When you multiship, do you still have a favorite ship? Cause I don’t really do multishipping myself, so I am just curious
It very much depends on the ships.
With Violetta’s ships? I love Leonetta and Franletta equally. I can’t pick. This is much because as a kid I only knew leonetta (since I didn’t know non-canon ships existed at the time), and thus they always have a soft spot for me. I know Franletta probably never would be canon even if the show canonically had LGBTQ rep (they’d be like Faberry - everyone sees it but the creators ignore it), but I don’t care. I think shipping Leonetta and Franletta means you always get content and you’re always winning.
However, with Francesca’s ships? I must say I both ship Marcesca and Diecesca, but I very much prefer Franletta. This is because for Fran, I always much more preffered her friendship scenes than her boyfriend scenes. But I also always knew both Marco and Diego were important to her. Marco was more or less a Ken to her barbie - he existed to be her boyfriend, essentially. And that’s what Francesca needed at the time. She needed someone who could spoil her, be there for her at all times and make her feel special. Everything she didn’t get from the man we don’t talk about. But in season 3, she has changed. She has grown. And Marco has grown too. And Francesca needed someone like Diego - who was there for her, but also brought more ”action” into the relationship. And that’s what she needed at the time. But while she dated them, she sort of always thought more about Violetta. Couldn’t focus on Marco singing to her on her birthday because she wanted Violetta there. Couldn’t enjoy her relationship with Diego because she cared too much about what Violetta would think.
I always have found Naxi cute and Fedemila has their moments, but Luty is just so much more powerful.
And SL ships are complicated too. Especially when it comes to Luna, Simón and Ámbar.
I can only picture Luna with Simón. I joke about her and Nina sometimes, but I see them more of a ”if no one else is available then I guess” option. I can picture Simón with Luna and Ámbar, and I like Lumon and Simbar equally. I can picture Ámbar with like 5 people, so I just in general like a lot of her scenes cause of that lmao. But in difference to Leonetta and Franletta, with Lumon and Simbar I get halfway happy and halfway disappointed. I never fully win no matter the outcome. I mean, I said I can picture Ámbar with like 5 people, but Simbar is just… it has that power, you know? But in canon i’m sad because I don’t want Luna to end up with THAT guy
Multishipping is fun, but there also is a conflict sometimes. Sometimes you like ships equally and don’t care, and other times you just never can win cause you’ll always lose one even if you get one

At the 3 BELOW Comic Con panel with Diego Luna and Guillermo del Toro.
Before his official intro, Guillermo del Toro poked his head out for a moment.
Glenn Close made a surprise appearance, along with her dog! Her character is the Supercomputer who gradually learns about human emotions.
Apparently Diego Luna’s kids are in the audience, and his kids were major Trollhunters fans and were excited their dad is part of that universe now.
Guillermo del Toro said he was hugely happy to have Nick Offerman since Offerman is a large fat guy like him.
“In Mexico, when you have dinner and ask, ‘Have you seen a ghost?’ then 3 hours later you realize that they all have.” - del Toro on the spirit of the show.
Guillermo and Luna emphasized that the immigration experience was a huge factor in the narrative.
Of course, a lot of the Trollhunters cast will make appearance, including those who moved out of Arcadia, such as Jim, Claire, and Blinky. And yes, Gnone Chomsky will come back, and the fans cheered at this.
So Guillermo del Toro’s B-day is just a few days away and the panel hostess surprised him with a birthday cake!
Before the screening of the first ep, Glenn Close playfully got the mic to her dog asking, “Should we do the screening?”

So...I’m back
A month ago was my birthday. I’m 19 now and I’m trying to figure out who it is I am in this moment. In this life. Pretentious I know but it’s true. I thought about my previous birthdays and how different my mindset was with each one. When I was little I used to get so excited about my birthday but now when it happens it feels more like a chore. There are many people out there that would probably tell me “that’s just how adulthood is” and they’re not wrong. A lot of adulthood is spent realizing that the world wasn’t as awesome as you thought it was. Maybe your favorite restaurant is run by an immoral CEO who exploits all the people who work for them, maybe there’s a movie you can’t watch anymore because one of the actors in it is a horrible human being, maybe the stress of money and responsibility sometimes stops you from fully enjoying yourself, maybe the people you’ve looked up to all your life let you down, whatever it is could be considered a part of growing up (though most certainly not only a part of such). It can make you think that maybe that’s all there is in life, more bad news, more disappointment, and more losing the things and people you loved.
And you know what? It isn’t.
I’m not exactly breaking new ground here, hell I know for fact I must sound like one of those posters you’d find in a counselor’s office but goddammit sometimes it needs to be said! It does! Consider this, how many positive things do you see on the internet? I mean really? How many times have you read something on Tumblr or elsewhere that made you feel like you’re going to be okay? This isn’t to say one should be ignorant about the world; I’m appreciative of all the things I’ve figured out on the internet, however negative, because it helps me get a better understanding of the world and the people around me. But when your life is constantly being bogged down by difficult stuff to stomach, what’s going to make you want to keep going?
So, why am I saying all of this thinkpiece shit? Because you, dearest reader, are going to see some positivity today. The universe is merciless and cruel but that doesn’t stop it from giving us wonderful things to experience and I want to take this time to remind myself and others that.
I’m not saying any of what I show you will make you happy, I’m not saying that you even have to be happy right now, I’m just saying that these are some things I consider good that I want to share with you. Because I love you and I want you to have good things. You deserve good things. Never forget that.

2017 Year Survey
(I’ve done this for a couple of years so why not this?)
1. What did you do in 2017 that you’d never done before?
I fell in love.
2. Did you keep your New Years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn’t make any but I think I will make one for next year
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes! I have a nephew now!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully no.
5. What countries did you visit?
Only the UK. And Denmark if the airport counts haha (I mean it’s where I always fly from so)
6. What would you like to have in 2018 that you lacked in 2017?
Energy, a job I actually like (energy should follow that though), kisses
7. What date from 2017 will remain etched upon your memory?
None, but 2017 gave me a date from 2011 that will stick.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Is landing a girl an achievement? XD Other than that I didn’t achieve anything.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not getting out of my sucky job I guess, and letting it bring me down.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Working in a hospital in a physically demanding job has made me more sick than normal during a single year for sure. But it’s been colds and the flu and such. And not a single week goes by without me getting at least one fresh bruise, and probably a cut. But it’s all minor things really. I’ve gotten stronger too so I guess it’s a tradeoff?
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Hm, I feel like I didn’t buy anything major. I’m super happy to have bought some proper 50s revival items though (and not just thing sI’ve made myself or Chinese knockoffs) I guess I did buy an engagement ring though, maybe.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
I guess mine for dealing with the feels? Haha.
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
Too many to fucking count. The whole damn Trump administration for starters. And an additional gazillion racists, homophobes, dictators, etc.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Not counting the stable basics like rent and food and such bullshit... I guess my London weekend, which included some good shopping.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
There’s that one person and the butterflies she somehow set free.
16. What song/album will always remind you of 2017?
I guess I won’t know that until a few years from now looking back. But probably Ruelle’s stuff.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? Happier. Like, personally I am way happier when I can actually relax and think. Overall I’m more blank I guess, cause I’m always tired and in a never ending cycle of work - sleep - work
ii. thinner or fatter? I think the same.
iii. richer or poorer? Richer. At the end of last year I had been unemployed for a good few months, eating through my savings. Now I’ve had a decently steady job for almost a full year. Not well paid, but I have been able to save, and cover my expenses.
18. What do you wish you’d done more of?
Basically anything that isn’t work. Reading for sure, gaming too. Travelling.
19. What do you wish you’d done less of?
Work.
20. How will you be spending Christmas?
I’m not sure actually. Probably relaxing, and then in the evening have dinner with the parents, maybe do a repeat of last year where we had dinner at their place and then walked over to mine for sweets and gifts (I’m the one with the tree!)
21. Who did you spend the most time on the phone with?
@cordycepling for sure. I mean it doesn’t matter that we had like two months of some kind of unspoken fear of actually calling again, that doesn’t change the fact that whenever we DO talk it’s for hours. And I don’t really talk on the phone with a lot of other people xD
22. Did you fall in love in 2017?
I did! With a woman, and with a lot of fandom things haha.
23. How many one night stands in this last year?
None. I don’t think the answer to this question will ever change.
24. What was your favourite TV programme?
Still running would be 12 Monkeys of course. We got s3 this year and it was crazy and good. However, I think we all know which TV programme had the most impact on me... Shadowhunters all the way baby! I started watching it with an insane amount of prejudice, but Netflix made it so easy to binge. And sometime during season 2 I realised I actually liked it. And in 2B there was no denying that it isn’t even a guilty pleasure anymore. I learned how to gif for it, I am seriously writing fanfiction, I made new friends... yeah. It’s a thing. Oh and I think I watched Mozart in the Jungle in the beginning of the year and really loved that. Can’t wait for the next season.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?
No one specific I guess?
26. What was the best book you read?
That’s so hard! I haven’t read as much as I wished either. Hm, maybe Your Soul is a River by Nikita Gill. Oh and apparently I read the Rogue One novelisation the first week of the year. Now that was amazing.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Not sure. I do quite like Ruelle now. This year has made me fall back into the whole tying lyrics to fandom, which is fun. I’ve also listened a lot to the radio at work (luckily we do tend to end up on stations that play more stuff than just the latest hits)
28. What did you want and get?
A girlfriend! Also a job.
29. What did you want and not get?
A girlfriend who doesn’t live on the other side of the world, and a new and better job.
30. What was your favourite film of this year?
Wonder Woman I think. I did watch Arrival in January and that was really good. Oh and Palmeras en la nieve too.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned the big 30! I had a nice lil picnic with friends, which ended with Cards Against Humanity (after about half the guests had gone home) which is always fun. It was a good birthday. Even had the day off from work!
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A job that didn’t suck every bit of energy out of me.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2017?
50s revival I guess. Not historically correct by any means, but inspired! And not full on rockabilly either. But yeah. However, most of my time is spent in work clothes. And going to and from work I don’t care what I look like pretty much. And I usually wear the same thing for many days cause it’s literally on my body for maximum one hour. Then it’s PJs and my new discovery: onesies. Bought a skeleton onesie around Halloween and fell in love. Apparently for me to find fitting onesies I should go shopping in the boy’s section!
34. What kept you sane?
As always: the internet and fandom. More specifically: ignoring the actual fandom and engaging with a select few people and the source material.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I don’t know. The year started with Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal for sure. Then it all kinda calmed down over summer. And I guess in fall/winter it’s been the Shadowhunters cast cause they’re all so damn adorable.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
I guess the US always takes the cake. Cause it’s in the media so much as well, overshadowing all the other horrors of the world.
37. Who did you miss?
@cordycepling something fierce, especially right now.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
I dunno. I guess in person gotta be someone at work? Online... there are so many great new people out there. I love you all! And special shoutout to the squad ofc.

You need to open your damn eyes fool. Also... all hope is not lost, there is someone out there.

1. first ship?
i honestly can never remember if it was piper/leo from charmed or ron/hermione from harry potter. they were kinda around the same time. i can say though that while i do still like both of them, ron/hermione shaped my early teens and fandom life wayyyyyyy more and they’re still one of my all-time otps! (even tho... fuck jkr. absolutely. but at this point i’m just too attached to ron/hermione to ever hate them.)
12. current obsession?
embarrassing but destiel. they were an old ship of mine and this past november really renewed my love for them, even if everything that happened sucked. like i’m absolutely furious at how they were handled and how the show ended, but all that anger led to me having a lot of feelings about what could have been if they were handled right. *sigh*
25. favorite celebrity?
probably diego luna. i love him, he’s so precious and he always makes me so embarrassingly happy. like his smile is so contagious! happy birthday to him <3

I think we can all agree that Funko Pops make for the best bookshelf companions. J started collecting Funko Pops a few years ago, and I now have 15 Funko Pops in total, along with some other Funko Pop merchandise. Today, I’m going to walk you through my current Funko Pop collection- I may have to do a part 2 as it grows!
Parks and Recreation
Bert Macklin—I remember running and screaming around my house, much to my family’s delight, when it was announced last year that Funko was creating a Parks and Recreation series. Bert was my first Parks and Rec Funko and so far, he’s the only Hot Topic exclusive from the series. I recommend using Hot Topic when ordering Funkos online—they usually have a ton of sales and do a lot of exclusives.
Ron Swanson– I snuck Ron into my textbook order last semester on Amazon, out of fear that I would never find him again. HOW COULD I NOT HAVE RON GUYS? IT’S LIKE LESLIE WITHOUT WAFFLES.
Leslie Knope– Speaking of Leslie, I was gifted Leslie this past Christmas. I love how much detail they put into her Pawnee book!
April Ludgate- April was a surprise Christmas gift and like Leslie, I love how much detail went into her (her eyeshadow game is strong).
Andy Dwyer- Andy was the third Funko I received for Christmas and I’m happy I now own both “Andys”. I don’t plan on finishing the first Parks and Rec series with Lil’ Sebastian—his role in the show is funny, but I think a few other characters should have been more important to include in the first series of pops.
Harry Potter
Luna Lovegood- I love how detailed Luna is, between her earrings and the spider on her hand.
Ron Weasley- I couldn’t have Harry without Ron, who was a Christmas present from one of my sisters a few years back. For some reason, he falls over the most.
Draco Malfoy- I remember ordering Draco off Barnes and Noble at the end of last spring semester in spite, after my parents had made a comment about my overflowing shelves and how I should be saving my money and not spending it on “toys”. Luckily, bookcase number 3 saved that dilemma.
Neville Longbottom- I bought Neville from Barnes and Noble before you could buy him from other retailers, so I think #bookhipster is fitting here.
Dumbledore- Dumbledore was another Christmas gift a year or two ago, and my mom picked him out for me because she liked his outfit.
I have four Harrys—Harry Potter in his Hogwarts robes, Harry from Order of the Phoenix, Harry on a Broom, and keychain Harry in his robes. I think my favorite is Harry on a Broom because he is the most unique—he was the San Diego Comic Con Exclusive for 2017 and I remember my heart racing driving safely to my local Barnes and Noble to pick one up before they sold out.
Hagrid Pen– Until I one day have an entire bookshelf dedicated to my Harry Potter collection, I won’t be adding the 8 inch Hagrid for now. My dad picked this up for me while I was away at school for a cute homecoming gift.
I highly recommend if you collect the Harry Potter Funkos, place them somewhere where they won’t fall . At least for the Funkos from the first two series, I’ve learned that the hard way–I’ve gone through 3 original Harrys and have had to superglue Luna’s wand—that their wands and glasses can easily break. This is why I now keep Harry and Dumbledore in their boxes and have never tried displaying Harry on a Broom outside of his box—for photos I’ve actually had a hard time getting him to sit on the display!
Wonder Woman – I received Wonder Woman as a birthday gift with Bert Macklin and Harry from Order of the Phoenix.
Katniss Everdeen “Girl on Fire”- Katniss was my first ever Funko Pop. I really think this one is unique and I wouldn’t mind adding wedding Katniss and Katniss with her bow and arrow to my collection.
In my eyes, I need a Hermione to complete my Harry Potter collection, and I also would love to add Luna with her Gryffindor hat and Quidditch Ginny Weasley to my collection. I’m also hoping for another series for Parks and Recreation— we still need Tom, Ben, Ann, Chris, Donna, and Jerry/Gerry/Terry. I would also love to see Duke Silver and Janet Snakehole AND OH MY GOSH LESLIE IN HER WEDDING DRESS.

In some unrelated-Funko Pops news, as a Valentine’s Day gift to myself, I bought my blog domain! I’ve been wanting to buy my blog domain for a long time and since I created Fangirl Fury last February (even though I didn’t post until March,oops), it was time to treat my myself. This is such an exciting chapter for me, and whether this is the first blog post of mine you’ve read or you’ve been here throughout my first year, I want to thank you for supporting Fangirl Fury.
