mochizuki ayako in hidaka haruto's body doing the babygirl pose.
oh, as a side note, japanese-speaking issey fans nicknamed mochizuki in hidaka's body as "iseko"/イセ子 so i'll call him/her that too

Ok so if we are counting the Rohan drama (bc of the inherently queer nature of jjba and Rohan as a character specifically) 4/4 of the shows I have watched that Issey stars in have had some queerness in them and im not talking like "i have head-canons about it" I mean FOR REAL
Koisenu Futari's Takahashi Satoru is actually for real aroace (seriously its like what the entire show is about, him and the other mc finding their way through life being aroace)
Rohan is well, Rohan (huge case to be made for him being pan or also aroace, and he's extremely gender non conforming that is not up for debate at all, even if its hard to pin down the man's sexuality- he's not gender conforming at all)
Hidaka (canon bisexual and the show deals with other queer themes in surprisingly tactful and respectful ways I was not expecting, and if I say any more it'll be spoilers, LOL)
And lastly Invisible is tricky to tell you about bc there is actually gay shit going on and also possibly more than one character but at least one of them is confirmed and if I SAY ANY MORE ITLL BE SPOILERS LIKE YOUVE NEVER BEEN SPOILED FOR ANYTHING IN YOUR LIFE YOURE JUST GONNA HAVE TO TRUST ME ON THIS ONE

Rare WIP moment on here cuz I don't do that as much as on twitter but that place continues to go to shit so I'm trying to get more comfortable with posting wips here 🥲
Tumblr media
Have a Hidaka study bc I'm mad there's not much of a western fandom for the Issey dramas I've been watching
Also yes, in case you're wondering I did have to check if I was drawing him right by slapping a quick zigzag on his forehead 😂

5 Crime J-Dramas You Could Watch
Investigation dramas that have a good mix of seriousness and comedy with strong chemistry among the casts.
1) Hakozume ~Tatakau! Kouban Joshi (2021)
Tumblr media
Pic by Tokyo Hive
20 year old rookie police office Kawai Mai (Mei Nagano) joins the police force out of family expectations for her to be a civil servant and as such she does not have the right motivation to push through when things get tough when she becomes physically and mentally drained.
Feeling unappreciated serving the ungrateful and rude citizens, she contemplates her life and considers quitting, until she was assigned to an enigmatic and fearless senior officer, 30 year old Fuji Seiko (Erika Toda) , who is said to be a former ace detective who was demoted.
After going on patrols with Fuji, Kawai became inspired by her driven nature and wishes to be like her. Over the course of the series, they solve numerous realistic ordinary cases that everyday police officers faced, unlike the typical armed robbery cases you often see on TV series.
2) Tengoku to Jigoku: Psychona Futari (2021)
Tumblr media
Pic by IMDB
Mochizuki Ayako (Haruka Ayase) is a determined and passionate 35 year old who is the only female detective in her department that she works hard to earn herself a name and seek justice to hunt down law breakers like the shrewd Hidaka Haruto (Issei Takahashi) who often gets away with his crimes.
Ayako has come close to apprehending Haruto under the full moon when something mysterious happens that knock them both unconscious. When they re-awakened, they discovered that they have swap bodies, much to Haruto's delight. Now Haruto in Ayako’s body is arresting Ayako in Haruto’s body!
The game begins as one tries to outwit the other as Ayako tries to buy time to figure out what happened and how to get her body back while Haruto takes the opportunity of being a police officer to frame Ayako for the crimes instead so that when their bodies switched, Ayako will be arrested instead of Haruto.
3) Unnatural (2018)
Tumblr media
Pic by Drama Wiki
Misumi Mikoto (Satomi Ishihara) is a forensic investigator who works for the special department that investigates unnatural cause of death, solving dead-end cases or re-opening cases due to requests from police departments or family members of the deceased who wants a full closure .
She works with her team of misfits of different characters and backgrounds, from arrogant veteran investigator who has record breaking of solving numerous cases to a young part time officer, fresh from school who wants to work to gain experience and learn the ropes of becoming an investigator .
I think it is the most interesting show out of the five here as each episode are like puzzle solving where the story start off with one assumption leading you think that it might be this case but halfway through it makes you think that it might be that case but eventually it turns out to be something unexpected.
4) Hello, Detective Hedgehog (2017)
Tumblr media
Pic by Asian Wiki
Goro Nanase (Eita) and Kyusaku Kogure (Go Morita) are private detectives at Akatsuka Detective Agency, which is led by Kaoru Kaze (Tomoko Yamaguchi) . They handle dead-end or weird cases that the police do not want to handle, from corporate conspiracy, to treasure hunting and ghost sightings.
On their bad days when they are struggling to pay the space rent of their agency, they even perform non-investigative cases like fulfilling strange requests from clients which eventually turned into a genuine criminal case when some mishap happen along the way.
Their days of being private detective changes when they assisted Ranko Shidawara (Kyoko Fukada) who believes that her father was murdered and did not commit suicide as the police and company led her to believe. Their antics alone are worth watching as it's meant to be a lighthearted show.
5) You're Under Arrest (2002)
Tumblr media
The story revolves around two police officers, Natsumi Tsujimoto (Misaki Ito) and Miyuki Kobayakawa (Sachie Hara) . Being an officer is not as glamorous as you would think, just like any other jobs, there are the good days and there are the bad days on the job, dealing with difficult people and challenging tasks.
Although they are with the traffic police department, but their line of work often cross path with criminal in progress activities that they decide to take matters into their own hands instead of waiting for the respective back up team to arrive which cause jurisdiction problems with the other department.
I love their complex relationships as they have opposing personalities, mindset and way of doing things, which makes them conflict each other from time to time but once they learn to set aside their differences to work together, they're an unstoppable pair.

OC Name Meanings
Fuck it. I'm explaining everyone's names and kanji because I Do What I Want. If there are any misspellings or misinterpretations I apologize I do not know Japanese and regular English can sometimes make my adhd head spin
Akane (茜): "dark red" color, same as her hair Hidaka (日高): "day, sun" and "high up," reflective of her powers and her hero name, Sunwing
Yumi (友美): "friend" and "beautiful," although seen as ironic is reflective of her inner nature Kemonoshi (獣志): "beast," representing her powers, and "determination, ambition," her drive to be a hero despite her heteromorphic "beastial" appearance
Haruto (晴人): "sunny" and "person," ironic since he's so closed-off and withdrawn most of the time
Natsumi (夏美): "summer," matching the rest of her family's "warm" name meanings and also she and Haruto met during the summer, and "beautiful," again (I never said I was the most creative with names)
Hibiki (響): "sound, echo" reflexive of her powers (also the same kanji as "kyo" in Jiro's given name, but with a different reading) Katoyo (か豊): "very" and "abundant," also just the common kanji used for the word "rich" but reversed, seeing as how she wants to reverse the rich-poor dichotomy in hero society
Ketsu (血): "blood," actually an alias since he forgot his given name for the most part Aryu (安流): "peace," ironic since he's a villain and a nasty one at that, and "flow," as "ryuketsu" translates to "bloodshed" making his name read literally as "peace and bloodshed"
Sei (性): "person, self" Fushoku (腐食): "corrosion," referring to his Quirk, also an alias as "fushoku-sei" literally translates to "corrosive"
Shiro (白): "white," same as his hair Kitaguchi (北口): "north" and "mouth, entrance," reflective of his powers, also simple kanji to write out as he's a pretty simple person
Hitomi (瞳): "pupil of the eye," something that expands or retracts in response to light, similar to her powers Nakamura (中村): "middle" and "village," since she lives in between Shiro and Akane's houses in their neighborhood, also a fairly common surname because, like Midoriya, she's seen as being plain
Noboru (登): "ascending," in reference to the moon rising Meian (明暗): "light and darkness," in reference to his Quirk (honestly surprised I haven't seen another shadow/dark-themed OC with this name already), also "light and darkness ascending" sounds dramatic in reference to his emo-esque nature
Yasuri (康莉): "peaceful," ironic because she is definitely not that, and "white jasmine," which means "friendly" or "graceful" in hanakotoba, the Japanese language of flowers, seemingly also ironic but is reflective of her inner nature Kato (加藤): "increase" and "wisteria," reflective of her family's plant-based Quirks
Mariko (真理子): "genuine" and "reason," owing to her down-to-earth and dutiful nature, and "child," a common kanji used in female names Ueno (上野): "above" and "field, plain," in reference to her family's hovering/flying-based Quirks
Kinto (金人): "money" and "person," as he originally wanted to be a hero to get rich and famous Ginkai (銀快): "silver" and "free," a play on the English word quicksilver, another name for mercury
Shotate (翔盾): "to fly," as his jump is incredibly high and his greatest strength on the basketball field, and "shield," reflective of his powers that shield his mind from other Quirks Yomitoru (読取): "to read, understand," from his family's history of mental-based Quirks

MAIN HEISEI RIDERS SCORED BY HOW GOOD IT’D BE TO DATE THEM
Godai Yusuke - 9/10. Very handsome, always optimistic, helps you out with everything, lots to talk about and is nice to your family. Practically perfect.
Shouichi Tsugami - 10/10. All the nice traits of Godai but trades in a bit of down-to-earthness for being very funny and the perfect househusband. Doesn’t get much better than this.
Shinji Kido - 4/10. He’s very nice and very sweet, but he can’t hold his job and honestly he’s a bit useless at everything he tries. Has a wonderful spirit and he’d never betray you but you’d be putting in so much work to compensate.
Takumi Inui - 2/10. Complete dick. Never smiles. Left halfway in and made you pay for the meal. Can’t even drink hot coffee. Only gets points because he would at least kick homophobic relatives
Kazuma Kenzaki - 5/10. All of the flaws of Shinji but he’s more handsome and owns a motorbike instead of a scooter. Tends to get with it a lot more as well but it’d still be so much work.
Hitoshi Hidaka - 9/10. Perhaps the perfect dilf husband; excellent dad, very nice guy, has a secure well-paying job, mentally very much there and has a great support network who’d be all over you. Unfortunately he has commitment issues but it’s workable.
Tendou Souji - 100/10. He’s too good for you. Give up.
Ryotarou Nogami - 4/10. Kept changing personalities in the middle of the date every two seconds to try and impress you in very different very wacky ways. You couldn’t really tell if it was sincere or a bit. At the start and end he was very shy but sweet though he got into an accident immediately upon leaving the restaurant. He’s just not ready.
Wataru Kurenai - 5/10. Perhaps even shyer than Ryotarou, but he brought his violin and got too flustered to play it. Could have sworn you saw a toy bat on his belt giving him advice. Nice but once again not ready.
Tsukasa Kadoya - 8/10. He’s impossible to hold down a relationship with but you have to give him that high a score for just how insane that date was. Effortlessly flamboyant and funny and took you to like 5 different worlds to impress you. Very fun, would do it again, but can’t see in a serious relationship
Shotaro Hidari & Philip - 0/10. They’re married.
Eiji Hino - 7/10. Reminds you a lot of Godai -- handsome, optimistic, nice, very dedicated, talks a lot about his adventures when asked in a super interesting way. Lots of issues, though -- insisted he pay for the meal despite having no money and promised to work it off for a week and it’s clear he’s already planning on going on another adventure soon. Awesome guy but it wouldn’t work.
Gentarou Kisaragi - 8/10. Phenomenal vibes right off the bat -- teacher who loves his students and is super enthusiastic about them and puts them first; always willing to help out; avoids conflict when he can but won’t hesitate to punch your ex if it comes to that. Great attitude all around, but he’s super high-energy and his emphasis on friendship makes a romantic relationship hard to see.
Haruto Soma - 6/10. Brought you to a donut shop outside and only ordered plain. Cool and stylish when he wants to be but you get the feeling you’d be better spending your time elsewhere.
Kouta Kazuraba - 4/10. He’s a really good person and you can tell he’s genuine, but he’s just got nothing to talk about. Made you pay for the meal because he’s broke.
Shinnosuke Tomari - 0/10. Cop.
Takeru Tenkuji - 8/10. Clearly got his life together; he’s in charge of a monastery and is pretty financially secure, got a great support network, had so much to talk about but always let you speak first. Really cute to boot. Not the best in the world but it’d work out.
Emu Hojo - 5/10. This guy’s a doctor but all he talks about is video games. And he’s nice, and being a doctor means he’s got money, but all he fucking talks about is Mighty Action X
Sento Kiryu - 0/10. He’s married.
Tokiwa Sougo - 3/10. Bit creepy honestly. Goes on and on about how he wants to be a king, refuses to get a job, he’s in college but doesn’t seem to be going anywhere. Friends are really weird too. At the end of the date a guy popped out of the aether to announce his king had found a queen. Never date again, at least he paid for the meal

Two films starring Haruka Ayase premiering in 2021
Heaven and Hell: 2 Psycho People
Tumblr media
Ayako Mochizuki (Haruka Ayase) is a 35-year-old detective who is a hard worker and seeks out justice, but she lacks flexibility. Ayako Mochizuki investigates a murder case. From the evidence she collects, she targets Haruto Hidaka (Issey Takahashi) as the murder suspect. Haruto Hidaka is a chemistry researcher and he runs his own company. He is smart and proficient with his work, but he is also a psychopath murderer. Right before Ayako Mochizuki arrests him, their bodies are switched. (Kind of like what happened in the anime, Your Name). So that’s where things start getting chaotic.
Caution, Hazardous Wife: The Movie
Tumblr media
Set after after drama series "Caution, Hazardous Wife," with Yuki Isayama (Hidetoshi Nishijima) pointing a pistol at Nami Isayama (Haruka Ayase) after she came home. Nami Isayama was a special agent, but she hid her past and married Yuki Isayama. Her husband Yuki Isayama pretended to be an ordinary office worker in an IT company, but he was really an agent for the public security department. Now things get dicey and awkward when they realized who the other really is. (Kind of like Hollywood’s Mr and Mrs Smith).
Funny thing is I first knew about all three actors from historical Taiga Dramas. Haruka Ayase and Hidetoshi Nishihijima both acted in Yae No Sakura, a drama set during the Boshin War and Issey Takahashi acted in II Naotora The Lady Warlord, a drama set during Sengoku period. They’re all great actors and I love their roles that I began to watch some of their films!
