Nothing can describe the sheer disappointment I feel when I see people say Mario is a “bad brother” (HE IS A GOOD BROTHER‼️‼️)

To be honest my biggest "my WoL would not do that" in the whole game is when I, playing a WoL called Bounding Frog who named herself from her lifelong love of studying frogs, was called out for acting like a bad frog by Erenville, a man apparently her equal in Frog Knowledge. I have to believe that Alphi-toad and Ali-toad were so bad at being toads that even though Frog was doing her best to be realistic and guide them, it was hopeless and their poor acting was what betrayed them to the frog guy.

Now and then I have a little giggle when I recall that JJ Abrams made Rey Palpatine's grandkid via some sort of nonsensical cloning plot. It's not the worst thing in the ST but I do think it's emblematic of why it's bad. Signifier without substance. Derivative *and* gutless. Tried to rip off ESB without understanding how the Vader reveal works as a narrative beat, gave Sheev spawn, and didn't even have enough courage of their convictions to admit that he fucks.

Like we all know Vader spent two decades pining gloomily after Padmé. But Palpatine? Sheev Palpatine? The guy whose two modes are smiling smug self-satisfied secret smiles to himself and crowing POWER, UNLIMITED POWER? The guy who cackles with maniacal relish anytime he gets to let his hair down and have a lightsaber fight? That guy is a hedonist. Tell me I'm wrong. That man is at all times enjoying the hell out of being irredeemably evil. He is a literal emperor, the vastly powerful and mostly unchallenged ruler of the galaxy, reveling in a victory he spent many years plotting and scheming for. And they had to invent some half-assed narrative afterthought of a cloning program rather than simply allowing us to assume that at some point in the two+ decades between ROTS and ROTJ, that man got laid? The cowardice. The incompetence. The sheer commitment to taking every conceivable L

visiting nobles/lords/royals quickly notice that merlin has arthur’s ear and that arthur values merlin’s opinion above all others. when they’re having trouble convincing arthur to go along w their plan or sign their Important Document, they go to merlin to try and convince him to convince arthur. merlin knows what they’re doing. merlin does not want to push arthur one way or another, he wants arthur to make his own choices and lead his people as he sees fit. merlin satisfies both of their needs by seeming apologetic that he can’t convince arthur of this but maybe they can and gives them “tips and tricks” on how to soften arthur up to agreeing to the plan.

so far he’s convinced a princess (looking for marriage) that arthur loves frogs and pranks so she filled his chambers with a bunch of toads (arthur is terrified of frogs), a lord (was “wronged” by another lord and wanted a portion of his land) that arthur is a fan of the arts, particularly music, and he ended up breaking into song and dance in front of everyone, and a nobleman (arguing against the repealed magic ban and hoping to bring back uther’s laws) that arthur LOVES potatoes and to just give him one throughout the day whenever he seems him so arthur will associate the nobleman with the joy of receiving his favorite food so he’ll be more inclined to the nobleman’s request (arthur despises potatoes).

I get the Toads raised Peach and she doesn't want to put her adoptive family in danger, but those little dudes still gotta take a page from the main Toad's book

I think there was a reason why Toad saw Mario wandering around in the wilderness looking for his brother and his immediate reaction was "You. Me. Best buds. Right now. We're going on an adventure!!!"

He clearly has a lot of love for his kingdom and a fair amount of friends, but it must be lonely being the only toad with an ounce of bravery.

Every time Mario does an awkward little wave

Actors who are used to doing live action work aren’t incapable of doing good voice work and they never have been, it’s just that voice acting requires additional skills that they probably haven’t learned or had time to practice. The real issue comes when that live action actor has to decide if they are going to try to learn those skills and give a good voice performance OR if they’re just going to cash a paycheck, and so far it’s very fucking clear which actors in the Mario movie are trying to give a good voice performance and which ONE is just cashing a paycheck.

Hellu it me again! Now I noticed that Luigi (as a kid) hangs out with E. Gadd and polterpup but would Mario (teen) hang out with Toad and Mia (the kitty) and start acting like a child like he's supposed to be.

I forgot about the Boos and Gooigi but that's ok because I think Mario would because to see a clone of himself or dead people.

Just let the baby be happy!
