y/n sat nervously at the edge of her couch in her small living room. she watched her small flickering tv at the other end of the room with nothing but worry.
helicopters roaring, a blazing fire and multiple reporters surround the loved starcourt mall. y/n's heart almost burst out of her chest when one reporter stated most people made it out safely.
steve harrington was the first person to flood her mind. the girl hasn't heard of him for the past three days, which only made her nerves skyrocket.
"sources say scoops ahoy workers were at the scene, with multiple young kids and parents. . ."
y/n was out the door, struggling to put on her other shoe while running to her car.

y/n didn't even let the car come to a complete stop before she was running past concerned townspeople, reporters and cops. she easily slid under the caution tape and fit in between two firetrucks, not bothering to listen to the cops and other authorities yelling for her to stop.
y/n looked from left to right. she first saw nancy and jonathan, and robin sitting in the back of one ambulance. will was with his mother, with el and mike besides them. lucas was comforting max. she looked at the last ambulance and saw steve.
as soon as their eyes met, time slowed. steve dropped the blanket from his shoulders and y/n's worn out converse hit the asphalt again.
steve stood from the ambulance, and for the first time tonight a smile broke out onto his face. he didn't care it was hurting his eye.
his arms are wide open once y/n reaches him. hers instantly wrap around his shoulders as he lifts her off the ground.
"you're okay," y/n lets the tears fall from her eyes, her voice is strained. "you're here, you're really okay."
steve kisses the side of her head before setting her back on the ground, however neither of them let go of each other.
"i thought i lost you," y/n admits.
steve chuckles, "you could never get rid of me that easily."
y/n leans back, her eyes roaming over the boy in front of her. she sees the large bruise surrounding his swollen eye, and the tiny cuts on his lips.
steve copies her actions, not believing the girl in his arms is really here. this feels too much like a dream that he didn't want to wake up from.
y/n puts her hand gently on steve's cheek just as a tear falls from his right eye. his voice is soft and broken, "can you take me home?"
y/n nods immediately, and carefully takes his hand in hers to lead them both to her car. they're stopped briefly by a cop, to which they explain y/n would be taking steve home.
they sit in the car for a moment, while an abba song plays quietly over the radio. y/n leans forward to turn it off. she didn't think steve was in the mood to dance to anything, let alone listen to a happy pop song.
"are you okay?" y/n knew it was a stupid question to ask, but she had to ask anyway.
steve only nods, as he wipes his cheeks as more tears fall. y/n simply gives him her hand. his rough hand holds onto it the whole drive back to y/n's small one bed-one bath house.
"wait, i thought you were taking me home," steve announces once he watches her turn down the wrong street.
"you really think i'd let you stay home alone after whatever you went through?"
steve shrugs.
"how hard did they hit you?" y/n lets out an airy laugh, which steve reciprocates.
y/n looks over to the passenger side after parking on the street in front of her dark red door.
"thank you," steve's voice fills the silence of the car.
the two walk out of the and in the housr wordlessly. they both leave their shoes in a pile by the front door, and steve follows y/n to her room. he sees she left the tv and lights on, guessing she left in a hurry.
"you take a shower okay? then if you want i can help with the other cuts."
steve gratefully accepts y/n's offer. he lets out a breath he didn't know he was holding once he sits on the edge of y/n's bed. she comes out of the bathroom after starting the shower, and making sure it wasn't too hot.
steve holds his arms open again, making y/n walk towards him. she stands between his thighs as he rests his head against her chest, hearing the pulse of her heartbeat. the girl leans down to place a kiss on his matted curls.
"i'll be here when you get out," y/n whispers into his hair.
as steve showers, he's careful when he reaches and cuts or bruises, and can't help but let more tears fall. by the end of it he couldn't tell if it was tears or water running down his face.
he's quick to dry off and doesn't mind the water falling back onto his face and neck from his wet hair.
he noticed his dried bloody work uniform was replaced by a pair of sweatpants, a tshirt and boxers. he smiled at the thought of y/n keeping a pair of his clothes here for him.
steve leaves the bathroom and is met with y/n coming back into her room with a small basket in her hands.
"hey," she smiles towards steve, "how are you feeling?"
"that was a must needed shower," he chuckles.
"what's that for?" he points to the wooven basket now placed on the bed.
"a couple things to help with your cuts."
after steve came over to y/n's house their junior year, with the aftermath of a fight with jonathan byers, the girl knew to keep a first aid kit just for steve.
y/n instructs for steve to lay on her bed. he gladly let a loud sigh leaves his lips once his back hits the mattress, making y/n chuckle.
she sits on the left side of steve, making her be in the middle of the bed. she easily leans over him to turn on the lamp placed on the night stand. steve can't help but blush at the close proximity.
"these are just wipes, to get any extra dried blood off," y/n starts walking him through the steps.
she's careful when wiping around the cuts on his lips, and is surprised he only winces once.
she moves to his hairline and bruise covering his eye. the swelling has gone down drastically, and she can now look at both of his beautiful brown eyes.
steve keeps his hands folded on his stomach while y/n takes care of him. she goes to the next step and takes peroxide and cotton balls to the cuts.
after the cotton meets his lips he grabs y/n's wrist. she mutters out many apologies, not meaning to hurt steve more.
"it's okay," he stops her rambling apologies, "just hurts way more than i thought it would."
y/n continues treating his wounds. every so often steve's eyes would float to her features. to her concerned eyes, crinkling at the corners. or to her hair that kept falling over her ear, to which she always put back, yet it never stayed.
y/n finally takes a warm towel, steve guessed was from the dryer, and she dabbed it over his lips and eye. she watched his shoulders relax as she held it over his eye.
"are you alright?" she felt like she asked the question a million times tonight.
steve nods, "never better."
another comfortable silence fills the room. steve now sits up, making y/n bring the towel to her lap. steve breaks the silence.
"did you always have that freckle?" his thumb traces the light freckle on her cheek. she blushes from the contact. before she answers, steve moves his hand to fix the strands of hair that have fallen in front of her ear. his hand goes back to holding her cheek.
y/n's eyes move between both of steve's brown ones.
"steve," y/n warns in a whisper as he starts moving closer to her.
"i want you y/n. thats the one thing i've never been more sure of tonight."
his soft words leave a tickling breath over y/n's lips.
y/n makes the move to lean forward. her right hand reaches to hold onto steve's bicep as her lips collide with his. the kiss only lasts for a few seconds before y/n pulls away. her cheeks are flushed as she sees steve's widened pupils.
steve simply pulls her back to him with the hand that was still on her cheek. he turns his head to deepen the kiss, and he can't help but smile against y/n's lips after feeling her hand move to his neck. she grips the damp hair, threading her fingers through it.
steve's left hand goes to y/n's lower back as he moves her to lay down. he's now hovering over her, with his thighs falling between hers.
the two pull away, both with blown pupils, flushed cheeks and swollen lips.
"do you want me to stay–"
"yes."
steve couldn't even finish his question before y/n answers quickly and pulls him down tp kiss him again, with much more hunger than before.

Hey there lovelies! Happy Friday! I hope you've started your weekend off having fun and are getting some rest!
It seems like spirits are up today! I don't know if it's just from the polite menacing yesterday, or all the excitement and sightings with the convention happening-- but I'm really loving seeing people in good spirits. I know we've all had a bit of a rough time of it lately, and we deserve to enjoy life a bit for a change!
This life has so many wonders to offer-- if you happen to be in Europe, the Northern Lights are going on right now and all the pictures everyone has shared have been absolutely stunning. I've never gotten to see them in person before-- but the photos are radiant, I can't imagine what it'd be like IRL-- please if you haven't seen them and they're still around tomorrow go out and take a peek!
Something else I've noticed the last couple days crew, is a lot of you are feeling more comfortable talking about your insecurities and fears with each other. This is really wonderful, because so many people are coming out and are trying to support one another in them-- and that's what crew is all about. Seeing people build their confidence bit by bit with every interaction, it makes me feel so incredibly fuzzy inside.
Every day you continue to grow into these wonderful little remarkable beings, and getting to see that blossoming in you all over the past few months has been a serious privilege. You aren't your insecurities lovelies, and while those feelings are absolutely valid, I hope you can get to a point (if you aren't already there) where you can hold them in your heart, feel them, give them love, and let them go so they too can heal the parts of you that caused them in the first place.
We're all on your side crew, I hope you know that. You are an etherial soul in a delightfully beautiful little shell, remember to love yourself too so you can keep blooming into that exceptional gleam of wonder that you are.

My Good Omens Season 3 Predictions
Based on the Amazon Playlist and Established Patterns in S1 and S2
I’ve been listening to the songs on the official playlist that Amazon released in December, and I’ve been thinking about it non-stop. It’s been long enough, and now I feel like I have a solid enough footing to have ideas about season 3 based on the information given to us by the playlist (especially the songs Neil provided). Keep in mind that this is my speculation only. I may be entirely wrong, this post may age poorly, but I am okay with that. At the end of the day, I know for absolute fact that I will be THRILLED with whatever season 3 actually brings (But please – for my sanity – let there be a happy ending for Crowley and Aziraphale).
First of all, we know the season was outlined back in 2005, and I would assume (for the sake of this post if nothing else) that by the time the s3 announcement came, Prime had the general outline. And so, in the spirit of how this show does things, the playlist is full of Clues.

I’ll put the songs in parenthesis as I go.
Between “Before the Beginning” and “In the Beginning,” i.e. Flashback 1:
We’re going to start the season with Crowley’s Fall (Midnight Rain). Neil has said that he’s not going to ever tell us Starmaker’s name, so I’m not expecting that. But we know that each season starts with a prologue, and we also know that these flashback mirror the current events. Crowley’s Fall makes a lot of sense to start with because it is the first thing that pulls him and Aziraphale apart. And where are we starting from in present day? The Divorce.
How Are Crowley and Aziraphale Doing?
Bad (I’m a Mess). Crowley presents fine to the world, but we, who know him, can see he is struggling. I don’t know if he’ll actually go to therapy, but I would adore it if we got a glimpse of Crowley trying it and being like “NOPE” when it got too hard. He keeps expecting Aziraphale to walk around every corner, and keeps replaying the divorce in his mind (Just My Imagination).
Aziraphale isn’t doing well either. The Kiss, and by extension his last conversation with Crowley plays on his mind all the time (Could’ve Been).
Very soon after the playlist was released, one of my Good Omens friends on Discord (I forget who it was, I am so sorry), suggested that maybe Aziraphale is communicating with Crowley through his dreams. Honestly, I am so on board with this. With the number of songs that mention dreams and daydreams in this playlist, there is no way that Crowley’s dreams and/or imagination won’t play some kind of role in this season (In Dreams, Just My Imagination).
Minisodes
The Titanic
I think the most interesting thing is that we’re going to have at least one minisode about them alone through time. It’s something that we haven’t seen before, and it parallels their current journey.
That being said, I think one of these will be the Titanic (My Heart Will Go On). Here’s how I see it happening:
Crowley is the one on the ship. He’s not there to sink it, he’s just there to enjoy himself. Maybe he plays around with the kids a bit, maybe he makes friends. Point is, the humans have built this supposedly-unsinkable ship of dreams and he just has to see it. He’s there when it sinks. Maybe he even tries to save people or get the other ships to come faster, but he can’t save everyone.
Heartbroken, he returns home to his dark flat. He doesn’t turn on any lights. There are two envelopes waiting for him. He sits at the table to read them in the dark. The first is a commendation from Hell:
“Great job sinking the Titanic! Downstairs are Very Impressed with your work, as always!” He scoffs and tosses it aside. The second one is from Aziraphale.
Oh great, he thinks, Just what I need, a little ‘oh how dare you drown all those people you evil demon you.’ when I’m already feeling like shit. He opens it anyway. The first lines read:
“My Dear Crowley,
I heard that you were aboard the Titanic when it sank. Are you alright?”
Crowley breaks down and cries. ~End Scene~
1941
The playlist has Heart and Soul on it, but not a recent version – it’s specifically one that was recorded in 1939. So we’re almost definitely getting 1941 Part 3.

We’re going to find out what happened to cause their huge shift in dynamics from Date Night to 1967, and I think it’s a kiss. Maybe a kiss on the cheek? I’m not entirely sure. I do hope they get to slow dance to A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square though.
The Reunion
My friends, it will not go well. This is one of the songs that Neil chose – Cry Me a River. It just reeks of Aziraphale coming back and Crowley being (understandably, and rightly) being bitter towards him. Aziraphale will, eventually, I’m sure, get back in his good books, but he’s gonna need more than an I Was Wrong Dance to do it.
(Actually?) Saving the World
Okay so being perfectly honest, the only reason either of them are the lead characters in this series is because they’re so freaking loveable. They are very bad at their jobs. Anathema, Newt, and Adam saved the world in S1, and although the Husbands gave Adam a little pep-talk, I think he’s smart enough that he could have managed it on his own if he had to.
So, this time they actually need to save the world and have an actual plan. This is where I think a second body swap will happen – hear me out! First of all, remember that no one aside from Gabriel (who is Someone Knows Where), none of the angels or demons have figured out their trick from the first time. So I don’t think it is the plan, but I do think it will be part of the plan. Where am I pulling this idea from? The Show Must Go On, another one of Neil’s choices. It sounds like it’s from Aziraphale’s perspective, but Queen songs are usually associated with Crowley. Seems odd, right? Maybe because it is. Maybe because they swap.
The Book of Life
I think we’re going to see The Book of Life, and I think it’s going to basically be The Book of Love. I think this is where we’re going to get the Main Thesis. The Answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything, if you will. Love. It’s supposed to be Love.
The Book of Love – another of Neil’s choices.
Epilogue
I predict they get their South Downs cottage (Neil said “not yet,” which implies it’s coming). And there’s also a wedding, though I’m not sure whose it will be (The Book of Love). I REALLY hope that it’s Crowley and Aziraphale, because they deserve that kind of happy ending, and Neil is too much of an Ally not to realize how important it is that they get to Live Happily Ever After.
One Last Thought
I still have no idea what to make of I’d Rather Go Blind. That’s it. That’s the last thought I wanted to share that doesn’t really fit in anywhere else.

The way i cope with those fan arts of aot being actors 😭 and theyre all happy and alive and having a good time in front of a green screen
- hange came out as agender (any pronouns) and the backlash was immense. levi, being very aware how “gender” he is (whatever that means) decides to announce he goes by he/they pronouns.
eren crossdresses in support🙏🙏 (there’s more i’m not mentioning).
- when the final specials were being filmed, gabi accidentally called levi dad. like three times.
- every time someone important to character levi died, levi’s actor spent extra time backstage NOT tearing up (he’s lying).
- pieck and jean’s actors are actually married.
- mikasa is an actual supermodel. world famous. and the thing is she’s totally unproblematic too!!
she has countless opportunities and artistic/business ventures, but aot is her favorite project and she has always put her other things aside to work on set :’)
- eren is in playboy magazine
- armin and historia are step siblings in real life
- niccolo actually only has a sparse background in acting and he’s more of an assistant to an assistant than anything else. but one day the crew was kind of going into overtime and he cobbled together some pasta that EVERYONE was down on their knees for.
sasha fell pretty much in love with him which is what led to his role in the series.
this is a popular piece of trivia in the fandom.
- annie always insists on doing her own stunts, and she’s fucking incredible at it.
bertholdt and armin took after her once or twice in shared scenes and it did NOT go well.
“no doing your own stunts” finally became a rule everyone had to follow after actual years of only eren making messes with it. annie has actual hard feelings against eren for not standing up for her🙄
- a lot of times the director often invites erwin into the writers room🤷🏻he has an amazing grasp on the characters and plot direction
- fans had a lot of doubt when zeke's actor came to aot, but it turned out to be a bryan cranston from malcolm in the middle to breaking bad type magic LOL
- somebody lost a bet once and hange got to direct an episode. it's one of the lowest rated for aot (AKA LIKE 8.3 OUT OF 10).
this is a major controversy within the fandom.
- floch is a nepo baby. not a bad guy though.
- after character hange died, he and actor hange put on fat suits and had a sumo wrestling competition that was livestreamed. it's one of the most popular livestreams of all time.
also hange won.
- reiner has an actual scar on the side of his neck from the fake sword blade used in s3 when levi stabbed his character.
- there was laura bailey-level hatred for gabi's actor when sasha died. sasha came out in support of her and the vast majority of fans rallied behind her.
- levi actually played the (tiny) role of his teenage self from that one episode because of how short he is. he's 5'0. he wears platform boots, actually.

I made my way to the classroom in which Gojo had asked us to meet in. We had finished training for that day and were left with a lot of free time on our hands.
I walked into the classroom, seeing Okkotsu standing at the front with Gojo and all of the other students sitting down at different desks. I caught sight of Megumi, making my way quickly towards him and taking a seat next to him.
"What's going on?" I whispered in his ear, questioning the situation.
"I'm not so sure myself. Gojo just called us all in here suddenly." He responded in the same manner.
"Everyone! I know this is sudden, but we have an announcement to make!" Gojo exclaimed, sounding way too gleeful for his own good.
Nobody spoke, the atmosphere growing tense as we awaited his words.
"As you know, the night parade of a hundred demons last year left lots of jujutsu sorcerers rendered useless and also caused some rare cursed tools to be wiped out." Gojo leaned against the wall, stuffing his hands in his pockets.
"So..." He stalled as we all sat on edge.
"I'm sending Yuuta to Africa to help Miguel look for the remnants of one of these tools!" Gojo shouted, making us all say,"Huh?" In unison.
"Why can't you go? Why does it have to be Yuuta?" Maki protested, bot happy about the decision at all.
"Well, Miguel kind of hates Gojo so... and I want to make up for the damage I caused that day. I think it's a good opportunity to get to know more about myself and my cursed technique since I'm not completely familiar with it." Okkotsu spoke to us, his reason removing some pain from the impact.
However, none of us wanted him to leave.
"I'll be back before you know it!" He exclaimed, putting us at ease.
Maki stood, storming out of the room. I could tell that there were tears in her eyes as she walked out.
I felt emotional. Although I hadn't been at Jujutsu Tech for long, I felt as if I had known these guys forever.
"He'll be leaving tomorrow afternoon, so spend time with him while you can." Gojo said, waving goodbye and allowing us to converse with Okkotsu.
"Why didn't you tell us you were leaving?" Yuuji asked him as Okkotsu began to tear up.
"I'm sorry, guys... I didn't know how to tell you..." He muttered, making all of us feel guilty.
Inumaki stood up, walking over to him and embracing him, rubbing his back in the process.
"Caviar..." He spoke softly to him, comforting him as tears flowed from his eyes.
"I better go after Maki." Kugisaki announced, running out of the classroom.
I turned back to Okkotsu, looking at his saddened state.
"You'll be back, right?" I asked him, my voice breaking slightly.
"Yes! Of course! I'll be back as soon as I can!" He pulled his head away from Inumaki's shoulder to look at me.
I fiddled with my thumbs hesitantly, wanting to speak.
"Just... be careful. I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say this, but none of us want you to get hurt. You're a really good person, Okkotsu." I confessed, my feelings spilling out aimlessly.
Okkotsu walked over to me, pulling me into a sudden hug. I hugged him back, my eyes pricking with tears.
I felt a firm grip on my arm, which I figured to be Megumi's. I turned my head to look at him, which earned a quiet scoff and an eye roll in return. He let go of me, crossing his arms with a frustrated huff.
I let go of Okkotsu as he wiped his tears with a smile.
"I promise I'll be back." He spoke to us all as we gleamed.
NEXT DAY
The next morning came around too soon for my liking. Before I knew it, I was at the nearest airport, standing with Gojo and the rest of the students.
Okkotsu wheeled his suitcase toward the check-in area, getting a tag put on it and getting his passport checked. His suitcase was whisked away as he came back to us to bid us the dreaded farewell.
"Well, this is it." He chuckled, placing his hands on his hips.
"Make sure to call us!" Yuuji beamed, his optimistic demeanour lightening the mood.
Okkotsu nodded, unable to respond before he was pulled into a tight hug.
Maki squeezed him, not wanting to see him go.
"It's okay, Maki. I won't be gone for very long!" He reassured her, rubbing her back as she hugged him.
She suddenly pulled away, pushing him away abruptly and turning her head so no one could see her face.
"Don't die, okay!" She shouted at him, still not looking in his direction.
He laughed at her words, getting ready to go to security.
"Bye, everyone! I'll let you know when I land!" He waved, walking away from us further into the airport.
We all shouted bye at him, wishing him a safe journey.
Okkotsu embarked on his own journey that day, leaving us hopeless when it came to the events that occurred next.

Okay, I have some thoughts.
If you enjoyed Season 7, that's cool, I'm happy for you. If you intend to play Season 8, that's cool, I hope you find some enjoyment from it.
But holy hell, Fusebox. Maybe S8 will be good - people keep saying it's all the even seasons that are better (although I still maintain S1 is one of the best as far as the writing, though it does lack in other ways - but first try gets a pass), at least as far as enjoyment and good characters.
But here's the thing. Season 6 had its issues for sure, and we loved to complain about certain aspects of it, but the characters were generally great and a lot of us enjoyed it for that.
But no sooner was it over than S7 was announced. We didn't have time to soak in what S6 was, to let the characters live in our heads rent free, to start missing the game and thinking about what we wanted from the next season. I remember between S2 and S3 there was so much hype because people couldn't wait for more content, every day there were memes on the Fusebox sub from people dying for information. Releasing S7 so quickly on the heels of S6 made it less exciting because people didn't have a chance to yearn for it.
And now they're doing the same thing with S8, because with AI they can just pump out content. We all know it's to get as much money as possible (whether from the few suckers paying for gems or from ad revenue), but it's a great way to actually kill people's interest in the game. Hardly anyone talked about S7 after awhile, partly because the season was boring, but partly because of oversaturation of content. Sometimes you can have too much.
It's just like the show. When it's once a year, everyone gets excited for it. The winter seasons? Meh. So then the ratings for the winter season were low, and then the people who watched the winter season were burnt out and didn't watch the summer season. They're diluting their fanbase and killing their own ratings by making too much content while also not finding ways to make it fresh and exciting (being a CA girl was an attempt, but it ultimately fell flat).
Do yourselves a favour and stop rushing to put out new content every few months that's AI-generated, and take your time to create something good written by actual humans. Please.
Personally, I deleted the app the moment I'd finished today's episodes. Unless something at Fusebox changes, I have no intention of downloading it again.

1. They look AMAZING and Penelope is literally a GODDESS, but I still think that these photos are too heavily edited.
2. What a shame that it was not a clip:( But I just want you to notice that last year 2 or 3 days after Tudum, Bridgerton IG account gave us some stills of S2. So maybe this year we will get a clip in a couple of days. MAYBE is a key word here...
3. Netflix Portugal announced the date for S3 premiere which is December 14th aND I'M SCREAMING, CRYING, THROWING UP, PUNCH ME IN THE FACE PLS! It is too much waiting... I also think that Netflix Portugal should not have informed us about the date but they did (I think they've already edited their post and have changed the description) so I guess thank you, but also go away???
4. We are getting more soon. We really are. Bridgerton ig account showed us a new layout for S3 on their ig story:
5. Taking into account how it was with S2 after Tudum, we will get an OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE in September and in October we should be getting more stills and from that moment it will be a full-on promotion with a trailer released in November.

4x10, as told through food:
Caribbean Air Clear was a big win for caroline ed truthers. caroline’s food stuff has always been a stand-in for her failure to parent— she is either resentful of having to, or unable to, nourish them; she gives food in paltry amounts because that’s how she parcels out affection. and the kids find what she does give them inedible. at the Peter Munion Pitch Dinner, she announces that the portions are going to be small, and the only thing that looks like palatable food in her kitchen (the cheese) is reserved for peter— a person she actually chose to put in her life and seems to be happy with.
in contrast to logan, who tested and punished them around food, i read caroline’s inability to nourish them as more unintentional— she just can’t do it because she feels so much bitterness about her family. i also think there’s gender stuff in there— she's not Womanly bc she can’t cook (or, more likely, have someone else cook) properly, she’s like if the wire mother didn’t even give milk. in some ways, she’s sort of girlish rather than womanly (expressing in chiantishire that she wants to like have fun and drink and fuck and gossip rather than settle into being an older woman who’s best days are behind her. and she gets along best with her girliest kid, roman.) it always makes me feel crazyinsane that the one moment In The Light that roman seems to have gotten is laughing with logan about caroline’s inability to feed them (“three muddy trout for six and fill up on mustard”) those kids had no chance to be fed emotionally or physically lol </3
meal fit for a king! lets talk about it. it is, first of all and foremost, sweet! it’s a time when food is being used playfully and you’re expected to eat rather than expected to abstain. but theres also such a dark side to it imo, as with all affection for the roys. 1. shiv spits in the blender (in a mirror of when she spit in kens notebook in s3) which is meant to be at least a little bit degrading 2. the whole point is kind of degrading (the name sounds like something logan would do — see boar on the floor, dinner for winners and mole in the hole from the script books) make kendall eat something disgusting, not as a test per se, but as a way of humbling him just a little. food is still lowkey a weapon even when it’s sweet and silly. (also theres some kendall jesus motif— roman crowns him but in a way that’s mocking etc) 3. it’s sweet specifically because the foods are a) unwanted— the roy kids have been starved, of affection and literally of food, and they’re making something genuinely nice with scraps and b) not luxurious— it’s not ortolan or kendalls endive salad, it’s bread ends and cocoa powder.
there was an interesting moment that mirrored my 4x08 food lore thoughts— ken offers roman rum punch when he’s still trying to woo his board vote against shiv, and roman ignores the punch, pours himself a shot, then grabs a beer. kendall is the one who locked him in a cage and made him eat cake, he’s the reason they had to eat roast chicken, roman experiences his brother as always trying to subordinate him by controlling what he consumes (which is obv a corollary to trying to control him in business.)
on the less thematic/more personally self-serving ed headcanon side of things, nothing has contradicted my hc that roman hasn’t eaten solid food since logan died. all he does is lick Peter’s Special Cheese, drink coffee (sleep deprivation won succession, actually), and drink alcohol. we see roman eat cake at connors rehearsal dinner, pre-logan death and during what he thought was a secure time in the sibling alliance, then never again. his habit of snacking on little bits of fruit and desserts has totally disappeared. tho it's not shown, i could see him eating the night of the election when he realized he won at something and was expecting to crush it at the funeral the next day. if hes becoming logan, hes allowed to eat. but the second he flames out at the funeral and realizes he is, in fact, still a dead man walking, he’d go back to not eating. trying to please the dad in his head, or to express his essential deadness/emptiness without his dad.
ofc, we don't rlly see the other siblings eat, either (i have laser-focused Roman ED vision so something might have slipped past me. does shiv taste the breakfast tom brings her?) notably, no one ate at the Funeral Planning Committee breakfast, they don’t eat at the tailgate im p sure, i don’t think anyone touched the food at the Munion Pitch Dinner. (tbh concerned for shiv’s fetus re: having adequate calories.) i think part of it is grief and part of it is collective family Disorder and part of it is the good old competitive strong dog weak dog stuff.
i made a joke that roman is going to end up like caroline, but i kind of meant it? i can see him having no food in his house, cocktail in hand, snugly burying himself some place out of the way and fucking around with mild self-destruction for the rest of his life. (altho rather than a failhusband i think he’d try to replace logan yet again and end up with a partner who was pretty brutish or domineering)

Hello anon! Sorry for keeping you waiting, Mother's Day weekend was busy. (Happy late Mother's Day to Lynn :p)
I do hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I honestly don't expect Season 5 to get released any time soon. There are two reasons: Time between seasons (excluding between season 1 and season 2, they were likely worked on at the same time) are usually longer than a year (392 days between S2 and S3 and 448 days between S3 and S4). We are just over 237 days or 2/3s of a year since the last episode of S4 was released.
Second and more concrete reason is that HMCH put out an end of the year summary with their projects from 2023 and what to look forward to in 2024. Season 4 of WSJ is mentioned for 2023, but nothing about WSJ for 2024.
They are going to focus on film production, so I think it's safe to say that there won't be any All Saints Street donghua this year.
And in case you have been living under a rock, you should check out HMCH Pokémon short Homecoming! It's the short film for the new year they are teasing in the screen.
On the bright side maybe we could get an announcement any day now? While the first seasons got announcements close to the release date (season 1 had a very early reveal that the animation was being worked back in 2019, but the full cast reveal and trailers dropped close to the first episode release in Tencent video), season 4 got a reveal in December 2022 and it started releasing in July 2023. It could be we get a reveal at the halfway mark this time too! Keep in mind this is all just speculation, the releases of the donghua are all over the place...

A quick TGaMM idea/what if
This just popped into my head and I can’t help but feel like it’s a valid potential direction for s2 to go:
What if Scratch gives up being Chairman... and gives the role to Geoff?
It’s no secret that outside of the occasional perks it gives him such as respect, line-cutting privileges and allowing him to cast more powerful curses, Scratch still doesn’t care too much about being Chairman. He’s often pushing his duties off to the Ghost Council and still needs to be forced to do the stuff that the Council can’t (or doesn’t want to, in the case of stuff like cleaning up Haughty Haunts).
Now to be fair, Scratch has done some good as Chairman - namely refusing to bring back the Flow, making it so ghosts aren’t forced to cause misery if they don’t want to, and instating a Taco Tuesday-through-Thursday. Buuut in doing the former, he’s also made it so dangerous ghosts like Lord Doom and the Frightmares are able to roam free. Regarding the Frightmares, while he was able to capture the ones that attacked the Halloween fest, there’s apparently still some roaming around in the Ghost Realm (see ‘Dance Dad Revolution’).
Between the Chens, the Frightmares (both the ones in the Chens’ posession and the ones that are still roaming free), and Jinx’ quest for revenge, I could see Scratch’s laissez-faire attitude regarding Ghost Realm dangers, only stepping in when he absolutely HAS to/when it affects him and the McGees, eventually coming back to bite him in the butt by the end of the season.
I could see an instance where things go REALLY wrong, resulting in innocent ghosts getting hurt in a way that Scratch could have stopped if he wasn’t so lazy, leading to Scratch feeling guilty. Given how much of a better person he’s become since meeting Molly and the McGees, he and Molly would of course do what they could to save the day and stop Jinx + the Frightmares.
Buuuut, for as good as he is deep down, Scratch is still lazy and fairly self-centered. Regardless of whether or not he enjoys parts of the job, a situation like the one above would be a wake-up call to Scratch that he is NOT the right ghost for the role - but the role still needs to exist, because for as much as the Old Chairman only cared about feeding off misery, a new Chairman could be a powerful protector.
So, when he announces that he’s quitting and giving the job to someone else, Scratch chooses none other than Geoff! On the surface, it might just seem like Scratch passing the job along to the guy who’s most likely to say yes, but when you think about it:
1) Geoff is an incredibly friendly and well-liked guy, making him a popular choice. 2) Geoff seems to care about other ghosts and would want to do what he could to keep them happy. 3) It’s been established that Geoff is a naturally gifted at scaring, so if he had to, he could intimidate the more troublesome ghosts while also being able to protect other weaker ghosts. 4) If the Ghost Council were to ever try to manipulate their new Chairman, Jeff would be there to shut that shit down FAST as a sort of ‘Chairman’s consort/advisor’ in addition to just being Geoff’s loving partner
Really, there’s no one better in the ghost realm to fill the Chairman’s role, as Geoff could be that perfect balance of caring, responsible and (when he needs to be) intimidating/powerful. I also feel like it’d be a nice little bow on the Scratch and Geoff relationship - with Scratch going from seeing Geoff as a nuisance and a screw-up, to seeing him as his best ghost friend, a great guy AND a great potential leader.
Geoff becoming Chairman also wouldn’t shake up the status quo TOO much imo, so if the show were to not get a s3 afterwards, it wouldn’t necessarily feel like we were missing out on a ton of story potential. And if we WERE to get a s3, Geoff being Chairman would give Scratch the freedom to conclude his own personal arc (that likely being tracking down Adia)
But yeah, those are my thoughts, feel free to tell me yours
