I present… Dolltavia. Of course I will be calling her Octavia, but I didn’t want to miss out on using that pun. I tried giving her emo/scene kid type hair as to emulate her feathered hair. I might need to do a few more touch ups on it. I also need to fix up her show outfit. Here, I gathered up a bunch of Ever After High (and I believe the best is actually Monster High) clothes that resembled what she would wear.

For the last month, I've been doing this design project for my friend's CrK AU inspired by a group of artist known as KDA (I'm quite a fan for some of the songs ngl) and even it was inspired aswell by the KDA special skins in League Of Legends (I am not a big fan of that game but I do find the songs made for that game to be good)

my harmonia bloom beatrice came in and she’s a beauty, but i immediately set out making her a wig cap because her wig is just. dip dye brown/dark brown, kinda boring? i love making doll stuff, but i also wonder what scale the HB dolls are at, and what other non-HB wigs would match. i’ll post progress pics when it’s more than just a fabric shell i guess!

Homebaked Bread Mod

I like bread. I want my Sims to be able to make bread without needing multiple ovens, but also have to knead dough in the process.

So I made this mod - a new "Bake Bread..." interaction that allows you to bake bread recipes using the Baker's Station kneading animations, but done so on a counter, and then cooked in a regular oven.

This mod is a pure script mod that adds the new interaction to fridges, and includes 4 bread recipes that can be cooked in this way:

Homebaked Sourdough

Homebaked Rye

Homebaked Baguette

Homebaked Challah

All have ingredients Egg and Flour from Echoweavers wheat and flour mod if you have it.

The first 3 are cloned versions of the Baker's Station's breads (they don't affect the original ones), made to be compatible with this mod.

The challah is a cloned version of my challah recipe converted from TS4, made compatible with this mod (also does not affect the original, see below if you don't have the Challah & Matzo Ball Soup Mod).

There are some technicalities about these recipes that make things work a bit differently to normal, but I'll put that under the cut, as well as information on making Homebaked-Bread-Compatible recipes.

REQUIRES CC Loader

REQUIRES the Baker's Station item from the store, for both the kneading animations as well as the bread recipe models. But it won't crash the game without it ;)

Notes on these recipes:

For these recipes to only show up under the mod's interaction, they are not "Learnable" recipes. So they work similar to the store recipes in that they can't be learnt from a recipe book, they don't count towards a Sim's learnt recipes, and I think a few other small things which I'm not sure of. Shouldn't be a big deal but I just wanted to mention that.

Specifically for the Challah, my original version of the recipe has a level 2 recipe book. You can have both the original and the HB recipe installed as they are technically separate recipes, but the regular version (under the EA cooking interaction) will use the original cooking process and require the recipe book, whereas the HB version will just require skill level 2 and will use the kneading animations. If you don't have the original challah mod installed, you'll need the challahFiles package as well.

The cooking process looks the same for all HB recipes - Sims get the dough from the fridge, knead it on a counter, put it in a baking dish, and cook it in the oven. The only difference are the raw/cooked models used in the baking dish.

Adding new Homebaked Bread recipes:

Mostly the same as making regular custom recipes, just with a few extra steps to make it an HB recipe.

Make your recipe as normal with CC Loader (alternatively add your recipe to the recipes XML included in this mod)

The Recipe_Key must include "HBBread"

Learnable set to False

Must have a custom cooking process which Recipe_Class refers to

For the cooking process, I suggest using one of mine as a base as there are only a couple of things that need changing then: The line Models contains the only things that can be customised for the cooking process - the raw dough model in the baking tray, the cooked bread in the baking tray, and the burnt bread in the baking tray. The easiest thing is to have the first as the dough (WOFridgeDough), and the second and third as the recipe's serving model with the default and burnt material states. But if you want to have extra models, you can of course.

Even more notes:

For NoFridgeShopping simmers, there's a tuning value in the zoeoe_BakeBreadMod_Tuning XML to turn on NoFridgeShopping. As you might expect, with this set to True, Sims will require the ingredients to bake the breads, and they will be greyed out without them. You can either change this with S3PE or NRaas Retuner under Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.zoeoe.BakeBreadMod.Main.

Fun fact: yet another mistake in EA's Baker's Station recipe data - the sourdough and rye breads have the same textures (both use rye ones) because they didn't set the material state name for the sourdough bread. My HB versions use the right textures, but if you want to fix the BS ones, just change the "breadRoundRye" to "breadRoundSourdough" where the sourdough single and group models are defined in the CCMerged RMLS resource.

i probably won't extend of that expect if people want me to (still scared of getting told to kms for writing about hh or hb) but !

the idea of (yandere? not necessarily but i am a yandere fan) Alastor whose darling/the reader is a baker!

the reader is of course a sinner, but they aren't someone that ended up in hell for something like murder or a really big sin, something more silly, petty. they were in hell for a while, they accepted that they were stuck there and decided to just keep on 'living'

so they open up a bakery, maybe they were a baker when they were alive or maybe they just like to bake - either way, they open their little bakery in a part of the ring of hell that is kinda better off then the rest, one part where their store is less likely to get burned down.

they will somewhat peacefully - outside of when the extermination happen, they fear for their life - and they still aren't sure as to how they survived that many years in hell. and they often have to get their shop fixed up after the yearly extermination. that bit is annoying but outside of that, life is as peaceful as life in hell can be.

before Alastor disappeared for seven years, he used to be a somewhat regular customer, you made some pretty good breads and pastries. it was when he was starting to get more and more powerful as an overlord so you were very much on the verge of passing out everytime he came in the store and tried to limit the amount of words shared between the two of you. you never knew if you ever slipped and ended up offending him, you didn't want to be an another one of those broadcasted scream.

but once he reached his peak, a few years before his disappearance, you stopped being this tensed up around him, you started engaging in small talks with him, it wasn't anything extraordinary, mostly centering around the weather and what he choose to buy this time. at some point you even started to ask him to sample one of your creation before officially selling it.

you ended up being somewhat attached to the radio overlord.

and then he ... was gone. for seven years. you were somewhat sad about this, but you were not THAT close to him so you get over it.

but one day, while going about your day, while serving a customer you hear something weird, about a certain overlord being back.

you don't really believe in it, until you hear one of his broadcast, a small smile creep on your face hearing it. you're happy to hear him again, to know he is still alive and well. but you don't expect to see him in person or anything like this, you doubt he even remember you but one day, one morning shortly after you opened the bakery - you heard the little noise made from the bell of the entrance alerting you that someone has opened the front door, and you see him.

without thinking much, you smile at Alastor and give him a warm 'Good morning !' and again, without thinking you add 'It's been a while, glad to see you're back.' you only realize that one of the most powerful overlord could not like a measly sinner to talk to them like they are a friend when they are barely acquaintances that haven't seen each others in seven years.

but before you can correct yourself and let out a ton of 'sorry please don't kill me' Alastor answer you with a 'Hm, yes it's been quite some time. I am glad to see you still running this bakery dear.'

you simply nod at him and decide to ask what you ask every customers 'So what will you get today ?'.

WHERE ARE THE WOMEN!?

I came back to or HB and I got run over with the lack of Female character content. Specially in the queer area!

We got Millie, who gets the lowest attention. See doesn't have and actual episode about her as a person. Unhappy Campers it's not an actual episode about her- it's mainly Moxxie and her dealing with it. We don't get any flashbacks in comparison to Blitz, Moxxie, and Loona. Even when Chaz it's her ex, we only get the Moxxie's part of the story. We get an episode with full focus on Bllitz, Stolas and Moxxie perspective of things in an episode, but we never follow Millie alone her self.

What we got about Millie: Good at killing (Melee weapons), supportive, Country girl, anger? Moxxie's Wife

Unhappy campers tries to give her attention but not actually doing it. She gets everyone to love her and show she can do an endless amount of tricks. But the episode concentrates in Moxxie getting insecure again. The fact they barely want to write her shows in just giving her long fighting scenes instead.

What does she do? Like, does she have her group of friends outside of her job or no? How does that make her feel? Being in your mid 20's and not really having many friends, it's quite a thing to explore. Or does she have actual friends outside of Blitz, and her husband.

How does she feel about Blitz stalking them? Cause in the pilot she just laughs it off a lot! Why? She didn't say anything about Blitz coming to Ozzies to see them. Does she actually dislike Loona or the fact she is a hellhound? Does she feel like a normal Joe underlooked, cause maybe her family with multiple kids didn't give her top attention and recognition? Probably not because they didn't write that- I imagined that, just know. Apparently she just had a 'boring' good family and that's why we don't see anything of that.

I just fill in the spaces where the is nothing to say regarding Millie with Headcanons, basically...

Loona gets written kind of back and forward. She was so nice by the end of season 1- to then beat the shit off Blitz in season 2, episode 2. And She was given the reason of "blitz did something that hurt her" when she was in the wrong for being awful to the customers in the first place and try to guilt-trip her dad. In that same episode, we get Loona's backstory for getting adopted, but from Blitz Perspective. I loved how she was with Octavia. But she backtracks into being mean to everyone. Hopefully she gets to interact with her by the end of the season!

Verosika... Where is my girl? Haven't seen her! She gets to have genuine frustrations towards Blitz, I'm happy for that. I hope they don't write her into had being the bad one for blitz to look better.

Stella, she gets written as the worst to elevate Stolas as the least bad person to justify him and Stolitz. Her view of also getting forced to marry someone as a child is never given, she gets the least out of it to- she doesn't get any book or power- she sticks to her family. I think writing her as "stupid" and also the "I love tormenting you" is so shallow. Her power as an antagonist gets killed in order to put her brother as the main danger instead.

One thing in writting I don't think it's intentional is her treatment of Striker. It does call my attention that Stolas call Blitz an Imp, and imp based names- same with disregarding Millie and Moxxie- Meanwhile Stella treats her assistant like shit and says shit if "plebeian blabla" but when she gets in the Phone with Striker to cancel the killing. She is polite and calls him darling. Which is different!

I love that Octavia gets attention, but I know she is written to also elevate Stolas as a character. -And the writting fill force her into forgiving him. Also... her relationship with her Mom? Someone? Can we explore what she thinks of imps or hellhounds compared to her parents?

Sallie May? 2 Lines in 1 episode.

Barbie? Her story dealing with her mom dying got pushed in the BG due to her deleted content. uh... get drugs from being sexual as a +30 woman to a 19 yr human. Doesn't want to deal with Blitz cool! Fizz gets more backstory with Blitz than with her...

Glitz and Glam. They show up and act like assholes to Fizz (to make him seem more vunerable and dealing with a lot). For some reason, the concept of Mammon being abusive to Fizz only matter if it towards him. Because he just let Glitz and Glam take his place, even if they were being bitches to him- that doesn't make them have to endure Mammon's treatment too. They are also over villainized as if Blitz or wasn't an ass to everyone too.

Bee is there probably for one episode due to wall Kesha and shit. She is a contradiction on her self "gluttony - over indulgance" to then "Loona your dad is drinking to much and it worries me" ??? She is there to be a party girl and tell Loona what to do.

Overall she also only get Queer content out of the male characters. There is not a single WLW thing going on anywhere here. Meanwhile most the teasing of ships and jokes is MLM (blitzXmoxxie,blitzXstriker, blitzXstolas, blitzXchaz, blitzXfizz, moxxieXstriker, moxxieXchaz, fizzXasmodeous)

The only possible WLW joke is Bee and Loona. That's it!

For a show that gets to praised for representation of the trans woman character, It's less of a secondary character just yet. And no non-binary character anywhere.

(DO NOT SAY oh but in the BG, NO I'm TALKING ACTUAL CHARACTERS IN THE SHOW-not the bg succubus or the art team putting random stuff around!)

What brushes do you usually use for lining and coloring? Your art is AMAZING and I’ve been a huge fan of your work for a while now <333 thank you for all of the beautiful kouao 🥹

funny question because i actually try a lot of things and tweak the brushes a lot to try to feel better with them, it also depends what kind of draing im trying to make.

i usually use procreate's hb pencil or jingsketch basics' clean sketch

Dry ink and on procreate too. I used a really small size for my last piece lmao.

Also variations of it with less texture and stuff

I also customized one of the default brushes a bit with which i made these.

I also have another customized hb pencil that i love and an ink one.

I use these pencil like brushes and the crayon and nikko rull brushes for coloring the cartoonish ones, dry ink too, with lower opacity and tilted effect its pretty cool.

I can’t add more pics so i’ll add more later.

I heard Helluva Boss stans cite this as evidence that HB was never about the business and was actually just about chsracters all along. Right now I'm not putting this idea to scrutiny. I won't speak for the artist, but for the art.

Let's say I'm writing a pilot about a group of people, a show about nothing, just people with their issues, who just happened to work together. A very abonormal premise, what is the point of having them work together if they're not gonna work together?

What would I write? I'd probably put not much focus on their jobs, establish that they do work together, but not dwell on it. Because when you dwell on something in the pilot, that's exactly what setting the premise means.

What did Helluva Boss do in its pilot?

The very first line and scene are about getting new customers. That's how the show is introduced – IMP.

They show you a whole song about the business and the business model.

There's a montage of Loona being bad at her job/gererally being an angry mess. All in the office.

They give you the backstory of how Blitzø got access to the living world, to run his business.

The show establishes Stolas's character, the one who gave Blitzø the book, as a horrible sex freak, amd that Blitzø.. doesn't like it.

Establish Moxxie and Blitzø's dynamic, and that Blitzø is a stalker.

Blitzø says the r slur.

At the end it all comes back to the business. (Even though it's never really left the topic). The kid from the IMP song came back, starting to roast them.

Loona gets a text that he was the target they were paid for by their client, they kill the kid.

The epilogue starts and Blitzø talks about, wouldn't you know it, IMP.

It would be stupid to deny that this episode was establishing dynamics. But it did so through the lense of the business. Like the first episode of Brooklyn 99.

Helluva Boss's pilot is more similar to Brooklyn 99 than let's say, friends.

Friend's pilot has very little emphasis on the character's jobs. They establish the characters and how they interact, where they hang out, and that Ross just got divorced and is in love with Rachel. All the things you need to know before watching the show.

Brooklyn 99, much like Helluva Boss, estsblishes dynamics within the framework of the police station.

I'm not saying that there's one type of sitcom or one type of story you can tell. I'm saying that if Helluva Boss was just a show about characters, they shouldn't have made the pilot so IMP-focused like your typical work place comedy.

Thinking about the dream I had recently where there was an official HB video game.

I think the plot was Blitz decided to franchise IMP and your custom character was chosen as the manager/lead assassin of the new branch.

The gameplay was a sort of Kingdom Hearts hack-n-lash with you getting more employees as the game goes on, doing gigs both in Hell and on Earth.

There was a sort of cul de sac hub outside your office where you would get sidequests, and here's where things get weird. One of the quest chains was given to you by Wally Wackford, but if you talked to Wally after finishing said questline he would have no idea who you are, with it being implied that the Wally you've been doing favors for was an impersonator.

a lot of the brushes i use are remixed versions of custom ones! i like Technical Pencil, Nikko Rull, and HB Pencil. Max Ulichney's gouache pack has a detail brush that is also fun to sketch with (and his packs are very extensive overall). Granted I'm not that hot on hoarding and finding brushes on procreate (which could be why i feel lukewarm about drawing in it sometimes)

Mebbe one day I can learn how to export and share them sjfsdf for now enjoy finding these names in your procreate!
