how unserious would it be if I made a hilson edit to you’ll be back from hamilton. because on one hand it’s the right level of ridiculous that matches most of their scenes & also encapsulates a certain level of authentic toxicity. on the other hand it’s fucking. from hamilton

Buck & Eddie: Buck had already found "happiness" before he started searching for it!
The shades of baby blue he wore in S6 illustrates it perfectly.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the beginning of 6A, I noticed several things about Buck’s clothes including his "looking for ANSWERS uniform" (linked here) and all the "ugly" and "ill fitting" clothes (linked here) he wore during the season. But I also noticed the difference in the vibrancy of the shades of baby blue he wore and it perplexed me but I didn't analyze it because of the way Season 6 ended🙄.
However, last week, while I was searching for scenes in S6 that showed him wearing his "looking for ANSWERS uniform" along with some of the "ill fitting clothes" he wore, I remembered the differences in the shades of baby blue he sported throughout the season and after I finally analyzed it, I developed a theory regarding what it meant and his clothes validated it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the end of Season 5, Buck wore a vibrant baby blue suit to Hen and Karen's vow renewal ceremony and that color would be the staple for his journey in Season 6. The shades of baby blue he wore throughout the season were very LOUD and they spoke volumes about all the things he wasn't verbally saying. Everyone knows he had a lot of questions about his life including him wanting to be interim captain, his relationships, his search for happiness, him being a sperm donor and him wanting to be a father but the problem was (and still is since he's still looking for the answers) Buck had already found happiness with Eddie and Chris and the vibrant shades of baby blue he wore in 6x1, 6x2 and 6x13 tell the story while the muted shades he wore in 6x7, 6x8, 6x9 and 6x12 illustrated how he was unsure about the decisions he made or was making.
Before I get started, I want to remind everyone about the way Buck spent the majority of the season "not talking" to the people he should have been talking to (his found family) but his clothes represented how the things he wasn't saying were still being said except it wasn't verbal. His clothes told his story or better yet, how he felt about his decisions.
In 6x1, Buck was cooking for his family, Eddie and Chris and while he was, him and Chris were wearing the same color shirts, i.e., blue, gray and white. Buck’s blue shirt was vibrant and it was in between light and dark (reminder the Diaz family color is navy-blue). It's like the show was saying, HEY BUCK, HERE'S YOUR HAPPINESS SITTING RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU AND THEY HAVE A COUCH WHICH IS YOUR COUCH TOO! But he didn't get it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was already HAPPY and he was literally cooking a meal for his husband and son.
But in 6x2, he started his search for happiness after he met Lev at the Happiness Convention and the color baby blue he wore started to get lighter and the more he wore it, the more muted it became.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In 6x7, the universe was SCREAMING at Buck and tried to STOP him from donating but he wouldn't listen and the muted color of his baby blue shirt illustrated it wasn't the right decision for him. Also, that shirt was too little and it was ill fitting.
Tumblr media
In 6x8, Buck was proud of himself even though the muted color of his baby blue shirt proved he was unsure about his decision. He went to the Renaissance Fair with Hen and Denny but even though he's good friends with her, it was jarring for him to be there with them when her best friend is Chimney and he could have taken Jee-Yun with them. Reminder, Buck was there shopping for Jee-Yun anyway so Chimney could have gone. Also, IIRC, prior to that episode, Buck had only been shown spending time with Hen and Denny in 3x10 while they were at Eddie’s and he was making gingerbread houses with Chris and Denny.
Buck should have been with Eddie and Chris helping Chris get ready for his first dance. The way it was framed, it seemed like he wasn't where he was supposed to be.
Tumblr media
In 6x9, he wore another dull baby blue shirt when he was on a four-way call with Hen, Chimney and Eddie. It was the call when he said he was the official creator of new life but the muted color of his shirt illustrated there's a different narrative. It showed he wasn't sure but he was forcing happiness again by trying to be part of a family (Connor's and Kameron's) when he was already happy several episodes earlier with Eddie and Chris.
Tumblr media
In 6x12, Buck wore another dull baby blue shirt when he went to his appointment with Dr. Salazar. After he was struck by lightning, he was unsure about EVERYTHING and he admitted to Eddie that he didn't know what he was feeling when he went home... I mean when he fell asleep on his family's couch... I mean when went to the only place he could rest (Eddie’s).
Tumblr media
The last time Buck wore baby blue in season 6 was in 6x13 when he was WITH HIS OWN FAMILY. His shirt was vibrant and bright and he was with Eddie and Chris when he wore it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Reminder, this is the episode when he looked at Eddie after he said "I'm the guy with the answers, I kind of like it". Eddie and Chris are the answers!
Tumblr media
Bonus: more proof Buck was trying to force happiness and his clothes illustrated it perfectly!
In 6x10, he wore a too little outfit when he went to pick up Margaret and Phillip from the airport. His muscles are literally bulging in those ankle beaters. It looks like he was trying to FORCE himself into a family that he doesn't belong in (look at the framing in the second photo to see how Buck’s in the background while all the other Buckleys are in the forefront. It's like he's in the dark about another family secret 👀).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His clothes were also too little in 6x4 when he went to ask Hen about being Connor's sperm donor. They were mismatched and his pants were ankle beaters. His shirt was black with tan trimming but his pants were a wine color and he was wearing his white hightops.
Tumblr media
Here's proof that shows Buck did NOT dress like this before season 6. His clothes always fit and they weren't too small or mismatched.
In 4x7, he was dressed like he always did in custom fitted clothes.
Tumblr media
In 4x3, his clothes fit perfectly (and so did Eddie’s jeans🤪😜).
Tumblr media
In 5x14, he was NOT wearing ankle beaters. His clothes were once again custom fitted and who was he with? His family, Eddie and Chris.
Tumblr media
If the show isn't trying to insinuate that Buck, Eddie and Chris are already a FAMILY and that Buck already found HAPPINESS, then the question remains, what is happening with Buck’s clothes?

wait wait wait Buck really said "I don't think I've ever been happier to see this place " about loft after he came from hospital in 6x11. Not "Home sweet home" or "finally home" or "so happy to be at home". NO he cals his apartment PLACE. Something something loft is not his home it's just place he sleep in. And something something Buck was called by Ali a"perpetual roommate. even in his own place" (again place not home). So loft never was and never would be Buck's home for life. It's just safe place for him for now
But even the "safe place" wasn't always there. In 4s he lost it when Albert lived with him (and before it he lived there with 3 his friends) so he spend more time with Diazes, then Taylor lived with him and in 5x18 he spend time anywhere but not there(not actually anywhere but at work and at Diaz house), then 6x12 - he needs time to recover in peace but people come to him constantly and he runs to Diaz house again
So loft is not Buck's home, at least not when he's alone or with people there (not Diaz boys), and when he needs to run away from this he goes to Diaz house. But not just to Diaz house, but to his boys. Because 911 made a point home is people, and Buck's home is Eddie and Chris and with them even loft can be home (3x9, 6x1 and 6x13 examples)
Maybe buddie is not canon (and i really say big YET) but Buckley-Diaz family is canon. It was and it always will be

Unpopular opinion? They put too much in the rookie 6x2. Oscar suing John. Skip tracer Randy. They accidentally pawn the ring (how do you accidentally sell a ring for $1,000??) so chenford has to get it back. John's son is having trouble making it to town for the wedding so Bailey has to deal with that. Their wedding planner says they need more for the wedding because the venue is bigger and nicer than their house so they have to do the flowers and fix the cake because John is allergic to coconut so that's the bachelor/bachelorette party and Nyla tells Celina she can't be Aaron's only support system and Tim fights the hammer for the ring. And the lie detector thing. And the drug flower pots. And then Celina and the guy get taken. And that gets resolved 5 minutes later (I thought that would be an exciting cliffhanger into the next episode) and all of that in 42 MINUTES! I didn't even follow what Oscar is suing John about. I wanted Chenford to have a conversation. Celina getting kidnapped could have been a great cliffhanger for episode 3. Some of the scenes were so short! Give stuff time to breathe! I get that it's the 100th episode but I *think* it would work better if they crammed less in and focused on making fewer storylines really good. I liked 6x1 a lot. Not tons of plots, but each plot was more developed. Each plot had more time. That episode felt faster to me than this one. Ep 2 I was like there's so much going on what is happening. Maybe cause it's a shorter season so they really want to fit as much into each episode as possible? I did love the back and forth during the flower/cake thing of Lucy and Tim each talking from their perspective.

I mean, keep in mind, if we all had that level of money and the time to focus on that only, we might all look like models too lol. And it’s social media! We don’t know what’s going on at their houses.
Yeah, if I didn’t have a 6x1/8 hours a day job, university, my own apartment to maintain, and a needy dog - I’d be at the gym every day instead of 3x a week, go to the spa all the time and all that kind of stuff. I’d look more gorgeous than I already am.
Plus, any man, not only a footballer ffs, would be fucking lucky to have a woman like me.

Whitechapel series 3 press pack
WHITECHAPEL GOES TO SERIES
6x1 hour 3x2 part stories
Whitechapel, written by Ben Court and Caroline Ip, is produced by Carnival Films for ITV 1 and stars Rupert Penry-Jones, Phil Davis and Steve Pemberton.  Other cast members include Ben Bishop, Claire Rushbrook, Sam Stockman and new team member Hannah Walters who plays DC Megan Riley.
Producer, David Boulter (He Kills Coppers) says; "Whitechapel is back, bigger and bolder than before.  Gruesome present day investigations summon the ghosts of the past, screaming and restless.  Chandler’s team must decipher their historic relevance, but history can be unreliable: convincing and confusing in equal measure. These new Whitechapel stories are dark, compelling and full of surprises."
Chandler and his new unit are still based in Whitechapel nick but as before feel slightly removed from the prosaic and mundane day to day, run of the mill policing.  They have rescued a huge crime archive, a vast but chaotic collection of files and papers beneath the incident room.  Buchan begins eagerly sorting this treasure trove of primary sources.  When a new case lands on the team’s desk and the race is on to find the killer, Miles is cynical about Buchan’s value to the team, but Chandler is convinced that history holds clues.  This is where the nightmares of the past help solve the horrors of the present.
Whitechapel remains a dark and scary place, laden with villainy and foreboding.  The series will take us through three hundred years of history, peeling back the layers of the East End.  There will be Gothic shadows, cobblestones and ancient hostelries, fear in the Huguenot weaving houses of Wilkes Street, and terrifying discoveries in the dark corners and rooftops around Brick Lane. With tinges of black comedy the series is heady, visceral and terrifying.  In Whitechapel, history isn’t dead, it’s deadly.
Executive Producer, Sally Woodward Gentle says: “I am delighted we are getting the chance to tell brand new Whitechapel stories but this time as a series.  The East End of London is steeped in history, secrets and gore and we now have the opportunity to take Chandler, Miles and Buchan to places darker still.  If you thought the Ripper and Krays were scary, just wait.”
Laura Mackie, Director of Drama, ITV says: “Whitechapel is a striking and distinctive crime drama that has struck a real chord with the ITV 1 audience. The longer run will allow us to tell an even richer range of stories from the Whitechapel area”

Buck & Eddie: In 6x13... no one in The Buckley-Diaz Family sat on Buck’s couch
Tumblr media
In 6x13 “Mixed Feelings” not only did Buck, Eddie and Chris stay in the kitchen area of Buck’s loft, they DID NOT sit on the couch and as a matter of fact, the camera angles remained focused on the kitchen while no other part of Buck’s loft was shown.  I noticed this while I was live blogging Monday night, I made a brief post about it and after further review of the episode, I realized Buck’s couch wasn’t shown at all in 6x13.  It was interesting especially since his living room area has been shown several times throughout season 6.
6x1 “Let the Games Begin”
Tumblr media
While Buck was cooking dinner and talking to Eddie about Bobby not choosing either of them to be interim captain, Chris said, “Buck, you don’t even have a couch” and the camera panned towards Buck’s living room to show the empty space where his black leather couch previously sat.
6x4 “Animal Instincts”
Tumblr media
His living room was shown when he told Connor and Kameron he would be their sperm donor and it was also shown earlier during the episode when Connor showed up to tell him he didn’t have to do it even though it was clear he wanted him to.
6x8 “9-1-1 What’s Your Fantasy?”
Tumblr media
There were several clear shots of Buck’s living room when Maddie and Chimney took Jee-Yun over there so Buck could babysit her for them while they went house hunting.
6x11 “In Another Life”
Tumblr media
After Buck was discharged from the hospital, his mother insisted she was going to buy him a couch.  She did but it wasn’t shown in his loft until 6x12 “Recovery”.
6x12 “Recovery”
Tumblr media
Buck couldn’t get comfortable on his new couch and people wouldn’t stop coming to his loft unannounced.  The couch his mother purchased was never shown up close and even when he was lying on it, it could barely be seen. Up to that point, every time Buck’s living room was shown, no couch was included.
Tumblr media
Buck went to Eddie’s and after he sat down on their Eddie’s couch, he immediately fell asleep.
Tumblr media
Eddie let Buck sleep and after he woke up, he went into the kitchen to talk to Eddie.
Tumblr media
Eddie asked Buck if he wanted a beer but Buck said he’d rather have some water (related post linked here).  Even after Buck sat down at the kitchen table, their Eddie’s couch could still be seen.  Reminder, Eddie’s kitchen has a door that’s been closed before by his ex-girlfriend after he broke up with her so it was a CHOICE to keep the door open so the couch could be seen.
6x13 “Mixed Feelings”
Tumblr media
While Eddie and Chris were in Buck’s loft with him, the camera angles REMAINED focused on the kitchen and the dinning room table where they were sitting.  Buck’s new couch was never shown even though it could be seen several times in 6x12 while Hen was visiting him and they sat at the table eating the pot roast Maddie made for his lunch.
Tumblr media
At the end of the episode, while Buck and Chris were preparing to bake cookies, the camera REMAINED focused on the kitchen area again and it didn’t show Buck’s couch.
Tumblr media
Eddie and Chris sat on Buck’s couch with him in 3x9 “Fallout”, Chris sat on it in 3x1 “Kids Today” and he sat on it again in 4x8 “Breaking Point”, therefore it was a CHOICE to keep the camera angles focused on the kitchen area while they were there in 6x13.
It’s certainly possible this could be a coincidence but that’s very unlikely especially since both Athena and Karen have mentioned in CANON the lack of belief in coincidences.  Also, the camera angles were PURPOSEFULLY positioned to stay focused on Buck, Eddie and Chris at the beginning of the episode even though it could have been placed in the kitchen like it was in 6x4, 6x8 and 6x12 to show Buck’s living room but it wasn’t.
Both the showrunner and OS have mentioned in separate interviews Buck’s new couch will meet an unlikely end sometime before the end of the season so it remains to be seen what will happen to it.  Since it wasn’t shown at all while Buck, Eddie and Chris were there, it further illustrates the couch metaphor and how it relates to Buck finding his couch/relationship at Eddie’s house.
Will he find his couch before the end of season 6?  Only the showrunner(s), writers and producers know the answer to that question.

beer representation in buddie?
Hi👋
Well, yes beer means a lot for buddie. We see this drink a lot through the seasons. First mention of beer of in 2x6, when Buck and Eddie (with Chim) helped Maddie to move. We hadn't seen them drink it, but it was at least 1st moment we know they were doing something outside of fire house while drinking beer. Then in 2s we never see it again, but it can easily be explained because Buck and Eddie were only creating their friendship and well they spend enough time with their gf/wife. Then in 3s we saw beer in at least episodes 9(in famous kitchen scene), 11(bar at Chim's birthday), 12(Eddie talking about Chris and skateboard). We see them drinking beer together (but it not always the same brend like in 3x11). I don't remember episodes with beer in 4s, but in 5s the balcony scene in episode 4, in 6s episodes so far 1, 12, 13. And since 6x1 we can see the brend "genuine". In 6x12 we see the beer at Eddie's fridge and he drinks alone(more about it here). They made sure we see it's the same brend in every episode they show it. So I believe the beer is a metaphor to their friendship. We see this detail through the seasons, it's always here. That's why I believe the thing that Buck doesn't drink with Eddie means something.
911 loves details and never use them for nothing
