regardless, he should probably say something---if only so that, should the pranks go awry, he can say he tried to stop them. he observes the two parties exchange a firm parting handshake then split off. here's his chance.

"hey, hey," morion speaks quiet but pointed to grab this student's attention and no one else's. "i'm all for havin' fun, but just remember to keep it friendly, alright? no fire or anythin' crazy like that---it's less for us to have to clean up."

She's not really one to talk, but shouldn't this guy be dead? She's pretty sure that she and Griss had lugged his body over to the cathedral themselves. And yet here he is, walking and talking like he'd never even been a Corrupted. He isn't even growling or anything!

...Should she be relieved, then? That some of the guilt of being so directly involved in the plans Veyle had made when she wasn't herself could be alleviated? No, at best, it's a reminder that she'd only ever done something right once in her life. One person coming back to life doesn't erase anything at all.

These are all thoughts for another day, though. Right now, there is an adult telling Marni what to do and as a teenager, she resents that.

"Yeah, okay, whatever," Marni says dismissively, waving off Morion's concerns. She most certainly is the kind of person who needs a warning, but she's not in the mood to hear it from someone who isn't buttering her up first. "If someone can't handle a little joke, it just means they're a weakling."

(She would come to regret those words later.)

#such a good album it is Insane that like. you never really see it talked about outside of certain spaces #and even then it was originally derided for being much less heavy than its predecessors #such a smart album lyrically and even in just like certain songs like peacock skeleton with crooked feathers #which btw is my go-to song to introduce people 2 them #for obvious reasons. the way the vocals play off each other #the keyboard #aforementioned lyrics because man they’re good at writing political lyrics that are simultaneously very pointed and relevant to this day #and also just plain fun. the way they word stuff rolls off the tongue very well #which I suppose is very much in part to Whitney being a very literary guy from what I’ve read up about him #SPEAKING OF!!!!! i think my favorite thing about the old “sonic is a rip off of dragonball z so its actually shallow and terrible!” discourse back in the day was that no one could actually keep track of which character was supposed to be who and thus creating some interesting implications

this implies that krillin, gohan, and bulma are all basically the same character if tails is a ripoff of all of them
