Not really a question but i’d just like to express that i’m a huge can of your fic, i’ve read it since chapter 1 and have been sucked in ever since. majority of the 0309 content made by fans often have them terribly mischaracterize making lots of people end up hating the ship instead cause all they think the fans are capable of doing are creating terrible stuff of them and just set a bad impression on the ship even when is just supposed to be a silly pairing cause milgram doesnt run on romance!! T__T including me i used to like (not like it too much) to say the least though i tried to be more open to it cause i was starving on fan content and just went on ahead on ao3 and said “fuck it i’m reading a fic of them” to which i did .. some of the fics are questionable though when i found yours i just knew it would be good from the start. The way you characterized Fuuta and his experience with his crime was just ODBAJhsjsjd /pos. The way you potrayed Mikoto’s social life, ideals and personality is so so close to his canon one if not that its quite exactly the same!! (to how i imagined it atleast) its refreshing to see people characterize him as someone that isnt a ‘big top hottie thats overly flirty and is an asshole and doesnt care about anyone’s feelings’ and the way you really showed and expanded the dynamic they’d have together (in an au) atleast was just well done, you elaborated it well in the fic. most of the people i’ve seen just makes them grumpy x sunshine, etc etc tropes not that its bad but i think they’d have more to if than just that especially with their crimes and ideals involved and how they view life. if you’d open a twitter account i’d totally support you like hell, big time i’d love to hear more about your thoughts on 0309, Mikoto / Milgram in general and maybe give your fic more attention it deserves one way or another <33 chapters are already 8/10 done! i cant believe its nearly done aswell. i’m not huge into shipping but i love the way you write the characters (even the side! Yuno + Mahiru + Shidou’s characterization is so good) pleaase give yourself more credit as a good writer in the milgram fandom!! i know you’re a busy person anyway (you seem like one) though i just wanna say thank you for taking the time to write life’s reflection and the other oneshot you wrote. Take care of yourself :D<333

thank you so much!! i havent delved much into other milgram fanfics, in this case talking specifically about 0309 because i know from past experiences in different fandoms that whenever i did that i'd become so worried about my own characterization that i just ended up dropping the entire idea and never writing it again.

writing a slash pairing the milgram fandom is a bit... i guess probably frowned upon, depending on who you ask. it's not meant to be a shipping scene but where theres a will theres a way lol. ive become really fascinated by their made-up dynamic. mikoto and fuuta have barely any canon interactions and whenever they did-- it was obvious that they don't even like the other. why ship that? well i can't provide an answer for everyone, but for me it's just because i like reading about two broken people healing and why not add a tinge of almost-enemies to lovers in there? lol

its funny you mention a twitter because i did make one about a month ago but immediately abandoned it because i didn't plan on using it... i guess i could though! i just end up overthinking everything i post but it would be nice to engage a little more with like-minded (read: 0309 truthers /hj) people

Chapter 10: She’ll Be the Death of Me

Hi guys! I’m sorry this chapter took a while, I’m busy with IRL and I’ve been trying to catch up on my other series and my event 😅! But we’re now halfway through the series, and I hope you all enjoy this chapter and the series so far! This chapter is sweet, flirty, and ends in a cliffhanger which I’ll expand on more in the next chapter, think of it as more of a taste on what happens because there’s a lot of missing scenes towards the end that’ll be explained in chapter 11 😆!

William softly sighed as he stood on the roof of their temporary base at the border of the Diamond Kingdom and Clover Kingdom. Lord Julius had discovered another dungeon near the border and wanted his squads to investigate it before the Diamond Kingdom did, William had chuckled softly when he first heard about the mission as it had reminded him of one of the first missions he had ever sent Yuno on.

But this time it was a bit more serious.

They had received word that Diamond would be sending a small army, along with a couple of their Shining Generals, so Julius decided to be rather safe than sorry and sent both the Golden Dawn and the Black Bulls. The mission was only supposed to last a week but unfortunately took longer due to the dungeon seeming to appear than disappear.

William had called Zera using the communication device and explained the situation to her. She had said very few words but wished him luck and told him to be safe, which made his heart skip a beat, before telling him she would see him when he got back.

That was the first and last he had heard from her.

William had been worried that maybe he had said or did something wrong, or that maybe she was just busy and couldn’t talk, but something was amiss with her.

“ So this is where you escaped too huh?” Yami said as he approached him, William turned slightly to face him. “ And here I thought I was the only one trying to get away from all the brats.”

“ I wouldn’t say I’m trying to escape, it’s more like I’m taking a small break from my Captain’s duty.” William said with a chuckle, which caused Yami to laugh as well.

The slightly older man pulled out a pack of cigarettes from his back pocket before he opened it, pulled one out, and placed it into his mouth.

“ What’s up? You’ve been quiet for a while.” Yami asked as he glanced over at Wiliam, the younger man turned slightly before he shook his head.

“ It’s nothing.”

“ Really? ‘Cause you coulda fooled me. Is it the mission? Or something personal?” Yami asked curiously. He wasn’t usually one to pry into someone else’s business, but this mission was important, and if Vangeance’s head wasn’t in the game then Yami needed to know.

“ It’s…personal.” William admitted softly as he stared out at the sunset, Yami took a drag of his cigarette before exhaling the smoke.

“ Let me guess; it has to do with that new wife of yours?”

“ Zera isn’t my wife yet…but yes it has to do with her.” William admitted softly.

“ I think she’s beginning to get cold feet and I don’t know what to do. I’ve really grown to like and care about her over the past few weeks and…I want her to know just how much without overwhelming and scaring her.” William said as he tilted his head in thought.

Yami looked at him in surprise, this was the first time he had ever heard Vangeance say he liked someone, and Yami didn’t even need to use his Ki to see that he was dead serious. The small smile on his face, the way his eyes lit up as he spoke or thought about her, and the way he would mutter to himself about much she would like this or that. It was beyond obvious that he was in love.

Yami had initially thought, and slightly hoped, that maybe Vangeance would realize that it was just a joke and the two would part ways amicably. But seeing as how that didn’t happen, maybe that meant that his little ‘joke’ actually caused a good thing to happen? Maybe?

“ Why not just take her out on a date?” Yami suggested after he took another drag of his cigarette. “ I mean, you two kinda skipped over the whole ‘dating’ thing right? So why not take her out on the town and treat her to a nice dinner, y’know to learn more about each other like other couples.” Yami added as he turned towards Vangeance, who placed a thoughtful hand under his chin before he began to walk back and forth.

“ Take her out on a date? Hm, he has a point. There’s still a lot we don’t know about each other, and talking at a restaurant would be a good way for us to learn and listen without being interrupted. But we’ve already been out on a date, although that was more impromptu so I’m not even sure if it counts as a date.” William began muttering to himself as he paced, Yami rolled his eyes and shook his head before he put his cigarette out.

“ Geez it’s been a while since I’ve seen you so worked up about something. This woman must be pretty special.” Yami said as he crossed his arms and a smirk came across his face, he watched as a warm smile appeared on Vangeance’s face at the mention of Zera.

“ Yes, she’s very special.”

Two Days Later, Clover Kingdom

Zera quickly dusted off her hands as she took a step back and placed her hands on her hips to admire her handy work.

While most of the Golden Dawn, including William, were gone she decided to keep herself busy by working on the Courtyard and filling some client orders. But the courtyard was her main project, and she had just completed it.

“ Alright! It looks great if I do say so myself, good job Zera!” She complimented herself as she patted her own back.

‘ I wonder if William will like it..?’ She thought curiously before shaking her head, she was supposed to be distancing herself from him and yet here she was thinking about how much he would line the courtyard?

After he and the Golden Dawn left for their mission Zera had decided to distance herself from William, that way when she told him the truth it wouldn’t hurt as much. But it was a lot harder than she realized. She had to continuously remind herself not to pick up the Communication device and call him to tell him about her day.

Zera quickly looked up as she heard ‘zooming’ noises from above, as she did she saw multiple Golden Dawn members fly above her and towards the back of the base. She quickly turned around and ran back inside towards where the Golden Dawn members were landing.

As she got closer and closer to the area she could feel herself getting more and more excited to see William. She tried to scold herself, it had only been a week, so why on earth was she acting like he had been away for months?

She stopped just short of reaching the door, quickly composed herself, and opened the door leading to outside. She saw many Golden Dawn members jump off their brooms before placing them against the wall and chatting amongst themselves. Zera let out a small huff as she stood on her toes to try and see if she could find William amongst the crowd.

“ Are you looking for someone?” A voice asked behind her, and she nodded.

“ Yep. I’m looking for the Captain to be more specific.” She muttered as she continued trying to scan members' faces and the tops of their heads, this was one of the few times that she cursed her short stature.

“ Oh? What does he look like?”

“ Well, he’s of average height, wears a dorky looking mask, and has terrible taste in fashion. But he has a nice, handsome smile. And his eyes are a really pretty shade of purple, they kind of remind me of Purple Hyacinths.” She said before a frown appeared on her face. “ But wait a second, why are you asking me what your Captain looks like? Shouldn’t you already know that…?” Zera asked as she turned around, when she fully faced the person her eyes widened and a sound similar to that of a goose with Laryngitis emitted from her throat.

Standing behind her, with a smug smirk, was none other than William. She couldn’t believe she didn’t recognize his voice, but then again she had been so focused on finding him that her brain didn’t register that the voice belonged to him. At least…that’s what she was going to tell herself and anyone that asked.

“ So, I have a handsome smile and eyes the color of a Purple Hyacinth hm?” William asked as he crossed his arms, Zera’s face turned a bright shade of red.

“ Did you forget the part where I said you have terrible taste in fashion and a dorky looking mask?” Zera asked as she crossed her arms as well, William chuckled and shook his head.

“ No I didn’t forget about that, I just…decided to focus more on the positives than the negatives.” He said simply with a small shrug.

The two fell quiet as the Golden Dawn members walked past them to go inside the base. As Zera stared up at William she could see his face was tired behind the mask, she could tell he didn’t get much sleep while out on that mission, and it was probably mentally exhausting having to deal with the Diamond kingdom as well as physically.

She had thought that William and his squad were slackers since they always seemed to find the time to bother her, but after seeing his and his squad member’s faces after their mission she realized that she couldn’t have been any more wrong about that.

Suddenly, William walked up to her and gently placed a hand on her cheek and gently stroked it with his thumb. He watched in amusement as her face turned an even brighter shade of red at his action. His smirk turned into a mock-innocent smile as he removed his hand.

“ Sorry, you had a bit of dirt on your cheek.” He said innocently, and Zera’s eyes narrowed.

While his words may be true, he also used it as an excuse to tease her. Well…two can play that game.

Zera smirked flirtatiously as she walked up to him, William’s smile disappeared from his face and he backed up a bit to try and put a bit of distance between them. But she continued walking towards him until his back hit the wall behind him.

She moved closer to him until their bodies were pressed up against each other. William swallowed as his throat went dry and his heart slammed against his rib cage. She was so close, almost too close, he cleared his throat and tried to look away but Zera wouldn’t let him. Instead she placed her hands on his chest and brought her face closer to his, her lips hovering slightly over his. All William had to do was lean forward slightly and he could capture her lips in his…but as he was about to do so he felt something on his bottom lip.

“ You have something there Captain.” Zera said lowly, her voice sounding so seductive and teasing in the moment, and as she pulled her face away from his and William was brought back to his senses he noticed the object on his lips was her thumb.

She teasingly wiped his bottom lip with her thumb before she moved herself away from him with a triumphant look on her face.

“ Hm, looks like you had a bit of dirt on your lip.” She told him with a wink before she walked past him and into the base.

William took a calming deep breath as he removed his mask and began to try to down his burning hot cheeks with his hands. This woman…he suddenly huffed out a small laugh. This woman was going to be the death of him.

The Next Day

Zera groaned as she stared at herself in the vanity mirror. Why did she agree to this huh? Why did she agree to go out on a date with William when she was planning on telling him the truth and leaving him?

The night before, after the squad had all eaten dinner, William had walked her to her room like he did every night and just before she could run into her room he grabbed her hand and asked her if she had any plans the next day.

When Zera looked confused for a moment and told him that she didn’t have any plans William smiled gently and asked her if she would like to go out on a date since they were both free. Zera had been taken aback and had tried to say no, but when she saw the earnest, hopeful look in his eyes she just…couldn’t say no.

So now here she was, sitting in front of her vanity, trying to get ready for her date with her ‘fiancé’. She wasn’t quite sure what they were going to be doing on this date, were they going to just have dinner? Or would they go see a play? Or would they just…walk around town like they did in the Black Market?

Her heart began to be a little faster as her mind traveled back to their time at the Black Market. She couldn’t recall the last time she had fun like that, and everytime her mind wandered back to that day her heart would begin to beat faster and her cheeks would go red. It was one of the most fun days of her life.

She silently hoped today would be just as memorable. If not for her sake, but for William’s. Because tonight, after their date, she was going to tell him the truth and break up with him.

Zera finished getting ready and walked out of her room. She chose a simple white ankle length dress with a small floral pattern on it, a pair of nice dress sandals, a neutral colored sweater in case it got chilly, and she wore simple jewelry that included her ‘engagement ring’. She finished the look off with putting her ash-blonde hair into simple waves and her signature bang slightly over her left eye.

She walked down the halls until she reached the entrance of the base, where William was pacing back and forth slightly. Zera smiled softly as she looked him up and down, she could see just how nervous he was and she found it absolutely adorable. She tilted her head slightly as she noticed he was dressed more casually than normal and as her eyes continued traveling up she saw something even more surprising.

William wasn’t wearing his mask.

He turned around as he heard Zera approach him and she paused for a brief moment. His face…it was heavily scarred. From the top of his head to just below his eyes were covered in dark purple scars and spots, and it admittedly took her back a bit. She knew there had to be a reason for him to constantly wear a mask, but for some reason…this hadn’t been what she expected. And it made her heart hurt.

“ Oh you’re here Zera,” William said as he walked up to her. “ You look absolutely beautiful.” He added softly as he looked her up and down, Zera cleared her throat and tried her best to hide her slightly blushing cheeks.

“ Thank you, and you don’t look too bad yourself Captain,” Zera said as she walked up to him and began to wipe off some imaginary dust off his robe.

“ Really? Even…without my mask?” He asked softly as he tried to keep his hands from trembling. He didn’t want her to see just how nervous he was about showing her his face.

Zera pursed her lips for a moment as she studied William’s face, she reached up and gently touched his hair before slowly moving to his face.

“ Actually…I think you look a lot more handsome without that silly mask. Although I am a little hurt that you didn’t feel comfortable enough to tell me before tonight especially when you know my dad has a huge scar on his face.” Zera told him with a small pout, she watched as a wave of relief washed over him at her words and his nerves seemed to dissipate.

“ I apologize, I wasn’t thinking.” He said with a small laugh and Zera just shook her head in mock disappointment at him.

“ C’mon let’s go out on our date before it gets too late!” Zera said as she grabbed William’s arm and dragged him out the door.

After William and Zera’s brooms landed in the Capitol he quickly led her towards the market place. The two walked and looked around, just enjoying their evening. They would stop here and there and look at trinkets and clothes, but Zera would always mutter under her breath about how she could get the item cheaper in the Black Market and William would laugh in amusement.

This continued for a while, there were a few times where he wanted to reach out and take her hand in his and hold it gently. But he didn’t. He wanted to wait and let her make the first move, but she never did.

They talked and laughed as they walked to their next destination, which was the most expensive restaurant in the city, but William kept getting the sense that something wasn’t right with Zera. Sure she was laughing and talking like she normally did, but that light in her smile wasn’t reaching her eyes. Instead of happiness, there was sadness in them. Which made him concerned.

The two walked into the restaurant, sat down, and ordered their food just like every other couple and talked amongst themselves. But William just couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong. Maybe his scars actually did bother her? Or maybe he took it too far with his teasing the night before?

Finally their conversation died and the two fell quiet, he watched as Zera played with the food on her plate, she barely ate which made William’s gut feeling even worse. So, he reached out and gently grabbed her hand, which caused her to jump in surprise.

“ Zera, is everything alright? You’re acting oddly.” William asked in concern, he watched as Zera’s ice blue eyes widened at his words before they looked away and she gently pulled her hand away from his.

“ Zera…” he muttered softly as he watched her get up and walk towards the restaurant’s balcony. William quickly got up and followed her outside.

Zera walked over to the railing and leaned against it, her eyes scanning the tops of homes and eventually worked their way up to the night sky where they stayed.

William followed and slowly approached her. He stood quietly beside her and tried to get a good look at her face when suddenly she grabbed his hand, opened it, and placed something in his palm.

When he opened it his eyes widened and his head quickly snapped in her direction.

“ Zera…?”

“ I’m sorry…William.”

In the palm of his hand was her engagement ring.

‘Raising A Child With Love’ Story Event — Chapter 01 [Yoritomo Route]

This is a story about a future that will one day come true ——

One fine day, a few days after I had given birth, I was resting in bed.

(I’m grateful that I’m given time to rest… but I really need to get up soon.)

I’ve gotten a lot better.

I sighed while thinking of my baby who was with his nanny.

Suddenly, the sliding door opened and Yoritomo came in.

Yoritomo: Oh? You’re already up.

Yuno: Lord Yoritomo…! I thought you were busy with work…

Yoritomo: Not to the point whereby I can’t spare some time to visit you.

I was pleased to hear him say that while walking towards me.

(I’m sure you must be extremely busy. But you’re still making time for me…)

Yuno: Thank you.

I tried getting up to thank him, but Yoritomo placed a hand on my shoulder to stop me.

Yoritomo: Don’t over exert yourself. Why do think I’m the only coming to you?

Yoritomo sat down next to me and gently brushed my bangs with a worried look.

Yoritomo: … It seems that your fever has gone down. You look better than before.

(You must’ve been worried sick…)

He kept staring at me, and I looked away shyly.

Yoritomo: What’s wrong?

Yuno: Please don’t stare at me so much. I’m really glad to see you, but…

(I’m lying in bed after falling ill during labour.)

(I’m not wearing any makeup and my hair must be in a horrible mess.)

As I got a little uneasy, Yoritomo sighed and smiled at me.

Yoritomo: Silly girl, what are you getting shy about? You don’t look too bad.

(Nn…)

Yoritomo sealed my lips with a kiss.

When he broke the kiss, he gazed lovingly into my eyes.

Yoritomo: —— We even have a child together now. You don’t have to hide anything from me.

Yuno: Lord Yoritomo…

(… Yoritomo truly cares deeply about me.)

My heart filled with warmth when I realised how loved I was.

Yoritomo: By the way, are you able to get up even just a little?

Yuno: Hm…? Yes, I can.

I was surprised by the sudden question, but I answered anyway.

Yuno: I’ve been sleeping all day, so I’m not tired at all.

Yoritomo looked relieved when I told him that.

Yoritomo: You do look well-rested. That’s great.

Yuno: Was that a compliment?

Yoritomo smiled back at my playful remark.

Yoritomo: Of course it is.

I couldn’t help but chuckle at his expression.

(—— It’s been a while since I last talked to Yoritomo like this.)

When my condition was at it’s worst, I was unable to have such carefree conversations.

I felt my shoulders relax when I realised my life was gradually returning to normal.

Yoritomo: Anyway, if you think you’ll be alright, wait here a bit.

Yuno: Lord Yoritomo…?

Yoritomo stood up and called out to someone who was waiting in the hallway.

Yoritomo: You can come in now.

(Huh…?)

After a short wait, the nanny entered the room with a baby in her arms.

Yuno: Rindoumaru…!

A smile naturally appeared on my face and I immediately tried to sit up.

Nanny: Here, My Lady.

The nanny held out my baby named Rindoumaru.

The nanny bowed as I took the baby into my arms.

My baby was sleeping soundly in the warmth of my embrace.

Yuno: Adorable…

Just looking at him was enough to make me teary eyed.

Yuno: Look, Lord Yoritomo. He’s fast asleep.

Yoritomo also leaned in to look at Rindoumaru’s face.

Yoritomo: Yeah, they say that sleep is good for child growth.

Yuno: Indeed… I’m sure he’ll grow up really fast.

(But… I won’t be able to look after him all the time.)

As the son of the Seiitaishogun, Lord Yoritomo, he was to be raised by a nanny. It was part of the customs.

(I know it’s inevitable, but it still makes me sad.)

I couldn’t help but feel dejected.

But I quickly brushed it off.

(My baby can sense it if I’m gloomy, right?)

(We can’t be together all the time, so we should cherish whatever time we have together.)

Careful not to put in too much strength, I held my son tighter.

The feeling of having him in my arms seemed to melt away all my fatigue.

(I’m so happy to see you…)

Yuno: Thank you for bringing him here, Lord Yoritomo.

Yoritomo: … Yeah.

With a smile on his face, Yoritomo reached out to caress Rindoumaru’s cheek.

It made me incredibly happy to see the tender look Yoritomo gave Rindoumaru.

Yoritomo: —— Yuno, do you want to spend a little more time with him?

(Erm…)

Yuno: Yes, of course.

Yoritomo smiled when I responded energetically.

Yoritomo: I guessed as much.

Black Clover ch355

Can’t say too much happened this chapter so thankfully this is gonna be a whole lot shorter than last review. As expected, we got William jumping in with his magic to heal up Jack, but I really have no clue if Jack’s already dead or not. When Zenon & company attacked the Golden Dawn base way back, we know William’s magic is capable of saving people on the verge of death, but if they’re already gone, then no dice.

Full of determination, William proceeds to strike against Lucius, but that doesn’t go quite as well as I hoped. I thought he would’ve learned how to deal with time magic a little bit from when Patry fought Julius (since he was sorta kinda there for the fight, or at least watching from Patry’s eyes) but now we got pain. His arm looks like it’s straight up disintegrating.

As if we didn’t already have enough to worry about, we see all those angels from last time start to launch several beams of light (which I’m very sure will do way more harm than good) towards the entire kingdom.

Surprisingly, each and every one gets reflected (at least, that’s what it looked like happened?) by a particular magic that we haven’t seen much of yet but certainly happy to see more of. Ah Yuno, we’re so lucky to have you and your second grimoire.

It’s pretty amazing to think that Yuno was able to pull off such a huge spell, one that is on par with Julius when he protected the kingdom from Patry, with a kind of magic he’s only had access to for a little over a year. Imagine how powerful his star magic could’ve been if he had received his spade grimoire sooner.

Now having William call out to him and declare Yuno the new captain of the squad is kinda quick..? Granted we learned Yuno had reached grand knight level back in ch332, but just coming out and saying something like “okay you’re the leader now” seems like such a sudden change of command. I do appreciate that William acknowledges how strong our prince has become. And if Asta thought it was frustrating having Yuno outrank him before, then now the poor lad is gonna be even more upset at his new title.

I also love how the chapter shows us how easily Yuno could’ve given in to revenge against Lucius, with how frustrated he was about Lily becoming a paladin and Asta getting seriously injured and sent away, but tells us instead that his main goal for winning this fight is to prove he’s strong enough to become wizard king. He certainly has a one track mind.

Seems those bandages are finally coming off as well. Kinda reminds me of that secret Igneel power up Natsu had for a brief moment against Zeref. If the arm does contain a new magic, I wonder if it’ll be star or wind magic.

Black Clover chapter 333 reaction and spoilers

I always suspected Julius would be an eventual antagonist but I never imagined it would be in this way. That said, I like this direction, but again, as always, Tabata’s kind of playing to the part of me that loves things like Sailor Moon.

Lucius says, “I gave it a lot of thought. The greatest devil-host potential in the history of our family, an exceptional being born with two souls in one body. Who were we? What were we meant to accomplish? We bound a supreme devil, Astaroth of time magic, to ourselves in an attempt to learn the answer.” He then goes on to converse with Julius and tell us that his goal is to “bring peace to this world.” What’s interesting about this is that Lucius and Julius are the third pair of souls born to one body in the story. First we had Patri and William who represent the past, then we had Yuno and the elf child who represent the present, and now we have Lucius and Julius who represent the future. It’s interesting to see a past, present, future set up as pairs of souls bound to one body rather than three divine singular spirits or even three divine spirits each to one realm bound together as a trio. It’s also interesting that Lucius’ goal echoes Julius’ goal but that’s also unsurprising. It’ll also make Lucius a good final villain to go up against Asta and Yuno who also share this goal because their definitions of improving their world and the means to do that are going to vary widely. But I think it’s also going to lead to a satisfying conclusion because this is going to be a fight for your right to party kind of arc.

It’s also interesting that both Lucius and Julius chose to make a deal with a devil together.

I’m also curious what Julius and Lucius’ magic truly is since Astaroth is the one with time magic. My guess is that Lucius likely has soul magic since that would complement the Dark Triad’s body, blood, and bone magic. Julius, however, I’m not sure, but I’m sure it’s different since Patri and William as well as Yuno and the elf child don’t have the same magic as the soul they share(d) their body with

sLucius says to Asta, “I’m Lucius Zogratis, savoir of the world. Julius is dead. … He’d completed his mission in service of our ideal. For the sake of true peace, a peace without sadness or hatred, war or discrimination, we'll repair all humans. My siblings and I will destroy them then use our magic to re-create them. We'll make them into fortunate people who are equal in every respect. Then, to prevent further mistakes, I will rule over everything as the final Wizard King.” I like this because it immediately shows the hypocrisy of what Lucius is doing. No discrimination? Except everyone must be remade. No hatred or war? Except Lucius must have total control with no choice given to people. It also helps set up that he’s different than his siblings and definitely a bigger threat because what he wants is so much bigger and focused than what the Dark Triad wanted. Because to remake humanity means expanding this scope out into the rest of the world including parts we don’t really know in canon yet. It’ll be interesting to see what world building might come of this since if Lucius remains in Clover Kingdom, then the international fight will have to come to Clover Kingdom depending on how big this will get.

More hypocrisy. Lucius declares he has to remove Asta for being a flaw born without magic, which is – ding ding – discrimination.

Asta’s katana dispelled the time stopping spell, so next week should be interesting. I also like that it was the katana that dispelled it as it underscores the need for everyone to work together to defeat Lucius.

I also like how this is moving in a potential direction of Julius’ prophecy from the start of the previous arc might just meant if Asta survives and the shuffle kingdoms no longer exist it’s because they had to either form some kind of EU situation or something happened that toppled the kingdom system of government to become something more equal and beneficial for all people. It would also be nice that even when Asta and the protagonists win, in the end, Clover Kingdom is forever changed, because that was what I wanted from Naruto and not even Boruto has given us that since there are still twelve year olds running around being state soldiers, and that’s always been one of my biggest beefs with that franchise

fav characters

asta: number one best boy who deserves all the happiness in the world. literal sunshine. he just makes me so very happy every time i see him 😭

yami: yeah he's strong, inspirational and a dilf but my fav thing about yami is how he's just so chill and unbothered and he's a mess just like the rest of his squad, and even though he's a powerful captain, we still see that he still has moments where he gets defeated or cornered and gets help from others, and we get to see him become even more stronger. he's also just very funny af, the way he lovingly bullies his family 🥰

nacht: one of the best written characters in the series! im a sucker for edgy characters with long hair, so he was kind of an instant fav for me. i loved him even more when we got to know about his past with yami and morgen, and how he became the person he is now. also very sick character designs with his devil union forms! im looking forward to see how him being with the black bulls will affect him!

noelle: also one of the best written characters not only in black clover but shonen in general. im still fairly new to anime so i haven't met a lot of heroines yet, but out of all the ones i have seen, noelle is probably the best written. we get to see her overcome her weaknesses and continue to grow with every fight. she doesn't get pushed aside as a minor support; she gets plenty of moments to shine and contributes to the main battles. she's not someone who gets one very cool moment and then forgotten about. every time she gets a new spell im just like !!!!! yes !!!! best girl !!!!

mereoleona: this woman has ignited something within me when she showed up and im just in love with her. super bad ass, headstrong and unbothered. she's obv one of the most powerful characters, maybe even more than yami (debatable tho), yet she prefers to do what she wants and i just love that for her. my queen my beloved.

yuno: another best boy !!! i've always liked yuno because he's just the best rival ever. in the beginning we thought he's the typical bully rival, but we learned that he's actually so supportive of asta (literally asta's biggest fan) even in the beginning. my love for yuno grew during the spade raid arc bc we get to see how much he grew stronger, but also how he really feels about all the titles and power he was given. also im really excited about seeing more of his star magic because i love anything space related hehe it's gonna be so pretty animated

julius: i loved julius because he was such a precious nerd about magic. his excitement about everything was just so cute. then, chapter 331 happened. my brain almost exploded. lucius zogratis !!! is he evil for real ??? or is he possessed ??? either way, one can't help but look back at his entire character and relationship with everyone and wonder if it was all an act. he's still cute tho. but like, regardless, his character had always been very interesting, even more now with the plot twist! im really excited for the manga to come back from hiatus and find out more about about him because that shit is craaaaazy.

finral: i love this boy with my entire heart and soul. yeah he doesn't stand out as one of the most powerful characters, but that's why i love him so much. he's just so soft and gentle and so loving and wholesome no matter how he's treated. he isn't really much of a fighter, but he supports his friends and family in his own ways. he's strong in his own ways. his backstory with his family really hit home for me personally, so i can't help but connect with him and root for him. i just want him to be happy 😭

vanessa: also low key in love with her. hot and powerful??? yes please. her backstory with the witch queen was so so good! but mostly i just love her energy and her dynamic with the black bulls. she really is everyone's big sister. her presence in general is just so comforting ??? idk how to explain it but i love vanessa so very much and i hope she'll have more moments to shine again soon!

zora: also one of the best written characters in the series! first of all, great character design. love the sharp teeth and crop top. second of all, great backstory. it was def painful but it was just so so good. with zora (and zara), we get to see a side of the magic knights that not many people in the clover kingdom acknowledge. we also get to see more characters like asta and magna, those with very little to no magic, but also different in his own ways. his magic is super cool too! but like yeah. he's just so very cool and so funny !!

now the ships !!! i don't really focus much on ships but here's some of my fav pairings!

yami and charlotte: they're cute. i like the little compliments he gives her (in his own way), and charlotte getting flustered is always amusing. we don't know if yami genuinely has romantic feelings for her, but they'd be cute! so i hope we get to see how they develop as the manga comes to an end!

gauche and grey: also very cute, especially because of that one episode where gauche was telling grey that she's fine the way she is ???? pls. it's clear that grey sees gauche as someone important to her, and a motivation for her to get stronger and push herself, and gauche is one of the few people that truly knows her, so i like them very much.

asta and noelle: im kinda on the fence about them being romantic. like they'd def be cute together for sure, but my son hasn't really shown interests in anyone aside from sister lily. even then, that's really just a school boy crush lmao. i feel like asta hasn't really thought about being in a romantic relationship because he's so focused on being a magic knight. but i do love that noelle is now upfront about her feelings. i do love them platonically though!!! they've been growing and getting stronger together since day one!!!! they motivate each other and support each other in however way they can, and it's just so wholesome!

luck and magna: i just love these two together, doesn't matter if it's romantic or platonic. just seeing them together makes me so happy omg doesn't matter if they're bullying each other or fighting together. i just love them !!! i hope we get to see them fight side by side again soon!

finral and vanessa: i personally like them platonically but don't mind those who ship them romantically. just like with luck and magna, i just love them together!!! they're my fav duo !!!! they just seem so fun and comforting to be around. i would love to be friends with them omg

yami and nacht: the black bulls parents !!!! with them, it's 60% romantic and 40% platonic kinda ship. their past, with the two of them just running around the clover kingdom and being troublesome, is just so precious. they relate to each other and understand each other a lot, + they got that thing with morgen 😭 so they def have a lot of history. on the other hand, i feel like nacht may be emotionally unavailable because of everything that happened to him, so he may not want to be in any romantic relationship atm, but regardless, i just love nacht and yami's dynamic! that team up against lucifero was soooo good and im really excited to see more of them soon!

asta and yuno: just like with magna and luck, i don't mind the ship whether if it's romantic or platonic. i just love them together! they are rivals but also besties !!! and that's all that matters! but also as i said with astelle, asta and yuno are both too focused on other things to really think about romantic relationships, so im not sure about it. but overall, this duo is just *chef's kiss* every time they interact, it's always so cute and amusing. and the team up fights aahhhh !! i wonder if we'll ever get to see them fight each other. that would be interesting.

charlotte and mereoleona: ok so you know the hot spring scene ???? and charlotte and mereo were drinking together ????? that's some good fuckin food. that's like the only interaction they got but idc they would be so hot and powerful as a couple omg. if charlotte gets tired of yami, mereo is right there waiting for her.

nozel and dorothy: doesn't matter if they're romantic or platonic but i really like the idea of dorothy just annoying tf outta nozel for shits and giggles and the two of them being low key kind of close. i love relationships where one is like, no energy, and the other has chaotic energy (when dorothy is awake ofc). i just think they'd be so funny together.

oooh OK I THINK I WILL buuut ten is a lot so i think im gonna put this under a cut or smth so i don’t bother anyone lol

ok SO OK black clover has such a huge cast that it’s actually unfair because every character is to die for buuuut relationship-wise:

asta & yuno: i’m so so so basic BUT I JUST?? LOVE THEM SM??? and i’m always a sucker for rivals/best friends but i think what gets me here is how healthy their relationship is?? they both acknowlegde each other and push each other to do their best without being harmful and it’s such a refreshing breather from tropes where only one person in a rivalry really cares about the relationship. i see them as the best of friends who always confide in one another and know each other better than anyone else, but recently (and it’s all lily’s fault for ranting about it) i’ve fallen in love with their ship too. which is surprising becuz i’m not really a shipper but these two.... they did it for me

the vermillion siblings: GOD THEY JUST??? I LOVE THEM SM! mereoleona is my absolute queen and the way she embodies that violent older sister who expects the best from her siblings kills me. i love how leo looks up to his siblings and the way all their personalities fit their sibling role is so so so perfect.

noelle & vanessa: love love love the sibling-vibe i get from these two! i wish they had more scenes together because their dynamic is so great. i love thinking about how vanessa pushes noelle out of her shell too!!

nacht & asta: i don’t think i’ve ever loved a favoritism relationship as much as i love this one. THE WAY NACHT SAW ASTA AND WAS LIKE “yup ur mine now” IS SO FUNNY HE JUST UP AND ADOPTS HIM ON THE SPOT. but nacht’s soft spot for asta IS SO CUTE and honestly i reallllly hope we get to see some scenes where nacht interacts with the rest of the bulls and everyone notices the blatant favoratism.

Ever since that day, I started to accept that it was really over. The path to happiness was rocky but I was able to conquer it with the help of my friends and with his help.

Acceptance is the first step to moving on. Of course, seeing that scene was a mind-opener for you. Any thoughts of getting back together were discarded.

Your happiness is the most important thing right now.

The Black Bulls was a huge help. You really appreciate how much they care about you. They weren’t saying it directly but you can feel it from their actions.

Captain Yami didn’t send you on any joint missions with the Golden Dawn. Finral would invite you to go to places using his magic. Charmy served you your favorite dishes almost every day. Vanessa took you out to drink or go shopping every once in a while. The chaos brought by Magna and Luck everyday was enough to make you smile. Gauche would make you look at a photo of Marie. Gordon will often follow you around. You barely understand what he is saying but it’s the thought that counts. Grey will cheer you up by impersonating the other members. Zora would surprise you with his rainbow stink bug. (Forget about Yuno and focus on the foul smell, am I right?) Noelle, Asta, and Nero would basically do ANYTHING just to make you smile at least once a day.

Moving on from what you thought would last forever was difficult. But, moving on with the support of your friends made it easier. Especially, with his support.

“(y/n)!!” Asta screamed from the top of his lungs.

“You don’t have to scream, I’m literally right next to you!” you screamed back.

“Do you want to go on a mixer with us?” he said slightly lowering his voice. You really don’t understand how such a loud voice is coming from that tiny body. Why is it that he’s so loud while Yu- Nevermind.

“A mixer? That’s Finral’s idea, isn’t it? Sure, I’ll go with you.”

“Great! Let’s make some new friends (y/n).”

‘He probably still doesn’t know what a mixer is for even though he already went with Finral that one time.’ You thought

After getting yourself ready, you went out of the base where you saw Finral, Asta, and Noelle waiting for you.

“Noelle? I didn’t know you were also going. Keeping watch, huh?” you said with a smirk making her flustered. Everyone knew she liked Asta, except Asta.

“W-what?! I just- I just thought that you would be more comfortable if there was another girl with you!”

“Yeah sure, Noelle.” You said with another smirk making her as red as a tomato.

You quickly arrived at the diner thanks to Finral’s magic.

You and Finral each sat on the ends of the seats with Noelle and Asta in between you.

The conversation started by introducing yourselves to each other. You started talking to the person in front of you with a slightly long black hair and brown eyes. You could say that he is good looking. You both talked about your life and what you do.

He told you that he runs a restaurant. You could see the passion in his eyes while talking about cooking and making people happy through food. You learned that he runs the small restaurant were you saw him with another girl. You felt your heart ache but you tried to ignore it.

You were so caught up in the conversation that you forgot about your comrades. You turned to your side to see if they were doing fine. Finral was mostly flirting, but you already expected that. Asta was as cheerful as ever. And, Noelle was continuously interrupting Asta and the girl in front of him, completely ignoring the existence of the man in front of her.

The night ended well, at least for you. Finral, once again, used his magic to take you all back to the base.

“Thanks, Finral. I had fun tonight.” You said with a smile and hugged him.

“You’re welcome, (y/n). Let me help you get back on track.” He said as he hugged you back.

You waved him a goodbye while walking on your way to your room.

…

You went on several trips with Finral during your free time. You went to the Royal Capital a lot but he would also bring you to places with beautiful sceneries from time to time. Like, right now.

You were lying down on a flowery field next to him, looking up at the sky.

“Thank you…” you said while smiling up at the sky.

“For what?” he asked and you noticed his eyes on you, but you continued looking at the blue sky.

“You’ve always been with me, since the start. From when he broke up with me.” Saying those words still hurt, even after many months, but not as much as it did.

Finral got flustered when you said that as he didn’t really think much of it. He was helping you just like a friend would. But, he was happy hearing those words from you.

He didn’t answer so you looked at him. He looked so peaceful with his eyes closed with a satisfied smile on his face. You did the same thing and both of you relaxed in the comfortable silence.

…

It has been over a year already. The broken pieces of your heart are finally back together. No heart aches. Just plain happiness.

You continued on your duty as Magic Knight, saving lives. Up until now, you’ve focused on yourself and nothing but yourself. You’ve learned a lot about yourself in a process. You realized that there really is a rainbow after the rain.

You were hanging out again with Finral today. You walked around the Royal Capital before deciding to rest at the park.

“(y/n)?” he quietly said that you barely heard him.

“yes?” you turned to look at him curiously noticing that he looked so nervous.

“I- I like you!”

Did I hear him right? He likes me?

“W-what? Since when?” you asked, confused and shocked at the sudden confession.

“I don’t know. That day when we went to the mixer? The girl in front of me got annoyed since I continued checking on you if you were doing alright. When I saw you having fun with that guy, instead of feeling relieved, I felt a pang of jealousy. I don’t know. I just really wanted to protect you more since then.” He was looking at the ground, fiddling his fingers, as he said those in a quiet and shy voice. You smiled at his cute gestures.

“I like you too, Finral.” You told him back. The look of shock on his face when he looked at you was so funny that you couldn’t stop laughing. He was blushing. A LOT.

“I think I am finally clean and it’s all thanks to you. I’m ready to start another chapter of my life with you.” You told him, smiling wildy at the man in front of you. You hugged him which he happily returned and kissed you on the forehead. The sweet gesture made you smile, hugging him tighter.

…

On the other side of the park, on the exact place where everything ended, there was Yuno.

Recently, he’s been coming back to that spot a lot. He regretted it. Breaking up with you. Why did he end it instead of fixing it? Why did he even think that he’d feel happier without you? Why did he make you cry when he promised not to? You are his happiness. You were his happiness.

Yuno saw everything. He saw how you smiled at Finral, the way you once smiled at him. He saw how you two hugged and how he kissed your forehead.

‘It’s over already. I was the one who ended it.’ He thought upon seeing both of you.

You’re happy now. Without him.

Someone else will now take care of your heart that he once broke. Someone even more worthy of your love.

He wanted to pull you back but he knew that he shouldn’t. Instead, he turned around and walked away from you. Just like that day.

Regrets. That was his punishment for breaking the one who truly loved him.

A little Valentine's thing ❤️

This is for a small event, with the prompt being "What would [x] give to show their love/appreciation?". My character was Asta.

How does Asta show his love and appreciation?

Asta is a person who appreciates the people around him in a happy and kind way. It might come off as rather loud and energetic, but the gist of it is that he wants people around him to be happy. The problem rises more in how he goes about it. Asta is a little bit of a paradox: he can be very oblivious as to the reasons for someone’s actions, but he is good at reading emotions. He might not always know what is causing someone to be in a positive or negative mood, but he can recognize it. This might seem like a general trait for any human being, but with Asta it is pronounced, be it due to his age and lack of experience or simply how he is wired. The point is that though he might not know why something would make his close ones happy, he knows that it does.

Closeness and happiness are important things to Asta. He wants people to believe in themselves and in him. So how does he show his love and appreciation?

Through experiences.

Asta’s sole reason for wanting to become the Wizard King in the beginning was to stop the discrimination people around him were facing. Was he a child with no clear idea how big of a job that was? Yes. It still shows that he cared about the circumstances of those around him enough to stick to this idea even to his teenage years. His motivations could have changed throughout his life experiences, but we all know that he still stands up for those that are looked down upon. He hasn’t forgotten where he came from. When Vanessa takes Asta to the market in Chapter 10, he immediately thinks of his family back at the church and how he’d want to bring them there. He wants them to experience the same wonder he feels, because peasants don’t visit here often, and it would be a fun experience for them.

There are also obviously things that show that he cares in fights: he doesn’t want them to get hurt or belittled, and encourages and inspires people throughout the combat. I’ll leave that one out though, because I think if Asta could choose, he wouldn’t put his loved ones into such life-threatening battles as they are in now.

I think, if we saw more of common interactions and if Valentine’s Day (platonically) was a thing in this case, we’d see Asta ask his friends to spend time with him or someone he thinks they’d have fun with. The activity would depend on the person: he might ask Vanessa or Finral to go to the market with him, get Yuno to visit their hometown with him - this could perhaps even work with Noelle, but also simply hanging out with Noelle could!-, lounge with Yami or Nacht, etc, etc. The list goes on. Asta has a lot of connections, and so even if he wouldn’t enjoy an activity himself, he could easily find someone who will.

Either way, whether or not Kokichi's true plan was to mercy kill the class, it was still understandable (but not justified, it was still unforgivable)

Some people say that Kokichi actually did want to mercy kill the class. Same reason as Gonta, the outside world is hell. A lot of people think that Kokichi knew it was fake and was smarter than the mastermind, but he saw it with his own two eyes before using the flashback light. Imagine choking on unbreathable air and seeing a planet once viable be completely destroyed. How can you not be convinced?

I know he flat-out says that Gonta was the culprit in trial 4, but that wasn't until much much later. I mean.....he started off the trial be saying "Kaito was the culprit!"

And even if he did know it was fake, he still couldn't let Miu get away with murder. Miu not only has to kill someone to get out of the school, she has to kill the rest of the class. Kokichi had to wager 2 people or 8 people. If it was a perfect world, it would be none. But the killing game isn't all sunshine and rainbows

TDLR: I genuinely don't think what Kokichi did in chapter 4 was as bad as people stress it was. Yes, it was still pretty shitty, but I understand the position and different POV's he was in, while a lot of the fandom overlooks it and are blinded by the tears they shed for 'uwu precious baby Gonta that was used'

‘gonta is stupid, etc.’ sirr, no- like everyone in V3’s ingame age is probably like 16-17. also i think there are probably people who think shuichi is a ‘emo baby boy, so cute w/ kaito!’ 😕. if anyone thinks like that, i already dont like you.

some people just narrow kokichi into the ‘it’s a lie! i’m the mastermind!!’ lines and forget that he ALSO saw and ‘breathed’ the outside world’s air and felt hopeless

i’m not going to name any names but i saw a person who thought Amano x Gasai from Mirai Nikki and KomaHina are stable relationships but s410uma isn’t.

Chapter 1

Summary: Park Hana, a former actress who is well known for winning both International and National Awards gave up her incredible hard earned career to enter the high society and marry the man that she loves. The said man is no other than Jung Jaehyun, Seoul hottest bachelor and heir to Jung Technology. Their six years of marriage life is blessed with their eight years old son Jung Yuno, and to people outside both are madly in love and faithful to one another. But are they really happy and in love? or Hana is just blinded with the sweet lies that Jaehyun told her? All will be known and tested when Hana tried to uncover the real identity of their son’s newly hired professional tutor Kim Yeri.

Your deep slumber on the king-sized bed was interrupted by the alarm clock on your nightstand signaling you that it is 5 a.m. and you need to be up and ready to prepare your son for school and help the maids prepare breakfast for your husband and son. Jaehyun, your loving husband were still deep in his sleep with his arm ever so protectively wrapped around your small waist under the silk bed sheets. Jaehyun came back late last night due to work at the company, but it warms your heart that at the end of the day he would still come back into your arms. You tried your very best to rose out of bed without waking him up, as you know that he really needs that extra sleep. But your effort failed as the moment you touch Jaehyun’s arms the dimples on his check appear alongside the groggy smile. “where is my lovely wife going? It’s still too early” Jaehyun mumbles, still feeling very much sleepy. “it is 5 a.m. my love” you peck his forehead. “I need to be up and ready for my two heroes”. Jaehyun tried his best to peak at you with his heavy eyes “we’ll be fine, so come back to bed and cuddle me. I had a really hard day and I need my wife to make me feel better”. “I’m afraid that your wife is unavailable right now, come on Jae.. I need to be up or else Yuno and you will be late for school and work” Jaehyun let out a loud grumble, very much dissatisfied with your answer. “okay.. but let me have you for another 5 minutes” without waiting for your reply, Jaehyun tugs you into his arm and leave a long, sweet kiss on top of your head while trying his best to go back to sleep.

As soon as you are sure that your husband is sleeping again, you make your way to your walk-in closet that you share with your husband which is literally double the size of your suite master bedroom. You start your day by picking out your outfit, you decided to go with your signature midi gown. Today it is the ruched-sleeve flared midi gown from Self-Portrait alongside your pearl necklace that Jaehyun had gifted you on your wedding night. You have been wearing it every day ever since and it has become your signature style. If you have to say one of the perks of being Jaehyun’s wife, it is the rows and rows of designer brands clothes, jewelries, bags and shoes in your closet. Even though, you got to wear these expensive clothes ever since you were actively working as an actress. The clothes that are presented to you as Jaehyun’s wife are super exclusive and some are made just for you, as it is the Jung family’s rule to look classy and different from others.

You went down the grand staircase towards the kitchen, where your maids and chefs are buzzing making the specified menu for breakfast. The main master of the house, Jaehyun preferred the traditional Kimchi Jigae while the young master Yuno is much more westernized, preferring pancakes with whip crème and fresh fruits for his breakfast. The staffs greeted you warmly, as your extra hand in the kitchen really helps them speed things up in the morning. “Morning everyone, has the organic fresh produce from New Zealand arrive?” you greeted the staff cheerily with a warm smile adorning your face. “Morning Ma’am, yes they have just arrived” said the sous chef. “Great! let us start preparing breakfast for the two masters, shall we?” you laugh lightheartedly. Despite being the Madame of the house, the staffs really thought of you as a very kind, elegant and very understanding lady who treated her staff like her own family. That is the sole reason why they are always loyal and happy to be working in the mansion that are obviously a bit too big for three people to be living in.

Once the breakfast is ready to be served, you went up to your eight years old son’s room to wake him up for school. The white grand door to his room is slightly opened which is odd, considering you make sure to shut it close right after tugging him into bed last night. You tiptoe to his room and peak inside; you heart is thumping heavily and ready to scream at the top of your lungs just in case there is an intruder in the room trying to hurt your baby boy. But what you saw, were totally different from what you have imagined. There on the race car shaped single bed is Jaehyun cuddling with his son under the blanket, Yuno’s head rest calmly on top of his father’s chest while Jaehyun has his arms wrapped around Yuno’s small frame in a protective manner. Your heart immediately settles and warms at the sight in front of you, it pains you to have to break them apart for the sake of getting them up and ready for the day.

You make your way to the bed carefully and sat on the edge of it, you caress your son’s head gently trying to wake him up. “Yuno-ya it’s time to wake up my love” Yuno complains and further cuddle into his dad’s chest, and that wakes Jaehyun up instantly. “You should wake up and get ready for work too love” Jaehyun looks up to you and with a gentle smile he said “I think I would not be able to wake up unless I get a kiss from my queen” his deep dimples glows in the dark, with his cheeky smile that always manage to make you have butterflies in your stomach “what are you going on about Jae, Yuno is here. Stop it and hurry up” Jaehyun gave you a very confused faced that you know damn well as his antics to get what he wants. “I don’t know what you are talking about, my love. kisses or I’ll go back to sleep” with that Jaehyun closes his eyes again, trying to get back to sleep. You know that unless you gave in to what he wants there is no way his going to wake up. You quickly lean down to peck his lips, and once both of your lips touch, Jaehyun took the opportunity to hold you in place by wrapping his arms around your waist. What was supposed to be a simple peck turns into a sweet long kiss where both of you could not help but smile into it. “ewww!! eomma appa!! That is so gross!!” Yuno complains with both of his tiny hands on his eyes trying to block his view of his parents. You broke away from Jaehyun and could not help on pinching Yuno’s chubby cheecks looking at his cute actions. “eomma have to give a kiss to my cute prince Yuno as well, right??” knowing that you are going to smother his face with kisess, Yuno bolted out of bed heading straight to the bathroom to get ready for school. His messy curls bouncing everywhere while he runs. You and Jaehyun could not help but laugh at the sight of your cute son.

Jaehyun came down to the dining area with his son’s tiny hand in his, and you notice that his tie is hanging around his neck undone. “why is your tie undone love?” you make your way to him and naturally tie his tie for him. Jaehyun took this opportunity to hug your waist “I don’t know, I can’t seem to do them this morning. It’s like I suddenly does not know how to do it, thank god my wife is an expert” his face is flushed pink with dimples prominent as ever. You know that was just a lame excuse that Jaehyun make to have you do it for him. You slapped his chest and shake your head with his antics. You carried Yuno to his seat and further assist him with his breakfast. After breakfast, you strap your son’s bag on him and get ready to send him away to school with your assistant. “Yuno-yah, be good in school and listen well to your teachers, okay?” you said while crouching down to your child’s level so you can look into his brown dear like eyes. “eung eomma!” Yuno nods his head cutely and hugs your neck while giving your cheeks a peck. “eomma bye bye!” “bye bye my love”.

While you were getting Jaehyun’s briefcase for him, you reminded him about the new tutor for Yuno that will be moving in soon. “love, the new tutor recommended by your sister will be here today. If you happen to come across her around the house, be gentle and welcoming please” you tried to warn Jaehyun as he has known to be cold with the people that he is not familiar with. “and no more firing tutor without me knowing, do you know how hard it is to find a really good one these days?” you gave a wary eye to Jaehyun which he replied with caresses on your arms “I’ll try my best love, I have to go now. see you tonight, love you” he pecks your forehead and leave for work.

You receive a phone call shortly after that from your sister-in-law Jung Soojung and without any hesitation you pick it up. “Eonni wae? (hey sis, what’s going on)”, “I just want to inform you that Ms Kim Yeri, Yuno’s new tutor is arriving soon. I hope she is the perfect match as I really have to pull some strings to get her for you. Apparently, she graduated from Harvard Law School thus making it super hard to employ her.” Soojung clearly sounded distress on the other line. “ah geuraeyo (ah really) okay I’ll make sure to make her as comfortable as possible, thanks a lot for hiring her for us it really means a lot for Yuno’s future.” You tried your best to express your thankfulness to her so that she will feel assured that her hard work is much appreciated. “anything for my favorite boy, ahh and ask Jaehyun to tone down his temper this is the 3rd time in a month since he fired a tutor.” You sigh.. Jaehyun has a very short temper when it comes to anyone near his family, this man treasures his family more than his life. One wrong step and you are out of the door. “I’ll keep that in mind eonni, he must have his reasons to fire them. I’ll make sure it won’t happen again this time eonni.” You massage your temple, trying your best to really assured your sister-in-law that it will be different this time. “alright, if there’s any problem do not hesitate to call me up kay. I’ll see you around” with that she hangs up the phone on you. Soojung is a very poise, elegant and strict woman and she does not shy away on being hard on you from time to time. It was a struggle to settle with her attitude at first, but once you really got to known her you realize that she is very similar to Jaehyun. Cold on the outside but warm in the inside, explains much on why Jaehyun is super close with the second born of the Jung family. At-least she still treats you decently and warms up to you even if she shares the same hatred as her oldest sister on your background as an actress at first. They deemed you to be too tacky to be a Jung. 30 minutes after the phone call, a staff of the house informed you that the new tutor has arrived. “escort her to my study please” you said warmly to the staff.

While you were seated in your study, the grand door was opened and walks in a woman clad in a red dress coat from Burberry and a matching Kelly bag in hand, her legs are covered with a limited edition red bottoms. How come a professional tutor could effort such expensive items? You thought to yourself. “Annyeonghasaeyo samonim (hello madame), I’m Yuno’s new tutor Kim Yeri imnida” she greets you with a stone-cold expression. “Hello Ms Kim, and welcome to my humble home. Have a seat.” The new tutor took a sit opposite you and proceed to cross her legs. You grimace at the action as you thought of the consequences of having your legs crossed while seated with the seniors of the Jung’s family. The distaste was very much apparent on their faces when you crossed your legs on the very first meeting with the Jung’s. “I guess an actress is very comfortable for having no manners” said Jung Mija who is now known as your mother-in-law. You were clueless on why such comment were thrown at you, until the eldest daughter of the Jung family Jung Sooyeon threw a comment supporting her mother. “I told you eomma, she’s too tacky to be us” while dragging her eyes down to your crossed legs. That was the signal that makes you understand that it is forbidden to have your legs crossed when meeting the Jung’s. Apparently, the Jung’s family motto is to always be as poise and elegant as a Queen thus why it is forbidden for any Jung’s family members to seat with their legs crossed at any occasion.

“I hope chamomile is fine for you Ms Kim.” You said as you pick up your cup of tea. “yes, ma’am I very much appreciate it” Ms Kim took a sip of her tea. “So Ms Kim, I heard a lot of you from my sister-in-law. Apparently, you graduated from Harvard?” “Ah yes, law school to be exact. I went under a top student scholarship program” A staff member knocks on the door signaling that she is coming in to set a tray of biscuits for your guest to enjoy. “I see, you must be a very bright student to be chosen. It was my dream school you know, until I gave it up for my acting career” you continue to laugh light heartedly. “I hope with your credibility, my son could further his studies there too. I mean you’re an alumnus of course you are familiar with the qualities that they want right?” you look up from your cup of tea. “I’ll try my very best ma’am” said the tutor as she sips her cup of tea so elegantly. You noticed that she has a very pretty face, and the red lipstick on her lips really suits her that she could easily won any guy’s heart. “Anyways, my son Yuno is a very gentle kid, he listens to instructions well. So, I hope you can be gentle with him too. But if there are any problems, please contact me immediately.” You smiled gently as you recalled on how soft of a boy your son is. “oh! I am sure my sister-in-law had told you that you would be living with us. Even if I am a housewife, I still have a tight schedule. So, I hope you can cater to Yuno’s from time to time, my assistant will provide you with Yuno’s schedule to help you familiarize with Yuno’s activities”.

Ms Kim has a very unreadable expression that it could even come off as if she is not listening to anything you were saying at all, as she continues to sip her tea. “To begin with, Yuno will be arriving from school at 3 and he will have his snacks at this time. Please make sure that he takes his daily intakes of milk and make sure to warm it up to 70°C. Oh! and please don’t hit it up with the microwave.” You look up to Ms Kim, and notice that she is staring out the floor to ceiling window of your study looking at the Japanese garden. This bothers you a lot as you had hope for her to take some notes, as it really annoys you if someone miss out such important points. “Ms Kim are you not going to take some notes?” you said with a calm expression. Ms Kim turns to look at you and smirk, “that is not necessary, worry not as I have it at the back of my head.” She said smugly which kind of bothers you. “very well then, I hope you don’t forget this. It really bothers me if you do. My assistant will brief you further, but for now make sure that Yuno is refresh before his violin lesson.” As if it was a que, Ms Kim stood up and reach for her bag ready to be escorted out to her living quarters. “Ms Kim, I really love your bag. Some people need to be waitlisted to get it” you said while sipping your tea. Ms Kim who looks surprised quickly replied “it’s a counterfeit ma’am, they have it a lot at the market”. You give her a lopsided smile “I love the coat too; it suits you well” Ms Kim only gave you a half smile as a reply and she proceed to follow a staff to her living quarters”.

It bothers you with the fact that the new tutor comes off a bit cocky and lavish. You recalled when your sister-in-law gave you Ms Kim’s profile, it was never stated that she came from any rich household. In fact, she grew up in an orphanage. You started to become wary as you do not want your son to be near any suspicious people. You decided not to think too much of it and decided to try and trust Ms Kim. After all she is suggested by your trusted sister-in-law. She must have tutored a few other rich kids to be able to afford such lifestyle. At the end of the day, you are paying her a huge amount of money too for this job. Your thoughts are interrupted by a phone call from your eldest sister-in-law Jung Sooyeon, which you kind of having a love and hate relationship with. She makes it clear as a day that she despises you. Furthermore, the fact that your father in law favors you does not sit well with the eldest Jung either.

Finally!!! Finally I got to read Chapter 7!!

Oh the beginning was so painful because... it was so understandable. He does have a good opportunity in becoming the King of Spade. It is a good "deal" as well as a chance to find his roots, but it means having to leave Neva behind.

And quite honestly Ciel being focused on getting Yuno married is... a very mother -thing to do, as well as being oblivious to some things. Especially since Neva and Yuno are both very private people.

And Neva... she doesn't want to stop him from achieving his dream, even if it's through a bit different route than what they both initially thought. So, she loves him enough to see him go.

While he's also trying to respect her dreams and wishes. He doesn't want to take them away from her.

I think they're very human in this chapter. They're very understandable, while also, as they agreed, they're "excellent at communication" XD

But it's so important that they had that talk.

Especially because HE PROPOSED!!!! It was so spontaneous and sweet and genuine!!! He really does love her and she loves him.

She really made that, quite literal, leap of fate for him XD

Lauraaaa!!! I’m so sorry it’s taken me so long to answer this, things have just been crazy IRL so I’m only now able to answer 😭!

It really was painful, even as I was writing it I was like “Gosh I can just imagine the conflicting emotions Yuno’s feeling rn 😭!” because it’s a really good opportunity for him to learn things, but it also means he has to give up something too *cough* Neva *cough* 💔!

Yeah Ciel is very much…scatter brained in this 😅. She’s juggling so much with the Nobles pressuring her into choosing an heir and trying to keep them from being able to find any “flaws” with Yuno (which is partially why she is trying to find him a wife since, it’ll not only secure the Grinberryall line to the throne, but it’ll also keep the Nobles mouths shut for a little bit). And unfortunately due to being distracted by all of that she kind of missed the most obvious thing which is YuNeva being together already 😔😅.

So true 😭, Neva loving Yuno so much that she’s willing to let him go was just ahwkwjhe aaaahhh it broke my heart to write 🤧! Because they both thought they knew where they were going, but life threw them a curveball and they both had hard decisions to make 😔.

Wgjwjwh aaahhh thank you, I’m so glad you felt they were very human in this chapter that’s exactly what I was going for do I’m very happy it translated into this chapter 😁! They are very “excellent” at communication 😆, I see YuNeva as being that couple who know each other so well and yet they still have trouble communicating at times 😂!

Yoritomo: Come on out and lend me a hand — demon fox.

A roaring fire with blue flames emerged and engulfed Kazuha and Futaba.

When it disappeared without a sound, what was left behind were two charred hitogata lying on the floor.

Tamamo: Even an arrogant man like you would beg me, Yoritomo.

Yuno: Tamamo…!

Tamamo appeared and waved his hand nimbly.

Tamamo: I missed you so much that I came to personally pick you up, Yuno.

Yasuchika: — You’re here too, Tamamo.

Yasuchika: You’re as good at disguise as ever. I didn't even notice your presence.

Tamamo: I don't feel flattered by your compliment at all…

Tamamo: And I hate that you’re in my way.

With a snap of Tamamo’s fingers, a fog appeared and created some kind of smokescreen between us and Yasuchika.

Tamamo: You two can leave first, Yuno and Yoritomo.

Tamamo: I know what sort of tricks this man has up his sleeves, so I can at least hold him up.

Yoritomo: Understood. Tamamo, you return once you’re done here.

Tamamo: Of course. I’m looking forward to tonight’s dinner.

Yuno: Thank you… Tamamo.

Yoritomo led me by the hand and we ran through the hallways.

Yoritomo: Get on.

Yuno: Okay!

Waiting for us at the back of the mansion was not an oxcart, but a horse.

It was obvious that Yoritomo was prepared for the worst case scenario.

Riding on Yoritomo’s horse in front of him, I looked back and watched as the mansion eventually went out of sight.

Yuno: What’s… going to happen now?

Yoritomo: I have secretly gathered troops in neighboring countries just in case.

Yoritomo: But I had to keep it low to avoid being noticed.

Yoritomo: Now we’re going to meet the troops and wait for Tamamo’s return.

Yuno: Oh…

I took a deep breath to get rid of my anxiety and sadness.

(Everyone has started making their moves. The least I can do is to give my best.)

(I won’t regret this.)

Yuno: I’ll prepare some medicine and bandages for the war once we arrive at camp.

Yoritomo: You… you’ve grown a lot tougher.

Yuno: Hm?

Yoritomo: When we confirmed that Yasuchika was an enemy, I was honestly prepared to no longer have any use for you.

Yoritomo: And yet, earlier on… you decided to fight Yasuchika despite feeling at your worst.

Yoritomo: Even now, I can tell that you’re holding back your tears by sheer willpower.

(... I really can't hide anything from Yoritomo.)

Yuno: I may not always choose the “correct” path.

Yuno: I’ve made tons of bad decisions that resulted in myself getting hurt… but nevertheless, I want to be proud of myself for making those decisions and getting to where I am today.

(Even if all those words of affirmation Yasuchika said to me were lies.)

Yoritomo: — I see.

Yoritomo: You became a better woman while we were apart.

Yoritomo: How ironic. Living in Kyoto really sparked a change in you.

Yuno: … Is that so?

Yuno: Then I’m glad I didn't suffer for nothing.

Yoritomo: Indeed, and I can assure you on that.

Yoritomo: You should be proud of yourself, Yuno.

Yuno: Thank… Thank you.

There was a large gaping hole in my heart.

I kept moving forward, knowing that there was a chance that hole would never be filled again.

I believed that as long as I had my friends who trusted me… that unrequited love would burn into ashes.

We were greeted at the Shogunate’s camp…

Morinaga: Yuno! Lord Yoritomo!

(Morinaga!)

Yoritomo: You’ve worked hard.

Seeing Morinaga’s tall figure rush towards us made my heart feel warm.

Morinaga: I was so worried. I’m glad you’re both safe and sound.

Morinaga: Long time no see, Yuno.

Yuno: Yeah, long time no see… Morinaga.

Morinaga: I heard that you did an amazing job.

Yuno: Not really… I couldn't contribute much despite living with Yasuchika to investigate him.

Yoritomo: It's not easy to decipher all of Kyoto’s moves. Every piece of information you gave us was vital.

Yoritomo: With your tiny bits of information, Kagetoki can piece them together to create a bigger clue. You did your best, and that's enough.

Morinaga: Lord Yoritomo is right. Even Kagetoki was praising your efforts, and he rarely does that.

(I wish I could've done more.)

Yuno: Have Shigehira and Kagetoki been well?

Morinaga: Of course.

Morinaga: Actually, Shigehira has been worried about you this entire time. But if I call him out for it, he’s quick to deny it.

Tamamo: And of course I was worried about Yuno too.

(Oh!)

Tamamo: I’m back.

His long hair fluttering in the wind, Tamamo arrived on horseback.

Yoritomo: Did it go well?

Tamamo: Of course it did. Who do you think I am?

Yuno: Tamamo… I’m so glad you’re safe.

I heaved a sigh of relief.

Yoritomo: Shigehira and Kagetoki are keeping their eyes on the Rebel Army’s movements. They will deploy reinforcements if necessary.

Yoritomo: Morinaga, what's the current situation?

Morinaga: Our troops have been deployed to form an ambush around the anti-Shogunate faction.

Morinaga: However, our key figure, “His Majesty”, managed to escape.

(They must be referring to Akihito. But why “His Majesty”...?)

Morinaga: This is confidential information, but—

Morinaga: Our soldiers reported back saying that when “His Majesty” commanded them to stop moving, their bodies instantly felt heavy as if they had frozen.

Morinaga: Also… there was a blonde man who was alongside “His Majesty”, and he possessed supernatural powers.

Yuno: … Ibuki.

(I remember he told me to think of him as a sorcerer from a foreign country for simplicity’s sake.)

Tamamo: I know that man.

Yuno: What?

Tamamo: Shuten Doji — the 1200 year old Demon King.

Yuno: Demon!?

Tamamo: While I was at Yasuchika’s mansion, I found traces of a familiar magic power.

Yoritomo: A demon living in the Abe Clan’s mansion? That’s wild.

(No wonder I didn't suspect anything.)

Yuno: I can’t believe Ibuki’s an ayakashi.

Yoritomo: Yasuchika’s other housemate is a rather big guy too.

Yoritomo: Sutoku – Akihito. The former emperor.

Yoritomo: However, he’s supposed to be dead.

(What the…)

(— He’s a living spirit.)

Yuno: I heard that Lord Akihito was sealed in the Abe Clan’s mansion, which led to him becoming a living spirit.

I hesitantly told them the stories about his past that I had heard from Yasuchika and Ibuki.

(I don’t like talking out of turn… but I can’t keep silent any longer.)

Yoritomo: There are rumors that Emperor Sutoku died while spreading a curse all over Japan.

Yuno: Are you saying that I’m Yasuchika’s weakness? If yes, then you're wrong.

(Yasuchika even attacked me today.)

Doman: Oh really? But too bad.
