Fanart of fanart! I fell in love with the original fanart by @lordzuuko and decided to recreate it as a cross stitch piece. It took half a year almost to the date.

Cross stitch on Aida 18, 14 x 20 inches, 150 colors.

Quick note: I find it almost impossible to take a good picture of any embrodery project I make, the colors are slightly off and it will never be completely flat.

I am right now so hyped about Yubisaki to Renren. In a way that I do not think any heterosexual romance ever managed to hype me up.

The way the show handles Yuki's deafness not as an obstacle to overcome, but just a thing that exists.

And the way that Itsuomi is just so good at communicating with her - and so clear in his communication. He cares about her consent and shows it again and again.

I mean, really. One of the things that so often have irked me in romance anime/manga (no matter whether they are straight, BL or GL) is that so often boundaries are overstepped, and "no" is ignored. And now we have this show where there is a love interest who all the time asks for consent and asks about boundaries... It is so fucking sweet.

And there is an irony in it, right? How the romance anime where the main character is deaf and mute, yet it is somehow the best romance anime about communication in a relationship? Huh.

i hate seeing people now making fun of those who care about privacy online. i've seen people saying things like "well they already have your data. what are companies going to do with it" and it's like, that's not the point. it's that companies /shouldn't/ be able to have my data and sell it. am i aware they probably already have my data? yes, absolutely. but i'm still going to try and keep them from monetizing it any further, why are we defending companies selling data they shouldn't have to begin with though?

the way hayden's long legs move through his footwork when he's fighting is honestly a joy to watch again, such deliberate and graceful placement of his feet, synced with the smooth movement of his blade, and the way he pushes the attack but he can make it look like a dance with his partner. it's fascinating to watch his style grow more brutal and aggressive when he shifts into vader, so similar yet different, his whole body acting the part, radiating menace not just his yellow eyes and kubrick stare. the whole physicality of anakin, how lanky and strong he is, how graceful and quick, is what really sold me on the episode tbh that and his fucking voice. they did a fine job with his face, it didn't look much altered, but it was the way hayden played the role, how he stood, walked, fought, just his posture and the mere tilt of his head, all these intangible anakin things that were all perfectly familiar and right. there was a genuine thrill to hearing him deliver new lines with his characteristic mix of softness and intensity, hearing how gentle and inviting he can be in one moment, how snarling and mad in the next, it was all such a treat. like however you interpret the time he spent with ahsoka helping her reflect and gather resolve, i think his scenes do mesh in well with how anakin is portrayed elsewhere, that pretty, gentle, terrifying, angry man. ahsoka saw him, remembered him, imagined him, well, for better and worse, and it was just right.

Expectation: Ezra and Thrawn have become besties after living together on a desolate planet for years.

Reality: Ezra's been living alone for years on a desolate planet hiding from Thrawn with the teenage mutant ninja turtles, cause Thrawn is a petty bitch who can't let shit go.
