Maybe it's nice to have someone bring you tea you like

So, I'm staying at my close friend's house over the summer. This is the friend I adopted Meatloaf with. And he has two other cats. The one of note for this is named Goobart.

Now, there's something kind of wrong with Goobart. She's had some kind of neurological issues her whole life and she's undersized/underdeveloped for her age. She's 3, but still looks like a 6mo kitten. And she's kind of not very smart at all.

Meatloaf and Goobart have a strained relationship. He loves her and wants to play with her, but she's terrified of him and thinks he's trying to kill her.He jumps on her, chases her, walks up to her and gently tries to bite her neck.

And me and my friend were trying to figure out why. Why are you trying to bite her, Meatloaf? Why do you jump on her? We had two theories... either 1- Meatloaf was neutered too late in life and had residual mating instincts (and given the other cat in the house, Mudsnake, is a lethal antisocial predator, it makes sense to default to Goobart), or 2- Meatloaf thinks Goobart is a kitten and is trying to take care of her.

We got our answer today.

While my friend was on the phone, Goobart was sleeping in a box by the window and Meatloaf walked up to her, bit her by the scruff, and tried to drag her out of the box. She was too sleepy to complain, but too heavy for him to drag very well, so he gave up.

I never heard my friend laugh the way he did. I wish I could've seen it myself.

I can't believe Meatloaf is such a determined single father.

i got a new kitten and when i play my ps4 she likes to sit on my lap which is great but the problem is, my other cat likes to sit on my lap when i play ps4 ): i love you baby goobart but ps4 is Mudsnake Time
