the time he had no idea what he was doing. Survivor mentality, I guess. But now that authority was commanding, radiating, suffocating. It was like that sense of authority before was his whole personality now.

Etho stepped over Impulse’s body as he made his way to me. I saw his hands were black and pulsing as he cupped my face, but I didn’t shy away from it. I knew then, and I still feel it now, that nothing Etho would do would hurt me. The grass around us started to turn to sculk even though there was no catalysts or shriekers or sensors around. Somehow it didn’t matter; the vines of dark blue still reached out and dug itself around us.

“I wasn’t going to let the fire take us.” Etho told me. “I’ve got this. I’ve got us.” I felt myself lean into him; the fatigue that always came after being Red finally beginning to set in.

“What happens now?” I asked. Etho tilted my chin so my eyes met his. His eyes were completely consumed by the dark inkiness like the ground below, though there were none of those sparkle things to counter it. It was just Void. And I stared into it, I felt myself falling. Further and further with nothing but darkness around me. And I embraced it. It felt nice despite the nothingness around me. It felt like … like Etho.

And then it was the real game over. I lifted up my VR stuff and found everyone talking, celebrating Scott and Pearl on their win. I looked at Etho as he pulled his headset off, and he put his finger to his mask as if to say that ending, our ending, wasn’t the one everyone else felt. I guess that’s what he meant when he said the fire wasn’t going to consume us. That feeling was I guess us dying for everyone else.

But we totally won so suck on that Scott. God, why’d he have to win twice I totally should have killed him again. But I just … every time I close my eyes I’m still falling in that Void and that comforting sense that comes with it. Lizzie says I should tell you guys about it. I don’t know why. Part of me doesn’t want it to stop; to just be consumed by it entirely. But my wife wants me to live or something. So I’m here. And that’s my statement or whatever you guys called it. Can I go now?

Final Archivist Comments: So I definitely remember this game. For context for future members of the Archive, Joel and Etho died to Lava from a trapped nether portal. They did not win. I do think this skulky-voidness from Etho is weird but not like out of the ordinary for like the other statements. Though it is annoying that Joel doesn’t use his real name like really man? Anyways I’ll probably have like Impulse look into that since they were the closest out of those games. Not much I can really do about dreams though. We’ll figure it out though. I hope. I don’t want to fall into the Void.

Pearl could still be a god of many things

I'll be honest, I was in immediate denial the moment Joel brought up the whole farming god thing but the more he kept going it did gave me some ideas. Admittedly. I was very against it because I was too attached to the fanbase's interpretation of Pearl, which can be a problem as far as fandoms are concerned. So of course, this is my take on the most recent lore, which are a bunch of theories and headcanons thrown into the mix.

The Emperors from s1 were once revered as Gods but have now been forgotten

Pretty much the most common interpretation based from Joel's video and comment section. This does bring up some questions however. Like, Why is s1 Joel different from the current one? What's with the whole past life thing? What about Oli? If they all died out then how do you explain Pearl in Oli's video? What the hell was Afterlife smp?

Well, from what I could interpret from this is that after godhood, many of them decided to relive as mortals in the now recovered Empires world. However, before that some of them had to relive different lives over at Afterlife. (Which already puts a hole in this theory with how Pix wasn't in it)

Afterlife, in a sense, was a form of purgatory for them but not a purgatory entirely. It was just a regular domain that had its own weird rules and stipulations. Not every member was there for the same reasons the emperors were.

It was however, still partly ruled by Pearl. (pertaining to Oli's lore and Sausage's afterlife finale) So, why wasn't Pearl with them? It could be that one of them had to be left behind. It could also be that she created the world herself for them to get them used to mortal living. (there is no basis for the last one I just think its neat) Whatever the case, she was referred as a god in two people's lore.

I don't really think that s1 Joel is the same as s2 Joel for obvious reasons, but then that puts the question of where the hell is s1 Joel? Did he went to Afterlife? Is he out there? was he editor!Joel all this time? High likely s2 god!Joel isn't too directly related to the deceased gods but seem to be familiar with them and had some relations with them.

HOWEVER, I would now like to bring up my next issue regarding the recent lore.

Pearl isn't dead, Joel just has bad memory

Not to put Joel as an unreliable narrator but it does put some question to the validity of his claims after he said that he forgot a lot of things in his past. It tends to become my problem sometimes whenever it's used in writing and it makes me very prone to cherry picking facts since we wouldn't directly know what's real and what isn't.

Him saying that the other gods are dead don't really go against my previous statements though. But Pearl being "dead" dead is something slightly difficult for me to believe. Or how he categorize her as just a farming god since based from Pix's statue she had a different role.

It's not a crazy idea to give her different roles since many mythologies and pantheons have that. Take the god Apollo from Hellenism for example, he's the god of music, but also the god of prophecy, healing, and the sun. Saint Pearl here, could be the god of the harvest, sunflowers, the sun, the afterlife, death, battle, the reaper of souls, the ferry woman of death or whatever you'd interpret it.

I wouldn't consider Pearl as actually dead but she's probably forgotten, but not forgotten entirely. As Sausage has referenced, they did had a sunflower goddess back in his previous kingdom. Which he later learned her actual name. As for Oli, it could be debated on how long he's been in the minecraft credits limbo but it wouldn't really tell us much on what happened to Pearl after he left heaven.

So in the end, even with Joel's recent lore it doesn't really tell us that she actually died. She might have been forgotten by other civilizations but that doesn't mean death to a god. And even then, she wasn't entirely forgotten. She is now known in other names and might be venerated differently. Joel has some remembering to do it seems. Kinda like Sausage.

So yeah.

Extra:

On a writing perspective though, I kinda hope there would still be a lot of room for mystery and vagueness so it can keep the world interesting. And often when something was given TOO MUCH answers it tends to ruin the lore. Sometimes being given less of an answer is better. There is that balance of being given too little or too much.

On a another note it is weird and funny on how so much lore is being put on Pearl while she's not actively part of this season.

Hello! Just wanted to say how much I adore your writing :D

Caesar house, omg. The suspense and the kinda horror element are *chefs kiss* I remember mentally screaming about the red drinks haha, the whole thing has a very uncanny vibe @-@

After reading caesar house I went through most of wither (originally found you on ao3, but went to tumblr and found the rest of the au). The gem twist really got me, I honestly wasn’t expecting for her to turn on Scott and pearl but in hindsight she’d never do her brothers like that. You conveyed the co-dependency so well! And fwhip being left behind??? The angst hnnnnnggg. I think you ended it off pretty well, needing to have an end point to make creative brain happy is such a mood.

Lastly amnesiac sausage (I’ll shut up after this dw lol). The slow progression of recovery was nice, I like how the servants were part of it (when he glanced at the servants and they smiled encouragingly at him??? Omg, you could see the genuine care they had for him). And sir Carlos resigning too, him lining up with the other knights at the end?? Loved that, the conflict he had, truly loyal to sausage but acknowledging that his decision negatively impacted him. Sausages reaction to it as well, it was all just so human. Ig that’s something I like about your writing, the characterization and depth is great

Can I just say, this made my day! I'm subconsciously aware that people read my stuff and like it, but it is always nice to receive these kinds of messages and you definitely put a smile on my face.

I love the way Caesar House is turning out! It's gonna be fun, let me tell you that much, there's so much going on in the background/behind-the-scenes nobody knows anything about yet and I can't wait for all these parts to be revealed. I didn't think I'd be able to write mystery and I'm not sure I'll be certain until it's finished, but it'll be great.

The Wither AU is one of my favorite projects of all time (from my 12 years of writing experience). I intended to put it all on AO3 and those plans haven't changed, but I got sidetracked by life being a bitch and busier than expected. I do still want to do this, I'm planning to do this, but I want to finish off a couple of other things first. Even then, it'll probably be updated whenever I feel like it rather than by a schedule.

Tabula Rasa was fun while it lasted, it's been fun to mess around with a writing style for this story. It was weird to write in present tense, but I think I managed that pretty well.

You know, it may not look like it, but my biggest worries when writing are a) clothing descriptions (can't do it for the life of me) and b) characterization. I worry way more often than necessary about whether a particular character seems true to form, even if the story calls for a bit of a deviation. Being neurodivergent and wanting to nail characterization to a perfectionistic degree is not the best combination, but it appears I shouldn't worry about that.

And look at that, I hijacked your ask complimenting me to talk/gush about my own works. Thanks for giving me that opportunity and thanks once again for this wonderful ask! I'm still grinning.

So I know I said I’d write something but school (derogatory) killed my motivation so instead take how I think the afterlifers got corrupted in the Corrupted Paradise au (the ones I know anyway)

Gem is presented with an offer of power. Xornoth tells her that if she accepts their deal she’ll be able to protect her village better than ever before, and no one will call her paranoid again. She’s not fully convinced until they say she’ll be more powerful than the illager that keeps trying to enter her village.

And so, Gem falls to the corruption.

Fwhip was laughably easy in comparison. He already had power in spades, but all it took was two little sentences.

“I have already convinced the villager. Join me, and you can be siblings again.”

And so, Fwhip falls to the corruption.

Lizzie does not understand a word Xornoth says. Her common’s already pretty shakey and the distortion doesn’t help. They start to think it may be a challenge to corrupt her… until she just starts to straight up eat it.

And so, Lizzie falls to the corruption.

Joel can actually see Xornoth this time, which makes things easier. They simply promise him a chance to find living relatives. He has Sausage as an adoptive dad, but the thought of others is tempting. Xornoth was made of the fire and obsidian, just as he is, and has connections. They just need a bit of help before they have the time to search.

And so, Joel falls to the corruption.

Joey was harder than expected. They planned to walk in, flirt a bit, and then leave again with a new minion, but it didn’t work at all! Eventually they learn about the incident with Mika, Shrub, and the third person I may or may not have forgotten, and say that no one will leave him behind again.

And so, Joey falls to the corruption.

The first time Xornoth tried to approach Shrub she hissed at them and threw stuff until they left again. Which, if you swapped this hissing for growling, wouldn’t have been too far off from E!Shrub. They soon realised the problem, which is that with the whole “fire and lava demon” thing they’re really bright. Their existence was antithetical to hers, but in the end it’s what they use. They were just like her once, they claim. Flinching from light and made of shadows. Until they gained this power, allowing them to wield it so no light would hurt them again. She’s skeptical, but willing to give it a try.

And so, Shubble falls to the corruption.

Lauren is tired. Xornoth offers to babysit her chicken kids every once in a while.

And so, Lauren falls to the corruption. And also sleep.

Before Xornoth can even open their mouth Scott is attached to them because of all the light they radiate. They’re slightly put out because they wanted to fight at least some version of their brother where they were guaranteed a win, but oh well.

And so, Scott falls to the corruption.

Sausage fights back, refusing to join Xornoth. He’s an angel, he will never work for a demon. They try to use Joel to get to him, and when that doesn’t work they try forcibly corrupting him.

None of it works. It makes sense, in a way. Pearl was always the one who could fight off Xornoth the best, not losing until they cheated, so obviously her angel would do the same. Doesn’t make it any less annoying.

Luckily a resistance to corruption does not mean a resistance to blunt force trauma.

And so, Sausage falls to unconscious. But his mind is free.

So yeah that’s everyone I watch or have some idea of! Characterisation may not be consistent but oh well lol

A/N: hello i return!! just one more chapter after this, it's so wild to think that this fic is almost over!

Warnings: kissing, self-worth issues, talk of near death situations and past injury

Kissing Scott felt like Jimmy was cradling sunlight in his hands. Something that should have been impossible, and yet all the same it was happening. And now that Scott had Jimmy, he seemed determined not to let him go. Not that Jimmy was exactly complaining about Scott’s new mission to kiss him breathless- but considering not too long ago Scott was trying to make him breathless in an entirely different sense, and that the others didn’t even know what all went down… they should probably stop. So with great regret, Jimmy tried to pull away from Scott- key word there being tried.

“Scott, c’mon, let go of me,” Jimmy chuckled, dodging yet another kiss. Scott settled for pressing his lips to Jimmy’s cheek before tucking his head under Jimmy’s chin. His wings shifted to curl around the both of them, and as nice as it felt, they really needed to get up from the floor so that Jimmy could let his friends know what happened.

“Mm… no,” Scott hummed with a giggle.

“We should probably tell the others what happened- they all think you’re still fighting off the corruption, or are possessed,” Jimmy pointed out.

“I don’t see why we can’t just tell them later,” Scott pouted. Jimmy let out a fond, incredulous sigh.

“You also haven’t properly eaten anything in a few days, you’ve been living off of splash health potions for the most part,” Jimmy said sternly.

“Well, I know something I’m hungry for,” Scott teased, and Jimmy didn’t even need to see his face to know that he was smirking. Jimmy sighed again.

“And I thought you were incorrigible when we hated each other,” he commented with a chuckle. Scott pulled away enough to look at Jimmy with a mischievous glint in his eyes.

“You’re stuck with me now, better get used to it, sweetheart,” he murmured. Jimmy could feel his face warm up considerably at the petname, and Scott grinned at the sight. Well, two could play that game.

“You say that like it’s a bad thing, sunshine,” Jimmy replied with a grin. Scott’s eyes went wide, and he flushed pink all the way to the tips of his ears.

“Oh you can flirt back now. Right,” Scott managed to get out, voice coming out a bit strained. Jimmy just grinned wider.

“So what do you say, sunshine? How about we let everyone know that neither of us are dead and that you’re also not possessed?” Jimmy offered. Scott made a flustered sound at being called “sunshine” again, but collected himself enough to let out a sigh of defeat.

“Fine,” he grumbled, before getting up off of Jimmy. Jimmy stood up as well- just in time to catch Scott as he suddenly tilted to one side. Scott was leaning against Jimmy heavily, and Jimmy looped an arm around his waist as he tried to keep Scott upright.

“Scott?!” Jimmy gasped, unable to keep the panic from his tone.

“M’okay- think that lack of actual food thing is catching up to me. Just stood up too fast and got dizzy, that’s all,” Scott reassured him, standing up a bit more but still holding on to Jimmy, just to be sure.

“Then we’d really better tell the others so that we can work on getting your strength back,” Jimmy said with a relieved smile. He led Scott over to the lever for the secret door, and the moment he flicked it, a group of people came tumbling in. Nearly all of them fell to the floor in a heap, except for Pearl and Pixl, who sheepishly smiled at Jimmy and Scott. Gem was the first to pick herself up from the floor, dusting off her robes and letting out a nervous laugh.

“We uh. We might have been listening for a little bit there! We just didn’t want to interrupt,” Gem explained sheepishly. The others picked themselves off from the floor as she spoke, and Shelby was the last to get up from the floor, holding a black shulker box to her chest.

“Where’d the corruption go, I’ve got a box for it!” Shelby chirped, peering around Jimmy and Scott. The two of them blinked in surprise, and Scott looked to his arm. The corruption was long gone, all that was left was a scar from the initial cut. Jimmy looked around the room, and soon spotted what was left of the corruption lying on the floor near where he and Scott had fought. It looked like a mass of red vines that twitched every so often, and Jimmy’s stomach turned with nausea at the sight. Scott seemed to notice Jimmy’s sudden distress, and followed his gaze, only for Scott himself to turn several shades paler than he already was as he clung to Jimmy a bit tighter. Shelby noticed where the two of them were looking, and quickly scrambled over to carefully gather up the corruption and put it in the shulker box.

“Hey, easy, just look at me- you’re okay,” Jimmy soothed, reaching out to gently turn Scott’s head towards him. Scott’s look seemed far away even as he was looking into Jimmy’s eyes, and he squeezed his eyes shut for a moment before blinking them open with a shaky sigh, gaze looking much more focused than before as he leaned his forehead against Jimmy’s.

“I think it’s probably good I’ve only been living off of health potions, pretty sure I would have just lost whatever I would have eaten right then,” Scott got out with a short laugh.

“So… how did you get the corruption out anyway?” Pixl asked after pointedly clearing his throat. Jimmy and Scott jumped slightly, pulling away from each other (but not far enough for Scott to be without standing support) with a pair of sheepish smiles.

“Well I uh. We were fighting, and I might’ve kissed Scott to throw him off, but it ended up being the push to snap him out of it and fight against the corruption,” Jimmy explained with a blush. Scott looked at Jimmy with a perplexed expression.

“Jimmy… I didn’t do anything against the corruption. It- before I woke up with you uh… holding me, the last thing I remembered was losing to another version of myself in some sort of red dreamscape. Your kiss saved me, not anything I did,” Scott explained. A series of adoring coos and gasps sounded from the group, and Jimmy felt his face burn.

“True love was the key this whole time?” Shelby pondered, looking down at the shulker box she held with the now contained corruption.

“Well- I- surely it’s gotta be more than that,” Jimmy managed to get out, feeling incredibly flustered.

“So a mix of love and wills, then. It sounded like Scott maybe could have beaten it on his own, he just needed the extra help!” Shelby replied with a shrug. Scott frowned.

“I don’t know, honestly. The other me- it- he?- was mostly toying with me, I think. Said something about how ‘he’ would be pleased to know that I was specifically under the corruption’s control,” Scott explained shakily.

“He?” Gem asked, brows furrowed in concern.

“The other me referred to some other person that he was sent by, maybe? Then when I asked about who the ‘he’ was, the other me said something about how I didn’t ‘remember’ and how that made me easy to control,” Scott continued.

“The corruption is sentient?!” Shelby gasped, holding the shulker box away from herself.

“And apparently sent by someone else? And seemed to already know you somehow?” Gem pondered. Scott shrugged helplessly.

“I don’t know. All I know is that it’s gone now, and I’m extremely glad for that,” Scott said, voice tight with nerves as the barrage of questions began to overwhelm him.

“And we’re glad you’re okay too!” Katherine piped up, stepping forward with a smile, clearly picking up on Scott’s discomfort. Scott blinked in surprise at her words.

“You.. are?” he asked in disbelief. Katherine just looked as surprised, if not more, than Scott did. The others had a mixture of concern and confusion on their faces as well, and Scott shifted uncomfortably at the attention.

“Why would I not be?” Katherine asked. Scott swallowed nervously.

“I- I knew about Fwhip’s plan for the ball, and didn’t say anything. Your- your castle was destroyed because I was too afraid to do anything about it,” he replied, voice barely above a whisper, as if he was afraid speaking any louder would awaken the wrath of those around him. An almost wounded expression came across Katherine’s face.

“Scott, even if I was still mad at you when we found you lying in front of Gem’s home, I wouldn’t have wanted you to die. Besides, between Fwhip’s gloating monologue and what we knew from what Pearl and Gem had told us, we know that you weren’t exactly a willing participant in Fwhip’s plan,” Katherine said softly, taking a slow step closer to Scott. His wings shifted anxiously, and Jimmy gently squeezed Scott’s arm to comfort him.

“I- you’re not mad?” he asked, voice still hushed and timid. Katherine smiled gently.

“No, I’m not. If castles can be rebuilt, so can friendships,” Katherine replied softly, holding out her arms. Scott barely hesitated at the invitation, letting go of Jimmy to instead hug Katherine tightly. Any remaining tension Scott held seemed to melt away as Katherine hugged him back. He hesitantly drew back after a few moments, a contemplative expression on his face.

“Is something wrong?” Jimmy asked. He reached out towards him, intending to put a comforting hand on his shoulder- but was pleasantly surprised by Scott taking his hand and tugging him closer so that they could stand side-by-side, fingers intertwined. Jimmy felt his face flush, and Scott smirked at him for a brief moment before schooling his expression into something more serious.

“So now that the uh- the corruption is dealt with. For now. Hopefully. Anyway what I’m trying to say is- what do we do about Fwhip and Sausage?” Scott asked. The others exchanged glances, seemingly having an entire conversation without words that Jimmy was hopelessly unable to decipher. Scott didn’t look like he knew what was going on either, and seemed a little apprehensive at that fact.

“We’ll protect you,” Katherine said firmly. The rest of the group nodded in agreement. Jimmy found himself nodding too- and to his shock, Scott seemed a little flustered.

“I- that’s a nice gesture, but not really what I meant- I was talking about them in a more general sense, not just if they try to come after me specifically. Again,” Scott explained with a sheepish laugh.

“Well I can definitely handle whatever they throw at us. Fwhip ran like a coward after I chased him away a few days ago,” Pearl said with a confident grin.

“Sausage won’t be an issue either, not with my magic to defend us!” Gem added.

“If I’m not gonna take out my rage on Scott for playing with Jimmy’s heart, then I guess I can settle for Fwhip or Sausage,” Lizzie said with a shrug. Scott paled slightly, and Jimmy frowned at Lizzie with a disapproving glare.

“Lizzie, you don’t need to be mad at him anymore, we made up!” Jimmy protested, raising their joined hands as proof.

“Think a little more than that happened,” Pixl commented dryly. Joel let out a laugh that he was quick to stifle, pushing at Pixl with one hand while covering his mouth with the other. Lizzie rolled her eyes at the two of them before looking at Jimmy again.

“Well I’m not mad because of that, but how do I know he’s good enough for you?” Lizzie said, glaring at Scott in a way that Jimmy could tell was playful, but Scott didn’t seem to realize that, wings stiffening before relaxing as he took a deep breath.

“I know I have a lot to make up for. And I know it’s not gonna be as easy as me nearly dying on you all to gain your trust again. But I’m willing to make an effort-” Scott paused, looking at Jimmy the gentlest he ever had, the ice in his eyes melting for Jimmy and for Jimmy alone- “because he’s worth it.”

“Scott…” Jimmy trailed off, unsure of what to say after all of that. Scott just smiled at him and squeezed his hand. Lizzie just blinked at them, dumbfounded for a moment.

“I was mostly just messing with you, but… I’m glad to know that you’re serious about him,” Lizzie said with a smile. Scott let out a breath of relief, smiling back before his expression settled into something more resolute.

“Speaking of serious, we should probably discuss more concrete defense plans in case of any other sort of attack from Fwhip and Sausage,” Scott said. Various sounds and mutters of agreement filled the room, and they began discussing defensive strategies- things like making moats, building walls, and sharpening their fighting skills. Jimmy didn’t contribute much to the conversation, not that he exactly had much to offer- but even if he did, he was too busy listening to Scott with rapt attention, a smitten expression on his face all the while.

Empires season 2 theory hours after season 1 ended?? It's more likely then you think

Major season 1 finale spoilers!

I really apologize for not having a "read more" thing going on but i'm on my phone and i cannot for the life of me figure it out

So, what happens to the rulers in season 2? Will any stay? Idk that's why this is a theory. And also just some general thoughts on the endings here and there. This is for fun and based on almost 0 evidence, i can be 100% wrong on all of this lol

I do want to add a small warning that i'm assuming all 12 creators are in season 2. This could very well be wrong and probably is! Especially since some didn't state "empires will return" in their videos. I doubt all of them will stay around, it's normal for people to leave and join smp's.

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Jimmy comes into season 2 as the same character from season 1. He ran away from his home, it would be interesting to see him maybe try and prove himself since he tried to take a shortcut in being a ruler and paid the price for it.

-Lizzie

I don't know if Lizzie will be on season 2, her ending did feel more like a definite goodbye. I think Lizzie would be a new character, maybe a witch or something like that? Or they'll keep up the seablings dynamic and she lost her memories so Jimmy has to help. Side note: did anyone else watch lizzie's pov first?? Lizzie doesn't mention season 2 in her vid so i fully thought empires was over, period lol.

-Scott

Whole new character? Honestly it would be cool if Rivendell!Scott was like a seperate character from the Scott in season 1, since it seems his story is the one which is the most "yeah this is the end". Unless we get some necromancy up in here. Additional thing about his end: I cannot see it as sweet- a lot of people call it (and 3rd life) the happy ending but I always end up feeling bad because the ending is c!Scott's imagination at the end of the day, none of it is real. It's bittersweet

-Gem

I think it's clear wizard!Gem is a done deal, no more of that. Her end is literally an epilogue. Gonna be honest, I don't think she'll return. Since she has quite a few series on the side, including hc season 9 (i'm guessing she's in season 9 since season 8 was mostly just the filler season). It would be cool to see her as a new character tho!

Might return as her season 1 self, since her ending was simulair with Jimmy's. Just walking into the sunset. Again, probably wrong.

-Joel

I am expecting Joel to just be a new character entirely but it would also be very funny to see Joel, previous king of Mezelea, now in the wilderness forced to survive. The pure chaos of Mezelea!Joel stsrting from scratch, the man who had a giant ass palace

-Fwip

Honestly idk, I can see Fwip being his season 1 self. And I would probably go with that but with Gem ending wizard!Gem's story, I think that debunks that whole idea. They did leave together.

-Shubble

If anyone is likely to return as their season 1 characters, it's Shrub. It feels like Shrub's quest is finally beginning for her, she finally has a way to find home. I would honestly love for season 2 to be about her making a home in the nether, looking for her kingdom. Her family. Shrub deserves a happy ending

Now I will keep out Sausage, Joey, Pixl and Pearl because I just realised it is really late for me, and I honestly haven't watched their episodes yet. I don't want to force myself to watch their stuff and came back at this hour, so I'll make a follow up post tommorow 👌

Jimmy was really off during the latest episode.

Let me explain

So, let’s start with when they got in the End. because I’m way too lazy to analyze any more than that

After they realize they’re in the End and Jimmy realizes his cod head isn’t the real one, his immediate reaction is “well we’re gonna have to kill the dragon anyway” and then “it doesn’t matter where [the Codfather head] is for now, we need to just get out of here”.

Note that he says he doesn’t care where the head is at the moment, and they just need to kill the dragon. He doesn’t care where the sole object of his reasoning to be there, that he’s waged a whole war for, is at the moment.

I guess it’s understandable because they’re literally fighting the main boss of Minecraft, with a team that’s not the greatest at fighting, but still. It’s enough to kinda stick for a second.

Also let me note that he’s smiling and laughing during this bit, they’ve just been thrown into the End and have to fight a boss but he’s just like eh whatever. Jimmy is really good at being in character and roleplaying, so I feel like it’s worthy to note down the facecam expressions.

Then we kinda see normal Jimmy. He gets mad at Fwhip and Sausage obviously. His facial expression is angry and for a moment he’s completely focused on getting his head from Fwhip.

When he doesn’t, he threatens to kill the dragon. Which, from his perspective, shouldn’t be a big deal? Fwhip kinda said “don’t kill it” but was cut off by Jimmy, so it doesn’t really seem like there should be this aggressive initiative to kill the dragon in the way that Jimmy is portraying it.

And then immediately everyone is like “don’t kill it” which still doesn’t settle Jimmy, even when people like Pearl and Gem which he’s on fairly neutral grounds with says it.

This could just be impulsive Jimmy because we all know how he gets when he wants something, but let me just jot it down for the sake of little things adding up.

He said “if you give it back I won’t kill the dragon” but then when Fwhip does he questions why Fwhip wants the dragon dead. When Fwhip responds he says one of the most suspicious lines yet.

”Fwhip, I think whether you like it or not, this dragon is dying”. Yeah it could be a little logical because there are people killing it already, but it just. Seemed off.

Additional note, but Jimmy looked so confused when Fwhip was giving Lizzie end crystals.

I’m not gonna go into why Jimmy abandoning his allies feels out of character because this would get way too long and I feel like we all know it.

Then we go into a lot of Jimmy continuing the wanting dragon dead skip ahead skip ahead.

Once the dragon’s dead for a split second, Jimmy looks horrifed. Like. What did they just do. But immediately it’s covered over with a smile. He says he “doesn’t know how to feel” but from that split second of horror it seems like we do know how he really feels, but it’s instantly masked. He just turns happy go lucky and says “I got my head back!”

Cutscreen to everyone yelling about the dragon, Jimmy is completely unphased. He’s happily confused and just got his head back. He doesn’t even really react when he hears the demon’s been unleashed, and Sausage and Joey confirm it. He even notes he’s just happy to have it. Absolutely no concern for the bombshell drop of the demon, of which he’s the number one target of.

None of the other Cod Alliance would care, Joel and Pix straight up aren’t afraid and Xornoth can’t reach Lizzie, but Jimmy? He’s absolutely terrified of Xornoth. It would seem logical there would be at least some reaction.

To be fair, he says “what?” once when Joey says Xornoth’s free, but it’s kinda nonchalant and could probably be to Joey referring to Xornoth as his husband.

When Jimmy sees Xornoth, he immediately breaks out into a smile, which is about the biggest and most out of character one can get with Jimmy Solidarity. I know I’m relying a lot on facecam, but again his role playing is really good especially with Xornoth I feel like this was intentional.

He’s just smiling at the demon and repeatedly looking at them.

And finally, when everyone’s noping out and leaving and he says “Sausage what did you do?” it’s still not. mad? We’ve seen mad Jimmy just minutes before at Fwhip. He wasn’t like that at Sausage. And when Jimmy gets mad he’s comedical lengths of mad. He does that lip biting chin jutted obviously angry thing. But with this he just doesn’t. Which is extremely off considering again, his relations with the demon.

TL;DR, Jimmy is giving off major odd vibes after going to the End and while it could have logical explanations I just can’t seem to let it go.

Then again I could just be soaking up unrelated bits in hopes of corrupted jimmy but who knows.

And this is all from a very biased person so please take this with a grain of salt I’m not Directly saying “this is all super OOC and corrupted Jimmy must be the answer!!” I just think the vibes are a bit strange in this episode.
