Their last message you read before you died (draken, mikey, izana, kazutora)
-You heard your phone buzz and light up. You glanced at your side and saw his message, but you didn't have the mind to read/process what it says right now. You were lying on the ground with your stomach bleeding heavily as it was ripped open. As people surrounded you. The truck that seemed to have hit you earlier was crushed against the pole.
-You were supposed to buy him dorayaki safely, but one of Toman's enemies spotted you and decided to ambush you. You were supposed to give him his treat as a reward for being the greatest leader of all, but you can't because you are lying on the ground with multiple stab wounds.
-You were snatched away before you could respond, taken by vengeful men seeking retribution against Tenjiku. They aimed to prove their strength by harming the leader's beloved, igniting a dangerous battle. They beat you to a pulp and recorded them all before sending it to izana. And after that they stabbed you and left your rotting body off the warehouse.
-You stared at his message sadly before being sent to the ER. You were diagnosed with severe heart disease and needed a massive operation to fix it. There was a ten percent chance of survival, but unfortunately, you didn't make it.

Itachi when he first retires to stay at home:
Itachi’s glare was cold and harsh. He had sent so many people running with just a look, but today, his target was the burnt food in the frying pan. He scrubbed at the pan frustratedly, splashing water over the edges of the sink.
It was his third attempt to make scrambled eggs, and somehow, it was still his best attempt.
You had already offered to help, but he had threatened to chase you out of the kitchen, so you were now just watching silently from the kitchen table.
“Itachi,” you said tentatively. “Maybe you should take a break-”
“No,” he said harshly. “I can do it. It is only scrambled eggs.”
You were a little worried about how intense he was being over some eggs, but you knew that he was feeling the pressure to gain his footing as a house spouse after retiring as soon as possible. He was also probably frustrated after not being an immediate genius at the one skill he was choosing to learn.
At that moment, the handle of the pan snapped under the furious pressure Itachi was using to clean it.
The look on Itachi’s face was so intense you were surprised the pan didn’t catch fire.
“I might just go and wait upstairs until you’re in a better mood,” you mumbled, quickly exiting the kitchen. You wouldn’t be able to keep your laughter in for much longer, and you had a sneaking suspicion it wouldn’t be taken kindly. Who would have thought that simple scrambled eggs could defeat the genius ninja?

"Can you tell me anything on what shield is working on these days?" She asked, going in front of the woman and basically shoving the recorder in her face. She didn't like this part of her job but sometimes it was necessary. Plus the recorder wasn't very good and wouldn't pick up much if it wasn't close.

“All we need is a cause to fight for. And for me, that cause is you.” — kunsel
“That's funny, 'cause you always used to tell me I'm a lost cause,” Zack replied, offering the other a hint of a smile.
The joke was easy. Easier than saying thank you and I appreciate you and it means the world to me that you never gave up on me. Even if all those things were true.
He already had something to fight for, and that was something Kunsel knew well. While Kunsel's proclamation was sentimental, it wasn't Kunsel that Zack fought for. The person Zack fought for was in a green test tube on one of the science floors, waiting for Zack to come and break him out. It wasn't anything against Kunsel, of course – but Kunsel didn't need someone to fight for him at the moment.
Cloud did, though. And Zack was bound and determined to save somebody, goddamn it. His dreams of being a hero were lost and smashed and gone, but he could still put his SOLDIER first class prowess to use in helping someone.
He owed Cloud that much.
