Paint me an absence, a silhouette of rain
When others take shelter, I take on shape
This invisible life in negative space
Shortens the fall that water must make

Words cannot describe how much I love this fic, so maybe three months worth of drawings can!
Fic: I May Be Invisible, but I Still Look Good by @dandylovesturtles
(If it defaults to a lower video quality, please change it to 1080p so it's actually watchable! Clearly, I don't know how uploading videos works)

Can you make the little alligator happy I want them to win and be able to be healthy and be themselves
The comics Surviving*, Burden, Mercy, and Invisible summarize the challenges faced by LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, disabled, impoverished, vulnerable people of all genders living in toxic environments or abusive situations. The ever-looming threat of being harmed if you don't conform to someone else's ideal... is what it is all about.
Our survival, our safety, our happiness, depends on uncontrollable outside factors such as family, employers, friends, even strangers.
If we are not likeable enough, if we make a wrong move, then things we need to live can be withheld from us.
(Yours is not the only message I've received about this but since they're all the same I thought I'd respond to at least one.)
It's heavier than I can really put into words. The crocodile is me, and I don't have a choice in who or what I am.

It would be too easy to say that I feel invisible. Instead, I feel painfully visible, and entirely ignored.

*starts screaming at the top of my lungs*
BUT I HAVE A PLAN
AND I WILL BE REMEMBERED
I WILL BE GREAT
JUST WAIT AND SEE
YOU’D BETTER WISE UP, ‘CAUSE I’LL RISE UP
BRING ON ANY CHALLENGE!
AND SOMEDAY SOON, I SWEAR —
I DON’T KNOW HOW OR WHEN —
BUT I PROMISE YOU, I’LL NEVER BE INVISIBLE AGAIN
SOMEONE WILL NOTICE
…Me 🎶
