Nimona headcanons plus little bonus part 2 electric boogaloo
After Nimona found out about Ambrosius' allergies they demanded to test every single meal he eats
They’ll take the plate away from him and have a test bite and only after they deem it “safe” will they let him eat it
Doesn’t matter if they're out eating or at home she does this every time
He can literally say “Nim Bal made this for me it’s not gonna have anything I’m allergic to” and she’ll respond with “You don’t know that he could finally be sick of you and the only thing saving you is me”
Ambrosius and Bal will share literally everything they eat
Whenever they go out they’ll usually order something they know they’ll both like
And if they know the other one is between two options they’ll just order one of the options and share both meals
It’s a pretty normal thing that they’ve been doing since they were kids so they don’t even question it anymore
Nimona jokingly calls it sickening as she steals food off their plates
No one in the trio is neurotypical
Bal is autistic Ambrosius has ADHD Nimona is a mix of both
Talking to these dorks is absolute hell
It’s kind of like the interrogation scene except it’s not one topic
They often get sidetracked and lose the plot of the conversation
They’ll have 10 different conversations at once and only finish like 5
Bal forgets a whole bunch of shit because he has long-term brain damage and Nimona and Ambrosius forget shit cause of the ADHD
It’s not uncommon for someone to say “Hey remind me to” and then they’ll be cut off by the other person who just says “You know I won’t remember that just put a reminder in your phone”
Their house is covered to the brim in sticky notes and random pieces of paper for reminders
The grocery list is on the front door the chore list is in the kitchen and random little tasks are scattered around the house
When Nimona doesn’t want to do something he’ll just erase his name from that task
He fooled the boys for a while but Bal started keeping score of who did what and when and called his sneaky ass out
Little bonus part 2 electric boogaloo: this time it’s my sister and my mama and my sister also was acting like I was killing her firstborn not asking her to watch a movie
Me: “look mama it’s the siblings” my sister: “but they’re gay” me: “yeah but people thought they were siblings” my sister: “if you ever look at me like that I’m calling the cops” (the scene on the catwalk)
“Yeah you better cheer” (when Bal was getting knighted)
“I knew something was wrong with the sword” “So did Bal” “Yeah but I knew first”
Apparently both my Mama and my sister didn’t know that Ambrosius cut off Bal’s arm so I got to see both of their reactions
This was my Mama’s “damn what happened to being a lover not a fighter” “he’s a knight Mama” “Who cares!!”
This was my sister's “Wow really took the whole arm huh?” “That’s how they were trained” “And?”
My mama was talking to my sister when Nimona met Bal “Who does that remind you of?” “Roo” “Exactly”
“Oh look it’s tiny dick!” (Talking about Todd)
“What a fucking bitch” (when she found out the director swapped the sword)
This was when Bal and Ambrosius were fighting Me: “Is there anything gayer than having an argument in the middle of a sword fight” My mama: “They’ll fight with their other swords later”
“Who fucking asked” “bla bla bla I’m a racist bitch” (when the Director went on her monologue in the office)
She saw Ambrosius’ username and laughed for like two minutes straight
After the sword fight my sister would pretend like Bal and Ambrosius were making out every time they were on screen together
“Because I love you *making out noises*” at the tavern
“Oh there’s their third wheel (Todd)” “Nah he’s racist as fuck” “Who isn’t in the institute?”
When Ambrosius tried to stop the director she said this is what he meant “No you can’t set off the laser that’s my kid!” (She believes the trio is a family too)
“Awe they’re hugging *more making out noises*”
She called it cute in the end and I made fun of her for bitching about it
I asked my sister who her favorite is and she says “what’s his name balls?” I started cackling my ass off and she goes “I’m joking I know his name is Ballister and he’s still my favorite”

A shortcut!#Now imagine for a sec trying to get through a parkcore + miros bird gauntlet with a corpse and a worm within 5 cycles#before the scav ran out of karma and you were stuck inside forever. Yeah#Besides that tho I've been messing around and been very tenderly modding the game.#Turns out you can have a bit of fun with most sprites without too much effort by simply cloning the MSC mod in your files#Then changing the copy's mod info so it doesn't clash and simply swapping images out for whatever you want#As long as you have the sprite name you can do this. You can also change region names and decals and music all sorts of stuff.#In short I've been brewing a custom mod for a friend to make her suffer as much as possible <3#Thanks to a buddy on the rw server for showing me that trick btw lol. The best cesspool I've ever participated in#Oh before I forget- the symbol on CW's head is completely made up. They just looked so... Bald.#Tbh I wasn't expecting their personality to be so... bright? Most interpretations make them kinda solemn and gloomy#But nah this CW is what NSH should've been 100%. I like them. Valtor specifically tells the Trix to back off because HE wants to be the one to fight bloom#2) the episode before that he asks questions about her (and only her; even though he has more powerful enemies to worry about)#demonstrating curiosity about and interest in her#3) that same episode (or the one before; can’t remember) is their infamous first meeting#where time LITERALLY slows down as the pass each other on the stairs#they get IMPACT FRAMES#the whole color palette changes!!!#idk about u but I eat that shit up. love the drama of it all no one does it like them#I’m gonna skip all the instances where Valtor is spying on Bloom through his little scrying spell because oh god who has the time#let’s go straight to Bloom#if I had a week I would not be able to collect all the moments where she growls his name in pure fury and single-minded determination#she gets a little bit obsessed with him over the course of the season and I personally think that’s very sexy of her#Bloom is known for her tunnel vision when it comes to her past and origins and Valtor's existence fits PERFECTLY into that#it ties in neatly with her overarching story of the past 2 seasons#literally PERFECT foils#which always makes for the juiciest stories#4) she singles him out for a duel in the museum episode#5) she can literally feel his presence#6) the mere mention of his name sends her into her weird faux enchantix#of course there’s no romance in canon but there’s TENSION AND CHEMISTRY which is all u really need for a ship#all their animosity and bad blood is what makes it so INTERESTING to wonder how they COULD work. it’s the spice that makes for good fanfic!

looking @ old fic i started when i was 14/15 is so funny bc im realizing once again why i never mark fics as abandoned even if its been literal years since i've touched them. specifically i was checking docs for stuff i started and either did or didn't post to ffn.
and its like. nothing is bad??? like i can see where my outside-the-box ideal of fic writing comes from. not just fics but writing in general, i'm p sure. even if it's a total cliche plot setup, there are details on each that rly make it stand out like oh yeahhhhhh i did have this great idea once upon a time.
funny too bc was it executed well in prose??? no absolutely not i wrote like shit when i was 15. would i revive an idea one day and revise it to be less cliche or cringy while still keeping the stand-out elements??? yea maybe. i might. everything i'm currently working on that i started from 2021 up to now still holds my supreme interest, but like i'm not gonna say never.
esp since i write fic first and foremost for my own need and specifically what i like to read, it makes it impossible to consider an idea i've thought extensively about "not worth writing anymore". anyway not making this too long i jus found everything interesting to consider

i haven't rewatched other girls in a while bc it was made during a rough time for my mental health which makes it difficult to revisit without having that be an unignorable part of it for me but i'm currently editing the video essay i'm doing for my final in one of my college courses and i'm using a montage of clips from other girls in it and rn i'm just sitting here like damn i really did that!!! like yeah i was going through the most major manic-depressive episode of my life and not coping with it well at all, but also like damn between the ages of 16 and 20 i wrote and composed a two hour musical comedy with a dozen original songs (despite never having written music before), directed a production of it at the beginning of my sophomore year of college and put it out into the world as something people can watch. that's a huge accomplishment, and the fact that i was able to do that while getting through my own mental health struggle is actually super impressive
i really hope i get to a point where i can revisit other girls as its own piece of art without dwelling on my own mental health struggles behind the scenes (especially bc i'm in such a better place rn and i probably wouldn't have grown as much as i have without those struggles) but i'm so proud of my past self for being able to put it all together. and even if it didn't reach hundreds of thousands of views, it was able to reach some people who really connected with it

#also there are many things i would change with the plot and structure and production if i were to do it again#i don't have any plans to stage the musical again BUT i may revisit the story in another medium#also the aubrey in other girls is NOT the same aubrey from my character monologues even tho they share a name/pronouns/aesthetic#(irl my aubrey sketch character evolved from the musical character bc i wanted to do an aubrey project after other girls was done#but then i realized i didn't want to have to share the same continuity and the two characters became very different)#in-universe tho i've actually found a way to retcon this which i find very funny#basically the ''real'' aubrey (the sketch character i play) is actually cousins with the ''aubrey'' from other girls#who is 5 years younger than the real aubrey and transfemme#and basically after aubrey's cousin came out and decided to choose a new name she named herself aubrey aubergine#and the real aubrey is just like ''ok i'm proud of you but also literally pick any other name that one's mine''#so aubrey's cousin (and the ''aubrey'' from other girls) eventually changed her name to zendra#so if i end up revisiting the story of other girls again the character is gonna be called zendra i just can't change the youtube production#i do have an aubrey monologue all about aubrey's cousin who stole zir name lmao i find this retcon very funny#Youtube
