i love that the answer to how to integrate heart pirates, or at least law and bepo, into one piece movie plots is through bepo lmao. bc it’s so true, law is too smart, his nature is too controlling and he’s too protective of his crew for it to make sense for him to fall into crazy shenanigans and traps the way straw hat crew tend to do, yaknow? for it to make sense, law has to be dragged into the shenanigans, but how to accomplish that? imo, One Piece Red did it perfectly bc of how the story used bepo. dare i say, when bepo is involved, this changes everything for law! bepo wants to go to uta concert? ok bepo can go but law insists on chaperoning! perfect way to integrate law and bepo in one piece movie plot, 10/10, would love to see again 🤌✨
also can i just say that i will never ever be over how insanely protective boyfriend-coded law is in Red? i imagine the conversation went something like bepo begging law to let him go to the concert and law is hesitant at first bc he’s heard concerts can be dangerous and he worries for bepo’s safety but then he realizes the obvious solution is that he will go with bepo to make sure his babygirl stays safe! like?? i love it, i can’t get over it! uta concert is definitely not law’s scene, he could’ve just as easily said that bepo can’t go, but law wants bepo to be happy and he knows bepo loves uta, so that law likely insisted on going to the concert as bepo’s chaperone, so that he can make sure bepo is safe and also make bepo happy, it is just so sweet! such a perfect example of law’s Bepo Bias™️, bepo is the exception to nearly every rule isn’t he lmao, i love that so much!

so RED was absolutely brilliant. how to get Law to partake in a silly thing-turn dangerous - make it Bepo's fault - there are no losers there - Bepo tends to do silly shit and he will be forgiven and Law will turn everything upside down for his baby - be it going to a ridiculous concert with him or be it saving him....we need Bepo as a damsel in distress - we need nexnext OP movie plot to have first mates be damsels in distress so we can have a reluctant captain trio team up and also killer-zoro-bepo to interact
and law's protective boyfriend-ism in RED is insane and we should rave about it every day because THEY WERE CRAZY TO DO THAT - OH ARE YOU A FAN TOO TRAFALGAR? NO (MY BABY WANTED TO GO) its soooo unnecessary for him to go himself but because he is Law and you gotta have Law in your movie they created a situation where its "holy shit he couldve sent ANYBODY but he went himself because he loves Bepo so much??? What a good husband..."
from that to Wano tummyache saga they keep creating situations where for Law, Bepo really IS the exception and he is the specialest
so when next movie rolls around and they want to have Law for that sweet sweet fanservice they should use Bepo and the other two chucklefucks as an excuse for Law to be in a stupid situation
imagine Penguin and Shachi going through every stage of grief asking Law if they can go to an event "ANY TIME YOU SUGGEST WE GO PLACES ITS ALWAYS HORRIBLE AND SCARY LIKE THAT TIME WHEN STRAWHAT PUNCHED FUCKING TENRYUUBITO AND THEN MARINES SHOWED UP WITH CYBORGS 0/10 FUCK THAT. OUR IDEAS ARE BETTER LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOO"

I usually do this on Twitter but I have it deactivated atm and I wanna start using this site more so fuck it let me unload all my thoughts about the one piece episodes I watched today. All the character interactions have got me giggling and kicking my feet frr
so uhh ONE PIECE SPOILERS below here!! for some added context I'm up to the wano arc and have just watched ep 1017!!
Gosh I can't stop giggling over Kid, Killer and Law having cool ass entrances (or what I presume were with Kid and Killer) and then Zoro, in perfect Strawhat style, flying in out of nowhere cos of Marco kevdsk. Him blushing in embarrassment after as well ;(( there were tears. I'm soooo gonna redraw it at some point.
And broooo the chemistry between Kid, Law and Luffy is so fucking good they are actually insane. They're about to fight TWO emperors of the sea and here they are making a game of chicken out of Big Mom's attack and then proceeding to get hit by said attack)("£%& Mannnn I love them all sm they are literally all like shithead brothers to each other.
Little side note- I don't think I'm gonna survive once the dub caches up to this arc with Kid being voiced by Justin Cook AND looking like Kirishima from bnha oh mannnnn
++PLUS Law (Holy shit this fucking guy) getting upset about Luffy making it look like he was following orders from him and then later on begrudgingly using Chambres (shambles?? Idfk atp) to send Zoro to Kaido (TWICE) when he asked is honestly peak comedy. I have to keep reminding myself that this man is 26 cos he's so dramatic.
Like look at his face, he is absolutely fuming
He was so fucking cool using his gamma knife tho so I'll give him that (had me stimming so hard).
Might I add, the whole Luffy being immune to electricity cos he's made out of rubber and his opponents not knowing thing will honestly never get old, Like I know Big Mom was embarrassed after that jsvsks and then Kaido's attack doing shit all as well cos of the amount of guts (???) Luffy has. Priceless.
YAMATO AND ACE HOLY SHIT- all the small things like the vivre card originally being made by Yamato and then him watching it burn right before his eyes unaware of what was going on at Marineford I sobbed so fucking hard. The added bittersweet-ness to the scene where Ace makes all his promises to Yamato as well because of the knowledge that he was never able to keep them. Crying and shaking on the floor.
There's definitely more I want to say but this is getting long so I'll just stop it here kdgsk

Dear do you happen to know how popular Frobin in Japan alone? Is it the top ship for both Franky and Robin? P.S. sorry for the late response and also I'm sorry to tell you that I have no idea how popular FRobin is in japan. Google couldn't answer me the question so I decided to look for a source... pixiv. Though nowadays there are also fanarts of western fans and not only japanese artists
There are 589 fanarts and illustrations for FRobin on pixiv.
Compared to that there are 11.451 of Zoro/Sanji
1.005 works in Law/Luffy
2.293 in Luffy/Nami
Let's look at some other ships that might be more comparable.

I couldn't find anything in Robin/Jinbe

I apologize for flooding any dashes with ZoLaw content. We're now going back to our regularly scheduled program...
Right after this one last thing.
Law starts out all:
WTF!!! Does not process. Ahhh!!!Humancontact!!! Ohmygod! Whatever you do Trafalgar DO NOT TOUCH HIM. Nononoidiot!! Idiot! Stop touching me! IwillnottouchhimbackIwillnot!!! Shitashitashitwheredohandsgo???
[He's so flail-y, you guys! Law was clearly not prepared for any sort of nonviolent human contact today.]
He even notices the alcohol before Zoro. Probably because he's so busy working hard not to touch or look at Zoro.
I love Zoro's face as he notices the rum. Like, I'm all about ZoLaw, but Zoro fucking leers at that rum. He undresses that rum with his eyes.
In the meantime, the guy holding the rum is openly leering back. Look at that grin. Apparently, Strawhat Swordsman IS on the menu and he's saved room for dessert.
Then suddenly, the flailing has stopped. Law is still clearly thrown off by the whole "Ahhh I'm being touched by another human being!" thing, but his cute confused face has been replaced by his adorable angry face. Law is pissed and also no longer struggling to get away and also leaning against Zoro.
Look, I'm not here to tell you what to think.
I'm here to tell you what I think.
And what I think is that Law is still thrown by Zoro - who up until now was tied with Robin for Strawhat least likely to manhandle you and hands down came off as the least outgoing and overly friendly Strawhat - suddenly getting overly friendly and manhandling Law. Sure, that will throw anyone off.
But he's also more than a little upset that Zoro - despite still having an arm wrapped around his shoulders like they're close friends and not merely temporary allies - is no longer focused solely on Law. And is instead being friendly to this guy just because he's giving him alcohol and also clearly inviting him to bed.
With Law sitting right there.
Sure, he hadn't planned to be sitting right here until Zoro fucking grabbed him like some sort of half feral man child because who the fuck does that, but the point is Law is sitting there now. And he's clearly settled in for the long haul if the crossed arms and scowl are anything to go by.
He didn't want to be manhandled by the swordsman, but since Zoro didn't ask and just went ahead and did it anyway he is now stuck snuggling up to said swordsman. So this stupid long armed boxer bro can just go find some other Strawhat to leer at (because apparently there is a whole fucking fleet of them now).
This one is occupied.

Alright, this is the food I was waiting for. Spoilers below.
^me, not being able to to decide if I’m more amazed or worried.
First of all: the new color spread is absolutely adorable!

I have no idea why Oda brought Orochi back if he’s cut into pieces like the very next chapter - but if the only purpose of it is to give Red Scabbards their little revange... I’m fine with it. Because it’s satisfying as fuck.
And that extra emphasis on Denjiro a second before
This man just deserved to cut a head. As a treat.
Kaido’s and Big Mom’s bickering brings me SO MUCH JOY.
We didn’t get much exposure about their past together but we can feel how close they once, as crewmates, used to be. This is such an entertaining detail.

Okay besides the absolute destructive power of that - isn’t it basically a copy of the attack Brogy and Dorry used in chapter 129? Considering Big Mom’s obsession with giants, I think it might not be a coincidence.

I just hope it’s NOT the demon Zoro. As I like demon!AUs for him, I really don’t want it to happen in canon. Let him be that boy from nowhere who became who he became thanks to hard work, p l e a s e.
