i hate seeing people erase canon bi/pan identifies

like i dont like diisney but some of the shows are ok, but i saw someone headcanon hunter (a canon bi character) as gay and willow (a canon pan character) as lesbian and when someone called them out on it they said that hunter being bi and willow being pan isn’t canon and is just a headcanon made by dana, did people forget that she made the show? people will always make up excuses to hate bi/pan people and be bi/panphobic, plus aren’t hunter and willow in a canon relationship? aren’t they dating in canon?

The headwriter of Owl House implied they were a couple. Zeno, Hunter's VA, would always jokingly say they have an ADVANCE FRIENDSHIP. Though I think the VA said this to play it safe for people who don't ship Hunter with Willow. I say they are a couple with how close they are by the epilogue. Extra info or material that is from outside sources like Twitter, does not count as actual canon within the show. If you couldn't show it, it is not part of it. Sure you can blame Disney for its limitations, but with how open they are to say FUCK THE MOUSE on Twitter, they could at least either take the loss for what it is or just not work with them in the first place. People say they hate how forced or rushed Hunter and Willow's relationship were. Some say they hate how Willow's character development was very little or only on the emotional side. Some say they hate how Hunter was mostly Willow's boy toy and he doesn't interact with other characters after season 2 besides Luz and Flapjack for plot. But since they can't blame Dana, their beloved creator that made their show, and they can't blame Disney that shortened its airtime because big corp that they will always follow and defend again for more rep, they got to blame something else. And it's the implication of them being a straight couple in a show that's been praised for LGBT themes and acceptance on a kids show. Because having a straight couple apparently RUINS the theme. It's not like Hunter and Willow even take up the spotlight that much when it's still about Luz's journey. But in modern age, if an LGBT person or group finds out a bi or pansexual got together with someone of their opposite sex, they are seen as traitors in their eyes and says they aren't part of LGBT. Not even as allies either. No straight love is allowed. So much for their motto of 'All love is love' when some love is better than others.

I saw the series recently and as a good maniac I joined groups of the series xd, I love Willow, she is the friend that everyone wants, Hunter has had a very interesting development, in the interview with the author of the series by the ship of these two, well he didn't say anything apart from laughing and hiding his blush xd, I just know that they look adorable together and willow would help Hunter learn to be him or at least not be so traumatized xd, Hunter and Luz they definitely had it very bad when they were in the mind of Belos xd. I only stay with the fact that if they did not release the collector Hunter, he would not have been able to survive since he has the mark of the emperor's coven:, v

I was searching for symbolic meanings of the willow tree, and I found this, all of you probably know where i’m headed.

“the willow has many healing properties” in this case it’s stated as physical pain, but I interpreted it as a psychlogical way, as we saw in “Labyrinth Runners” Willow helped Gus when he had a mental breakdown and he started to breathe properly thanks to her, and you know who else will probably need her help? Hunter !

“the willow tree may look dainty but, it’s power is not one to be underestimated.” a reference to willow’s past:being called half-a-witch and being underestimated by one of her ex closest friend: Amity, I can say that this is a cute coincidence (or maybe it’s not) Willow is also very feminine (she wears skirts,and is in fact, very dainty) but at the same time she is very strong and resilient, and it doesn’t delete any of her feminine traits.

Talker (Huntlow Ficlet)

“Bye Luz, bye Amity, bye Hunter!” Willow said with a smile as she walked out the door with Gus and Camila to go to Home Depot. Camila needed some new tools, Willow heard they had a greenhouse, and Gus wanted to see everything human.

“Bye!” Luz repeated and the door closed.

“Where’s your usual ‘byeeee’, Hunter?” Amity asked, doing jazz hands as she said ‘byeeee’.

“Huh?” Hunter asked. He had waved goodbye, which maybe wasn’t the way he usually said his goodbyes, but it was a goodbye. He didn’t see anything wrong with it.

“Yeah, you usually say that really long annoying bye,” Luz agreed.

“Hey! It’s not annoying!” Hunter yelled.

“It is,” Amity replied.

Hunter crossed his arms. “I dunno, I just didn’t feel like it.”

“But you’re such a talker!” Luz argued. “You always feel like talking.”

“Except when Willow is around,” Amity added. “You’re really quiet around her, aren’t you?”

“I guess,” Hunter agreed.

Hunter didn’t know exactly why he was so quiet around Willow. Maybe it just felt like she took up so much of the talking room? She was really confident, which Hunter thought was a great quality and made her such a great leader.

She was the perfect captain of the Flyer Derby team. She was confident, strong, and a skilled player. Her technique was impeccable. When Hunter snuck out to play sometimes, and he was sitting on the sidelines, he just had to admire how good she was.

And those were just the traits that made her a good Flyer Derby player. She was kind, bubbly, and always put other people first.

She was a very impressive person.

“Hmm, let me get my thinking glasses on…” Luz said, ominously.

She made circles with her hands around her eyes, Hunter not understanding what she was doing. She squinted her eyes at Hunter and opened her mouth.

“You like her.”

“Huh?” Hunter asked again. “Of course I like her. She’s our friend.”

“No, like, like-like her.”

Hunter remained confused. “...Yes. Like I said, she’s our friend.”

“She means you have a crush on her,” Amity rephrased. “I thought we all knew that?”

“What’s a crush?”

The trio went quiet. Luz and Amity exchanged looks. Hunter’s eyebrows were furrowed slightly as he looked between the two.

“You seriously don’t know what a crush is?” Amity asked.

“I know it’s like, when you squeeze a can so hard it bends. Like crushing something. But that’s not ‘a crush’. That’s improper grammar.”

“No, like, when you like-like someone,” Luz explained, taking off her thinking glasses.

“He doesn’t know what that means, Luz,” Amity stated. “A crush is when you like someone romantically.”

Heat rushed up to Hunter’s face. “I do not have ‘a crush’ on Willow.”

“You do,” Luz corrected.

“Do not!” Hunter argued. “What makes me seem like I have this crush thing on Willow?”

“Well for starters, she makes you shut up,” Amity began. “You always blush around her, you do stupid stuff when she’s around, and you stare at her. Don’t think I haven’t noticed that.”

“Wow, that’s a lot of points,” Hunter admits quietly. “Oh no. Maybe I do have a crush on Willow.”

“It’s nothing to be ashamed of,” Luz comforted. “But I will make fun of you for it for the rest of your days.”

“What if I end up like Amity?” Hunter asked, sitting on the couch. “A hopeless stupid mess. Unable to understand emojis.”

“Hey! You’re the one who can’t understand emojis!” Amity defended.

“What am I going to do?”

“Hey, it isn’t bad,” Luz said. “I think Willow brings out the best in you sometimes. Plus, you two would be the cutest couple!”

Hunter groaned. “That’s stupid. I don’t have the time for dumb romances like yours and Amity’s.”

“You’re stupid,” Amity deadpanned.

She makes me shut up, Hunter thought to himself. It wasn’t because she took up the talking room. It was because he acted differently around her. The more he thought about it, the more sense it made. He didn’t want to say anything stupid or embarrassing in front of Willow, not that he said stuff like that often. But saying embarrassing stuff around Willow always made him die inside when he did. Plus, Hunter loved to listen to Willow. She had such interesting things to say. It kept Hunter quiet.

Hunter never really noticed when he blushed, maybe he just had tough skin. He wasn’t sensitive. And maybe he did stare, Willow was pretty, after all. Those were typical romance things. Crush things, he assumed. Amity and Luz did those things.

Hunter was a talker. He talked to everyone. He talked to Darius, Camila, Flapjack, Luz, Gus, Vee, even Amity. And he talked like crazy. About anything and everything.

But Willow made him shut up.

And it wasn’t even a bad thing- he wasn’t scared or anything. There wasn’t any reason to shut up. But Hunter did.

That was impressive.

Am I the only one who is noticing that Hunter is slowly changing his color scheme from yellow (Associated with his time serving Belos as the Golden Guard) from Red (the color of his palismen, Flapjack, the first sign in the series that he was going to change and be free from the abuse he had to put up to)?????

I mean rn he is dressed in brown, sure, but you could say that's a color in between yellow and red??? Maybe???

Let's all be real and have a little moment of unity here, kids.

Lily Orchard is the very worst of both Antis and Proshippers.

For Antis, she's blatantly the kind of fandommom who doesn't actually care about the problematic aspects of writing/characters unless it's a character or ship she doesn't like (hence why Family Guy is good actually and never worth any real scrutiny despite it being Family Guy). No nuance where she'll agree to disagree w people about her own tastes which r problematic. No respecting other people's triggers or comfortzones or safespaces. 100% "if you like Cattdora, you like abuse", "if you like HunterxWillow ur a boring homophobe", "Rocky Horror is evil and nasty and ur a 'bad gay' 4 liking it" - cuz she said so and she has other people's actual lived experiences, critiques and trauma to back up her vendetta.

For proshippers, ....be real she's THAT KIND of proshipper (I know some of you will refuse to call 'that kind' of person a proshipper, but I mean...). Ya'll know the one. Ur out here w your unapologetic A/B/Os and Catdoras and Stolitzs or whatever saying "let people ship/like things you don't; stop being a bully" and IN COMES THIS asshole who's definition of fetish and paraphilia are so obviously one in the same. The type who likes incest and noncon and incestnoncon A LOT and makes one too many Colleen Ballinger-esque jokes abt minors for you to not be dialing 911, but then they'll punch you with a "are you being INTOLERANT of my sexual expression" bs to gaslight you about you not liking their predation?

Between obviously having made Stockholm and denying that she could have done so, along with her behavior, she's managed to run the gambit of being that one BIGOT and CREEP of a bully everyone else in the space hates. Like an evil fandom Hannah Montana.
