vex zedaph and/or moss grian?
Grian's mouth tastes like grass, and he's staring up at the sky.
He blinks. Blinks again. He's lying on stone, cushioned by something soft and cool- moss? His eyes are itchy. He's not sure, exactly, how long he's been lying here, staring at the sky. The sunlight is nice, though.
Time passes. The sun moves in the sky, slides lower. The air cools. It occurs to Grian that he should sit up, maybe. Maybe he should move.
Where is he, exactly? He turns his head, finally, away from the sky to look, rolling it on its side. His mouth is dry, and tastes green.
Oh, he's on top of the Entity. He frowns, trying to reach back in his memory to figure how he got here. Had he been restocking? That sounds right, but the thought feels vague, uncertain.
He moves to shift an arm, and something next to his ear tears, or sounds like it's tearing. He freezes, and a shiver runs through his nervous system from head to toe. Something feels very wrong, like something in him has just gone into shock.
All at once, he needs to stand up. He needs to move. He needs to not be lying here anymore.
He shoves himself up to his knees and then to his feet, finds himself unpleasantly wobbly. Something rustles when he stands- his wings? They feel heavy on his back. His nerve endings all feel raw and frayed, and the cold air is a relief.
He hugs his arms, tightens his wings around his shoulders. They rustle again, and something soft tickles against his neck. He jolts, jerks around- oh, it's just moss. That's fine. A little must have gotten in his feathers.
He nods to himself, feels reassured. That's what happened. After restocking, he fell asleep on top of the Entity in the sun, and a little moss had gotten in his feathers.
That's all.

so “the watchers are the viewers” is probably a fun way to do something with stream chats if you like both watcher lore and doing stream chat stuff but every time i think to hard about it i giggle at the fact that the hermit who it makes the most sense to have a canonical chat is definitely joe, as the guy who streams basically everything he does on the server. however also joe’s relationship with his chat is “cheerfully talks with them and then if they do something even mildly annoying he cheerfully bans them, and also he just lies for funsies whenever he’s asked a question he decides he doesn’t like”. my brain combines this with the fandom’s typical watcher imagery and lands on “joe is followed by otherworldly angels made of eyes and every time they talk in caps lock he whacks the one who did that with a broom until they go away” and you know what i think that fits him,

So in each season, grian has made a shop that sells random but useful item. And in previous seasons, it has always been some form of transport, something that moves. The wagon in season 6, the barge in season 7, the train in season 8, etc. But in season nine, he has the entity. Given the pattern of previous seasons, it would make sense for the entity to be able to move and perhaps provide transportation, despite being an eldritch rock. In this essay I will-
