I decided to make references for all of Hackbents Consorts!
I work on the comic and we never actually had references for them besides the basic Sprite Mode images and maybe some concept artwork and I wanted to change that moving forwards to just help quicken the work pace
Also having these references could help with fanart!
You can really tell where I joined the team because of how the Axolotls have different color pallets for different scenes, Id love to make more for more consorts!

If you were explaining the lore of homestuck to me and told me that each of the kid’s planets was populated by a species of goofy silly creatures that have a little society on the planet and you can talk to them and trade with them like Minecraft villlagers, but that each of the kid’s planet was populated by a different eldritch god steeped in mythology that ruled the planet and that served as your nemesis/rival that you would have to fight to win sburb, and you had me guess which of these things are called “consorts” and which of these things are called “denizens”, I would guess wrong

Here he is! I meant to post him yesterday but I was working.
This is Nick Strider! He enjoys chewing on just about anything he can get his hands on. he stims by doing flappy arms, t-rex arms are common too. he’s a little oblivious, blunt and he’s typically very excited about things. when he’s overwhelmed by any emotion he’ll start saying “nak”. he wears the red tail because he’s obsessed with scalemates and alligators/crocodiles! people usually mistake his symbol for a health potion but it’s actually supposed to be bubbling soup. the boi is a prospit dreamer and a page of blood. he tries so hard to be friends with people but because he’s got the tisim he struggles and people think he’s weird. Nick is also 13.
his mom dropped him off with a mystery sibling I’ll post later named Dion Strider. (a stridersona my bf made since he’s very dirk esk lol)

The underwater city of Atlantica (Named after the famous human legend) in earth c. The city is one of the three underwater cities of the planet, being this one the first and bigger of them, you could consider it a capital.
The citizens live in floating houses, that are chained to the ground so they don't float away.
These houses lack doors, and different windows can serve as a door. All windows share the same key, except for building with more than one residence.
The seadwellers of Atlantica have adapted their ancestrors of Alternian's design choices, and these houses are conformed by a series of lumps.
Now, these cities are populated by two types of races, trolls, seadwellers, and aquatic consorts, descendants of consorts who have adapted to earth c seas.
Up until four thousand years ago, the only trolls that lived in Atlantica were violetbloods, and the last fucshiabloods, but then, some trolls from different bloods started hatching with seadwellers atributes, these mutants have expanded since then and are now comuns citiens of the city, surpassing violetblooods.
