What’s Up With Those Title Cards, Anyway: An Analysis
Now that Mumbo’s second episode is out I find myself thinking about these title cards again. And as much as I realize that they’re meant to be a fun nod to previous Hermitcraft seasons and Mumbo’s place in them, the items included and the context of their presence raise a whole lot of questions for me.
First of all, these aren’t blocks, they’re real items. Many of them don’t even have equivalents in the world of Minecraft (or even in Hermitcraft). Think about that. Are the blocky forms that we see on screen mere representations of a larger, more high-resolution world? A world with stickers and stamps and keys? A world where a ticket to Hermitcraft is a physical object you can hold in your hand? This certainly seems to imply so.
What is the context for these items? Where are they? Where are we? The stylistic choice was made to have them sort of resting on a solid-colored background. The selection of items makes me feel as though this is a representation of a desk of some kind, items important enough to Mumbo for him to keep around, lots of paperwork and stuff that you might find in a private office drawer. Which just raises even more questions. How does Mumbo keep these items from season to season? Where are they right now? Do they actually exist at all? (Not to mention smaller timeline questions. When did Mumbo receive the Grumbot message? When was it sent? Does the Grumbot left in Season 7 have a different consciousness than the one in Season 9, which last saw its dads only a month or two ago?)
If you follow the Rendog school of Hermitcraft lore, I guess you could say they’re kept on the Hermetheus along with all the other season-to-season holdovers and souvenirs. But that is one interpretation of many, canon to Rendog but never really canonized on a server-wide scale. Plus… if we take that interpretation in its entirety, how do the items from season 8 even exist, given that their entire world was canonically a simulation?
I also notice the relationship between the real world and the Minecraft world, the distinction between Mumbo the youtuber and Mumbo the block man. The ‘Official Rich List’ certificate mentions a ‘screenshot of a Minecraft chest’, implying that whoever wrote this certificate knows what Minecraft is from an outside perspective and finds Minecraft diamonds to be meaningless as a measure of wealth. And yet the certificate is addressed to one Mumbo K. Jumbo. The middle initial, having its origin in a highly in-character storyline during season 8, makes me feel like it could be more of a character Mumbo thing, but there’s no hard evidence.
How does Mumbo even have a picture of real-life Grian? Is this redstone incident report out-of-universe too? Who is he reporting this damage to, anyway?
And yet these are placed alongside items that are definitely from inside the world of Hermitcraft, if only the more fleshed-out version of it. A key to a mechanical car-horse would be functionless unless it was actually used, in-universe, by Mumbo the character. The ODEA manual was an idea considered but rejected by Mumbo during Season 7 in favor of tutorial videos, but perhaps this would make sense as an alternative for a world where the characters live in their Minecraft world as reality and have no capability to access the ODEA website.
Perhaps, in Mumbo’s view, there is little distinction between what we in the fandom call c!Mumbo and cc!Mumbo. We see both in-universe and out-of-universe items side-by-side, contradictory, because they are interchangeable here.
I doubt we’ll ever get any answers to these questions because obviously Mumbo made these title cards as fun little references instead of serious or purposeful lore, but I still think it’s fun to think about. Neat little worldbuilding details like this are few and far between in most mcyt content so I was foaming at the mouth when I first saw these. Well done Mumbo!

You aren’t sure why he’s like this.
Tommy won’t even spend money on himself! His biggest purchase was a hundred-dollar lightsaber he adores, and even then he still calls it stupid that he bought it. All signs pointed to him being a stingy motherfucker.
So why, exactly, did he buy you practically everything you use to stream?
God, if only you had the answer.
He just walks in, chucks something at you, then walks out. Sometimes it’s small, a thing of your favorite candy or a stuffed animal. Other times it’s the three-hundred-dollar headset that’s been sitting in your cart for months.
It’s not that you don’t love the gifts, or that you don’t appreciate them, it’s that you can only allow him to buy you so many things before you start protesting. Really, you don’t need anything he gives you! You keep it all, obviously, but still.
And it’s impossible to hide from your viewers. Once, you mentioned wanting a lava lamp on stream. After a moment, you had stated you’d never actually buy one, considering how you just never seemed to get around to it.
So how the fuck were you meant to explain the lava lamp that appeared next stream?
Tommy isn’t even trying to hide the fact he’s spoiling you to death from your fans. He threw a stuffed animal of your favorite Minecraft mob at your face on stream! On three separate occasions!
So you might’ve started fighting with fire. He gives you a random mousepad? You give him a set of raccoon stickers. For some insane reason, you thought it would genuinely work.
Instead, you started a war.
On this fine Monday morning stream, you’re anxiously awaiting him to discover your latest comeback to him buying you a whole goddamn shelf. Not one, not two, but three giant Lego sets.
He’d probably be so in awe that he wouldn’t even strike back. It was the perfect plan! So, you weren’t too worried about him interrupting your stream. Until he does.
“How did the sheep escape again?! Where are they getting out?!” You scream, waving your hands fiercely at the screen. It was like magic! You look away and they're all over your house!
“Hey!” Tommy exclaims, popping his head into your streaming room. He’s holding two bags, and you sigh.
“Hi, Toms. What’s up?”
“So, Wil was talking to me ages ago about back support or whatever. I completely forgot about it until today, Y’know?”
“Uh-huh…” you’re not sure where this is going exactly, but you have an idea.
“So I bought you a back pillow for your chair!” He exclaims, holding the item up.
“Tommy!”
“It’s for your health! And I bought myself one too!”
Oh, if he bought himself one, then it was fine. It wasn’t part of his spoiling war. You didn’t know when he started caring about back support or posture or anything, but maybe it’d actually be helpful. Especially because of how bad his posture was.
“Oh, and you know the gaming chairs we were looking at?”
“Weeks ago?”
“Yeah, I bought you that one you liked. It’ll be here in two days; I got the fast shipping.”
“The one I- Tommy!”
“Bye!”
He waltzes out, shutting your door behind him and leaving you gaping. The chair he was referring to was about the same price as the three Lego sets you bought him. And it was a single chair!
This was absolutely ridiculous, and you aren’t afraid to voice that to your stream.
“I can’t fucking believe this.” You groan. “I don’t need a new chair! Fucking insane! He’s fucking insane!”
Secretly, you’re just a little excited. It was a really nice chair, okay?!
“What do you guys think? Why are you all laughing? Stop! Stop laughing at me!”
You stop reading chat, fighting the smile that wants to show at the messages. Because even you have to admit: Tommy spoiling you? It’s sweet.
But you can’t let that show, you have to play up your act. So you flit your eyes back to your screen and what you were doing originally. It wasn’t like you could fight Tommy on the chair, he was quite the stubborn person.
“My sheep!” You cry out, realizing even more escaped. “No!”
“Oh, forgot these!” Tommy exclaims, opening your door just to throw a box of candy at you then shut it.
“Ah!” You exclaim, barely managing to catch it. “TOMMY!”
From outside the door, you hear him laugh.

I always come away from your posts with awe, my friend! WOOF PACK 4 LIFE! @storiesbyjes2g, ma'am you have no idea what you do to my feelings all the time, how dare you and ilysm, your sims and stories are truly chef's kiss! @queeniecook the struggles, tribulations, and triumphs of your pixel people, my friend. Hi! I feel like I've found my people in you. After beating Rebirth, I've had extremely complicated feelings towards the ending and though it's slowly marinating with me. One of the reasons why the ending has been bothering me is because I've just felt off about Aerith's characterizations.
I was endeared by Aerith in remake but in rebirth I totally see the qualities that some people in og did with just how tone deaf she can be. In a way, I find that her character is interesting since she's flawed but her pushiness to cloud just rubbed me the wrong way. If ppl get Aerith in chapter 8's date we see Cloud clearly mourning Jessie and the only thing she cares about is if Jessie was a gf...like girl come on. Do people not see how this comes off?
Which brings me to say, I just don't get Aerith. The devs portray tifa and aerith as close so clearly she knows about Tifa's feelings and even seems to push the two together at times but then she constantly seeks Cloud's affection and even says they went on a date in front of Tifa? That's where her character loses me. Her constant seeming to push CT together yet constantly seeking Cloud's affections despite knowing Tifa has feelings for him and a shared history just doesn't sit well with me.
I can appreciate Aerith recognizes she doesn't know the real Cloud but this is why I'll never understand why Cleriths are so insistent that CA are "romantic" - she dies so she *never* gets to see who the real Cloud is. They clearly have a deep bond that helps enrich the story but the fact that Tifa's role was greatly expanded on in part 2 should be telling but some fans and Cleriths just straight up ignore that. Cloud is also the one who initiates everything with Tifa...the only time he's ever vulnerable and VERBALLY opens up his true feelings is with Tifa (Gongaga) and it baffles me how Cleriths just bypass this entirely. It makes me realize they're just here for the ship and not for the overarching story.
I just feel like I'm being gaslit by Cleriths or some fans who insists that Cloud loves both girls. I'm definitely not denying that the og had more leeway with this but in Remake and Rebirth? I would say the opposite. Tifa is the best suited for Cloud *and* he feels the same way. I am all about shipping whoever you want but CA's are always spewing nonsensical things. The theme songs, the over analyzing hand holding debacle and bringing up japanese culture as if a kiss isn't the most intimate thing between two people regardless of culture. Ignoring the most central theme of the songs which are regret (Cloud's guilt in hollow of failing to save her) ...Yes NPTK is about Aerith TO Cloud but we never see anything from his perspective TO Aerith. Guess who does? Tifa. Cleriths also conveniently ignore that Tifa was pushed to the forefront the entirety of rebirth until the final 2 chapters for obvious plot reasons and they all dismiss Gongaga's near kiss between CT.
Then there's Aerith's dream date at the end...Cloud has no agency in that date, he can't even choose the items himself! It's HER dream and things are predetermined for him. And is it just me or is Aerith basically re-creating her date with Zack in CC? I get why CA's think that dream date is romantic but objectively it doesn't read romantic at all...it just reads tragic because Aerith knows she's about to die - one last ditch effort for her which just doesn't amount to anything other than Cloud caring deeply for her as a person/friend. Or am I just not seeing something that "everyone" else is? Aerith herself sounds unsure how she feels towards him. Yes she has feelings for him but she's never been able to fully define them ("There's liking and there's liking"...huh?) This is also the perfect opportunity for the devs to have both girls in equal footing and cloud still doesn't kiss her or makes his supposed romantic feelings known. I like to understand the "bigger picture" in the narrative and the bigger picture to me is just obviously spells out Tifa in the end - just from a pure narrative standpoint.
And do Cleriths not see how Cloud reacts to Aerith? As someone who actually likes Aerith minus her pushiness to Cloud, even I was surprised at how he straight up told her to stop calling it a date in Costa Del Sol. Cleriths argue it's "cute banter" but this is where they lack media literacy because lmfao if anyone said this to me irl I'd be mortified because Cloud really does not give any indication that he's "joking." And Cloud doesn't even remotely have any kind of dialogue like that towards Tifa at all...even all of Tifa's optional choices are sweet at best and neutral at worst but you can straight up be an ass to everyone else including Aerith.
I just hope that in Part 3, the devs just kill the LTD with finally cementing CT and tying everything nicely with them and Aerith and Zack. Zack is one of my favourite characters ever and I feel like they did him so dirty in this game...having Marlene straight up tell him to his face that Aerith loves Cloud like???? He deserves his happy ending and perhaps WHEN Aerith and him reunite (cause they're both dead they have to right?) then it'll all click to her.
Also, Cloud is a really well written character and I really do not think he'd go after his dead best friend's girl who he just remembered. It's such a disservice not only to Zack but to Cloud's own character. The fact that Cloud says "Zack fair, head over heels for Aerith" is telling, no? Objectively and narratively CT and ZA make the most sense but again I feel like I'm constantly being gaslit into seeing CA when I really don't and the only thing CA has going for them are the last 2 chapters which are Aerith heavy for a reason because you know...she dies lol.
Sorry I didn't mean for this to be long but just wanted to have some engagement on the topic (I know you always get asks but just wanted to get something off my chest!) Thank you so much!
Couple points: hollow isn't about Aerith in any capacity. Hollow is set before Cloud arrives in Midgar and an instrumental of it plays in the wasteland outside Kalm near where Zack died, so yeah, not about her.
And nptk is about zack. If it wasn't then why tf is she crying at the end? If it's about Cloud then why doesn't he acknowledge this obvious confession in her date or any other? Why does he take Tifa's hand? Literally the opening verse about how she didn't know how much time passed until she saw someone who reminded her of Zack is the only part featuring Cloud and it's hardly complimentary. It highlights she only took an interest in him because he reminded her of Zack. Idky anybody would want something that skeevy.
Tbh I hate both songs. They're shit.
Gaslighting is what those dumdums do. They don't play the game, they skim YouTube and lie about the clips they saw.
The best thing to do is block and ignore them.

Do you think Elain will be featured at all in CC3, even just mentioned in passing? I think it was said that some time will have passed between the ending of ACOSF and the events of HOFAS. I really want to know what her character has been up to during that time!
I would be so happy if Lucien was brought up too, but I see his character being involved in the crossover even less than Elain.
I think there are two likely scenarios.
The first is that Elain is not going to be featured in CC3 unless it's a very casual mention of "my other sister isn't here right now" and I think we'd get explanation for her absence in the next ACOTAR book.
I know most think Az will get next because he had his Bonus Chapter in SF and he's featured in the crossover but.....
Elain (or a mention of her) appeared in both SF bonus chapters and the information we got in Feysands was equally important to what happened in Az's. "Had she been wearing Lucien's gloves, she would have never gotten pierced at all" and "let's help one sisters before helping the other".
Also, in ACOWAR, ACOFAS, and ACOSF, we were told that there were some very pressing issues with Vassa, Koschei, Beron, and Spring.
Like, a few months time frame is what they're working with kind of issues. Even Eris said, "I can only hold my father off for so long, maybe a few months" and they were so concerned about what would happen in Spring that they permanently stationed Lucien there. Koschei also said, "tell my Vassa I'm waiting".
Does it make sense that those things were all at the forefront in SF only to have them take a backseat to whatever is happening in the crossover and after which puts us at least a year out from SF?
People keep saying Elain isn't connected to the current plot but the fact is, Elain is connected to nearly EVERY current plot in the ACOTAR world and if someone did not read CC2 / CC3 when they started reading the next ACOTAR book, the only plots they would be aware of would be the ones related to Koschei, Beron wanting to take over Spring, Elain getting rejected by Az, Lucien showing the markers of being a High Lord, him being permanently stationed in Spring, Nesta thinking of how Spring had been made for someone like Elain, etc. (as well as the formation of the Valkyries pissing off the Illryians and the Trove items / made weapons being in their possession). If someone stays an ACOTAR reader and ACOTAR reader alone, it would be pretty strange to go from all of those concerns to, "the IC had an interplanetary space travel land in their world and now Koschei, Vassa, Spring really aren't a big deal anymore!"
The introduction of the crossover in the Crescent City series isn't the current plot in the acotar world. I do think SJM will eventually connect it to the ACOTAR series but wouldn't it be a little strange starting the next book with an Az pov where she has to recap Bryce landing in Prythian? Something that would be absolutely shocking if you hadn't read the CC series?
Also, the Illyrians being mad about the Rite isn't the "current" plot, Gwyn not being ready to leave the library yet or her unknown heritage aren't the only current plots, they're simply plots SJM has now added to the other plots that haven't been resolved. And if Elain and Lucien's story is meant to deal with Koschei, Spring, etc, then it makes sense SJM would have started planting the seeds for the plot that will take place after that.
SJM is not a linear author. She begins planning for things early on that branch off from the original storyline. Like she began planning for Elucien's story all the way back in ACOMAF / ACOWAR but set them aside in favor of finishing Feysand and Nessian's story (I don't think Nesta's story had any major plot related foreshadowing until the novella). Just because she started building Az's future book doesn't mean SJM has to now give us Az's book next. It can simply mean she's preparing it, as she did for Elucien in ACOWAR, while wrapping up the storylines that are still outstanding.
So to me, I don't think Elain will be in CC because I think Elain is no longer in the NC to know that Bryce landed there. I think while CC3 starts 6-9 months after SF, SJM will take a step back and start Elucien's book 2-3 books after SF to fill in the blanks of what happened during that time (because again, I don't know how the characters could be sooo worried about Spring and Koschei and a war only to just sit on their asses for months doing nothing) and maybe at the end of their book, it'll show Lucien and Elain visiting Feysand (now happily mated) after the events of CC3 where they'll fill them in on what happened with the arrival of Bryce. Where they're now worried about who else can cross into their world and that will set up Az to be the next book.
Or......
If I'm completely wrong and Elain does make an appearance, it will be minor. I don't think she'd use powers that she wasn't even using in SF. Usually a characters book is the chance for us to get inside their head while they go on their journey including mastering their powers and if Elain were using her powers after they were dormant in SF, she would have yet another big moment for her happening off page (the way some in the fandom already believe she's fallen in love and found her family of friends).
Not to mention SJM has already set the stage that Elain, again, is not a major part of the IC when she had her notably absent at the end scene of CC2, something that carried on from SF and something that I think sets her up for beginning her journey of leaving the NC. So it wouldn't make sense to have her play a role of major importance when that goes against everything the author has been building for her in the NC.

Tag Game for Historical Simblrs! 📖
1. What has been your favorite time period to play in or which one are you most excited for?
So far my favorite time period to play was Middle Ages, I really enjoyed the sims from that generation. Elurin and Elbereth ended up having great stories that I was able to flush out well. There were some big loops that the gameplay added that I worked into the story. When they happened I wasn't pleased but they ended up working out nicely.
I'm really excited for the "Atomic Age", for my game that will be 1950 - 1980.
2. Do you have a favorite piece of historical cc? (CAS or BB)
That is really a tough question, there are so many. I suppose the pieces I use the most constantly are by @strangestorytellersims this Chess Set and these slacks. The slacks I use for every era there are pants and have since they were released, they are probably my favorite piece of CC. The chess set is beautiful and works well in most settings.
3. Who is your favorite sim currently?
Actually pretty easy, Luis. He was supposed to be the Villain, but I had to fight with him to get him to fight (Hind sight being 20/20, Clara should have been the villain, she's actually a jerk). Eventually, I gave up and gave him a happily ever after. He's all smiles, jokes and comfort. Shots where he's hugging someone, that's just Luis.
I wish I written him a bit different so I could keep him as the heir, though it does save his and Maren's offspring from being the villain next generation. Also the next generation is 1920, the game is just coming into the 1900's.
4. What is your favorite world?
It depends on what I'm doing. For most things I love Henford. For historical purposes, its well suited. I really didn't have to do much other than plop down some builds and the river is really pretty.
5. Are you more gameplay or story focused?
Gameplay is my focus. I'm not a great writer and even though I follow some amazing simblrs that use the game as a storytelling platform, I'm just not comfortable doing it. I did make a few efforts at putting story above game play but It sucks the fun out for me. So, I stick to most of the challenge rules, and keep a tally spreadsheet of where I am on points.
6. Do you like to play with pets in your historical saves?
Not really. I've never really had pets in real life, a few cats, a couple hamsters and a couple dogs. The gameplay for them is interesting but they get kind of annoying.
7. What’s your biggest immersion breaking pet peeve with the game? The werewolves are the biggest break, I can throw them in crinolines (and have) but I can't make them stop looking like a giant dog. I have kind of quit trying to avoid them, but I miss being able to turn off specific life states in TS3.
8. What’s your favorite in-game historical item? (CAS or BB)
Probably the 4 candle hanging light that came with Get Together. I use that in so many builds. The BB assets for that pack get used often: walls, floors, lights, fences, chimneys. I don't use clubs all that much but that pack has been great.
9. What would you like to see as a new pack or asset to the game?
I keep holding out hope for faries ( just because I like them in TS3). Though in terms of things that would be more realistic to see, I'd like to see more worlds set outside of the United States. Selvadorada is beautiful, but it's a vacation world. Can we get a live in South American based world? Africa? A whole continent that's untouched. There are so many beautiful places that are not the U.S..
10. What pack do you think is invaluable as a historical simmer?
Cottage Living, not a unique answer but it really is almost a requirement for historical gameplay. Cows, chickens, expanded farming, farmer's markets, the world, the BB/CAS assets. It covers so much in terms of historical life for most populations. Even taking the cows to a less themed world for early civilization, the canning options (food preservation had been around almost as long as people), the "off the grid" trait.
11. Do you have a favorite mod to enhance historical gameplay?
As everyone else has mentioned Timeless, it really does help with visual immersion. Also Lot51's Fashion Authority Mod, it's a lifesaver if you have it set up and need to "poof" a tonwie into something presentable.
12. What’s your ideal family size for playing?
Ideal is 4-6, though I keep ending up with 8 lol. Smaller than 4 gets kind of boring, more than 6 my desk becomes posty note purgatory with me trying to keep track of stuff.
13. Do you use poses?
Only for paintings or probably going forward photos. Because I lean into gameplay, I craft the story around the shot not the shot to the story.
14. Do you use any overrides in your game?
Short answer is yes, lots, they have their own file. My favorites are the book overrides from @moon-simmers Here.
15. Do you, or did you, play off-the-grid during your game?
Initially, yes. But some items that should work off grid don't and frustration ensued. I got rid of the lot trait and continued to use items that should work off grid. Basically, I kept the spirit without the shenanigans.
16. What lifespan do you play on?
Normal life span. Each sim is allowed to drink one "Essence of Life or Potion of Youth" based on the rules of the challenge, but so far no one has. That may change in the the upcoming generations.
17. What inspired you to start playing a historically?
I started playing historically on TS3 after reading several people's stories on the forum, they were doing a history challenge and I thought it was really cool (I've forgotten which one or who the posters were). I was in college working on my history degree and that seemed right my speed. That was also my first legacy challenge attempt.
When I moved to TS4, I started with a Rainbowcy challenge (NSB adjacent) and some general gameplay, (If you're interested go to the end of my archive). It didn't take long for the history bug to bite again. I've had several attempts that have been thwarted by game updates or software issues. Earlier efforts were more story focused (though visually, I hadn't figured out how to hide the plumbob) and I tried to include historical events and the uglier side of history (this has always been a hobby, not a thesis paper). After so many short stops, this time my goal is to finish. I've kept it more historically aesthetic (aside from some minor toe dips).

That is absolutely what I would do. I wouldn't even upload sims who use cc to the gallery, especially if the sims team/EA refuses to tell you what about your sims is being flagged as inappropriate by their standards. After a few suspensions and warnings they will go ahead with a permanent ban and from what I've found in my research, they don't seem to have a lot of flexibility to undo a ban once it has been issued, so you're right to play it safe rather than be sorry.

I agree on all fronts! I'm almost positive there will be bugs with this new EP upon release, I just hope they're mild and managable until the Sims team can get out a hotfix. Just hoping the bugs aren't as bad as My Wedding Stories, for instance - that pack was completely unplayable upon release.
I think what we have seen of the build buy items looks really unique and beautiful. I'm always excited to see new traits, although some of them seem so pack-specific that I'm worried how they'll impact gameplay outside of the renter situations. I reblogged a couple isolated screenshots on my page that break down some new potential features - like a rice cooker, standing toilet, marbles and hopscotch for children (new child activities!!! Yay!!), and so on! The world itself seems immersive and different than what we already have and I think the non-American representation has been severely lacking, so it'll *hopefully* be a breath of fresh air.
Somewhat related to this point: the inclusion of a non-American world also gives me hope for the future. I'm still holding out hope for a Spanish inspired world or an African inspired world, but perhaps they'll incorporate one or both in the future. I hate that Selvadorada is a vacation world only!
The negative part of me kind of hates that this feels like "City Living: The Sequel." I'm curious how this will impact the already existent apartment lot types in the game. Hopefully it's different enough to stand on its own, but I just think we should have been able to create apartments all this time. That's the main selling point of this pack for me, and it would seem like that's the shared sentiment in the community as well, so that's unfortunate that we all have to buy/acquire a different pack to implement a feature that could and should have been implemented in another pack. I'm going to withhold judgment until I play though and try to go in with an open mind!
I love refreshing the townies, too! It's actually one of the first things I do when I start a new gameplay save because, like you said, a lot of them don't even have hot/cold weather outfits which is... well, it's expected of the lazy ass sims team lol. I'm not surprised. 🤦 But I can't stand seeing townies walk around in the wackiest outfits, especially the townies I really like!
I've always thought the community, by and large, does a better job handling townie refreshes anyway. I think every time the Sims team touches a beloved townie or alters their lore in any way, they fuck it up lmao. I would rather they just leave it to the people who actually care about these sims...😬
Thank you so much for the compliment, that means so much to me! I know it's cliché, but the more you practice making sims, the better you will get and the more you'll start to see your own "style" take shape. One tip I would give is to use real people as a reference: this helps avoid that "same face" syndrome you can get yourself into. They don't have to be perfect and exact to your reference, but you'll find over time that looking at all these different real people will not only diversify your sims, but also your ideas of beauty. You'll start to notice little things about a face that make it different - a bump of the nose, a slant of the eyes, pulled-in corners of the mouth, a cupid's bow arch of the lips versus a perfectly rounded edge. If you go to Pinterest and just look up "Face claims" you will find a never-ending amount of pictures with people of all different facial features, ages, ethnicities, hair textures, etc. Create a board on there - public or private (that's totally up to you) - and save all the faces you think are beautiful, unique, intriguing, etc. It helps me so much, and my sim style has really developed over time just by doing that!
I have to admit... I'm not a particularly fashionable person: I've been dressing pretty much the same way since middle school not gonna lie (think thrift store grandpa in band/graphic t-shirts and leggings exclusively lmao). So I try to think of the kind of personality my sim has first, which helps me pick an aesthetic style I want to go for when it's time to dress them. I'll think of questions like are they more alternative, or are they preppy? Do they dress for comfort or for style? Would they spend a lot of money on their clothes, or do they prioritize simple, affordable, staple pieces? Are they environmentally-conscious, avoiding animal furs/clothes that could be over the top but also made cruelly? Do they have a culture, religion, or belief-system that encourages modesty and head-coverings of some kind? So on and so forth. Then I might look up pictures or just play around until I find a few outfits that feel right. If you need inspo, go to TS4 lookbook tag as well- there's lots of variety and seeing how people pair some cc pieces might help your creative juices flow!
The Goth family will always have a special place in my heart, first and foremost. Naturally I have to include Erwin Pries (Strangerville GP), my number one silly goose, because he feels like he's mine. I know EA made him and we all have him in our games, but he feels so personal to me. I also love Penny Pizzaz (City Living EP) and the entire Jang family (City Living EP), Sienna Grove and Don Gooseman (Horse Ranch EP), Max Villareal and Lucas Munch (Get Together EP), Bob Pancakes (BG), the Vatore siblings (Vampires GP), Morgyn Ember and L. Faba (ROM GP - sorry Simeon).
Honorable mention to every Wildfangs werewolf and Celene López: I love all of them equally and could not pick a favorite. Another honorable mention to the Behr sisters as well: I don't play with them often, but I love their aesthetic.
Little blurb but this was such a tough question because I had to decipher between the townies I love because I have an attachment to them, versus townies I love because they're done so well by someone else (Gunther Munch by Ai, Hugo and Malcom by tricoufamily, and so on). I feel good about the above list though - I think these are my favorite sims that I play with based on my own attachment and personal headcanons.

It genuinely makes my heart happy to think that anyone will find joy in a build that I had joy in making. It's like sharing brain children, collaborating in a way - my build housing someone else's sims, two elements creating one story. Idk if that makes sense, but that's my favorite part of the community... just like, creating together.
I wasn't a good builder either, I found the mechanics really confusing at first, but it's actually become kind of a catharsis for my anxiety and adhd. It keeps me focused and grounded and gives me a task to direct my, at times, directionless energy. I also recommend using floor plan pictures from Pinterest to help practice building as well! I have a whole board of floor plans and exteriors!
Anyway, if this is all my same friend who came to me for help, I'm sorry I wrote you a book lmao! If this is more than one person, I'm also sorry all my answers were long. Albums will be packed inside a box with bubble wrapping, or a bubble mailer
Shipping
I calculate shipping when packing as the weight of the specific photocard(s) and the difference between toploaders and shipping shield can change the price of shipping. This means I give you an estimate of how much shipping would be, and once you agree to buy I'll pack and then send you payment info for the item + shipping. Once you agreed to buy based on the estimated shipping, you can't back out (unless the difference is drastic) as I already packed for you at this point.
Shipping through vinted is possible for most European countries that have international Vinted available.
Giveaway rules
Do not immediately sell/trade a price after you receive it. If you do this and I find out you will be blacklisted from all future giveaways. If your intention to join is to make a profit from selling it, don't bother joining and give other people the chance instead.

Dear Freegan Babies!
First off, Happy Pride Month! I'm sorry I'm a little late on uploading but I wanted to try and make this set a little special. I originally planned that each item would have it's description and then I wanted to include special LGBTQIA people in my life and what they taught me while I grew up. I wanted to give them a day of knowing how much they impacted my life, but I have quickly realized that it may be too painful for me to bring those memories back up right now. So instead I decided to add some songs that I've fallen in love with that remind me of all the beautiful and sometimes painful aspects of life. Some are LGBT themed and some are just simply talking about lost love...
I just hope you find them as lovely as I do, and hope that you understand that even though I don't know you in person, doesn't mean I don't care. Every download I get, I think of how many people chose something I created to express themselves or the person that they wish they could be. And I'm truly honored by that. Its one reason why I always try to make the clothes Unisex. I want everyone to have the opportunity to experience the things that make them happy. I just want everyone to be happy, healthy, and thriving. We're community animals at the core, and we all need to feel loved and respected, right?
Listen, I'm not here to give you some speech, and I'm sorry if it seems as such. I just feel like I'm struggling to express how deeply this community has affected me and allowed me a safe space to just be while I learned to heal. I hope to do the same.
If there is ever a design that you cant find in Unisex, reach out to me and I'll see what I can recolor to make that happen for you. Bayview Mobile Home Park
I grew up poor, bouncing from place to place with my parents, who struggled to hold jobs. When I was 7 they separated, and from there things got worse. I lived all over the place, from remote cabins with no running water to rundown suburban-outskirts shacks, the kind of borderland holdover that only stands out when towns begin to creep closer. At times we lived in trailer parks, and when we didn't, we often visited them. I have vivid memories of the flimsy walls, the springy floors, the thin carpet that was too old and worn to really have a color that could be named and identified.
I remember too the ways some people would try to beautify the space, lining their trailers with plants or replacing stairs and scrubbing windows. I remember how clean so many of the homes were inside, so desperately clean, as though cleanliness would make anything less shabby. I remember so many people collected crystal figures or even rocks - heavy things that felt out of place in a home that felt so fragile.
The base game doesn't have a lot of room for this kind of life. Even the cheaper things, cracked and peeling as they are, still look more at home in a designer showcase than they do inside a trailer home. More shabby chic than shabby that has been carefully preserved, since it's all you have. I struggled to try to capture the look of the places I remember, and I also didn't want to overload with clutter on such a big lot. So it's not quite right, but using base game items only, I worked to produce something with the spirit I remembered from my childhood. The floorplans are based on or inspired by real mobile home plans (the diamond-shaped trailer had pullout sides! I imagine it here made permanent) that showcase the strange divisions of rooms. The dedication to open living/dining/kitchen areas for the illusion of space; the insistence on multiple bathrooms even when it shrank the bedrooms. Those rooms, dense with humidity, the air wet, the walls too close. The way kids grew up too fast - girls who were still children rushing to put on makeup, to squeeze into tighter clothes, to be grown, because that was one of the only ways to have any agency. Choosing what was already inevitable made it at least feel like a choice.
The narrow spaces between trailers, and the way we pretended we couldn't see into each other's lives. The feeling of being alone but also never unseen.
Yes, this is definitely a sanitized version, clean and sparse, and much more "together" but I did what I could with repeated cabinetry and carpeting, though I think the end result is more "summer getaway" than everyday life. Expansions offer more options there, and CC too, so I left things pretty spare for anyone to use. Always room for more clutter.
In my head canon, things aren't quite what they seem. Posters were slipped out of magazines at the doctor's office - so lucky to be the first to open that one! Paintings were garage sale finds, or liberated from motels; just a picture of a landscape no one is connected to, existing only to fill a space otherwise empty.
The memories make me sad, but I am happy with this build, because it feels like a part of me shared with all of you. Available on the gallery under simulacrum_blds, though I think I'm going to redo with CC. There were so many times I wanted more options, but I enjoyed the challenge of the base game. We'll see. I really want to play through a game with this lot. I may make it the home for my first generational game.

I'm going to make this chopper competition work there's some ground rules the frame has to be entirely out of angle iron and flat stock and raw tube steel but the frame itself has to be angle iron the tube steel that's the cylinders is that's for the steering mechanism and the swing arm I'll be choppers they're going to be double shocked in the rear we won't accept any that don't have rear shocks the flat stock can be used wherever you want it but the whole frame must be a circular square rectangle whatever you call it made out of the angle iron and you can put stiffeners where you like and reinforcing and we recommend you don't put a ton of it you don't really need it the frame the way we designed can hold up to like a 1200 cc motor and it can handle the torque it's insane it's not a great reason why it works the rear end I shouldn't work so well you might want to take an angle piece and make the swing arm into a box people think that's wise and it really is the whole thing too and as a matter of fact we'll modify and say that the swing arm can be a TS box steel
-you want to have a motor of 1000cc or less with DOT approved everything exhaust included lights turn signals it's going to be street legal you don't have to have it passed the street legal thing but we're going to inspect at the competition
-you can make it as heavy as you want it'll probably lose no sharp edges no more stuff no war items no weaponry no weaponized bikes are allowed this is a friendly competition for handling and top speed of a chopper and everybody knows the rules about making a chopper the sweet has to be so much it has to be so low and so on and you can use any aftermarket motor buying a Harley-Davidson motor is not aftermarket and SNS motor is aftermarket and other aftermarket type motors and homemade ones are accepted if they pass the tests for safety
-they must have gears and sprockets how many you decide and rubber tires of course and suspension front and back
-decimal rating has to be for Street road Street DOT approved and usually can be quite loud but you have to test it
We're going to have this race Christmas is now and everybody's busy but we're going to have this race on Wednesday and we're having our people have it up and he's having his people Fab it up and they're going to have parties during Christmas making the bike and we going to race and we're going to pick a place it's a famous place in Los Angeles that's what he says and we agree and we know where it is and it's official raceway and we're going to call it the first annual homemade chopper rat race this will be the angle iron class and the swing arm is a box deal to save people's lives

Got gold in paladins again and then got shetted on pretty badly by a khan and atlas and my team was just not doin the do and atlas just like negates everything you do it's so annoying and my team seemed like they were doin something over there not on point but then like you did something cool can we regroup back on point especially because the healer is over here oh no you're just gonna stay over there low health and die when they respawn and come back ok sure that was the last game for the time being and I havent touched league ranked in like a billion years even tho like i can defined push it out into plat like its going so smooth but ive become addicted to playing support and my duo hasnt played in a million years and was never really that deep into the game and they're def bad but I actually do not care and I don't care about how well you can play if I'm playing with you and they like playing it and will keep asking me to play it with them and nami was just the beginning no no she is the roots that hold me into support and im just branching out a little but ive yet to find anyone that i like playing more than her narey a chance i will either prithee remember that nami is the best support are synchronization is almost 100% and I'm going to become a merperson soon ouwwr nawrr the water it touched my skin I've gotta hide before someone sees I actually fucking suck ball sacks if I build the non spam poke support item tho Ill just forget to use it and it'll never get completed and I then have a useless item taking up a slot it's so bad and I'm just a really aggressive support like I'm frothing at the mouth to poke and zone the enemies away and also my best friend finally came back and there are rare occurrences where he is not online and will play but we haven't really played anything just the two of us or even talked yet but we've ran a 5 person squad in league like twice very fun and yes I'm so in love with playing support omg it's so fun even tho like I can become somewhat helpless but like turning fights because of buffs and heals and cc is so ahhhhhhh eeeeeeeee and getting someone fed or going and helping the fed person 2v5 and win like uhhhhhhhh 🤤

So back to Shugo being at pole-ax point. Shugo tries to defend himself but Kamiya accuses him of being responsible for THIS:

Yeah, he looks more stupid than scary. The point is he accuses Shugo's bracelet of doing that to him back at the Tanabata event. Like a chad, Shugo has already forgotten about how he destroyed this man's (boy's) (virtual) life.
Either way, Kamui has the right to delete Shugo's character because he was accused of fraudulent acts. Shugo's in trouble...as well as Rena! And the rest of the group who are being taken in for questioning. As for Zafie, she is to be collected as a "bug". Zafie responds by outright daring Kamui to execute her on the spot. While Kamui is amused by that, Kamiya tries to protest, saying that he only reported Shugo and the rest have nothing to do with this. Kamui simply says she appreciates his report and she'll take it from here. He won't even be notified with the results...
Kamiya weakly tries to speak up for them again but Kamui shuts them up by shouting, threatening to delete them all right there. Kamui takes the group and leaves Kamiya to stew in what he just done.
Meanwhile, somehow Balmung is still in the game. Reki then contacts him to bitch him out for not being in contact. Balmung complains that CC Corporation for being ironically conservative about how they run their VRMMORPG. Apparently, four years ago, CC tried to delete Kite too. But that just made the situation worse, resulting in one of Balmung's friends being among those who fell unconscious. Balmung, in the past, was in Kamui's shoes, overzealously confronting those he considered dirty cheaters. But Kite showed Balmung the Core and with it, shifted his paradigm completely. He even worked on getting to administrator status to fully express his love for the game.
Sadly, CC Corp doesn't care. They want to wipe out anything that doesn't fit their direct vision of what they want the world to be. Reki asks him what he's gonna do. Balmung smiles and says it's in the players' hands now. Called before his bosses again, he says he hasn't changed his mind. They scoff and say grow up before getting hit by a car after leaving the bar and tell him to behave himself as he awaits his final verdict. Balmung smirks, mentally asking Aura what she thinks of all this...
Our group's in jail! Namely, the holding cells of the Cobalt Knights. Mireille hilariously and not inaccurately comments on the bullshit of the situation, asking aren't games supposed to be fun? Shugo asks what the deal is with the knights and Rena answers they're probably CC's admins, troubleshooters, you know...MODS. Kamui interrupts the round table to read them their verdict. Shugo and Rena's accounts are to be suspended.
Shugo and Rena protest, saying their models were won as prizes. Kamui says yeah, that's true but that bracelet Shugo's wearing? Yeah, it apparently breaks the user agreement. Shugo counters he got the item in a game sub event. Kamui counters his counter by saying it's unauthorized. Mireille counters the counter that countered that by demanding to know why they weren't told earlier. Kamui, being a villain, doesn't bother to fight with words anymore, saying that the group is apparently just as culpable as Shugo and Rena just for indirectly reaping benefits. They're all liable to be deleted too. All their points, their items, their virtual pets...gone.
Infuriated, Shugo shouts his group has nothing to do with this. Kamui pulls the whole "just joking" card by saying CC wouldn't go that far...CC Corp believes in user satisfaction first and foremost after all. So instead, Mireille's, Ouka's and Hotaru's accounts will not be suspended...on the condition that they disband their party and not mess with the World again.
Tearfully, Mireille surrenders, not wanting to be deleted. Ouka caves next, not wanting all the effort she put into her character to go to waste. Hotaru doesn't want to lose Grunty so she falls too. Shugo's reaction? Happily letting his friends go with no hard feelings, not wanting them to suffer on his account.
Kamui huffs, saying she's not doing this just to be mean. CC Corps Cares! They just hate bugs and cheaters. The chapter ends with Shugo and Rena being told to wait for their punishment...
THOUGHTS
Fuck, a great chapter. I'm mad at nobody except the people I'm supposed to be mad at: CC Corp and Kamui. I didn't think it was possible to sympathize with Hotaru but this chapter pulled it off. Shugo goes from tolerable to likeable and I am now excited to read this manga. Chapter 12 gets the Badass seal of approval.
