hi! what do you make of ai art? im conflicted cause i see how its great for disabled people in many ways, but then i look back at the work people put into becoming artists and mastering the craft and feel many things lol i wish i could look at it similarly like i look at producers for example, where you have a vision and tools and you know how to use it well so you dont need the musical training background to be creative, but i cant help but feel like its more complicated with visual art? that theres a whole other side besides having a vision and good understanding of a shortcut tool. im very very torn and also sorry for all that on your succession blog but knowing youre a fantastic artist whos recently been dealing with this sort of impossibility to make art i wonder if you have some insight in this area.

i appreciate u wanting to know my opinion on a Hot Topic such as this! i dunno man i have an aversion to any definition of art of any kind that requires effort or skill as essential features that make the art “real”. i think a lot of what is happening with AI discourse is that people are appropriately appalled by the way capitalism mangles creative output and even what kind of relationships artists can have with their work and with the rest of the world. i do not have a problem with a machine that digests and reconfigures information — a machine is just a machine. if one copied the way i make texture with colored pencil and produced an approximation of a new original work by me, i would be fascinated by what reactions i might have to it. would i feel threatened by it? would i be flattered? what might it open up for me, to see my work broken into a particular machine’s data? this is just a dream, though. i see many artists understandably frightened by what the exploiter class may choose to do with their new toys (and what they are already doing to us with them). it just sucks to see that very plain class antagonism passed over with arguments about the “purity” of human-made art, how it is somehow apparent to any observer when a work is truly endowed with a “soul” (if these arguments sound eerily like fascist aesthetic principles, it’s because they are fascistic).
and then to see people cheering for their own doom with this thing of mr. game of thrones & co suing chatGPT, complete with condescending explanations of how it’s not going to hurt fanfic writers because the problem these multimillionaires have is actually with people monetizing their work, and the true humble Fan would ne’er ask a but penny. do people really not see how this is making the divide between the “artist” and the “common person” greater? it is so goddamn expensive to survive right now, and the wealthy are using fear of technology as a tool to prevent you from making money, and yes, making art at all. only those with enough capital to protect their intellectual property with the force of the law are allowed to express themselves through art. yes, i think it should be well within your rights to bind and sell (for money, yes, money) your game of thrones fanfiction. so many of us are living in poverty right now, bombarded by entertainment but prevented from ever chewing it up or spitting it out. ed roth’s rat fink character had it right. fuck mickey mouse. like, we’re actually back to saying “fuck mickey mouse” being really cool. put him in a blender full of data, have it put him into a beach scene with BBW anime versions of lara croft and princess peach. intellectual property is a historically recent phenomenon. it is a tool to make the rich richer and get you well and squarely fucked. theoretically, yeah, it sounds good to have your work and livelihood honored and protected, but just like they’re trying to replace artists and actors and writers with AI, every single tool becomes a weapon in the hands of the rich. the hell people are worried they need more punishing copyright law to fix is already here. the woman who designed care bears & strawberry shortcake never saw a penny from it. AI art is only a threat in the hands of the corporations that happily do these things in the first place.
anyways. lol. i’m not very technologically minded in my own art practice — i’m not naturally drawn to new technology as a part of my work, and find many of the results i’ve seen from current AI art tech to be kind of aesthetically unpleasant. artwork contains unpleasantness, though. i’m not really interested in arguments over what artwork “should” contain, only what it does. i think the best AI art i’ve seen (ie: the stuff i’ve enjoyed the most) has been from alan resnick:
it is so terrifically disquieting. it leans into what makes AI-generated BBW lara croft kind of difficult to actually jack off to. the overlapping lines of bodies, the nonsense text. but then, if this work has merit, is that because alan resnick is uniquely special, thus proving the point that the technology is only valid in the hands of a “real artist”? can mr. resnick be said to be the “artist” of these images at all, because he trained a program to his own style and input interesting ides? does he deserve lots of money for his work creating iconic adult swim shorts like this house has people in it? well sure
or would this art only have value if somebody put a tremendous amount of labor into it? you know. my mother used to tell me, “hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work”. she said she should nail the phrase to my forehead, like martin luther at the church doors. having very recently become disabled & chronically ill, i don’t believe it anymore. i believe we should be able to use technology to make ourselves more free. we should not be so financially insecure that we are threatened by anyone expressing themselves with something we made. the ultra-wealthy are threatened by infringement because they need everybody else to stay poor, and the poor are threatened because they do not want to be poor any longer. it’s got nothing to do with strange scrambled pictures. if i could take pictures of every work of art i’ve ever loved and put it into a machine that mixes it up and turns it into a monster, i would do it just for a bittersweet laugh at it.

I haven't played any of the others either, and it's fine. This game is a giant combination of Dragon Age and D&D and Divinity Original Sin, and so if you like any one of those things it's absolutely worth it.
I have not played Divinity, though I've seen it when Thing 1 checked it out and it seemed quite good, and I do like TTRPG's and have a passing familiarity with other people playing D&D specifically? And we both know I love DA so... ALSO A COMPELLING ARGUMENT!

Meme has been having a lot of fun with it AND I WANT TO JOIN THE FUN, but I've never played this kind of RPG game before and historically I have been Bad At Figuring Out Problems (looking at you Lara Croft) but on the other hand i love DnD so....
I'll admit that the mechanics of the original BG is mostly why I never played it; too many dice rolls behind the scenes. Like, I love TTRPG's but I've never been good at keeping track of the actual rules I just bullshit with people I like a lot? Randomness/dice karma is fun when it's people, I find it less fun in CRPG's... I like to know WHY I failed or succeeded at things in computer games and what in theory is possible if I played differently.

On the 24th of November, twenty three years ago, the PlayStation 2 was released in Europe. Playing on it was among my favourite pastimes as a kid and I have many amazing and fond memories. To celebrate, I wanna share my favourite PS2 era games of all time. Not all of them are PS2 exclusives, in fact I think most of them aren't, but for me there were no other options honestly. I had no idea what a GameCube or an Xbox were until much later in life and PC gaming, due to my very old pc from the 90s, and due to thinking that you can only play with your mouse and keyboard, always looked inferior to me.
Now, most of these games on the following list I own, or owned, a few of them I had either borrowed from friends, played with said friends on their PS2, rented or only played demos of (until much later) and a very few of these games I actually played later on PS3 or PS4 remasters, but I decided to include them anyway because of all the fond memories I had, even if they were made in my teenage or young adult years, I think they still count lol
1. Tomb Raider: Legend - Tomb Raider is my favourite video game series ever and Lara Croft is my hero. It all started with Legend!
2. Tekken 5 - My love for fighting games probably started with this one. It was the very first fighting game I ever owned, possibly the very first I ever played too.
3. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe - I fell in love with the world of Narnia when the respective movie came out and dove deep into the books and franchise as a whole. This was the very first PS2 game I ever purchased, before my dad would only get me the demos included in the official PlayStation magazine as he thought it was better value for money to get multiple games at once, even if it were just demos lol
4. Sly 3: Honour Among Thieves - This is probably the game I rented the most. It was during summer vacation styling at my uncle's place. My cousins also had a PS2 of their own and my uncle would take us to the video store after going to the beach and we would each rent a game. This was my choice, most of the time, until I finally beat it! It was among the first games I ever beat!
5. Sonic Heroes - I was obsessed with Sonic the Hedgehog as a kid. I still think very fondly of the series, but haven't kept up with it as much after Unleashed I think. Heroes will forever be my favourite because of how many of the series characters are to play with!
6. Jak X: Combat Racing - This was actually the first game I ever owned but, I didn't purchase it, I actually got my cousin to give it to me lol. I think it ignited my love for kart racing lol
7. Final Fantasy X - I remember trying a demo of it as a kid and thinking "Wtf is this, why do I select combat moves, why can't I move around this sucks"... So it wasn't until I was a young adult that I actually gave the franchise a fair chance and X is definitely among my favourites now.
8. Sonic Mega Collection Plus - This I included because of the retro games in general. Of course I spent hours playing this on my PS2 and then I gave it to my brother who still loves Sonic a lot. But before that, we used to have an old PC at Grandma's house in the countryside where we would spend summer vacation. So an older cousin had installed some sort of emulator featuring tons of old Sega games on that PC and me and my younger cousins would play hours upon hours of Sonic 1, 2 and 3 on it before eventually moving the party to PS2s in later years!
9. SoulCalibur III - This is peak SoulCalibur for me. I used to play the demo of it before eventually managing to get my hands on a copy of it during the PS2s later years (c. 2008-2010)
10. Tekken Tag Tournament - I remember a friend of my dad's gave away a bunch of old games he had to us, so I got this after Tekken 5 was already out, but I still loved getting to play as Jun or Kunimitsu or Forest or Michelle and I also loved playing Tekken Bowl. Even my mum, who doesn't really play video games, enjoyed playing Tekken Bowl with my brother!
11. Resident Evil 4 - Okay. This might sound weird but, until c. 2010 I had never ever heard of Resident Evil in general, I don't know how or why, and I never actually got to play any of them until I played Resident Evil 6 with a friend. By the time I had gotten my PS4, I had become very invested in the series and started trying to get my hands on as many of them as I could. Resident Evil 4 is definitely among my favourites so, even though it's cheating, I'm including it on my list.
12. LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures - Funnily enough, I never had any interest in LEGO, I was on team Playmobil, or Indiana Jones for that matter, I think I only became aware of who he is after the fourth movie was out and promo for it was everywhere. But when it came to LEGO video games, I had tons of fun playing demos of LEGO Star Wars (another franchise I did not and still don't care for) and LEGO Batman before it and I had tons of fun! So I decided to pick Indiana Jones up as the first full LEGO game I owned. I wouldn't necessarily call myself an Indiana Jones fan, but I got around to watching the first four movies multiple times, all because of this game!
13. Sly 2: Band of Thieves - This is another cheat, because I played this game through the PS3 collection remaster for the first time, but my love for the third game prompted me to include it on my list. And it's a great game on its own of course.
14. Tomb Raider: Anniversary - By the time Anniversary was out, my original fat PS2 had died so I asked for a new one, and guess which game was bundled with it! I only owned a demo version of Legend before that, so Anniversary was actually the first Tomb Raider game I owned, despite being the third one I played!
15. Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. I got into my Harry Potter phase sometime between the release of the fourth and fifth movie. In between that time period I read all the books that were out at the time (were Deathly Hallows already out? I don't remember) and played as many of the games as I could get my hands on. Order of the Phoenix is my favourite book, movie and game of the series.
16. The Sims 2: Pets - I was debating between this and Castaway but I ultimately went with this. I know it's nowhere near comparable to the PC experience but I didn't know what Sims on the PC was all about at the time so I felt like this was the shit 🤣 it still has its own charm regardless
17. Ultimate Spider-Man - I was never big on comic book heroes. Batman and Spider-Man were probably the two solo exceptions. I guess it's no coincidence that these two get the best video games too! I haven't really bothered with the PS4 and PS5 games, played a little bit of the first one and didn't much care for it, but THIS one I really like!
18. Final Fantasy XII - Again, like with Final Fantasy X, this is a cheat, but I'm too invested in this game lol
19. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - While I much prefer Order of the Phoenix's free exploration of Hogwarts, I love that you can choose between Harry, Ron and Hermione in this one!
20. Shadow of the Colossus - I only owned a demo of this which ended after defeating Barbas so I never got to experience the whole thing until the COVID lockdowns when it was included as the free PS+ subscription game at one point or another and I finally got to play the whole thing! But even then, the little I had played as a kid was enough for it to be permanently engrained in my mind. I was so in awe by this game, still am.
21. Dead or Alive 2: Hardcore - Dead or Alive is my second favourite fighting game series after Tekken, and it's all mostly thanks to this game. Although I never actually owned it myself, a friend and then my cousins did so we would spend hours playing together either this or Tekken 5.
22. Sonic Riders - Again, only ever owned a demo of this. I did end up buying Zero Gravity, but there's something particular about this game's aesthetics that made me obsessed with it. The concept on its own still sounds so unbelievably cool to me and I wish Sega and Team Sonic would revive this sub-series some day! It's intro cinematic is the coolest shit ever.
23. SoulCalibur II - "Is that the one with Link in it?" No, because the GameCube does not exist silly, remember? I remember playing as Cassandra in the demo of II. The game is amazing, and I can see why many prefer it over SoulCalibur III, but to me it's the other way around. Still a great game though
24. Madagascar - I only ever played demos of it and rented it but never completed it. I did get the second one, but this was the shit. I vividly remember doing various tasks that would earn me pieces of a makeshift Statue of Liberty that the gang was making in hopes that someone would see the fire from the torch and come get them. I remember actually making drawings of castaway statue of liberty lol.
25. God of War II - I never cared much for excessive violence and gore or naked ladies but, greek mythology is right up my alley so this aspect of god of war always appealed to me. It's also why I don't care for the newer games as much; I appreciate that Kratos is no longer annoying and screaming but I got enough of my Norse fix from Skyrim and Valhalla, I really don't care to see any more of it. Also: Greek Mythology > Egyptian Mythology >>>>> Norse Mythology. I'm sorry it's the rules

ffxiv patch 6.3 maintenance = servers down for tonight welp
i was working on the book of skyfire 1 with the extremely rare and stupid FATES when i had to eat dinner and shower so uh welp guess ill do that tomorrow now idk
hm i think ill have to choose between bloons 6, creeper world 3 or 4, or just. firing up the deck and finally playing bayonetta 1 or wolfenstein or something. sadly lara croft rise of the tomb raider is taking forever to download lol its like 50+ gb or something honestly ridiculous lol
also, i think its quite funny but, the original thief games dont work on steam/linux without modding. like. this ancient game from like 1997 or 98 or something, thief 1, also known as Thief Gold (i think is the title on steam to differentiate it from the Thief 2014 (reboot??)) doesnt work on the cutting edge of technology/linux. like. we have to download a thief mod to fix it, idk why lol. tbh i’ve been planning on getting it anyways if i were to play it on pc as it was originally intended just bc i hear that it has some compatibility patches for windows 10/11 and also lighting fixes or something for immersion/fixing crappy graphics anyways and i think the reason that linux doesnt like it is something about the cutscenes rendering?? i honestly dont really understand, is it like the cutscenes are literally some old windows movie maker files that the game keeps in a separate folder and loads every time or what lol
(other news tho since squareenix is currently just killing itself for stupid nfts, at least eidos montreal and crystal dynamics are finally free of their bs lol maybe we can finally have a proper new thief to scratch the itch that the original thief and dishonored series left us on. theres not enough good sneaky games out where >_< oh an deus ex i guess. never played it but i do have it on my steam backlog and i’ve heard that once you get over the silly jank of early pc games it and the story really hold up, im looking forward to playing it sometime)
edit: looked up why some games that are old + some visual novels that really shouldnt be that demanding hardware-wise aren’t playable, aaaaannd yup, its a cutscene / windows movies file issue. or, as this article puts it, “ seems to fail because in-game videos use a problematic Windows Media Player codec that could be difficult to implement through Steam Deck's Linux Proton compatibility layer.” theres also some issues that are just keyboard/mouse heavy games so it can be hard to play if you dont have a bluetooth keyboard/mouse on hand already. the article is from jan 2022 though, so hopefully some of these issues have been fixed. also love how they put “Final Fantasy” in the verified games list. like. bro, which one?????? there are 15 final fantasies plus some extras, its a very misleading game series names truly lol.
theres also i guess a community driven site about players testing the games thru proton themselves, looks like someone managed to get amnesia memories to work somehow????? 3 months ago??? even though steam store is showing me a no, this person says it does? maybe they modded it or used wine or something to install it rather than the standard proton linux that steam runs on. ive only used wine to run utau and a ds emulator on my macbook, i really dont know enough abt linux to play around with it tbh....
sure would be nice for the op of that comment to like. idk. have a more detailed comment on how they got it to work or something.

Black desert online character creation internal error
Gear – top-tier best-in-slot gear in characters are definitely better than those that aren’t.
The grind to get from 62 to 63, however, is harder than getting from 61 to 62, and even tougher in levels past 63.
It has a soft level cap at around 56 to 61.
Level – Black Desert has a strange level cap.
This is true for all aspects of character progression, namely: True to its Korean MMO roots, Black Desert is all about the grind. For now though, it’s a game I’d definitely recommend setting to the native language.What to Look For in a Black Desert Online Account? I’ve been playing through it the first time in English just to get a complete sense of everything a bit more easily, as well as learn names (they, for the most part, seemed to have been properly coached on how to say Chinese words). If it’s not her, it’s a near doppleganger for the voice, lol. In fact, her voice in English sounds an awful lot like the voice of the woman that did Lara Croft in the recent reboots (Camilla Luddington). Most of the rest hover somewhere around decent (kind of FFXIV A Realm Reborn quality in places, to give a comparison), with a few stand outs – Yilang is pretty well voiced, as is another major character you meet – Li Lingshuang. Tends to sound like some young guy dropping their voice an octave and trying to sound slightly out of breath. Voice quality is also hit or miss – biggest misses are kids or old characters, especially the latter. Throw in the apparent technical issues that were/are preventing English VO that is in the game from playing properly, and that’s where we’re at for now. Grammatically correct for the most (minus typos), just awkwardly written at times, and doesn’t always match the subtitles. Some parts of the localization were clearly more directly translated than localized, so dialog on our side ends up sounding stilted or awkward, which doesn’t help with understanding parts of the story (most notable when an idiom or metaphor was clearly used – “tomatoes over the eyes” is the example that comes to mind from one conversation) just from the conversations and action on the screen.įortunately it’s not gibberish or “just a Google translate” like some have been claiming in chat and the Discord. Also, bad mermaid lady wants to free her evil dragon husband.įortunately, the redone “Sword Master Adventure” menu, which is sorta like a Main Quest or Main Objective tracker, has a decent enough description of the events of each chapter you go through. Swords (notably an evil sword used to cause all sorts of problems, both in the past and more recently) and spirits is the gist of it. Many players are pointing out that the decision to have servers in Germany or the east coast of the US is causing massive lag problems for anyone wanting to play in certain regions like South America or Oceania, but overall players seem to be enjoying themselves, with one review likening the game to a combination of Genshin Impact and WoW. Otherwise, SOLO’s debut seems to be going reasonably well, as Steam user reviews have it sitting at “ Mostly Positive” at the time of this writing. This prompted a round of emergency maintenance along with a patch with some voiceover updates, but the maintenance didn’t solve the issue, resulting in Gameforge having “ a long call with Microsoft” to pin down the problem.Īs of this moment, the game has had a second emergency maintenance this past Saturday, which appears to have solved the problem, though the devs stated shortly after the maintenance that they would continue to monitor things. EDT that morning, with players running in to false maintenance notifications, disconnects, and login problems. The problems were noted just after 10:30 a.m.
This past Friday saw Swords of Legends Online arrive to our side of the world, but as is the way of pretty much all MMORPG launches from here to forevermore, there were some technical snarl-ups that publisher Gameforge had to navigate, specifically for the NA server.

So I knew about the legend of the DA2 Japanese Dub, but I was today years old when I learned that Merrill was literally voiced by Pikachu and now I'm even sadder that this version of DA2 seems to be somehow lost to time forever.
I'm so fascinated with this, because no one is able to find anything about this Dub anymore, let alone a Japanese copy of the game, which only adds to its myth status, to a point where you question if it ever existed at all. 😂
One of the few hard evidence of its existence we still have is this single trailer, so I did a little bit of digging about the cast and apparently, the following people share the same Japanese VA (btw, this was literally how the names were spelled/romanized on the website that translated the credits):

For Adam, I feel like it’s a blend of how his story handles gender and how he interacts with people, and def I just vibe a lot with his aesthetic lol and for Gamora, I get so many feelings for how she handles her own feelings and relationships, the way she makes decisions, why she acts the way she does, it’s just very interesting to me. I relate to them both a lot
Lara Croft ( Tomb Raider ) — While I kinda played around in the TR games as a kid (yes, I locked Winston in the freezer), I didn’t get into them deeply until the survivor reboot came out. Then I promptly went back and played every game (yes, even Angel of Darkness) and Lara is now one of my favorite characters. I just love how she’s such a nerd and still so kick ass and the way her trauma manifests and affects her, idk I love her
Frederick ( Fire Emblem ) — MY MAN I love him so much. I just, I want a knight who’s gonna knit me sweaters, you know?
Gray Fox ( Metal Gear Solid ) — *curls into a ball* Quiet was a close one on this but Fox just...oof, you know? I did not expect to like him going into the series tbh just because it seemed most of his fanbase just hyped him up being a cyborg and I want something more than that. AND OH BOY DID I GET IT! I guess a lot of it is me reading between the lines of the MG2 dialogue but still....he has such a rich and tragic story, and I did a lot of historical research into him too and learned a lot of things about war, which I feel is what Kojima wanted haha but I love him so very much
Hawke ( Dragon Age ) — DA2 is my favorite DA for one. Second, Hawke’s story just speaks to me, and it makes me so sad what she has to go through, losing her family, what happens to Kirkwall, the ending... THE ENDING GOD! I cried the first time (and I cry a lot during that game, still, actually). It’s such a compelling story to me and I feel so much for Hawke. The found family stuff with the Kirkwall crew just gets me right in the feelers
Cell ( Dragonball Z ) — I was about to say he was my OG childhood obsession but there was someone before him...and before the others...so we won’t go down that dark road. But idk I can’t really explain this. I just love him. The style, the drama, his past, his motivations, it’s some Good Shit
Aerith Gainsborough ( Final Fantasy ) — Ok she’s another childhood obsession. I think my first fanfic actually involved her (it was her and Cloud reuniting fix-it fic, because of course it was). A secret: as a kid I thought her ribbons were her ears. idk I was like, well I guess that’s normal, it’s a game, idc. But yes, I love her for her sassiness and just in general how great she is
Elisa Maza ( Gargoyles ) — a true icon for little me. Don’t tell my mom, I would pretend to go to bed and then sneak the TV on to watch Gargoyles cause it only came on on the late night block. She’s been a favorite since I was a kid
Fujin ( Mortal Kombat ) — would you judge me if I said it was the braid that got me first? ...I’m a sucker... but then I saw more of him and he’s so gentle and such a nerd aND HE HAS PUNS and he loves humanity and learning about them and ??? HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE HIM ???
Soseki ( Harvest Moon ) — I love one sad tragic man with my whole heart. These games have such surface level information but he’s just so sweet and full of puns and flirting and I just love him...I don’t know what else to say but I have a lot of strong memories and connections tied to his character and I feel very close to him.

Fic writer review [Or a fic writer tag game if you prefer]
I was tagged by @naralanis and I can already see her grin all the way from where I am xd Thank you, dear, for the tag, let’s see what are my answers, shall we.
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
*bursts out laughing* Adding both pseuds I have… 535 according to the account info but by counting them all I’m reaching 541 so I’m guessing it’s counting some drafts I need to re-find.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
I seriously hated you for this one xd I was going to do it by hand by I decided one-third there that I value my mental stability a little bit more xd according to the stats page back at a03 that number would be 1257884. It may be wrong. I think there should be a few more numbers up there but the majority of my works are one-shots so *shrugs* There’s also the fact that counting my ao3 things only is shaving off like half of it Xd Anyway, can we laugh at the fact that I’m a pain in the ass and that I’ve written a lot? More than I should have, that’s for sure
3. How many fandoms have you written for?
Trick question because I haven’t crossposted everything I wrote back in ffnet and I actually erased some fics from my account back there so the numbers are a little blurry there.
When I had the entirety of my work posted both in ffnet and a03 I had written for: Twilight (Bella/Alice) Glee (Faberry and there were a couple Pezberry and I don’t fucking remember the pairing name for Santana and Quinn), Harry Potter (Hermione/Ginny, Hermione/Narcissa, Hermione/Bellatrix) OUAT (SwanQueen and several oneshots focusing on the mad hatter and the blue fairy solely back at ffnet that were written in Spanish and never translated), I actually had a veeeery old au prompt of Frozen (Elsanna in where I wrote them as non sibilings), Rizzoli and Isles (Rizzles), Dishonored 2 (Emily Kaldwin/Alexi Mayhew), Lara Croft and Wonder Woman, Supergirl (SuperCorp/Supercat) I had a 100 one -or maybe two??- (Clexa), The Shannara Chronicles (Amberle/Eretreia [Or Princess Rover], Rwby [Blake Belladona/Yang], The Worst Witch (Hecate Hardbroom and Pippa Pentangle), The Half of it, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (Madam Satan/Zelda Spellman) and… I think that’s it(?) I may be forgetting some but probably nothing important if I’m not remembering it lol.
4. Top 5 fics by kudos?
Ah, we are going to go there, uh? Xd My works are not the kudos and comment getting type Xd So I was quite surprised when I went to check this.
1: Cracked it I wrote this one back in 2017, it was a prompt done by an anon: Lena is nerding with one of her projects at home, mumbling mostly to herself because she’s stuck and Kara casually mentions how to solve the problem like it’s nothing. I really had some fun with this. It was back when some us, SQeeners were fully doing the jump between OUAT and SuperGirl (I mean, there had already been some crossover as for fandom is related but this when the girls were actually getting their conjoined voice within the fandom)
2: Dateless I honestly needed to check what this one was about but I think I can see why this one shot has the amount of kudos it has. It’s a short and sweet idea and responds to the Teachers Au that went SO well with SQ. Everyone thinks they hate each other and try to set them up with other people whilst they, in truth, are dating. I don’t remember if I wrote them as married rather than dating but despite being from 2017 as well is one cheeky enough to be cool Xd I probably would edit some lines now *shudders*
3: After you I truly didn’t expect this one to be top 3. Makes me think of a lot of things, if I’m being honest Xd. After you was a one shot written almost feverishly as an answer to the fabulous drawings that Sejic did of both Lara Croft and Wonder Woman back at 2018 or something. It’s just Lara and Diana being himbos but not at all with each other.
4: How about… How about is one I remember perfectly, it was my answer to the ending of the Half of it film. I had SOME thoughts about it, let’s just stop there Xd I really liked the film itself but I think and I thought at the time that my response to wishing for a final scene at the very end of the credits responds to me being in a different personal moment than the characters. I really wanted to explore my feelings about it and so I wrote about them finding each other again after some time passes. It was also something I wrote after quite the hiatus so I took it as something I could write about without focusing too much on the why.
5: Come to me
Ahh, SuperCorp Xd I remember this one actually. A friend of mine and I were talking about descriptions, and she mentioned quite off-handedly how she wanted a fic in where Kara’s back was described. I complied… more or less.
Fun tidbit, despite the big volume of my work is obviously set in ouat there’s only 1 SQ fic there as you can see, the others are either SuperCorp or the random one shots I created for Wonderwoman/Lara Croft and The half of it. *sighs in deep thought* I’m also not going to look too much into how almost all of the fics were posted and written back in 2017. Nope, not at all.
*Small voice screaming you peaked in 2017 and everything else is garbage jumps back and forth*
5. Do you respond to comments? Why/why not?
I tend to always respond, yup. I truly value comments. I might have gone for spells of time in where I didn’t have the mental capacity to check in old fics because I truly didn’t know what to answer but I treasure every single comment and you all who comment know that I can start to ramble in the answers xd -sorry about that- I really really REALLY love interaction.
6. A fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending:
Ok, Nara, come on, this one is a catch for me. I’ve written angst in far too many fics to remember the angstiest one :P I have the most recent one, though, that is the easy one to think about: Goodbye.Written for @delirious-comfort. I’m just going to say “Kisses with their last dying breath” as an idea of what awaits inside but I’ve written about death and loss and angst quite a lot. There were some I wrote back to SQ with Regina needing to kill Emma during the Dark Swan arc that, to this day, I still love and some others in where Regina is the one that dies, again and again, trapped by magic while Emma watches. I have the loss in mental destruction form and… I REALLY like my angst y’know xd
7. Do you write crossovers?
Not counting Lara and Wonder Woman not really! I think it comes from the fact that I loooove worldbuilding as a whole and some pairings would require all my focus into making the world perfect which in turn would make me self conscious on the OOCness of it all.
8. Ever received hate on a fic?
*snorts* I’ve received hate due to the pairing I’ve written about, how I’ve written about it, the amount I’ve written, how slow or quick I can be, the usage of some tropes, the lack of usage of those same tropes… Let’s just go with: yuuuup.
9. Do you write smut?
I’ve written smut, yeah! But I can already see the pointed looks of some so let’s elaborate Xd I write smut when asked and sometimes when not asked but there’s a part of me I like to call a terrible tease that prefers writing the beginning of a scene, taunt it, focus on what happens before the sex scene per se as I find it more enjoyable to write. The process of escalation is always the best for me to see what can I do it by using both dialogue and descriptors tbh, so I tend to tease more than show.
9. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
A few weeks ago I’d have said: Maybe(?) But trying to follow the trail of some other fics that had been stolen from some friends -I think it was me trying to find more about the page that stole something from your Nara!- I found some pages in where my fics had been reposted. In some it was stated that the person posting the fic wasn’t the author but I had never been contacted in order to see if I’d say yes to such a thing and in some others the page was locked up but I could still see someone was pretending to be the author. I did the thing and got some of those down.
Pointed note: Ask me if you want to post or translate or anything. I will look into you and answer you if you seem honest about the thing. But despite every joke and self-deprecating comment those 500 and then some fics represent MY time so very kindly I say fuck off to those who wish to steal from me and if I catch you… you don’t really want to see me angry, trust me.
10. Ever had a fic translated?
I’ve given permission to some, yeah, but never heard it back from them so I’m guessing it didn’t stick.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic?
I’ve written series alongside other authors as @stregaomega for example. And some others that are unpublished -looking at you @carsonnieve - I’ve also done collabs… but fics co-written in the sense of two authors same chapters I don’t have anything posted I’m afraid :P
13. All-time favourite ship?
*snorts*, I guess the obvious answer is SQ uh? And I do think they were the ones that allowed me to read and write SO much. The one I feel more strongly about, however, is Bering and Wells from Warehouse 13.
14. WIP you want to finish, but don’t think you ever will?
All of them counts as a valid answer? But if I only could finish one that would be Arcadia. With A forgotten Promise second and the one I did as an Assassins Creed AU third. (I don’t remember the name so there’s no link, sorry xd)
15. Writing strengths?
Uhhhh, you REALLY want me to say that? I don’t fucking know!! To me everything I write is garbage. I always try to go for the feelings so I guess. Dunno xd I’ve been told I’m good at worldbuilding and to be honest is what I enjoy the most.
16. Writing weaknesses?
Everything Xd Pacing? What I hate the most sometimes is dialogue, I would count it as a weakness but I’m always far too focused on description rather than dialogue. I don’t think it’s a bad thing per se but it’s something that I don’t do as much.
17. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?
I’m conflicted. Always. Majorly because I think that having bilingual characters in fanfiction is portrayed and expected in a way that I don’t feel it’s honest with how bilingual people -us- talk. So if I go by what I know I do I think it’s not what readers hope to see when it comes to that and if I go for how canonically is hoped to be found I don’t think it’s logical. But that’s me and my overthinking Xd If I have the option I like to do it.
18. First fandom you ever wrote for?
Belice! Or Bella/Alice. Worst first fic ever but oh, well, I’m always saying that :P
19. What’s your fav fic you’ve written so far?
Uhh… Don’t make me do this XD Agh, I don’t know. I’ve always been very vocal about Metallic Ink because I let myself enjoy the process of creating a magic system almost out of zero and that was fun. Despite hating some of the writing process and that I’d do it differently now I think I’m going to stick with that answer. Or anything that had any steampunk-based undertone. To be honest I like more thinking of concepts, I had one in where Emma was a thief and it involved the robbery of a ring that was Regina’s one way ticket to freedom I then later repurposed that I adored thinking about so let’s go with…. Yeah, I love having the option of changing things up a little and focus on how characters would fit in different aesthetics for this one Xd

Fav movie is a hard one as I’m not a huge movie watcher I usually find it hard to sit through a movie without wanting to get up and do other things but I do enjoy most Disney movies, and Prince of Egypt is one I can usually sit through the whole movie for, I think it is by dream works

Forced To Let Go CH 2
This is the second chapter of my Jemily fic Forced to Let Go. I’m sorry for delaying it, I kind of got caught up in the game Lara Croft: Tomb Raider lol.
Looking back at this story I realized I turned it into two chapters not Three. Whoops lol If you want to see a third part to this story let me know and I’ll be happy to write it. I was honestly going to make it more angsty by adding some ideas I have in my head but decided against it and ending it here.
I’m working on the second chapter to my Ocean’s 8 Lou Miller/Reader fic and I’ll pot it as soon as I finish it. I’m just working on the angle on how I want the story to go. :)
Warnings: No major warning except Angst andd even more Angst.

Two Days Later
Day of Wedding
Emily had arrived at the wedding a little late. It hurt too much to come and watch the woman she loved marry someone else and knowing she probably essentially pushed them together. Just the thought made her heart clench heavily. The other reason why she was late was because she technically didn’t have anything to wear since she packed all her belongings and put them in the trunk of her car. She had already given her landlord the keys to the apartment before she drove to the wedding. Her intentions were to come for the ceremony and sneak away and leave as soon as it was over, not able to bear to be there any longer let alone say goodbye to anyone.
Emily had gone to the bar to drink a little and be away from everyone only for Morgan to catch up unfortunately for her the man had been extremely observant since he had noticed how quiet and closed off she was after talking to him she confessed about her leaving much to his disappointment and Hotch popping up trying to talk her out of it but she shook her head stating she had already made the decision looking away and walking away but both men knew it was much more they where profilers they knew something else was driving Emily to pack up and leave but they didn’t pressure her. Instead they both made a point in making her final night with them worthwhile and memorable even though Emily doubted anything could cheer her up but nodded smiling not wanting to disappoint them.
The wedding ceremony started without delay and JJ walked down the aisle. Emily watched her walk down the aisle and Emily couldn’t look away. Emily thought JJ looked breathtakingly beautiful, she looked like an angel in her white dress and she couldn’t look away. The dress hugged her figure perfectly and her hair styled to perfection but what snapped her out of it was the smile. Emily saw JJ give Will the happiest smile she has given anyone and that broke Emily all over again but she pushed it back.
When JJ walked past Emily, Emily made sure not to meet JJ’s eyes instead she looked at Will’s direction and didn’t help but roll her eyes slightly. She looked around making sure no one noticed and was relieved when no one did. Emily after sat through the long ceremony and watched them say their final I do. After the priest asked if anyone objected and no one did despite the fact that Emily loved her but she wouldn’t be cruel despite the outcome. During that minute paused Emily caught JJ looking at her and Emily’s eyes flashed with pain but hid it instead Emily looked down and away pretending to look to see if anyone would object.

The reception party began quickly after, it had started a bit ago and Emily began walking around watching her team. Her now ex-team danced and partied the night away, celebrating JJ and Will now husband and wife’s wedding. It was at this moment that she decided to leave. Seeing them dancing smiling happily made Emily wonder why she did after so many times JJ expressed that she couldn't see herself marrying Will.
Emily herself found the man slightly controlling given how he forced JJ to tell the rest of the team that they were officially even threatening to break up over it and on top of that forcing JJ to tell the team about the pregnancy and even telling them himself when she wasn’t ready. Emily knew he made her happy but some of his behaviors unnerved Emily and she secretly had hoped JJ would choose to be with her but she knew it would never happen despite their fling and quite frankly she wasn’t surprised.
Emily watched Garcia dancing with Morgan, Hotch dancing with Beth and Rossi with Strauss. JJ dancing with Will. Emily walked near a tree and her eyes suddenly locked with JJ, Emily could see the look of regret and apologetic and Emily’s eyes betrayed how heartbroken she was. Emily simply walked on mouthing out congratulations, eyes more on Will than at JJ. Emily didn’t want to make JJ feel bad at her wedding so she locked eyes one more time to see JJ mouthing out an apology and Emily despite herself gave a single curt nod at her as a way of telling her it was fine and it didn’t matter.
She made sure she kept up a mask of calm and indifference all the while she pretended she was happy and enjoying herself. Despite feeling led on and hurt she was actually happy for JJ but at the same time she just couldn’t express it at the moment. Although Emily knew that JJ could see through the fake smile and sudden professional nod, JJ has seen her use it too many times it was the same indifferent professional nod she gave anyone she meets while working cases or even anyone her mother introduces her.
At this point Emily had to keep her distance and stay far from her best friend and being indifferent was the only way they thought she could. As well as running away Emily seems to be a pro at doing that too.
Emily walked to her table to grab another drink when she felt someone tap her shoulder. Looking over her shoulder to find Morgan staring intensely at her with a knowing look beside him was Spencer.
“What’s up guys?” Emily questioned
Morgan glanced at Spencer than at Emily, “I was going to talk to you.”
“Same, us coming here at the same time is a coincidence although I have to say Emily don't think I haven’t noticed.” Spencer told her eyebrow raised
Emily gulped nervously wondering what he was talking about. She knew he wasn’t aware of her leaving since it was a last minute thing and she has been very subtle when it came down to her crush on JJ not to mention her relationship with the blonde or lack of relationship.
“Emily I saw the look you gave JJ just now and could read right through it and no I wasn’t profiling. If that look doesn’t scream I’m not happy for you than I don’t know what is also I noticed a few months now how distance you’ve been with her, you only talk to her professionally when it involves cases and when she wants to have a casual conversation you either pretend you're interested or make an excuse and walk away.” Spencer explained worried
“I have noticed as well Prentiss. Tell us what’s really going on with you. I know you went through a lot and this is something that’s much more then.” Morgan told her arms crossed
“Ugh what did I say about profiling.” Emily told them irritated
“It wasn’t profiling Emily. You’re in love with her... Emily why didn’t you ever told her even before she meet him.” Reid tone was frantic and changed to disappointment at the last part of his sentence as if the idea of Emily never telling JJ was devastating to him
Emily froze and immediately flushed shaking her head, “Whatttt no what gave……..me and JJ? Nooo...we never…… I mean….” Emily stuttered but paused sighing taking a deep breath, “What I mean to say is nothing is going on between JJ and I.”
Morgan shook his head, not impressed by her excuse and Spencer rolled his eyes but his eyes shone in amusement.
“Emily who are you trying to fool, I’m a bisexual man I can tell you’re gay from a mile away and JJ is as closeted as they come and I know you two secretly slept together so I’ll asked again. Why didn’t you ever tell her, you know if you needed help I could have helped anything to get you two together.” Spencer explained crossing his arms equally disappointed
Emily’s jaw dropped for a moment shocked but sighed knowing they caught her and there was no way to lie to them and it would be nice to tell someone about it for a change.
“Okay fine I’ll tell you and I didn’t knew you where bisexual. How did I miss it?” Emily questions suspiciously
Reid laughed shaking his head and Morgan chuckled, “Emily I don’t exactly try to hide it you know. I didn’t just went to see my friend play you know.”
“Oh…….OHHH.. Go Reid.” Emily cheered earning a blush from the man
“You’re evasive Emily.” Morgan pointed out and Emily sighed
“Fine… long story short JJ and I had something going on for years even while JJ was with Will. I tried to stop it a few times but when things got serious between them I stopped it somewhat I only agreed to be with her a few times feeling it wrong. In Paris she stayed a while with me until I recovered and during that time we talked a lot she told me Will had proposed a few times and she refused him. She told me he isn’t the type she would marry and would never marry him. I asked her about her type and she told me she would rather date me and give me a chance… she even promised we can date when Doyle was captured we can start dating.” Emily told them sounding sad looking down
Both men looked at Emily worried but confused. They both looked at each other and thought the same thing. If JJ was willing to be with Emily what happened? They both looked back at JJ and Will dancing and back at Emily.
“What happened? That could be you there not him. Nothing against Will but between us three I rather see you and her there.” Morgan told Emily
“I second that.” Reid stated smiling brightly
Emily smiled weakly at them, “She changed her mind a few weeks ago during the Oregon worshiping ritual case I told her and asked rather what we were. Anyways she told me she can’t leave Will and cant hurt him… well more like tell me she cannot bear to hurt him. She also said she isn’t ready for that commitment or the consequences that came with it whatever that means….” Emily shrugged. Reid gave Emily a sad look out of all the reasons that was the last thing he was expecting and all Morgan did was shake his head frowning, also surprised and baffled.
“So she didn’t love you back? She could have fooled us don’t think we didn’t know about you two but none of us said anything because it wasn’t our business and you never got in the way of work.” Morgan pointed out
“That’s not important anymore… She is married now I have to get over her that’s why I have to get away… Guys are alright, it was nothing but a fling between friends. Friends with benefits but I put an end to it completely weeks ago.” Emily told them shaking her head
“Wait! Leave what do you mean leave.” Reid squeaked surprised
“Sorry Reid but I’m leaving for London. I was offered a position to be director of Interpol and I took it… I wasn’t going to but I have to get away…. I….is not the same after Doyle I would have stuck around but after what happened a few weeks ago and now this I really need to leave I already gave up my apartment and packed but I wasn’t going to leave without at least saying goodbye to you Reid I was actually going to go tell you before I leave in a twenty minutes.” Emily promised
Reid looked at her sad and put out but nodded, “I understand Emily, I would want to get away for a while too if I was in your shoes.”
Emily hugged them promising to keep in touch; they then pulled her to dance which earned a real laugh for the first time in weeks. After Morgan winked and went to distract everyone alone with Reid while Emily snuck away but not before Hugging Rossi and whispering her goodbye to him. He was saddened but nodded understanding and she took advantage and walked away looking back one last time. The team was all dancing and partying Morgan and Reid doing a really good job keeping everyone occupied and distracted so none of them even noticed she was gone. JJ was holding Will tightly smiling brightly which made Emily frown saddened the ache coming back full force making her eyes water.
“Bye JJ. Despite how things turned out I’ll always love you.” Emily whispered one last time to herself staring longingly at JJ’s direction before walking to her car and driving off to the airport.
An hour later Emily sat at the airplane drained but she could never sleep in an airplane the days events catching up to her but she knew there was no turning back and she had to get away from it all. She wondered how it was that Doyle single handedly took everything from her yet it was JJ’s wedding that became the last straw. A lone tear fell from her eyes, feeling the plane taking off.

“Forgetting someone as special as JJ is the hard part.” Emily sighed softly looking out the night sky watching the lights of the city fade into the distance.

After the Wedding Reception
JJ looked around once she and the team finished cleaning up Rossi’s yard after cleaning they hung out for a while but JJ spent it thinking about Emily wondering where she was. JJ and Will an hour after it was all over drove home with Will originally they where suppose to go to a hotel to essentially have sex a couple but JJ wasn’t up telling Will another time but her mother had overheared and had none of it forcing her too thrilled to have her daughter finally marry what she described as an exemplary man who she always dreamed her daughter to marrying and JJ felt a wave of guilt thinking of Emily suddenly wondering if the wedding was a good idea when she knew who she truly loved was Emily.
She hasn’t seen Emily since they shared that look which hasn’t left her mind all night. She had a really bad feeling about it and she really wanted to talk to Emily and maybe straighten things she didn’t want to lose her best friend but something Reid said struck out just now that she couldn’t help but wonder if he was right. He had told her privately how sometimes during life and death situations is not wise to make major deciduous because you have the tendency of regretting them later on, that is why experts always say to wat twenty-four to forty-eight hours once the adrenaline is gone before making any decision and is worse if someone you care about nearly dies. What had unnerved JJ was the way Reid looked at her square in her eyes as they danced and said what he said to her made her heart drop but before she could ask they stopped dancing and went back to where Morgan and Garcia where and Rossi took over to dance with her.
“JJ I understand you almost lost the father of your son and want him around for Henry and to give him a family having him grow up with both parents close but why the sudden chance specially when you rejected the proposal so many times. Jayje as your friend and the godfather of your son know that experts say that you shouldn’t make big decisions like this as soon as you face extreme traumatic events or life and death situations you tend to regret them later.” Reid stated while spinning her gently
JJ looked confused at him, “What are you saying Spencer that I made a mistake marrying the father of my child who I love?” JJ looked baffled at him
Spencer shook his head at JJ, “There’s a difference between Loving someone and being in love with someone JJ for example I love you but as a sister I’m not in love with you romantically. They’re many different kinds of love JJ siblings, paternal, and you can love someone enough to procreate but not truly love them deeply in love with them.” Spencer spun them both gracefully while spinning JJ and catching her meeting JJ’s wide surprised eyes with his own knowing ones which JJ found unnerving.
JJ furrowed her eyebrows confused, “What’s w…”
Spencer interrupted her, his tone gently and kind, “I know more than I let on and all I can say is is stability, comfort, the obvious choice and family expectations really worth losing the person you’re truly in love with because trust me by the time you figure it out it’ll be to late. You said your I do’s to the obvious choice who had already giving up asking content with not marrying and trust me even Will had noticed. Think about it JJ and congratulations on the wedding regardless of your choice is your wedding and we are happy for you.” Reid stopped there dancing and winked walking away
“Wait Spencer.” JJ called out
“Yes?” Spencer quirked an eyebrow
“What do you mean and when did you learn to dance so well?” JJ’s voice was soft
“Just giving my best friend advice and Richard taught me.” Spencer gave JJ a wide grin and a knowing wink before walking away
That last part didn’t click to JJ right away until now the tone of pure fondness Spencer used when he said the name and when it clicked her eyes widen in realization that this Richard guy might be someone Spencer was dating but JJ didn’t knew Spencer way gay since she seen him show interest in girls too so that meant he was bisexual but that last part wasn’t what was in her head it was the entire conversation and when she looked around for Emily she couldn’t find her but before she could even go looking for her. Her mother and Garcia had shoved her in a car with Will sending her off.

The Next Day
JJ snuck out of the hotel dressed in casual and ran off. The entire night her mind was on Emily but unfortunately she had to focus for an hour on Will. Usually she can get off fine with him but last night she found herself faking it for her husband's sake. Thankfully he was no profiler and JJ was a pretty good actress and he didn’t tell a difference. She felt guilty for doing that on her honeymoon night but she did say she wasn’t up for it but not wanting to ruin it for him.
JJ got in her car thinking about Emily, she had asked last night about her but no one had seen her so she had called Emily’s phone but it was off. Today JJ called a few more times but it was off again and became even more worried JJ left a note to Will letting him know she’ll be back.
JJ drove as quickly as she could to Emily’s apartment. She wondered why Emily would walk out in the middle of her wedding like that, it wasn’t like Emily and she wondered why. JJ knew she was a coward and chose the easy way out and regretted it. Reid’s words sunk in and she realized he knew about JJ’s relationship with Emily so that means he knew something more and he was expecting her to choose Emily.
JJ ran out of her car and inside JJ’s apartment building and up the stairs JJ stopped at Emily’s apartment door and knocked frantically but no one answered. Now that JJ thought about it Morgan gave her the same look and felt dread that they knew that she didn’t.
“EMILY.” JJ shouted, knocking violently at the door feeling more dread.
JJ wiggled the doorknob to find that it turned. Unlocked? JJ thought confused and barged in knowing it wasn’t like Emily to leave her door unlocked. JJ didn’t even think of the potential danger she rushed in the apartment calling out to Emily. JJ ran in the dark apartment looking everywhere.
“EMILY.” JJ called looking from room to room finding no one except an empty apartment it looked as it was abandoned. As if Emily never lived there. JJ’s eyes widened and suddenly felt a wave of nausea at the thought. She felt the air getting knocked out of her lungs.
“No.” JJ gasped and ran into Emily’s closet yanking the door open finding it empty. “Noooooo.” was all that left JJ’s lips sounded like a broken whimper
JJ searched all of Emily’s apartment to find Emily’s belongings gone; nothing was left; it was as if she never even lived there. A broken sob escaped JJs lips at the realization and it all made sense. The phone calls and Emily brushing off the question when Reid asked, Emily being distant towards her, the smile yet JJ knew it was faked the heartbreak that flashed in Emily’s eyes at the reception party when she was dancing with Will and again at the ceremony. Everything hit JJ and she crumbled broken sobs escaping her lips followed by heavy regrets and realization now Reid’s words made sense. JJ fell on Emily’s bed curling herself into a ball crying inconsolably.
“Emily…….I should have chosen you…..now it is too late.” JJ sobbed crying her body shaking with every sob, “I love you Em please come back. What have I done...I choose you Em….” JJ sobbed
She chose Will because she knew she did but her heart was with Emily and JJ knew she was the reason Emily left and she didn’t know when she’ll come back or if she’ll come back. JJ knew she had made a mistake.
JJ laid there for what seemed like hours crying thinking about the what if and how happy she was with Emily and more importantly how she blew it due to her fears. JJ’s phone ran suddenly startling. JJ’s struggled to stop crying, taking deep breaths after a bit handling her emotions. She picked it up hoping it was Emily but her heart sank when it was Will who was calling. She answered and sighed telling him she’ll be right there hanging up. A fresh wave of tears fell curling herself into a ball again ignoring her now husband in favor of laying there crying over the loss and heartbreak she felt at the realization that the woman she loved was gone.
“You didn’t even say goodbye.” JJ whimpered sobbing. JJ grabbed on to the covers sobbing uncontrollably over having lost her best friend and the woman she truly loved. The once warm lively apartment now felt cold and empty the sounds of JJ's sobbing echoing on the eerily silent apartment a constant reminder that Emily is truly gone and JJ now realizing the mistake she made and not able to take back.

Hi hello I just randomly found your ask game and I’d like to give it a shot since it’s been a while since I’ve talked about my OCs and I’m obsessed with other peoples OCs.
I’d like to introduce you to Shouts-Many-Words, aka purple argonian. Shouts is kinda a Demiprince but not really since she has no real mortal parent. She’s more a twisted memory given form. She’s the ‘offspring’ of Sheogorath (my HoK). Shouts is eccentric and insane like her prince, but isn’t as needlessly cruel. She had no self preservation (she will yeet herself off a cliff if there’s something shiny at the bottom) and she love getting herself into trouble bc she knows she can snarky-asskick her way back out. When she’s not doing that, she’s out across Tamriel hunting down ancient relics and lost artefacts for the Dragonborn museum (LotD mod).

same !! i wanted to do that ask game in particular cause i wanted to hear abt other people's oc's, it's always so fun <3 i especially love yours cause oh my god, my girlie alexandria would ADORE her.
alexi as a person is primarily motivated by whatever she finds thrilling or interesting. usually, that translates to being fascinated with magic and history, but most of all, she's interested in people! and who on nirn would be more interesting than a demiprince "child" of sheogorath? she'd latch onto shouts and ask like, a billion questions lol, so i hope shouts doesn't mind being the center of attention cause otherwise alexi would be a bit overwhelming. i think it helps that alexi is a daedra worshipper (mostly hircine and namira, as is common among reachfolk, but she definitely vibes with other daedra like good ol' sheo).
i think shouts and alexi definitely have similar vibes, too! i'm sure shouts is more out there (tm), what with their connection to sheogorath, but alexi was always a notoriously chaotic ass child and she still acts like that as a grown woman. when she was younger, she spent a lot of her time messing with people, especially the guards and wealthier residents of whatever town she was in at the time. things like pulling pranks, or stealing things (from the rich; it's not as fun if there's like genuine harm, ykwim?), or trespassing on some dare, etc. she also is the sort of mage who would do the dumbest shit "for science!" absolutely zero care for lab safety, she's a fkn menace. i think she and shouts would probably enable the worst in each other, but they're both tough as nails so i think they can handle the consequences of just about anything. still, they might need someone more rational to keep them from getting themselves killed lmao
i also like that shouts is someone who hunts down ancient relics, because alexi very much does the same! (fun fact, a beta version of alexi was actually inspired by lara croft, which is why they look so much alike). alexi is very much the eccentric mage type, and so she's always interested in getting her grubby little hands on every cool magical artifact she hears about. i feel like she and shouts would definitely cross paths plenty of times on their adventures throughout skyrim, and they would definitely come out of it with some insane and very funny stories!

I read some people say that liking Tifa is anti-feminist because she's a sexualized character. As a feminist, this notion is very wrong. Female sexuality isn't a bad thing, it will never be. It's something to own and to be proud of. Lara Croft, ChunLi or Bayonetta are sexualized but iconic female characters that inspired many girls over the years. Tifa is sexualized, yes, but also a complex, well written character, who is popular and loved. 1/2...
...When I was little, Tifa inspired me to start boxing lessons. I identified with her cause I was also shy and insecure. I used her to defeat Sephiroth at the final fight and I felt proud of her. A normal girl, who trained her way to the top, defeated a God with just her fists. Her design IS sexualized, but that doesn't make her any less of an inspiration. Her signature feature is not her boobs. Is her resiliance, kindness, loyalty and hard work. That's what her fans really love about her. 2/2

People sexualise her. She's just going about her day, minding her own business, doing her job, wearing clothes she feels comfortable in.
Her physical design is not sexualised. Women have large chests. Women in sports have large chests. Women have hour glass figures. It's not Tifa objectifying herself. It's other people putting their opinions on her. She wasn't designed as a sex object. She was designed as Cloud's ideal woman. Which isn't the same thing and imma also point out that at no point in the game does Cloud treat her as a sexual object, even when she's dressed to impress him. He looks at her face and makes eye contact. He doesn't spend any part of the game staring at her chest.
Yall need to be more like Cloud and respect women better.
I don't look at Tifa and see a sexual object.
I look at Tifa and see someone resilient, brave, kind, strong and decent. The way she looks doesn't matter as much to me as how she presents herself. She's got charm, wit, dignity, she's a great role model. And yeah, she's hella cute and allowed to be cute. But her most important feature is her personality, which is one of the best, most complex female characters in role play gaming and that's why everyone loves her ❤️
People who look at her and only see boobs need their eyes tested.

Rules: List ten of your fave female characters from your ten fave fandoms and then tag 10 other ppl!
This list is by no means comprehensive or a ranked list, as i think all my fave characters are equally bad betches, in their own right xD alright let's get to it!
-Tamari and Lady Tsunade (Naruto/Naruto Shippuden)
Tamari's one of the more cool, levelheaded female side characters in naruto and idk, she's very much Gaara and Kankuro's rock, and idk, i like that. I view her as a very strong female character, and i think she carries a lot of badass masculine energy. Plus she's a badass fighter as well. (((And she's hot but that's beside the point lol))) I like Lady Tsunade a lot, but i admit, i wasnt a fan of her at first. But now that I'm seeing her character unfold in Shippuden, I like her a lot. I like the concept that she's kiind of a grouchy, reluctant leader of the leaf village, cause that makes her seem like a very reliable leader, in a way. I think she's hella underrated as a strong character, tbh. Plus i like that she's a healing ninja, cause it seems so opposite to her outward personality. The more i watch naruto the more i'm really liking more of their female characters, tbh.

oh wow, uh, not gonna lie, i really like this anime more for most of the male characters, but Lucy and Kiyoko have alswas been in my faves list. I didnt really understand Lucy's character in season one but as the plot thickens, so does her issues with wanting to morally become a better person, but still being fairly new to learning to become selfless. I think a lot of people can relate to her because she can be fairly emotionally erratic, and she struggles with the whole "forgiveness thing." But later on you see that all she really wanted was a true family and friends that value her. And i think that's something we all want, deep down. Also, her powers are highly unnderrated and badass and i love how she is slowly becoming a protector for ppl like Atsushi, which really shows her growth as a character.
I also put Kiyoko on this list because i think she is equally as good of a female character as Lucy is, but for dif reasons. I loveeee the whole concept of "initially bad" characters soon wanting to become good. There's a simplicity in her character that i think models Atsushi's in a way, i mean they're both damaged, but both yearn to do good and make a comeback with the chances they've been given in life. If Lucy was a Tarot Card she would be the Fool. I also love how steadfast she is in her newfound family and how much she believes in everyone in the ADA now. It's very wholesome and pure :3 also i love her and Atsushi's relationship, it kinda reminds me of me and my BFF's ride or die relationship, lol.

Kiyoko: "I saw a bright world. I cannot go back to a time when I didn't know such a thing existed."

Ugh, there's so many things about this character that I have always loved and adored. Her character design, her quiet whimsical weirdness. Her determined loyalty to the people that accept her. Her lovely simple wisdom, at times. Like Harry said, Luna is just "...coooll." She kinda reminds me of me when I was a teenager but way cooler lol.

Laura is....a simple character by design. If anything, the plotlines and video game design of the Tomb Raider franchise are way more intricate. And yeah...there's her misogynistic character design (Note: the impossibly snatched waist and bOoBiEs in earlier games.)
BUT. I still stan her for a multitude of reasons. Growing up, there were may more princess characters than female warrior characters and ya know, I'm really glad I was exposed to Lara Croft movies and the Tomb Raider: Legend video games as a kid. I think Laura taught me that you can definitely embrace your feminine side and still be a badass and follow your dreams. Even now, after me finally figuring out i'm not cis, i know, that she's still an icon for most kids out there. And for me too. She was a symbol of bravery, intelligence, as well as still being a character of emotional depth, grieving the loss of her parents while vowing to continue to do what she loved, which is exploring. Cultural and moral problems with her character aside, i still find both her and her stories very inspirational, both as a bigender queer person, and as a designer.

Oh wow, i could go on for days about how much i love thus character. If you're queer or fun in any capacity you've probably watched the final season fo She-Ra by now and spoilers aside, i just love the journey this character went on from start to finish. Scorpia is so genuine and nice, and sometimes that puts her in situations where she has to make hard decisions. And idk, those decisions just made that character so much better for me. On a lighter note, Scorpia is great queer rep, especially for butch lesbians, lesbians, trans ppl, androg ppl, and gender nonconforming ppl. She's always said things that have resonated with me as a queer person and aside from that, she's a very excitable and fun character. She just excudes so much curiosity and joy that you really can't help but like her, lol.
Scorpia: "I am brave, strong, loyal, and i give great hugs!"
-Sypha (Castlevania)
Altho I personally don't view Sypha as a cis woman, (I see her as nonbinary or agender), I think the way characters treat her in the show is indicative that in that period, they view her as a woman. So i figured I could put her on this list as well lol. Anyways, uhhh wow, Sypha is great, there's so much I love about her that it's hard to put into words. I love that she regards herself as a "scholar" of magic, but still views herself as a heretic, I just find it pretty funny and very sexy of her lol. Aside from that, I think Sypha is a great character who always seeks out logic where there usually ends up being none. I love her cheeky remarks to both Alucard and Trevor, and I love her can-do attitude. At the end of the day, she's one of those characters you love just for her great energy she carries for herself within the show. There's really no rhyme or reason to her, she just, is. She subverts many female mage character tropes as well, being a natural badass. Also her god jokes are so damn funny.
Sypha: "See?? God hates me!?
-Aunt Sarah (Derry Girls)
Okay first of all, if you havent seen Derry girls, pleaseeee watch it, holy shit it's the funniest show i've seen in a longass time. Second of all, my friend and I are still going thru the show, but Ajnt Sarah has started to become one of my favorite characters. She's one of those very aloof characters that you kinda ignore at first but then her character just has these amazing one liners and she really grows on you. Also she is very caring about her family and she's cute as hell???? I'm sorry but like her aesthetic is just on fuckin point, like??? Go off babe?? Anyways yeah she's cute.
No quotes for her since that might ruin some of the better punchlines if you end up watching the show lol.
-Marga (Cable Girls)
Yeah, if you want a really good 1920's drama that focuses on women, go give Cable Girls a try! It is very poetic in its direction lol. Anyways, Marga is one of the "new girls" at the beginning of the show and she is just, so earnest, and genuine, and pure. And I love her. She's very nice to the other girls working and she's got some great one liners. She's that timid, cute character that slowy comes out of her shell throughout the show lol.
-Kiki and Sheeta (Studio Ghibli)
I loveee Studio Ghibli films, and one of my two fave films of Miyazaki are Kiki's Delivery Service and my ultimate fave, Castle in the Sky. I adore Kiki as a character because she is your quintessential cute witch, and her journey with finding and grasping her full powers are very relevant to me, and my journey with upholding my creativity as a designer. As well as being a great movie with a great lessom for all artists, Kiki is a very passionate and genuine character, who's resilency has inspired me in hard times. I love her relationship that she has with other ppl as nd creatures, especially with her cat Gigi. She's cute, i love her lots.
Sheeta, I love for different reasons. Sheeta is one of those rare instances where a quiet protagonist, really works. I love her calm and humble, yet powerful energy surrounding her. I love her background, and how there has always beem magic inside of her, even if she's not a practicing witch. She is so very humble and a very introspective character. There's not a lot of female protagonists quite like her. Plus she's adorable as well, lol.
-Aunt Hilda, Zelda, Prudence, and Lilith (CHAOS)
I'm not gonna get into super specifics since i love all these characters equally, but I will say that all these characters absolutely MADE this series for me. I personally found Sabrina's character very annoying and slightly egotistical (i mean she's allowed to be i suppose,lol) but these characters were just so much fun!
I love Aunt Hilda for her soft personality and great revenge comebacks. I love Prudence for her aesthetic, character design, and amazing characrer development throughout the series. I love Lilith, for being both a BAMF and. MILF, lolz. And finally, i absolutely adore Zelda's character, for being so poised, calculating, blunt, and yet so very badass and loveable xD I love everything about her character, tbh.
There's so many good quotes from each character, so just watch the show, lol.
Andddd i think that's it! Sorry this was super long, I wanted to state my reasoms for why these characters were on the list, lol. Hope you liked some of my character analysis, feel free to screech with me about shows anytime lol. I'd love more good show recs!

Age you started gaming? Since I was a baby, probably 5 years old.
Hardest video game you’ve played? So far the Last of Us part 2 is being really hard. And I died a million times in Shadow of the Tomb Raider. Resident Evil 2 had its hard parts and Dead Space 2 scarred me for life.
Video game you’ve spent the most time on? Maybe Dragon Age Inquisition, Mass Effect 3 and Red Dead 2. And I also replayed TLOU many, many times.
Most embarrassing gaming moment? Me taking forever solving the silly puzzles in Uncharted the Lost Legacy. Even Nadine was like “YOU´RE DOING THE SAME THING TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT”.
Scariest video game you’ve played? It’s a tie between Dead Space 2, Resident Evil 2 and TLOU 2.
Most memorable gaming moment? Defeating the Reapers in Mass Effect 3. Stupid shrimp like bastards. BONUS: When you finish TLOU and Ellie says “Okay” but NOTHING IS OK.
Video game character you wish you could meet in real life? Lara Croft J
PC, Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo? Playstation.
Gaming company you’re most loyal to? Bioware? L
If you could only play one video game for the rest of your life, which would you choose? It’s either Red Dead 2 aaaand maybe Dragon Age inquisition. I could have a lifetime of different inquisitors.
Do you use strategy guides? Only if I’m stuck.
How often do you use cheats? Not very often anymore.
Competitive or single player? Single Player always.
Video game character you want to/have cosplayed? Cosplay is not my thing lol.

Hardest boss fight you’ve been in? The Uberthing monster in Dead Space that can´t die and just follows you T__T
Video game you wish you could burn from your memory? None? I love them all?
Favorite gaming series? Mass Effect
Do you skip tutorials, or find them useful? Slightly useful.
Best online gaming experience? Playing Resident Evil 5 with my bby @miauneko :3
Worst online gaming experience? Any interaction in FIFA.
Why do you game? … Because it distracts me, entertains me. For example there is nothing like playing a videogame about a deadly disease/fungus in a post apocalyptic world to forget about the current events in real life involving a deadly disease that spreads so easily. No really, it does help xD.

A Random Opinion On Nothing Important
I saw some people playing the Jumanji The Video Game on YT and was disappointed. I mean, yeah, to be expected as it’s a movie tie-in game, but there were so many directions they could’ve gone with it to make it actually cool.
Anyway, here are my thoughts on “How Jumanji The Video Game Should’ve Been”:
Story/Set Up:
Set after the movies to give us a new adventure
Goal is to find some new kind of treasure/jewel/relic of Jumanji and stop Van Pelt or Jurgen or someone new
Get to choose between being Dr. Bravestone or Ruby Roundhouse (being they’re the two fighters)
Jefferson can fight, but he’s not known for it, so relegated to backup
Other option is you can choose any character but are automatically assigned to Dr. Bravestone during a boss battle, and you’d need to find another way to deal with enemies as either Shelly or Mouse
RPG/Action Game along the lines of Tomb Raider (originals)/Kingdom Hearts/Persona/Star Ocean
and like newer TR in terms of graphics
Mechanics:
Semi-Open World
ex: 4 levels within a jungle/desert/mountains/temple with those areas separate; the jungle levels are all connected through open world, as are the ones for desert, mountains, and temples
To see a map of the area you interact with Shelly, to open the inventory you interact with Mouse
or if playing as Shelly or Mouse you can just open a special menu for them
Ability to pick responses to NPCs
Levels are mostly puzzles and a few enemy attacks
Levels are designed much like Tomb Raider, with hidden paths built into the environment, allowing you to jump and climb and swing around the area, lever and block puzzles, etc.
Medipacks and other items are hidden in the area
enemies are scattered throughout
boss battle at end of some levels
Booby-traps like darts, spike pits under unstable floors,
Towns allow you to buy medipacks/weapon and armor upgrades/items that give various buffs
During a battle Dr. Bravestone and Ruby Roundhouse and Jefferson do the fighting; Shelly and Mouse provide backup—Shelly and Mouse can use various items from Mouse’s bag to give support (like healers/wizards)
The NPC Avatars will only fight/heal/whatever if the player engages with an enemy first
One of the side quests is to find a plane, and then Jefferson is able to transport the player to previous levels/towns in an area
“Battles” are not in separate “screens” or blocked off, you can avoid or run from some of them, unless it’s a boss battle
Could also include short levels of: jeep driving, flying a plane as Jefferson, and river rapids to get through a level while avoiding pits/enemies
OPTIONAL: ability to build relationships with the other characters so you get some fun bonus endings depending on who you built the best relationship with
Basically it should’ve been more Tomb Raider and less Fortnight, especially considering the inspiration for Ruby is clearly Lara Croft, so...yeah, missed opportunity. And that’s what my brain’s been focusing on today for some reason, lol.
