I really liked Grendon

With the old footbridge at Whitacre removed, it's nice to see some old lattice work, even with a some repairs. Several wooden steps have recently been replaced hopefully this structure will last a little while longer.

Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham will be released on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and Digital on March 28 via Warner Bros. The all-new animated DC animated movie is based on the 2000 comic miniseries by Mike Mignola, Richard Pace, and Troy Nixey.

Christopher Berkeley (Young Justice) and Sam Liu (Batman: The Killing Joke) co-direct from a script by Jase Ricci (Teen Titans Go! & DC Super Hero Girls: Mayhem in the Multiverse).

It stars David Giuntoli as Batman, Tati Gabrielle as Kai Li Cain, Christopher Gorham as Oliver Queen, Patrick Fabian as Harvey Dent, John DiMaggio as James Gordon, and David Dastmalchian as Grendon.

What a bizarre Batman movie.

I just finished watching The Doom that came to Gotham. What a boggling experience. And surprise, surprise... I don't mean this in a bad way?

I think I kind of want an animated series of this Elseworld story (if that's what this can be called) or at least a miniseries. Also a videogame like Arkham City but about this alternative universe. I think that would be sick.

The voice cast was pretty great, it truly surprised me. Congratulations on everyone.

Now, I think my ability to recognize voice actors is going down the toilet because I would have sworn Grendon was being voiced by Jason Spisak, the voice of Silco in Arcane; but it was David Dastmalmalchian, who had already done a great work as Calendar Man in The Long Halloween two parter animated movie. I am very impressed.

Another one I can't believe I got so wrong was the voice of Harvey Dent. I was convinced it was Dee Bradley Baker because Harvey's voice reminded me so much to Tarrlok from The Legend of Korra. But it turned out to be Patrick Fabian, who was the voice of Hank Henshaw/Cyborg Superman in the animated movies The Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen. Great movies and performances as well.

Last, I can't believe I didn't recognize John DiMaggio as James Gordon nor Jason Marsden as Dick Grayson and young Bruce Wayne. I'm shocked. Kudos to Wes Gleason, I guess, for casting and voice directing. I really liked what I heard in this movie.

I think I give this movie an 8.5/10. The characters designs are nice, the animation too, and while I was lost about the story the first 10 to 15 minutes of the movie, I really got into it the more it progressed. I honestly wouldn't mind a sequel.
