My Top 5 Fashion Choices in BL 2023
i am bad at remembering certain outfits or even shirts from all the shows i've watched so i'm pretty sure not all the show-stopping ones are included, but [taylor swift voice] this is me trying~

I. Mork's Fart Proudly -shirt
we both probably remember when the bts picture of this shirt first dropped. i was laughing so hard my stomach hurt bc this shirt is absolutely RIDICULOUS. but then the whole episode 2 happened and i read this post about the symbolism of this shirt (by the amazing @dribs-and-drabbles), and now i'm simply enamored. i cannot look at this silly shirt without tearing up. it's so important and truly a fashion choice.
II. Puen in Stripes throughout Our Skyy 2
epitome of softness and comfort is a married man with his kidnapped adopted son wearing all his beloved striped shirts. i love all the outfits in vice versa, in our skyy and the original show, but there's just something about puen's stripes. wearing them seems to bring out his inner child, which makes me super happy ♥
III. Ai Di's oversized sweaters
feral kitten ai di dressing up in all these soft and colorful sweaters, sweatshirts, and hoodies is probably the best fashion choice any bl has ever made. truly shows how you shouldn't judge anyone from the way they look. ai di might look like a babygirl but he can actually kill you, no questions asked.
IV. Mew as Daddy's Lil Monster
unhinged revenge era mew was something else. he was living his best slutty life. was he heartbroken and a hazard to society? maybe so. but he was also serving absolute cunt. i honestly think all the outfits mew wore post heartbreak were absolutely stunning (black tanktop my beloved), but this one takes the cake. there was really something about the cropped shirt and collar, right?
V. Ray's fashion sense in general
lbr ray is the true fashion icon of this show. the stylists were popping off with him. man hasn't made a bad fashion choice in his life. bad life choices, sure, but at least he looked good while making those. you will never catch him slipping. sipping? uh... too soon?
Bonus: Khatha and his butterfly shirt
this is technically not a bl but in my heart it is, so don't even start. i just thinks it's insane for a show to put a guy dealing with killer moths in a slutty butterfly shirt. he was serving Looks. i was on the floor. i don't care that ppl are dying, can he walk around some more so i can stare again-

Edna Walker and Lily Brookstone would have been such great friends :(
Imagine and AU where Lily lives--
Them meeting and bonding over their sons being ninja.
Family dinner nights with the Walkers and Brookstones. Lily shares her cooking (headcanon Cole and his mom used to cook together) and the Walkers bring whatever weird junkyard desserts they have (they seem like a jello pudding family). Cole and Jay sit mortified at their mothers embarrassing them with stories. Ed and Lou just stare at each other awkwardly because they have absolutely nothing in common.
Lily mentions that she's a dancer and Edna comes to all of her performances. She's at every one so frequently that Lily stops telling her about all of them because she worries about the travel but somehow Edna is always there anyway??? Lily's like "how?!?" and Edna just smiles and says, "I enjoy your dancing, dearie."
Edna and Lily both wear their hair in buns, so they have get togethers where they do each other's hair. Somehow they rope Nya and Pixal into it so that the four of them can have matching hairstyles.
And if Lily DID still get sick, who do you think is gonna be there day and night? That's right, Edna's not going anywhere. She makes a quilt for her bestie to keep her warm, she makes every type of soup known to Ninjago. And when Lily's hair is gone, Edna misses braiding it, but she makes all sorts of bandanas.
Of course Edna is inconsolable at the funeral, but she's there to hug Cole (though he's been taller than her for years) and not let go until he's ready for it. Ed managed to clap the shell shocked Lou on the shoulder. Cole may have ninja duties to attend to, but he's always welcome to come to Sunday dinner with Jay and Nya.
Rest in peace, Lily Brookstone, Edna Walker would have loved you.

On 5 SEPTEMBER, a beloved Sky player named VIOLETTA passed away due to a very, very long battle with leukemia. I had found out that she actually was following me on Instagram, and I felt super duper heartbroken that I never got the chance to know her or even reached out for anything .... but having read all of the comments on her death announcement post, she was a very loving, compassionate woman and mother who brought radiance with her wherever she went. I was a month late making this (due to energy slumps + focus issues, mental illness n' PCOS sure is fun), but I just COULD NOT go without making some sort of tribute for her ......
TELFOSO, my beloved little goddess, takes in this Child of Light into her sacred Heaven, for it's genuine souls like her who are guaranteed a place in it (or whatever one believes awaits us.).
Rest in peace, Miss Violetta. 🎔 With much love from Telfoso and I.

You're walking home, or to work or school, or wherever- and you get caught in the rain. It starts to downpour. Like, big fat droplets of Gaia tears; Thick 'my son-husband has secretly hidden children within me causing a terrible migraine so welp; here baby Cronus, take this flint sickle and castrate brother-daddy' kinda rain. I'll stop with the Greek Mythology now, I'm sure you get it. Heavy rain.
You're getting soaked despite whatever you're using to protect your skin from it all (A binder, a bag, your jacket, a hat,.. an umbrella perhaps), your nose is cold, and you can barely see 10 feet in front of you apart from any street lights around, when-
A car pulls up directly next to you. You have the horrible panicked moment of 'am i going to be kidnapped today', before you recognise the car and the side door is thrown open in front of you.
Your F/O gestures and/or calls for you to get in. They knew you would be out at this time (They're familiar with your basic schedule ^^), saw the downpour and thought immediately 'Oh shit wait, Y/N's out in this'- and came right over to get you out of it.
What's their car like? Is it sleek and well taken car of? Is it a regular old thing? Does it look like its gonna break down any time now?
Do they have a blanket for you to throw over your legs? Or do they throw you their coat??~~~
Do they enforce seat belts? Are they gonna refuse to go if you just pull the blanket over your shoulders and 'forget' (Or genuinely forget) to buckle up or will they lean over and buckle you themselves?
Are they taking you to your destination or are they taking you to their house because you need a hot shower and to get warm or you're gonna catch a cold? Are they kind about it or bossy? XD
Will they stop by a drive thru to get you something to eat and/or drink? Maybe something lovely and hot?? Or are you two the crazy people who eat ice cream when its cold 'cuz it wont melt'?
Possibly most importantly; Is their any chance that your F/O would kick you back out into the rain for any reason? XD

#tw cancer#currently sobbing bc#my former high school classmates and i graduated back in 2015 and still have a whatsapp group together#our form teacher is in too and by now she's already retired… and so has my former english teacher#she gave us his email address last year but i never got to write to him or forgot… i also heard he battled cancer and it hurt sm to think#about bc i loved him sm as my prof#and now i was typing out the email after all this time and ended up thanking him for all his influence bc boyyy he just#he's done so much more for him than he'll ever know. he's the reason i grew to love the english language#and why i had the confidence to write in it and speak it and enjoy it… back then he supported me so much#and gawd im crying so much thinking about the things the english class did for me a decade ago… time fucking passes like this huh#just… teachers honestly never know the influence they have on the kids. can be good or bad but gosh if it's good then it lasts forever#and i guess that is true for everyone.. good people have an effect on you forever. i strive to be kind to have that effect too :') and#appreciate those who did just that for me#i hope he writes back to me.. and i hope he's been well#gawd. tears. yeah anyway just wanted to let this out somewhere#sigh

sorry i have to ramble some more about last twilight bc i cannot contain it. this is not anything meta, just some thoughts.
as an avid music lover and now a serious soundtrack enthusiast, i need to mention how much i adore the music choices of this show.
i am not sure who picks the final songs to be used and what criteria they use for it (is it p'aof? do they have some kind of library for songs they can pick from as many songs appear in several bls? or do they get free hands?), but the bg songs in last twilight that have caught my attention have been brilliant.
yes, sure, they use the instrumentals of their original songs. that's typical for bls and any shows really. but there are also other songs.
i like collecting instrumental songs to put on my playlist i use for writing, so good instrumentals always intrigue me. last twilight has now introduced me to two artists whose music feels very inspirational.
first one is francis wells whose song april will be cold was used in the scene where mork has flashbacks of his conversations with several ppl which then make him turn back and accept the caregiver job from day. i listened to several of the albums and these songs are very adventure game themed. very energetic, powerful, agile perhaps. a surprising choice. made me wonder where they found it (i am still leaning towards them having a library of songs they have free access to rather than someone actually knowing these artists).
another one is bonnie grace's song titled notorious. it was used in the scene where they show mork making his way through the market blindfolded as he tries to understand day's experience. once again, very adventure game, fantasy movie themed. pulls me even more outside the feeling of a "regular" bl. this show doesn't fit the category btw. idk if that category still exists as such but the boundaries of it have been pushed for a while now. i like it, it's what we need.
all this to say: i am very curious about these music choices and very grateful that last twilight is throwing new music my way. i will never say no to that.
(now just please release the ost song used in the trailer am desperate!!!)

tiny seed of a fic idea: the ghoul and lucy make it to vegas after 2+ weeks of Team Bonding Through The Power Of Life Threatening Road Trips, by now lucy has basically solemnly vowed to help him find his family, and then in homage to the new vegas game, cooper IMMEDIATELY gets shot in the head and dies the minute they enter vegas. he's fine, he'll be fine, he's gonna get patched up by some random good samaritan doctor and come back swinging for incredibly violent revenge. but lucy does not know this. bonus points if it's her shithead dad that shot him
#actually i wouldn't be surprised if season 2 went with something like this#lucy getting shot would also be interesting because like. everyone loves that trope#gruff mean morally gray dude ''doesn't care'' until someone he totally won't admit he cares about dies#and then it's a 🎶 fucking bloodbath 🎶#but on the other hand. cooper getting shot gives us plenty of lucy bending her moral compass juuuuuust a bit#tearing through vegas always on the verge of tears DETERMINED to find out where barb and janey ended up#because she made a promise gosh damn it#plus of the two of them who's gonna go for a reunion hug when it's revealed the shot wasn't fatal after all?#lucy. obviously#could get the best of both worlds by having cooper get shot and ''die'' but then give him some reason to believe lucy's dead too#he's on his murder revenge quest and finds out.... maybe that lucy was tracking down his family and died somehow because of it#(obviously she didn't)#and THEN we get a reunion hug!#oh. oh wait#oh no#this is becoming more than a seed FUCK#me#fallout show
