My absolute favourite sword is definitly the Katzbalger, a trust short sword used by the 16th century landskneckh. Nothing fancy but the feeling of having a nimble and sturdy sword feels safe. How many of you out there train with historical weapons? . . There’s nothing like snow falling through the night and waking up to the ferns and conifers dusted with white. Upon first light, I threw on my garb and went straight outside to play with my bow! . . I have always been drawn to archery and sword fighting. I haven’t had much time for either the last few months, but now that I finally got these beautiful custom made historical arrows from @hononegaharchery, I am so excited to be shooting again! {More detail photos to come}. . . I find archery so therapeutic and strengthening in many ways. Grounding and confidence boosting as well. And especially in garb. I can’t wait to build the rest of my kit! . . My new Hooded Capelet proved to be a prefect accessory while shooting. The opening in the front allows for ample arm mobility and the oversized hood blocked my eyes from the snow flurries and peeking sun.
