Uhhhh.....Hi?
God, this feels like such a weird post to make cause I've been gone for like, 3 months. Honestly, I didn't expect to come back to anything, so seeing all your messages and well wishes really warmed my heart. I promise, I plan to reach out to you all individually at some point!
I guess you're all kinda owed an explanation. Well- a lot happened. My job had me working close to 60 hours a week! Between that and college, I kinda never had any time ever.
So I did the rational thing! I lost my mind and in a manic episode I quit my job and dropped out! Then spent a solid week playing baldurs gate 3 non-stop.
But fear not dear reader! Things have gotten better for you your beloved(?) Narrator. I got a chill job working at a theater, I got my meds adjusted, and started reading again lmao.
I have some fics in the drafts I plan on posting soon, so please be patient! I know that's a lot to ask (i did vanish for like 2 months) but it takes time to get the creative juices flowing after capitalism makes you it's bitch lmao.
Seriously. Thank you all for your kind words and support. I'm gonna try and be more active. I missed y'all 💙

love that the men on the grid have the privilege to essentially say “not my problem” when it comes to acknowledging that there is an actual victim of sexual harassment who called out the perpetrator, a man who they know personally, not realizing the irony and distaste that they bring forward with this attitude to this issue and every other political/social stance they’ve taken.
Am I disappointed? A thousand percent.

CURRENTLY THINKING ABOUT dancing with Jack Champion at a wedding.
A wedding for a first date is not the... Most ideal, but when Jack asked you how could you say no? It was a friend's mom. Or his mom's friend... You were really iffy on the details. Jack could tell you were a little out of your element, not know anyone or anything about this wedding, but you found solace at a table.
Shut up and Dance by Walk the Moon comes over the speakers. Immediately Jack picks up on the tune and grabs your arm. You look at him with a worried expression, “Jack, what are you doing?” He picks up on your hesitance looking at you and mouthing the words ‘Shut up and dance with me!’
You give in and hold his hand as he jumps up and down to the beat of the song. As the bridge of the song approaches he stops jumping and sings the lyrics specifically to you and acting them out . “Deep in her eyes. I think I see my future. I realize, this is my last chance! She took my arm, we hit the floor and she said...”
He leans closer, your arms sliding up to wrap around his neck. The gap in the song seems so long and as you look further into his eyes, but the space in between the two of you seems so finite and like it's shrinking by the moment. Until he whispers, almost inaudible, “Is this ok?” You nod for confirmation.
As your lips meet the impact of the third chorus travels through the speakers. It feels like a scene from a movie. When you pull back you find his eyes fluttering open to reveal his beautiful brown eyes glazed over. Your lipstick rubbed off his lips making them slightly red.
“You're so beautiful.” You whisper into his ear, making his face break out into a wide grin.
“You're one to talk, pretty girl.” His pupils are blown wide staring at your lips. “Can we do that again?” He's already leaning in like a starving man.
“Yes, please!” You stand on your tip toes to reach his lips. Kissing him feels like a dream, and you hope there are more weddings to come.
