hey bitch, do you really, really, really wanna go hard? hello all! my name is pepper. i meant to do this intro bit a bit earlier but i got very distracted by dr. stone so i apologize for that! i am also going to apologize in advance because i 1. have not rped in like three weeks and frankly you’re gonna be able to tell, i am very rusty and 2. i haven’t been in a multifandom rp.... in at least like a year, so i’m also very rusty at that! that said i freaking love the good place and i could not pass up this opportunity! if anyone has watched the show and wants to cry with me over jason mendoza,,,, hit your girl up. that said omg okay a bit about me: i say omg, like, and literally way too often, so sorry about that in advance. i’m also very canadian, which probably explains all the apologizing sdkjsdk. i work in a grocery store so i’m technically essential which means i will be disappearing semi often to do long ass shifts at work (rip) but i’m almort always lurking on mobile or discord so pleathe,,, hmu. and finally plotting and exchanging headcannons and things? my freaking lifeblood. i live for that shit. please talk to me, i’m beggin’. okay sdkjdskj now onto some stuff about everybody’s favourite goth girl, ms wednesday addams.

okay, if you’ve ever watched any addam’s family content... i am really not deviating much from that. the daughter of a rather eccentric morbid family who grew up rather eccentric and morbid herself. has always had a facination with death that she now just gets to nurture in this environment (although lowkey wednesday is kind of dissapointed by the whole set up i’m not gonna lie). you get the vibe.
died in 1993! the height of rock and roll, pop boy bands, and chokers.
definitely lowkey thinks that she’s a disappointment to her family for ending up in the good place in the first place. will be thrilled when it’s eventually revealed that this is the bad place. or well, as thrilled as wednesday gets.
wednesday addams is a demigirl and you can’t change my mind. honestly considering making her straight agender tbh, because that just seems like fact to me.
a bisexual icon. hates everybody but hates everybody equally. will fuck your shit up if you’re misogynistic, homophobic or racist. let me direct y’all to this video cause this is fact.
kind of an arsonist honestly. loves to set things aflame. definitely did indeed set her summer camp on fire. is pretty proud of it.
lowkey will miss her family so much while up here. she never really had friends outside of her family, like not real genuine ones. wednesday’s never really truly been on her own until the afterlife and she’s honestly a bit unsettled by it. won’t let it show in the slightest though, honestly you’d be sure pressed to see wednesday’s veil of indifference break for even a moment. that said, she definitely misses pugsley and lurch the most even though she’ll never admit it. might get lonely enough to actually attempt to find herself a friend we’ll see.
truly a little bit witchy, but like regular person witchy considering wednesday never had any powers in cannon and certainly doesn’t now. will do a seance in her place to attempt to see if she can reach the mortal realm. is very seriously wondering where the demons are. would have a lot of medieval weapons in her place if it really was catered to her, but seeing as things are meant to be a bit off wednesday’s place is probably filled with stuffed animals and dolls, but not even creepy dolls... but cute ones. the whole room is bubble gum pink and whenever she tries to paint the walls black they just revert back... she’s mad about it honestly.
that said wears black and only black at all times but that should be a given.
is definitely wondering where her ex joel is. like she figured he would have popped up here after she scared him to death and so she’s a bit confused, but rolling with it.

A SUSPICIOUS BYSTANDER. honestly i would die,,, for someone who realizes that wednesday definitely doesn’t belong here and mayhaps a team cockroach situation? like they both know they’re in the wrong place and they try to help each other hide it. please,,, i need it.
PARTNER IN CRIME. kind of the new pugsley but it might be more of an equal relationship. basically someone who wednesday can drag into her messes. the person on the other side of the seance circle... they catch each other’s gaze through the incense smoke,,, the romance of it all no i’m kidding sorry sdkjdsj but i do want this connection!
UNLIKELY PAIR. an april and andy situation. they are complete opposites, one the doom and gloom and the other sunshine and rainbows,,, and yet someone it works. wednesday would kill someone for them.
TWO PEAS IN A POD. the opposite of the other connection because these two meet and just instantly click! they both have so much hate deep inside of them! and now they can share this hate with each other! it’s a match made in heaven (badum tsss) and probably one of the first times wednesday actually wants to really try to be friends with someone.
CRUSH. either on wednesdays end or theirs i just feel like this could be really fun!
ENEMY. someone who hates wednesday and who wednesday hates in return. their personalities just really clash, and wednesday knows that if she ever really does find herself in hell, she’s dragging them with her.
UNSUSPECTING NEIGHBOUR. i don’t know why but i just find the concept of there just being some poor schmuck who wednesday pesters for like a lock of their hair or something. like they don’t deserve this. but she’s bored here in paradise and she’s making a bit of a game out of creeping them out. after all, what else is there to do?

honestly the only one that’ll fully read this is me but i just rewatched all of gmw so here’s a few of maya’s defining quotes with some info tacked on !

maya is introduced as riley’s shawn, as her very best friend in this universe. she’s bold, fierce, rebellious, loud, and everything that riley isn’t. she wears lip gloss, she marches right up to cute boys on the subway, she is the night. she is dark and mysterious.
“ i was a little girl, and i climbed through an open window because i heard singing. i was attracted to what i saw inside. it was someone safe…”
she and riley meet as small children when she wanders into her open window. her parents are fighting. they never seem to stop fighting.
she never leaves riley’s side. it becomes a simple understanding that they are an extension of each other, no longer separate entities. her loyalty is a defining quality to her.
“i do go outside, riley. i watch the light move during the day. and you know what happens at 5:30? you turn gold. everything is more beautiful at the beginning and the end of the day, and i want people to see that. i want to capture that. i didn't mean to believe in something.”
maya is an amazing artist. she can also sing, but she is partial to painting and sketching when she is at home. her favorite teachers are, as expected, her art teachers, and that is always the class she excels in.
"when i was real young, i used to come to this park and look at this statue and wonder if i would ever have friends as good as these. that would hands with each other and smile. i used to wonder what it was they were so happy about. now i know.”
this just be a cute quote. her friends are the stars in her sky and she really would do anything for them if they need it, sacrificing herself over and over if it meant they could be spared for even a second longer.
“i’m gonna get an education from him. and i’m gonna earn my own money. and someday i’m gonna have a good place with good walls and a good roof.” “and what are you gonna do for everybody else?” “everybody’s a lot of people. but if i could afford it, i would fix somebody else’s roof.”
she understands not having a lot. maya has a hole in her wall and a leak in her roof. she takes care of things gifted to her because she knows the value they truly hold. she comprehends that if her mother didn’t work extra shifts, her lights wouldn’t be on and their water wouldn’t flow. she doesn’t take what she has for granted, and it definitely stuck with her as she grew into adulthood.
“you had everything. family meals around the table. i wanted that. ‘how was your day, maya?’ ‘it was great, dad.’ you had that. you went to bed with a smile on your face every night, while i went to bed wondering if my father was going to be at the breakfast table in the morning. i wanted that.”
maya has half a mom and her father left, which she blames on her half a mom. of course, she doesn’t realize that it’s because her mother also got left, but shawn helps her see that. this also starts to build up her wishing for shawn to step in as a more permanent part, but hope is still for suckers, ladies and gents!
“my teacher thinks if i forgive you, it'll bring me peace. and he's usually right about these things, but i don't see how he's right about this one. and i can't. your job was to stay. you don't think i had it in me to allow my father to grow?”
when maya writes to her father for an assignment, she gets the closure she needs to understand that it isn’t her fault he left. of course, it doesn’t fully settle. it never does. and she realizes that she can’t forgive him for leaving yet. daddy issues galore. but she’s not angry anymore and that’s important.
“i could always hear my mother crying in her bedroom. i’d try to go in and stop her from crying… but i couldn’t. so, i’d try to fall asleep next to her… but i couldn’t. ‘mom, would you stop crying if daddy came back?’ ...and she’d look at me and say, ‘we don’t need anyone else, babygirl. all i need is you…” too much responsibility. can’t sleep, riley, been up since i’m four.”
after katy and shawn get engaged, maya is scared. she doesn’t know why they can’t just date forever. she really doesn’t like change. plus! they don’t have the best records! she even tries to come between them, to ask why shawn would be doing such a thing when he knows what the universe does to people like them.
they get married anyways!!! shawn surprises them with an entire wedding set up on the roof because that’s how he rolls (spontaneous and romantic), and he surprises maya not too long later with adoption papers which is why she’s maya hart-hunter now.
“my voice is still my voice, riley. you're gonna need to show me a lot more than clothes and hair and a boy before i believe that it isn't.”
when maya starts to get good grades, starts wearing more dresses, starts showing signs of growth as a person, she is told she simply is becoming riley. i personally hate this plot line! but it’s canon so i gotta mention it! i feel like she should’ve been allowed to grow!!!! she should’ve been allowed to have good things happen to her!!!!!!!!!!!!! but whatever!!!

triangles are one of maya’s biggest triggers because she was part of one and it really almost tore apart her entire life. liking the same boy as riley consumed the better part of her middle school years and her first year of high school. i don’t think she ever actually stopped liking lucas, but she stepped back again for riley’s sake because, as she says, the last thing she would want is something that belongs to riley. her first boyfriend falls directly under that category. so she filed all of those feelings away to never be touched again because if they were horrible things would happen!

stepping back from lucas worked out in her favor because it opened the door for josh! who riley could never like because that is indeed her uncle! she went out here and there with a few artsy boys throughout her high school years just so that she could double date with riley, but nothing ever stuck. she didn’t mind. her and josh were also awkwardly always more than just friends but never more than friends, but as she got older, her feelings for him just got stronger, so she buried them and focused on school and art and life and boys are simply just not everything! contrary to popular belief! and what her journal from sophomore year with ‘mr. and mrs. josh and maya matthews’ doodled all over it say!
then toward the middle of her senior year, she started going to more nyu parties after a messy breakup (not technically a breakup because maya didn’t think they were dating which was the entire issue!) with missy bradford (who hosted the best parties) and that is where she starts running into josh more often. he starts walking her home, they are constantly talking, they’re hanging out, and it’s not that they didn’t do that before during family game nights and family outings and family things or even sometimes just to do it when he was around, but now she sometimes actually on campus because she has friends at nyu, mutual friends of his from parties that invite her to trivia and concerts and events. then, her birthday passes and their age isn’t an excuse anymore.
when she dies, she is rounding out her freshman year at nyu. she is majoring in art education, is finally dating the guy of her dreams, and has the world in her reach. :(
exactly how she dies in my app/ last memory: she and josh were driving in the car and she turned the voice off the gps because it interrupts her music for no! good! reason! plus why does he even need the voice? she is sitting right there she can just tell him when to turn. it’s so annoying and her voice is way better and so she is turning it off despite his protests because she wants to get through one song peacefully, it’s not going to kill them to turn off the stupid robot voice- but it definitely does. she gets too lost in her song, forgets to tell him to turn, he takes his eyes off the road because he is sure they have missed one, she can’t believe he doesn’t trust her navigation skills, he points out that she was giving a concert not navigating, she repeats it back in an annoying voice with a face that he laughs at, she restarts the song because he interrupted it, and bam! dead.

you’ve been here before. something about the feeling is so similar. death isn’t an experience you’ve ever been able to scrub from your brain, no matter how many other things have preoccupied your thoughts throughout the remainder of your still too short life. but it’s better to be dead at twenty-two than twenty, isn’t it?
i have no idea how i’m going do the rest of these intros but we’ll deal with that later! this is full of 10000 spoilers and it’s long as fuck but sure, go ahead and skim.

i usually play buffy at age eighteen because uhhh not gonna lie, i’ve only watched the later seasons once through and i’ll probably force myself to finally rewatch them in order to feel i’m writing buffy correctly but i will not enjoy myself!!
buffy is from california, born and raised. she started high school in los angeles, living the typical shallow, popular cheerleader life. at the age of fifteen, she was called as the new slayer which led to her slowly becoming at outcast at school because...learning that vampires not only exist but that your teen ass is the one who has to slay them all makes a person start acting kinda funky!
she ended up getting expelled after burning down her high school gym during a dance (LISTEN...she had to, that thing was full of vampires ok damn). this led to buffy and her mom moving and she transferred to sunnydale, which was helpfully located on a hellmouth. mb it was destiny that she had to move there (it was)
this is where she met xander and willow, and her new watcher giles (the old one sacrificed himself to save her oop) and thus the scoobies were born! also cordelia and angel were there xo
in order to not make this long as fuck, here’s a brief breakdown by season:
season one: buffy battles against her desire to just be a normal gal and not get dirt and nasty vampire ash all over her nice clothes. it’s also baby’s first death! she drowned a lil bit and xander gave her cpr so she lived to slay another day. she decided hey you know what i’m butt crazy in love with angel. she defeated the master (he was lame). no gyms were burnt down.
season two: buffy experiences a summer full of ptsd due to the whole dying thing (don’t worry babe, you’ll get used to it). there’s a new slayer in town, baybee. and she dies like two seconds later what the fu-- buffy turns seventeen and to celebrate, she politely gifts her virginity to angel and he says thank you so much i’m evil now. thus buffy has to start gearing up to kill the love of her life but we’ve all been there. mostly, though, she hopes that willow can restore his soul so she can go back to the being butt crazy in love thing. unforch, willow is too late and buffy has to stabby stab angel right through the chest AFTER he has his soul back ow ya hate to see it
season three: buffy spends the summer being highkey depressed as fuck about killing her boyfriend and starts living a fake life as a waitress in los angeles (IT’S CALLED COPING, MOM). but then she, ofc, gets sucked back into weird shit and realizes that she CAN’T outrun her slayer destiny. shortly after returning to sunnydale, angel returns from his stint in hell! and he ain’t feelin right! there’s a new slayer in town pt. 2. it’s faith and she’s wild as hell. angel slowly (not really, it was fast as fuck) returns back to his old self and he and buffy say let’s be friends but it’s a big ass lie bc they are in lurv. the mayor is crazy, he’s trying to ascend (don’t ask). faith goes full on evil and sides with the mayor. buffy is appreciated for her heroism at prom. the mayor tries to ascend at graduation and she is forced to burn down the library aka the scoobies’ base of operations i’m still bitter. oh yeah and faith is in a coma bc buffy needed her blood to cure angel but anyways enough of that
season four: buffy goes to college! this season is very boring. angel and buffy broke up “for her own good” (give me a BREAK) and she meets riley, a nice and extremely boring teacher’s assistant. OR SO WE THINK? he ends up being a member of this weird ass thing called the initiative idk who cares, i sure don’t. but he’s muscly and we like that.
i can’t tell the seasons apart anymore...buffy and riley date until they don’t anymore. suddenly buffy has a sister? in order to defeat a crazy ass bitch named glory. but buffy sacrifices herself to save her sister instead smh. buffy is brought back to life by willow and she’s lowkey pissed. she has a super fucked up mutually abusive relationship with spike. buffy gets shot and almost dies but doesn’t. so for the record, she’s only died twice by that point. ummm she does this thing to awaken all the other slayers on earth and form a slayer army so they can stop the world from ending???? they succeed and almost everyone lives on the show but i had to kill her so rip buffs

hi hey ok! this time i think we all know a bit more about annabeth -- so it’s less of a history lesson and more of a study of annabeth’s character !!
annabeth is a halfblood -- half human half greek god, a daughter of athena with the trademark grey eyes and all.
not really a daughter as such as a brain child -- born from her father, fredrick chase, a harvard professor, and athena -- who sent fredrick annabeth as a gift. except like ?? who’d just want a baby on their doorstep? not fred ! & neither did annabeth’s eventual stepmother. tormented by monsters and spiders, annabeth ended up running away from home when she was like eight years old -- eventually meeting up with other demigods on their way to camp half blood where she then lived for the majority of her life.
& then the breadth of the series happened -- saving the world from war once when she was eleven, that soon became an almost yearly occurrence every summer whenever percy came to visit. some highlights
holding up the actual sky in place of atlas
falling into and escaping out of tartarus
rebuilding olympus
extremely accomplished, but also as equally traumatised, she knew she was lucky to make it to the age of twenty knowing full well most don’t make it past sixteen.
she had also expected her end to come from war; a monster; you know? a usual demigod end. not a car ramping the pavement on the way back from another failed job interview. an accident she barely remembers.
& then she’s here -- and extremely theologically confused.
annabeth has been to the underworld. many times. she has seen her dead friends wandering the elysian fields, she knows many kids of hades.
this is not the underworld.
this is not anyone’s afterlife. why is she here ... ? & why does she have a soulmate that isn’t her still hopefully alive boyfriend? & also why is the person that they’re telling her she is far more resembling of a character like clarisse than herself -- ? she’s brains over brawn ... not a sword mightier than the pen.
anyway, she’s in the pyongchaek district as well as dorothea lmao
she’s extremely suspicious of absolutely everything here but more than that just confused -- which she obviously ... hates?
not quite sure who she can trust except if you get her talking about any of her special interests she will absolutely not shut up and so occasionally is prone to absolutely blabbing her mouth off.

introducing this aspiring beam of light who i would die for in a nanosecond ! imma give y’all some background since idk how many of you have read the all for the game series (if you haven’t, and you’re into ya. . . you really should lol) and i don’t want that to hinder you ! i will try to avoid plotty spoilers if possible hehe but in any case, consider yourself warned about the following triggers: abuse, death (murder-y and otherwise), pedophilia, violence, rape, & spoilers.
renee walker was born in detroit, michigan as natalie shields, though her birth name is all she ever got from her biological parents. she was raised by the foster system starting at age four; around the time she turned ten, natalie ran away and ended up joining a gang.
gang life was not kind to her initially. one of the higher ranking men took a liking to her - she wasn’t the first girl to fall victim to him, but natalie made sure she was the last.
his weapon of choice was knives, and so she practiced and practiced, until she was finally good enough to best him in a fight and kill him. (mind you, she’s probably a pre-teen at this point)
rather than getting angry with natalie, the leader of the gang saw potential in the young girl and lifted her rank within the gang. she remained with them for a few more years, until she was busted on drug charges, among others.
enter stephanie walker, lawyer and adoptive mother extraordinaire. rather than allow natalie to be swallowed by the system yet again, stephanie got her the minimal sentence for her charges in exchange for testimony against natalie’s former gang and adopted her.
stephanie gave the girl, now about fifteen, a new name (renee walker), a new religion (christianity), and a new life. renee loves her mother dearly and is eternally grateful for everything she’s done.
she started playing exy [a made-up but cool as hell sport that’s a central focus of the trilogy but you don’t really need to know any more than that lol] sometime after meeting her adoptive mother as a physical outlet, which is how she ended up at palmetto state university playing exy for the foxes
she plays all throughout college, and with the help of some plot things and stupid boys being especially but endearingly stupid, the foxes win the national championship renee’s senior year.
CANON ENDS HERE. obviously in order to play her here i had to kill renee somehow, and i decided to do it nice and painfully by giving her complications with scar tissue sustained from her time with the gang that managed to kill her soon after the foxes’ win at nationals, so, yay ! (not yay, renee does not deserve death but like here we are)
time for some personality tidbits and whatnot !
renee has an uncanny knack for keeping her cool, under pressure or otherwise. she’s got a calm disposition 99.8% of the time, but if you ever witness that leftover .2%, you should probably run as fast and as far as you can because she can and will gut you like a fish.
renee is a devout christian, so the notion of the good place / bad place shtick doesn’t require a whole lot of soul searching on her part
the only seriously confusing part for her is why she’s in the good place and not the bad place - in her mind, she hasn’t fully redeemed herself for all the terrible things she did before her ‘rebirth’.
the books don’t discuss her sexuality, but i have always headcanoned her to be pansexual, with a bit of a lean towards female & female-presenting folks.
she can & will make friends with anyone (see: andrew minyard) so be careful or she’ll be unconditionally loving and supporting your character(s).
her biggest goal in life since said ‘rebirth’ has been redeeming her present self for her past actions. it’s such a broad goal, though, that sometimes she has a bit of a hard time figuring out just how she’s supposed to do that. neither of those sentiments have changed since dying.
she’s not sure about this whole ‘soulmate’ thing, but will definitely be keeping an extra eye on hers just in case she needs protection (which surely won’t be a problem here... definitely not... right ?)
tl;dr: renee’s a sweetheart with a seriously dark past & she’s here to love and be loved, pls come @ me for plots ! pls !!

after a tragic accident claimed the life of his biological parents, seto & his younger brother were carted off to an orphanage to waste away until the foster care system claimed them like it did countless others. during the few short months the brothers stayed in the orphanage, seto showed extensive smarts that surpassed that of his peers. many began to whisper, calling him a child prodigy, a genius with a startling iq. he began to use this to his advantage and when a famed ceo came to visit, looking for a boy to succeed in his footsteps, seto stepped up. gozaburo kaiba was a notorious megalomaniac with more money than sense. his millions of dollars were dedicated to funding wars that destroyed the lands of millions -- but a man like that came with a fat wallet. at the age of eight, seto knew that this man would prove to be a fit caretaker for himself and more mokuba. to his misofrune, however, gozaburo insisted that he only adopt seto -- which is when the young brunette wagered a challenge. if he outsmarted the ceo in a game of chess, he would have to adopt them both. gozaburo foolishly accepted -- and sure enough, he was bested at his own game. it was supposed to be a joyous occasion, but it soon proved to be the start of a dangerous game.
gozaburo had ill intentions; he had adopted seto to consider him as a suitable vessel for his deceased biological son -- but in order to ensure that he was fit to be a candidate, seto underwent rigorous discipline; this discipline often came in the form of emotional -- and at times, physical -- abuse. the cycle was neverending, but once seto realized what gozaburo’s plans for him were, the cogs were put into motion. no one really knows the reality surrounding his step-father’s death, just that it had been an unfortunate accident. the plane chartered for gozaburo and his closest investors had crashed and with the accident, they were laid to rest, too. the company was passed down to seto and he became the owner of the kaiba legacy. he revamped the business, turning it from a heavy military-based organization into technological innovator revolutionizing the world of gaming. he started amusement parks and created intricate, high-tech equipment that changed the gaming landscape of holograms and virtual reality.
late in high school, he developed a fascination with duel monsters and found himself with formidable rivals. for once, he felt stimulated -- and at the same time, he felt mortified. being beaten in his own domain fueled an almost obsessive desire to best the king of games. his entire life after his last year of highschool became centered around defeating an egyptian pharoah and securing the title for himself. unfortunately, this very passion is what lead to seto’s untimely death when the quantum-pod he had built with his own hands exploded in outer space.

i’m going try and speed through the first portion of this bio seeing as like.... loki’s technically died multiple times and been reincarnated (....basically), and i write the current, third incarnation of them. so i’m only going to briefly mention the important stuff from the previous incarnations. and if any of this is confusing, 1) i’m sorry, and 2) i know.
original loki.
son of laufey, the king of jotunheim. laufey was (physically) abusive to loki. loki wound up getting taken / being adopted by odin and freyja. loki is fully aware of being adopted, and that he’s not an asgardian and is in fact a frost giant.
he, at some point, went back in time and brutally murdered laufey for being abusive (and also messed with things and basically manipulated the events that led to him being adopted).
he did some really messed up stuff, wound up being known as the god of evil rather than the god of mischief. hated being defined by that, ends up trying to change but kinda sorta died.
kid loki.
loki wound up being reincarnated, as a child.
he’s... the loki that could have and should have been? he’s.... great. if loki were a true hero. he used his tricks for good, tried to help people.
but literally no one trusts him because he’s the reincarnation of, yknow, the god of evil.
he’s being haunted by an echo/ghost of the original loki, a magpie known as ikol.
long story made short, ikol basically manipulates kid loki into dying.
ikol kills kid loki and steals his body.
and here we are, at the third loki - the specific one i write. they’ve just committed the “crime that will not be forgiven”. absolutely no one but loki themself knows about this.
they join the young avengers, trying to steal billy kaplan’s powers. but things don’t go at all as planned, and they leave the team behind after somewhat helping fix the mess they had created.
they wind up working for the allmother (freyja, idunn, and gaea) in an attempt to redeem themself, to make up for everything they’ve done wrong in the past.
it goes... poorly, given that king loki - a loki from the future - shows up and promises the allmother that asgard will be everything they want, all for the low price of loki being the eternal villain.
loki, understandably, is less than pleased about this, and eventually through a whole lotta shit happening, the truth about kid loki comes out.
queue the trauma conga line!
1) thor tries to kill loki, can’t bring himself to do it. still breaks loki’s arm and knocks out a tooth.
2) the asgardians declare loki to be worth no more than the dirt under their feet.
3) freyja banishes loki and sends them into exile.
4) odin gives them some very dubious life advice, and then sets them on fire.
king loki explains to loki exactly why loki will always be the villain, why they will never be accepted or loved or wanted.
it’s because they’re the god of lies, and no matter how much good they do, how can anyone trust someone with that for a title?
they get sent to “the metaphorical space. the place we lokis always go for the final act.” and have a lovely conversation with the original loki and kid loki who basically....
og loki tells ikol that they have to accept that all they will ever be is the villain, while kid loki offers ikol the option of dying, of killing themself. and that’s it. loki’s lot in life is to either be a villain or to die.
but, because they have an amazing best friend (verity willis) who talks them off either ledge, they choose the third option: a happy ending, redefining who they are because they don’t have to be what anyone else tells them they have to be.
because stories? stories are lies that people want to hear, lies that people love. and loki winds up becoming the god of stories, instead of staying the god of lies.
it makes more sense in context.
but it’s not about loki wanting to be accepted by others, not really. when odin says that loki is finally thor’s equal and that loki’s worthy, loki basically tells him to fuck off.
because see... loki’s arc is about them accepting themself and learning to love themself, and less about them actually being accepted by others.
but because this is loki nothing’s ever good and happy for long.
laufey’s back from the dead, and loki’s tasked with working with him to be a double agent for asgard (even though technically loki’s still in exile ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ )
shit keeps happening.
more shit happens.
then war of the realms !
during this time..... laufey finds out that loki’s a double agent and.... he eats loki.
yes, you read that and my trigger warning for cannibalism correctly. i wish i was joking or lying about this, but i’m not.
loki has a sword and cuts their way out of laufey’s stomach, killing laufey in the proccess. and in doing so becomes the king of jotunheim.
they do not want that throne. they don’t want any throne, really. they would gladly abdicate, but thor, who’s the allfather by this point, won’t let them.
none of the frost giants want loki as king, either but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
a bit more shit happens.
they wind up locked in the raft, a maximum security prison built to contain super-powered criminals. however, loki can still use magic in their cell because they’re apparently not really a villain, and therefore the raft’s rules of neutralizing super villains powers can’t hold any sway over them.
loki winds up breaking out of the cell because they can and that’s what they do.
and here’s where i break from canon and into the rp.
there’s fighting over the throne for jotunheim, and loki eventually wound up getting killed as a result.
the fake life presented to them is something along the lines of if loki hadn’t ever died before and was like kid loki (ie, good but through less than good means) the whole while.
EXTRAS
loki prefers being referred to as laufeyson/laufeysdottir over odinson/odinsdottir but will reply to either. they ultimately prefer no patronym be used at all, though.
their memories are... jumbled. they don’t remember everything from past lives, and they have memories of events that have never actually happened.
here in The Good Place™ loki 1000000% feels like they don’t belong.
partially because of how many times they’ve died and come back to life, like. they reckon they aren’t going to stick around very long.
partially because this seems too much like an alternate reality version of valhalla, and they know that’s not where they’d end up.
and partially because like... they’re a norse god. this isn’t one of their afterlifes. this is something else, and loki doesn’t know what to make of it.

here is some basic information about where from dorothea’s from before we get into the intro !
dorothea is from a land called fodlan -- a land compromised of three ruling territories, that all share one religion called the church of seiros.
in this land, those descended from ten warriors that saved the land with seiros carry something called crests which give people super powers basically -- these are the noble families, and as time has gone on, crests have become more rare, and even more value placed on them.
everything here is an aristocracy and your merit is based on your worth and nothing else.
the church runs a military academy where the first half of the game takes place called garreg mach for some reason.
anyway that’s the basic info to the game without going lore heavy or any spoilers -- because uhhhh it's a good game if anyone wants to experience it !!! & anyway moving on.
in your first breath you have signed your mothers death sentence. a bastard child born for one reason, to save this dying noble family you were born to serve. but your father calls you as he called your mother, useless. you didn’t bear the crest he had committed adultery for.
& so, the noble family sends away another maid -- your mother, to the streets of enbarr. just in time for another plague to ravage the land. you do not know your mother, sometimes a soft voice lulled you to sleep but was that a force of maternal love or the hallucinations set about from starvation ?
an orphan. street rat. filth. you grew up dodging shoes and curses, begging for scraps -- of love, attention, and food. dorothea made most of her measly livelihood through singing. she was blessed with the songbirds voice, but the filth that stained her face and matted her hair prevented from reaching her peak.
eventually -- one lucky day at the ripe old age of six, the primadonna of the local opera house -- the mittelfrank opera company, stumbled across the pauper. enchanted by the diamond in the rough, manuela cassagranda took dorothea in as an almost surrogate daughter.
& now this is a story all about how my life got flipped upside down
in a span of three years, the orphan became the mythical songstress -- the most sought after young girl in the adrestian empire. she was adored, and as she grew older, lusted after. the target of kidnappings, assassinations, marriage proposals and down right sleazes -- dorothea recognised the same nobles fawning over her as the same people who had kicked her in the face when she needed help.
they didn’t care about her. they cared about her beauty & voice they were bees attracted to a flower in full bloom. she was a commodity, a ticking time bomb, and soon -- she knew -- they would no longer fawn over her. there would be a new mythical songstress a new apple of everyones eye. with age, she thought, she would not grow more beautiful. but rot, wilt, as her summer of life would soon turn to autumn, then winter.
her dislike of the upper class, & most men, came when her own father expressed his adoration for her -- completely unaware that this pride and lust was towards his own scorned bastard.
it soon became apparent to dorothea, that if she didn’t want to meet the same fate as her mother, another commoner thrown out when passed their expiration date, she must marry well & focus on nothing but.
when manuela left the opera company to become a professor at garreg mach, dorothea followed suit by currying favour (& sleeping with) several nobles to pay for the outlandish tuition fee. She knew very well that the year she would enrol would place her in the same grade as the three future leaders of the three kingdoms.
she was a flirtatious force to be reckoned with at the academy, dating frivolously and constantly, trying to find one noble who would be willing to “bum it with a commoner.” people loved her; and quite equally, some hated her. the gossip and rumours causing dorothea to develop an extremely poor self-image, soon becoming reliant on everyone else to fawn over her to establish her value.
before graduation, war breaks out as their class president declares the church to be heresy. dorothea sides with edelgard, wanting to tear down the current system because yes she is a comrade and fuck the bougouirse am i right? this doesn’t deter from the fact she hates war & fighting, often fearing for the life of the average citizens lost in the senseless violence.
the war wages for six years before it’s conclusion, dorothea dies in the final battle trying to save a group of paupers from being crushed in the burning city.
& then she woke up here -- and everything is fine ! she’s told ! told that she was a good person. she wanted to believe that, but she doubted, that with the blood on her hands and the thorns of herself, that she could be good -- and then the her that had died ... didn’t seem like it was her, and she realises, she was right. she most certainly wasn’t good. & that the goddess, the one she never believed in, was going to punish her for her sacriliege.
so now she’s here ! vibing ! playing her guitar, flirting w every girl but excited at the concept of a soulmate ! some facts about how she’s doing !

What was your character’s last canon memory/where you’re playing your character from?
In terms of storyline, Dorothea is pulled from a crimson flower route in which she sides with Byleth and Edelgard in overthrowing the church. Her last canon memory would be participating in the final battle against the mad dragon, the immaculate one, in the burning wreckage of the burning city of fhirdiad.
How did your character “die”? (they don’t have to be dead in canon, so if they’re not, this would be entirely up to you)
In dorothea’s memory, she died during the battle – specifically, trying to save a group of orphans trapped in the burning city after the fighting was mostly over and the battle one – separated from the rest of the army, there was no one to come to her aid as the building collapsed on her, she died, glad that she managed to at least save the children amongst the bloodshed.
What are 3 mundane things the architects of the Neighborhood can do to torture your character?
surround her with extravagant displays of money & wealth that are frivolent and hinder more than benefit people, no quiet space from other people – always being interrupted every second of personal thought, & the constant whispering behind her back that she can never find out what is being said about her but just assumes the worst anyways.

Dorothea would like to think that she was a good person in life, that the people she stepped on to get ahead deserved what they had coming due to how they sexualised and idolised her – but she hates herself, she thinks that due to her participation in war she could never atone for that sin, no matter how reluctant she was.

the boy is dead

he’s dead in canon. boy’s a ghost (was a ghost?).
he was killed - murdered - by his then-best friend, barrington whelk, who needed a sacrifice to try and wake a ley line.
the murder weapon was noah’s own skateboard, just so we’re all on the same page here
the sacrifice didn’t actually work, though, as noah was dead and the ley line didn’t wake up
whelk left noah’s body where it was, decomposing out in the forest, for years
seven years, to be exact
and the only reason it really got found is because noah wound up making some new, better friends, who eventually found his body and were able to help give his family some closure
speaking of those friends, noah absolutely loves them without question.
i’m not gonna get to into because i will start crying (i have before), but just please know that he’d do anything for the gangsey
anyway!!! so he’s a relatively quiet person unless you get to know him, in which case he’ll be a bit more loud and like he was when he was alive

he didn’t think he would continue to exist at all, that the rest of his afterlife would be a great big nothingness, so winding up in the good place was a huge surprise to him

her biggest question is why the memories she’s been shown aren’t hers, and why they make her seem even more adventurous than she actually is.

Hi there! I’m Lilly and here is my soft boy. Like seriously he tries to be cool and what not, but like he is just very soft and sweet and I love him. But here is some notes on him.
• Luka’s label is Rockstar, which he doesn’t fully agree with, like Rockstars are energetic, extroverted, and a little egotistical, which isn’t him. Sure he loves rock and roll and he isn’t a bad player, like it is... it was his dream to be a rockstar, but like he doesn’t prescribe to the stereotype of sex, drugs, and womanizing.
• my boy is Pansexual, because man he just has so much love to give, and he just loves everyone. He finds himself more drawn to someone’s heart song then their gender identity.
• he doesn’t know how he feels about being in the good place. Granted he doesn’t know how much he agrees with this whole good place bad place thing. He believes all humans are neutral beings, neither purely good nor purely bad, so to subject someone to such black and white labels doesn’t make sense to him.
• he had issues speaking as a kid, he had trouble with certain sounds and had a lisp. He went to a speech therapist as a kid to help, but because kids are mean, it led to him being quieter. He prefers to speak through his music than actually speak.
• his flaws are soft heartedness and absent mindedness. Sure soft heartedness sounds good, but it really isn’t in his case, he often puts others wants before his own needs. He will go out of his way to make sure everyone else is okay and happy, even if it is slowly killing him. His mother would try to remind him that he had to come first, but he doesn’t believe that, why should he put himself first when so many people that he deems better than him need help. He is also super absent minded. When he gets too focused on things, he often tunes about everything and everyone, accidentally forgetting appointments with people, leaving them to believe he doesn’t care, which in turn makes him feel horrible, which then makes him turn to his music, get fixated on that, and the cycle continues.
• but yeah he is my sweet boy and if anyone would like to plot hit me up!

this is what you’ve been waiting for ever since the first time you escaped count olaf’s clutches, ever since you woke up in a hospital with a crooked line drawn across your neck. you were always in the least danger growing up, the eldest, the one holding the inheritance closest in your fourteen-year-old hands. this is where your parents, your family, your friends, all of them...this is where they are, isn’t it?

i don’t know how long this is gonna get but i have an unhealthy obsession with asoue, i’ve read the series only twice somehow but i’ve also read the prequel (the all the wrong questions series), the beatrice letters and the unauthorized autobiography so i! have some Thoughts

violet was born into a very comfortable lifestyle. her parents were well off but also extremely curious, intelligent and kind. they nurtured her love for inventing and made sure she was always surrounded by literature and music. she was (mostly) never spoiled and raised with a strong moral compass. for the first 14 years of her life, things were just about as perfect as possible.
the only kind of strange thing was the fact that she didn’t know any of her other family. and she would continue not to meet these distant family members until her parents were killed in a fire, effectively destroying their house and all of their belongings. except for a spyglass which the baudelaires took with them after visiting the burned remains of their childhood home.
they were sent to live with count olaf because he was the closest family (in proximity) to them ok whatever. his house was gross, he was gross, he tried to marry child violet for her inheritance that is truly not legal but it seemed very serious at the time.
WELP you know the rest (probably). for the next year-ish of her life, violet and her siblings were shuttled around between distant relatives they had not only never met, but never even heard of. but all of them had stories to share about their parents. and everywhere they went, count olaf followed, in shitty ass old vfd disguises. and for a while, every guardian they briefly lived with ended up the same way: dead.
real quick rundown: they stay at a school and meet two of the quagmire triplets, they stay in a fancy high rise and learn that not all vfd members are as brave as their parents, they stay in a town and learn the dangers of mob mentality, they run off to a hospital where violet is nearly murdered in the name of “science,” they hitch a ride with olaf to a carnival and briefly become carnies and yet again watch someone die, they get kidnapped by olaf and violet and klaus are forced to save sunny from his clutches, violet meets the missing quagmire triplet quigley (first boyfriend...one true love...question mark???), they lose quigley and end up in a submarine, they receive a telegram from quigley that leads them to kit snicket (THAT’S MY GIRL), who takes them to hotel denouement and wow this book is wild but anyways here they run into a LOT of familiar faces and meet the actual love of my life dewey denouement, the baudelaires inadvertently cause his death and um YEAH violet is still scarred for life (AND DEATH), the baudelaires end up on an island that they learn their parents once stayed on, kit hecking DIES but so does olaf so that’s good, and the baudelaires, Literal Ass Children, are left as the caretakers of kit’s daughter (beatrice baudelaire ii).
and that’s where the series ends
ik shit’s supposed to be tragic but.....in my mind, the baudelaires and the quagmires find each other again. they all become official vfd members and follow in their parents’ footsteps. violet takes it upon herself to raise beatrice when klaus wants to go to school and sunny becomes the youngest member in vfd history.
honestly, the worst part of dying is leaving beatrice behind. assuming quigley is alive (but please kill him...bc i want him here sakjhdj) then she knows her “daughter” is in good hands (she officially adopted beatrice when she turned eighteen, easily able to prove her financial security) but if not, she’s just left bee in the exact same situation she and her siblings were once in. so um rip!
violet has a lot of trauma and ptsd (CLEARLY) that she was probably never going to fully come to terms with but now that she’s dead um! ig she just...never will!
