the majority are from school because it is my 8 hour prison where I am forced to have social interactions with people

Lockwood: my mood board is myself because I'm very egotistical.

Holly walking past: SING it!!

Lockwood loudly, monotone: we were inspired by many things. Mountains. Forests. Cities. and Detroit.

Lockwood: we all share the same sun, so why don't we all share the same clothing brand?

Holly: why is that child in the sand. its torso. it's up to its torso in the sand.

Kipps gleefully, watching a musical recording at top volume in a city bus: they all hate me. they're all gonna hate me. oh, they all hate me.

George, angrily: you bought a typewriter?! you could have bought sonic frontiers!!

Holly: do not mimic the way people talk! do not mimic!!

Lucy, jokingly: do you like to mimic, Lockwood?

Lockwood: yes-

Lockwood, about himself: Lockwood is having a fit. *he is standing perfectly calmly*

Lockwood, in a singsongy voice: *speeds down hall* I'm too ADHD, now my teachers hate me...

Lucy, loudly behind him: I'M A SOGGY WOGGY BOGGY CLOGGY-- HOLLY!

George, next to Lucy: HAH-

Holly: NO I DON'T KNOW YOU GUYS

Lucy: are you ready to die today?

Lockwood: *quickly nods head*

Lockwood: *widens eyes*

Lockwood: *quickly shakes head*

Lucy: is he gonna drive us off a bridge?!

Lockwood: *claps once loudly* NO!! you hit that bridge at TOP SPEED.

Lucy to Holly, eating ice cream straight out of the carton: *waves spoon* this will go in your nose and out your ear.

Lockwood, bouncing in his seat: WE'LL NEVER GET TO TURN 15!!

Lucy: *wails* WE'LL NEVER GET TO DRIVE!!

It is not the most showy content at the moment though....but soon!#I have made more spritesheets + wrote a 20 page script for the beginning of the game + lots of mechanical stuff.#OOH and our main town has a map and I've hammered out most of the major character designs!#(I have a comic I will share later this week about how character design talk in a team setting has been going so far.)#This gif is to share a little bit of whimsy and joy with you all. #crunchchute art #my art #sam and max #sam & max #i hope it will be viewable as i dont know how much tumblr will crunch it #in any case i have it up on twitter also and it seems to be in good quality there #it looks like a 'the 7 human souls:' meme hfhdhf #hey i can put more thoughts in the tags right? so first i didnt really put enough effort into my own one and i kinda realized my style #is kinda mid ngl. cause im lazy + this coloring style might not really fit them. anyway.#for sootnukis style i adore the rendering of the clothing folds and stuff but i couldnt get it just right it remains a mystery to me #silcrow i tried to do a traditional drawing but kinda messed up some of the coloring especially on the pants #also couldnt figure out if its just markers or markers + pencils or what. so i kinda did my own take of 90% markers 10% pencils #mtsodie i love the color palettes and the shapes so that was a lot of fun to try; i like the outcome #narnour i absolutely love the tiny little eyes and how goofy and round they look so that was fun to try to replicate too #as well as the colors which i mostly color picked cause i couldnt get a red overlay right #zembo was a nice way to revisit a chalky brush that i havent used in ages not sure if i got it right though #applettoast i feel like theres some gorillaz influence or its at least something i used while coloring. as you might know i used to draw #gorillaz a lot and tried to replicate the coloring etc. and i think it fit here. correct me if im wrong lol #snuckeys was also hella fun cause i love the cartooniness and the details like the teeth showing gums and stuff. hope i did it justice #also the eyes! i love the big highlight and that the eyes are brown its cute #it was nice to branch out for a bit

#i changed his colors !!#treat this as a suggestion than a solid ref. i spent like 3 hours drawing and redrawing the legs bc i couldnt get the shape right so if u #wanna draw them more planti or digi i do not mind ^_^ get silly with it!! same goes for pelt pattern do whatevr u want with it #the pelt pattern is loosely based on a snowshoe cat which was fun to play with. as u can see they kinda have a butterfly motif going on #if u squint the ear tufts kinda resemble luna moths or swallowtails with the long tail at the end of the wings #i was kinda torn about changing the costume color but it clashed too much with the new color palette so i had to change it #i didnt include the cape here so its easier to see the costume but ill draw it another time if i remember lol #its also a lil hard to see but i put pinstripes on their pants but thats optional. their design is pretty flexible anyway #god im pretty attached to this guy already. hes like semi fan character semi regular character... oc... thing #i should draw more furries. i followed some furry artists for giggles recently and its true what they say. u need furries in your life #btw while i was drawing this i was fooling around while trying to figure out his costume color and colored it as kaito kids suit for fun #and i just stared at it for a solid 5 minutes before saving a picture. maybe ill post it later #my art #myart #my oc #oc #furry art #fur #furry #laika's comet #laika's comet oc #fan character #sleight #ref sheet #oc ref sheet

#idk if this makes sense but when im writing taob i take the plot outline i already have in my notes which is usually about 200 words #very briefly saying what the events of the chapter are. and then when im about to start actually cracking on with it #i take that and do a pov by pov outline with MUCHHHH more detail bc alas. my main plot outline was written when i was 17 #so every few months i do the fun game of trying to figure out what the FUCK that bitch was trying to say #me trying to translate my 2020 ramblings: YOU WHO- YOU WHO SEEK AN END TO LOVE- LOVE WILL YIELD TO BUSINESS WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT #taob updates

Poppy for N2 au, it took me so long to make her design cuz I didn't really know what I wanted to do only because I feel like her design is pretty perfect.

But then I just thought about fun outfits to give her or outfits that I would find comfortable if I was wearing them and it all came together.

Poppy here is pretty much the same as here movie counterpart, as nothing really changes on her end of things other than having more insight on Branch through his brothers, and through Lief. Shes also a bit more understanding a bit earlier on because of it but it doesnt do much to change her own character arc I would say.

Bonus

Part of Poppys design was based off a design I had made for previous rulers of Troll Village/Tree

Namely Queen Protea who I designed as Poppys grandmother

Named after the Protea flower which part of her design is based off :D

In the context of this Au Protea was the one who conceptualized the tunnels while her son, King Peppy, was the one to follow through after her death

OKAY. So this is an awful, half-finished thing I made January last year but hear me out! some parts are good, and 2023 me apparently spent 3 days on it!! so i wanted to at the very least compile all the frames and post it! because i am proud of it.
