What are your general thoughts on Homestuck? Would you recommend it to someone else?

I like it and I have a lot of nostalgia about it but I’m not super interested in the post canon stuff. My favorite character is Eridan and no, I don’t think he’s a good person, I like his story arc (and fashion sense)

I would only recommend it to people who are desperate for something to consume their life for a couple months while they intake the massive amount of Homestuck content (I haven’t even gotten through all of the Homestuck content and I probably never will) and then after that have brain worms the rest of their life

I feel like a better description of my thoughts on Homestuck is this photo of my Eridan ita bag with the giant wall decal of Eridan that was at the Homestuck cafe 😂 his character design is so good and I kept buying merch of him, before I knew it I had an ita bag’s worth of stuff. I also have a lot of Rose stuff too

So I went to an event yesterday and everyone got to know me as “the ayato simp” or “the troll [I cosplayed Meulin from Homestuck] that likes ayato” “look, here’s a real diabolik lovers fan”

They’d see my phone case and strap and be like “oh diabolik lovers!” and I could see their concern get bigger as I turned to show my ita bag, showed my phone wallpapers, shrine and tattoo. It was a “oh wow…. Oh…o-oh…. woooow……”
