really feel like deep cut suffers from the curse of being the third set of idols introduced into a franchise that already has two sets of idols that are so well known and loved by the community - which then leaves so little space for deepcut to properly develop or get the same amount of content that let's say, off the hook gets lol. i wonder if nintendo will bother doing a storymode/dlc that focuses solely on them in the next game in the future, or maybe they will get eclisped by the NEXT set of idols they will inevitably introduce

WOOO IT’S MY BIRTHDAY TODAY!!

It’s been a good day so far, i’m just a little tired.

As I age, I can’t help but be reminded of how ruthless the passage of time is. No matter if you’re ready or not, it just keeps flowing because that’s the only thing it does.

I lack goals, ambitions and have zero idea of what I want to do in the future. As such, I can’t help but feel frightened about it. So i am just feeling a little conflicted about this day.

On a rather cool note i’m going to my first concert next year?? That’s super exciting.

PROGRESS UPDATE: 12/01/2023

Well, here we are, nearing the end of the road for Chapter One. I've just finished tweaking Lesilfae's section and am now in the home stretch for the lead up to Chapter Two (give or take two spots that need coding tweaks). Finally, after forever and a half of fighting with TLH for progress, I've done it.

Like I said before, you won't be getting the entirety of Chapter Two but rather a small snippet to read. It has a few branches that take place so it's taking much longer to get through unfortunately. However, with my Patreon now set up and in place, of anyone would like more frequent updates to TLH you can sub to a low tier and get a monthly update to the alpha demo alongside other misc goods.

But!! The word count has to strayed much from the original once I started to cut things down and reorganize different sections. That's a bit of a bummer, but there is an expanded Greta path and you get to spend a little more time with Gale and Hollond, hehe! So even though the word count hasn't grown much, it's still got quite a bit of new content and tweaked scenes. One of which you'll notice at the beginning of Chapter One!

Also, reconsidering my port options for TLH -- really liking the way coding in Renpy feels. Obv, it won't be a visual novel but... Maybe we can have a few graphics. As a treat. If I choose Renpy. Twine has been frustrating me to no end, something about it doesn't jive with me but we shall see!!

Also, I know, I know... "Clam, you keep talking about moving TLH but you never do", and in my defense, Learning Hard. Not super hard but like, my attention span is crap, so it takes me way too long... But I digress. I'm not completely all talk haha!!

I can only assume a lot of people don't know BG3 takes place over 4-6 months. Otherwise, their frustrations about characters like Astarion not being back on form asap just make them seem mean.

I do think the game does a bad job of telling the audience how much time has passed between the crash and arriving at each act. It would make it clear that Tav etc met fairly recently, and everyone is largely at the start of their personal journey at the end of the game.

Reading the tales of Khaenri'ahn heroes Jean's shared with him, of things he remembered his father mentioning, helped him picture it all. As did knowledge the Akademiya has of Dahri ruins he managed to get his hands on one way or another years later, during his visit to Sumeru.

You can ignore this if it's weird and i really apologize if it's overstepping, I just wanted to say. That when you meet someone you really click with and fall deeply in love with they will open up about their past to you and as you learn about their past you will be able to see all the ways in which their past selves are alive in them and connect their story to their current mannerisms... Because we don't truly fully grow out of who we were, we just grow around them and they shape our current selves as we grow (hopefully) for the better... This is just to say. Don't write off love as incomplete or imperfect due to meeting in adulthood because everyone is like a russian nesting doll and when you really love each other you get to reach the tiny central one...! I sound crazy. Anyway I hope you have a pleasant day/night feel free to ignore if this is weird

i think this is really good and heartful advice for people who are rooted in reality and practicality. i am however a level 400 ponderer who lives inside abstract delusions. ive come to the conclusion that the answer to my problems is the human instrumentality project.

ok but if sci-fi and space operas steal so much from sailing and naval structure, why are there no space shanties? time is an even weirder soup in space, and having shanties in zero g ships and factories would be great, actually
