Quick post--so i have a small headcanon

So the smiling critters toys' tails can be pulled to release their scent, right? And catnap's bigger bodies version (monster) can breathe the red smoke. He can also make the player fall into a dream sequence with that bad breath. So what if the other bigger bodies of the smiling critters also have the ability to breathe smoke like catnap? And they can also trap them in a nightmare/dream sequence like what catnap does to the player. Except theirs is weaker when it comes to making people sleep thom

"But what about Dawgday tho? " oh that's easy to answer. Since we've seen him beaten up, it is possible that his smoke thingy inside him broke. So he cant release any gas anymore.

AAAAA this hc seems wonky.... Does this make any sense? Its nighttime anyway, but im postin this shit out of my head cuz i cant stop thinking about how robbed we are of the smiling critters😭😭

But if all of them were alive, then that would make ch 3 even more terrifying and would take a long time to beat. But i still wish we could see all of them together like in a cartoon series cuz i need more of these critters together, doing random ass shit out of nowhere and solving it with the power of friendship

that getting older makes you feel.

time moves so slow when youre young,

it feels like all the time in the world is at your fingertips.

at five you discover chalk,

and you paint the universe on the front driveway.

seven is when you discover glitter,

and it looks like the stars you spend every night dreaming of and who cares if it ends up all over,

you are swimming in the milky way and have never been happier.

you meet your best friend at eight,

and you spend every day at lunch running faster than youve ever run before because you got new shoes for your birthday.

when you reach ten you discover what vanilla smells like,

the kind momma uses when she's baking and you want to be just like her when you grow up.

then you turn twelve and want to be twenty

and adults dont play in the mud so you dont either.

suddenly youre fifteen and want to be thirty

so at recess you sit and study because adults dont play hide and seek.

sixteen, sweet sixteen you stop watching for birds,

adults are too busy for that and you're almost there.

seventeen passes in a blur,

most of the days spent preparing for a life outside your hometown.

eighteen,

its time to grow up.

nineteen.

twenty.

twenty one,

yay, what now?

suddenly youre thirty,

grieving all the pieces of you that you didnt even know you left behind.

thirty one,

you saw a bird today, it was a shade of blue you dont remember the name of but it was the same color as a fish in a story book no one else seems to know but you.

thirty two,

you ran out in the rain and laughed, feeling it soak you in seconds because who gives a shit if you dont have an umbrella, it would have blocked the rainbow after the storm that stretched across the sky as vibrant as you remember the world once being.

DOGDAY

• He loves how soft you are, when you're lying down he sometimes puts his face in your fur.

• He thinks you are very adorable and likes to touch your ears.

• He likes to call you "little sheep"

CATNAP

• When he is alone with you he likes to knead your wool, he usually doesn't do it in public as he is especially embarrassed by Dogday, Kickin and Bobby.

• Sometimes he sleeps on top of you (if you are smaller than him, you will have to hold on because he won't stop insisting until he is lying on top of you)

• He doesn't admit it but he really likes your wool, there is something about that he thinks is very cute.

• Hugs you 24/7

• she loves how soft you are and she likes to play with your wool

• If she hears the slightest sheep sound coming out of your mouth, she looks at you for a few seconds with adoration.

• she thinks you are very adorable, sometimes she touches your ears

• Sometimes she imagine yourself without wool and you are looking at her confused while she laughs.

• For Christmas, she decorates you like a Christmas tree (and yes, she put a star on top of you).

CRAFTYCORN

• she likes to paint your wool for some reason (with non-permanent paint)

• she likes to rest her head on your wool when she is tired.

• For Valentine's Day she wraps your wool with red ribbon (NOT IN A WEIRD WAY👺 I KNOW ENOUGH THE PEOPLE FROM THE INTERNET)

PICKYPIGGY

• she doesn't care much, as long as she eats😽

• She likes to snuggle into your wool while she eats.

• Very indifferent about it.

BUBBA BUBAPHANT

• Just like Pickypiggy, he doesn't care much.

• When it's summer he forces you to cut your wool.

• Kickin and Hoppy are in the background dying of laughter and Bubba tells them not to laugh while you are sitting in the background like "why do I still exist..." without your wool.

I couldn't think of much to be honest, there aren't many changes no matter what animal you are😿 I MEAN, YES THERE ARE BUT NOT THAT MANY TO MAKE THIS MORE LONG.

Have been a time since i had made a full post for the cartoon critters, so time to give them some love

I present to you... The Smiling Critters's Family Tree

1- Dogday & Catnap - Queen Gaia

''Everybody call her your highness, but for us, mom is just mom''

Her introduction in the cartoon is a surprise for everybody, since nobody knew Catnap & Dogday were actually sibling (even when the two refer to the other as brother, they thought it was a best friend thing), even less knew they were princes! Queen Gaia is a calm, motherly figure, but after lost her husband in a war with another kingdom, she decide to hide her two babies from the public, and when they became old enough to have a pendant, let them live with their people in hope to teach them to overcome their weakness (arrogance in Catnap and cowardice in Dogday). Her original pendant was able to move both the sun and the moon, but she divide it to let her sons the responsability (the one she have now is a fake one, something important for the season finale of the cartoon)

2-Picky & Kickin - Mr. Piggy

''Our dad is the best!'' ''No comparation needed!''

Mr. Piggy isn't a recurrent character in the cartoon, making his debut in Kickin's birthday just to tell the story of how he found a egg with legs running around his farm (all the episode is basically a retell of the poor pigman trying to catch the egg while also having her daughter in his back). He's a good apple, loving dad that enjoy spend time with his kids, been cooking something with Picky (he teach her about healthy ingredients) or going fishing with Kickin (is the only calm activity Kickin can do without get bored). The Apple pendant was originally his, while the star pendant was found by the own Kickin.

3- Bubba - Mr. and Mrs Tiny

''I'm just... A tiny Bubbaphant''

The stork made a mistake, and Bubba end up with two parents that only shared with him the big ears, but not for this the Tiny couple stop loving their son, nor Bubba stop looking at his parents as the best he could have. Their debut is subtle, and they don't have a lot of relevance in the cartoon, but is funny to see them from time to time over Bubba's head in a event.

4- Bobby - The Bearhug Family

''Don't worry! They don't bite, i teach them not to''

Yep, Bobby come from a ''wild'' family. Their debut episode talk about the differences between a ''critter'' and a ''wild'' (basically, any real animal is a wild in this cartoon), been the whole episode a explication of how Bobby become the critter she's now (and how she got her pendant).

5-Hoppy - The Hopscotch sibling

''We're a team! A team that hops together stay together!''

There's no a debut of Hoppy's parents, but it's implied that they're still alive, just really busy. Meanwhile, her sibling show up from time to time, been as background characters, or with their our episode, been two: one where Hoppy is wants to participate in a sibling deportive event and can't find the perfect harmony with any of her sibling ('cause none of them are as sporty as her), and one where she need to babysit Huppy, but the lil' troublemaker end up causing troubles for all the critters. In the sibling event it explain that Hoppy got her pendant from her big sister, 'cause she wasn't able to control the power like it was suppose to.

6-Craftycorn - King Canvas

''I... had never been enough for him...''

No showing his full design yet, but only leaving something clear: he's a villain, having his debut in the season finale, but there's mentions of him around all the cartoon, incluying the implication of him killing Queen Gaia's husband. Craftycorn isn't a big fan of her dad.

I absolutely love Star Trek's sci-fi nonsense and diplomatic missions but my favourite episodes have to be the ones where they're not in the correct genre.

Things like going to the wild west, playing baseball, getting forced into a small child's fanfiction of a bedtime story, a twink with an accent acting like James Bond, an android and his pal becoming Holmes and Watson. Oh also nerds writing oc fanfiction and pretending it's a movie.

Also the time-travel episodes. Like when DS9 fucked around during the Tribble episode on TOS. Or when Spock and Kirk ran away from cops in the 1930's. Or when 3 fuckers get transported to Roswell.

It's fun. It's funky. It has the potential to be very goofy. Also seeing a bunch of scientists and diplomats being forced to play weird hopscotch is way too fun of a concept not to love.
