Hi! I love your mods for TS3, and especially appreciate the recipes you've made like challah, matzo ball soup, and apples and honey! I could've sworn you'd made a latkes recipe also, but I can't find it. Did I make that up?

Heya, I don't have any simblreen plans at the moment, but if I have time I might make something small to share 🙂

Probably not spooky cookies though, but I think icemunmun has some over on MTS if you didn't know about those.

I guess if people have ideas/requests, you can reply here and I can try to steal some inspiration!

I can generally make simple ish objects, object conversions, or a small script mod if there's time.

Not making any promises though because I'm not sure I'll be able to get something done, though I would like to!

Functional Washboard - Update

I'm finally getting round to finishing up some things I've been working on. To start, I've updated my washboard mod with a new interaction to Bathe Toddler In Tub.

Thank you @thesweetsimmer111 for creating these animations for me! I'm just sorry it's taken me nearly two years to get this uploaded!!

(maybe this would have been more worth it pre bathe-toddler-in-actual-bathtub days, but hey, a laundry tub is more toddler-sized!)

Homebaked Bread Mod

I like bread. I want my Sims to be able to make bread without needing multiple ovens, but also have to knead dough in the process.

So I made this mod - a new "Bake Bread..." interaction that allows you to bake bread recipes using the Baker's Station kneading animations, but done so on a counter, and then cooked in a regular oven.

This mod is a pure script mod that adds the new interaction to fridges, and includes 4 bread recipes that can be cooked in this way:

Homebaked Sourdough

Homebaked Rye

Homebaked Baguette

Homebaked Challah

All have ingredients Egg and Flour from Echoweavers wheat and flour mod if you have it.

The first 3 are cloned versions of the Baker's Station's breads (they don't affect the original ones), made to be compatible with this mod.

The challah is a cloned version of my challah recipe converted from TS4, made compatible with this mod (also does not affect the original, see below if you don't have the Challah & Matzo Ball Soup Mod).

There are some technicalities about these recipes that make things work a bit differently to normal, but I'll put that under the cut, as well as information on making Homebaked-Bread-Compatible recipes.

REQUIRES CC Loader

REQUIRES the Baker's Station item from the store, for both the kneading animations as well as the bread recipe models. But it won't crash the game without it ;)

Notes on these recipes:

For these recipes to only show up under the mod's interaction, they are not "Learnable" recipes. So they work similar to the store recipes in that they can't be learnt from a recipe book, they don't count towards a Sim's learnt recipes, and I think a few other small things which I'm not sure of. Shouldn't be a big deal but I just wanted to mention that.

Specifically for the Challah, my original version of the recipe has a level 2 recipe book. You can have both the original and the HB recipe installed as they are technically separate recipes, but the regular version (under the EA cooking interaction) will use the original cooking process and require the recipe book, whereas the HB version will just require skill level 2 and will use the kneading animations. If you don't have the original challah mod installed, you'll need the challahFiles package as well.

The cooking process looks the same for all HB recipes - Sims get the dough from the fridge, knead it on a counter, put it in a baking dish, and cook it in the oven. The only difference are the raw/cooked models used in the baking dish.

Adding new Homebaked Bread recipes:

Mostly the same as making regular custom recipes, just with a few extra steps to make it an HB recipe.

Make your recipe as normal with CC Loader (alternatively add your recipe to the recipes XML included in this mod)

The Recipe_Key must include "HBBread"

Learnable set to False

Must have a custom cooking process which Recipe_Class refers to

For the cooking process, I suggest using one of mine as a base as there are only a couple of things that need changing then: The line Models contains the only things that can be customised for the cooking process - the raw dough model in the baking tray, the cooked bread in the baking tray, and the burnt bread in the baking tray. The easiest thing is to have the first as the dough (WOFridgeDough), and the second and third as the recipe's serving model with the default and burnt material states. But if you want to have extra models, you can of course.

Even more notes:

For NoFridgeShopping simmers, there's a tuning value in the zoeoe_BakeBreadMod_Tuning XML to turn on NoFridgeShopping. As you might expect, with this set to True, Sims will require the ingredients to bake the breads, and they will be greyed out without them. You can either change this with S3PE or NRaas Retuner under Sims3.Gameplay.Objects.zoeoe.BakeBreadMod.Main.

Fun fact: yet another mistake in EA's Baker's Station recipe data - the sourdough and rye breads have the same textures (both use rye ones) because they didn't set the material state name for the sourdough bread. My HB versions use the right textures, but if you want to fix the BS ones, just change the "breadRoundRye" to "breadRoundSourdough" where the sourdough single and group models are defined in the CCMerged RMLS resource.

Challah and Matzo Ball Soup Recipes - Sims 4 Conversion

Two recipes from sims 4 converted for sims 3 (read more and download below):

Challah

Dessert

Level 2

Ingredients: egg, flour (from echoweaver's wheat mod, if not installed it should just require egg)

Matzo Ball Soup

Lunch/Dinner

Level 4

Ingredients: roast, carrot, potato (carrots are from pets I think, so if you don't have that it should just be ignored)

Both recipes are learnt from recipe books.

Meshes and textures taken/edited from Sims 4 ones (EA have really stepped up their recipe game, the soup looks amazing)

I was tagged by a few people but it's been quite a while so I'm not sure who they all were anymore (I also noticed that I don't always get a notification for tags, and only realised I was tagged was because I saw the post in my feed - what's up with that?) but anyway I am grateful for being included and I really enjoyed reading everyone's posts and getting to know you guys better <3

Are you named after anyone?

My parents chose my first name by going through the alphabet and picking one they liked, so they were kinda running out of options by the time they got to mine. I have another name that is indirectly after a relative.

When was the last time you cried?

I don't remember exactly when but maybe around a month ago.

Do you have kids?

I do not but I used to have a pet hedgehog if that counts. (I do have a dog too but he's more like my mum's baby, my brother! :D)

Do you use sarcasm a lot?

I don't think I use it a lot but maybe sometimes.

What sports do you play/have you played?

Hehe no... I have never been into sports. I do yoga, miniscule jogs, and walks with the doggo as far as exercise goes but yeah... not really sports.

What’s the first thing you notice about other people?

I guess it depends on the person, if something about their appearance/voice/manner stands out then I'd notice that first. Which I know is a pretty generic answer! :p

Scary movies or happy endings?

Happy endings cos I'm a coward. I generally watch/read things to feel better so being scared or depressed isn't really what I want from movies! Though I can appreciate a bitter sweet or uncertain ending.

Any special talents?

Yes! I can wiggle my ears and do up necklace clasps around the back of my neck pretty easily (like instead of doing it up at the front and twisting it round). I am very talented! Too bad I don't wear necklaces much...

Where were you born?

Somewhere... 👀

What are your hobbies?

Theoretically, I have a few hobbies. As well as simming/some other games, I play the piano, draw and watercolour paint occasionally, crochet, knitting, reading... But in reality I spend so much time procrastinating and panic-doing my university work that I spend a lot of time doing not very much.

Do you have any pets?

A doggo called Alfie, he's very handsome and I love him.

How tall are you?

A fellow hobbit to @aisquaredchoco :D

Fave subject in school?

For me it mainly depended on the teacher. I'm not sure it was my favourite but I chose to do a lot of Maths so at some level I must have enjoyed it :D

Dream job?

I have a dream of living in a cabin/cottage in the woods with chickens and a garden (and wifi for making and sharing sims mods of course!). I have never dreamed of a career, but something that would also allow me to fulfil my forest goblin dream would be cool.

Otherwise I'd like to do something that in some way helps people, and is good for people/society in general *shrug*

Flower Arranging - Interaction and Skill!

Get a big sniff o' that pollen, for flower arranging has arrived to Sims 3!

To start, purchase the Flower Arranging Table from Buy mode in Hobbies and Skills.

Before a Sim has learnt the Flower Arranging Skill, you can Dabble at the table until you get a skill point. Then after that, you can start making flower arrangements, learning new ones as you skill up.

This mod comes with 15 new harvestables - all flowers converted from Sims 4. These are used to make the arrangements.

There are a lot of flower arrangements you can make - I converted ~40 from the Sims 4, and there are 3 made from Seasons' Wildflowers. Once made, they give off a nice scent for Sims around them, but after some time (default 48hrs) they will start to smell and attract flies, so you might want to throw them away then.

No Fridge Shopping - Baker's Station

A lot of you will be familiar with @anitmb's No Fridge Shopping mod.

In case you're not, it prevents sims from being able to purchase ingredients for a recipe at the fridge i.e you can only cook recipes that you have the ingredients for, the rest will be greyed out.

However, this doesn't include the store's bakery oven object, so I made a mod that makes it so ingredients are required to bake, just like ani's mod does for regular recipes and the wood fire oven recipes.

This REQUIRES the baker's station set and just like NRaas Cupcake, it will crash the game if the baker's oven isn't installed.

It DOESN'T REQUIRE ani's mod, but it makes sense to have this as an addition because it's basically an extension of it :p

A couple of things to note:

All credits to ani, because I just copied/referenced her code from the original mod to do this one

Because ingredients are now required, you may notice some problems due to mistakes in the recipe xml which I will go into more detail further down this post if you're interested in fixing them

Let me know if there are any problems, but it should all be fine!

So there are some mistakes in the recipe definitions for the baker's station, which you can fix by editing the RMLS resource (just an xml resource) in your CC MERGED file.

All cherry recipes use "Cherry" instead of the correct ingredient key "Cherries". If you don't make this change, the cherry recipes will only require an egg.

Only relevant if you have the bohemian fruit and nuts installed: What's called "Blackberry Pie" in game is actually referred to as "BSBakeRazelberryPie" in the file, and requires a Raspberry and Blueberry. You could either change it to require a Blackberry instead, or if you have easy access to the package file of the baker's station set, you can edit the STBL to rename the pie to a "Razzleberry Pie" (apparently it's a thing). Or both (I have it require an egg, raspberry, blackberry). Or just leave it as a Blackberry Pie which contains no blackberries, only blueberries and raspberries. Whatever floats your boat.

There may be more errors, but that's all I can remember, though you can always tweak this file however you want, including the other store recipes.

It will make you hungry, though.

Farewell 2022 Gift!

What better way to mark the end of 2022 than with a hamburger cake?

This is converted from TS4 as a functional birthday cake. It even has a matching hamburger-cake slice ;)

Fun fact: this was actually my backup Simblreen plan that ended up being a big waste of time because I couldn't get it working. But it's here now in all of its hamburger-cake glory. You're welcome.

Issues:

the flames are slightly too low down on the candles

all the candles appear when the sim is having a birthday, but the number which are actually lit depends on how old they are

The non-birthday cake is the same thing as my Non-Birthday Cake mod here.

However, it REQUIRES the Hamburger Birthday Cake.

Tea Mod

Happy Spooky Day!

I'm hesitant to call this a Simblreen gift because it's not my completed vision of this mod. Unfortunately I just didn't have time to polish it to the point of saying "HERE TAKE IT IT'S DONE".

I even tried to work on a backup simblreen gift but that ended up being even more problematic than this one and a waste of precious tea mod time 😥

In my usual zoeoe way, there are certain things that are a little wonky or just could be better, so I do hope to come back to it. But it does work and look pretty decent if I do say so myself, so onto the mod!

Tea Leaves! Purchase them from the grocery store to use or to plant for your own Tea Plant.

Mortar and Pestle (bought from Misc Appliances) can be used to grind 3 tea leaves into Matcha Powder, which can also be bought from the grocery store too.

You can use the tea leaves or matcha powder to make a cup of Tea/Matcha Tea from the Hot Beverage Machine.

You can also make Matcha Cookies using the matcha powder, by buying the recipe book from the book store at level 1 cooking skill.

-The tea leaves just look like basil, and the plant is an EA one

-The mortar and pestle animations are sometimes a little wonky

-You can only make a single cup of tea, not serve multiple

Quick Simblreen Update

Does me crawling out from my underground hovel to say hello on Tumblr count as a gift? No? Rude.

Well anyway, I am working on a lil mod for Simblreen but it will just be posted on Halloween (or after if things go wrong) rather than doin' the whole trick or treat thing.

It's not spooky themed but it is green. And you get to see the horrors of my meshing and texturing abilities so there's that. So...be warned...👀
