For those wondering about the sudden Godzilla interest (nobody? too bad), I’m preparing to read a fanfic called The Bridge. It’s a My Little Pony X Godzilla fic, and as soon as I realized how much stuff was involved in it, I realized I just couldn’t be normal.
I decided I’d consume the relevant media as it appeared in the fic, figuring it would start small and slowly build up. As it turns out, this is not the case. The first chapter is an all out Kaiju war, with multiple supplementary materials to explain who everyone is and why they’re here, but that obviously wasn’t enough for me- I need to understand. So let’s do some math.
Godzilla is famously the longest running franchise ever made, going strong since the 50s, but because this fic is set in the Millennium era, I can shave a few off. To fully understand every kaiju from their introduction all the way to Final Wars and complete the Millennium era, I need to watch 28 Godzilla films.
That’s not bad. Unfortunately, as I quickly found out, Gamera is involved too, a rival kaiju franchise I didn’t even know existed. Thankfully, the two eras are short, so lets add on 12 gamera films.
Then I checked the comments, and found out a little extra character named Yongaray cameos in this first chapter. Upon googling, I discovered them to thankfully not have a franchise attached to them, being the star of only one movie and a few reboots, so lets only add the first, since its a Toho film.
THEN I found out about Gomora, another Kaiju cameo hailing from Ultraman. Ultraman is not only one of the longest running Japanese franchises, it also spun off from another series, Ultra Q- the former having 28 episodes, and the latter introducing Gomora at 26 episodes in.
And that’s just before I can read chapter 1. Following that, I’ll have to watch even more one-off monster films as well as the four-part Carnosaur series and the rest of Sailor Moon after I fell off watching it a while back.
So yeah, I’m gonna be into Kaiju for a bit. Its actually more worrisome if i STOP being into Kaiju.

I'm curious, I've been following you a minute now and what is Iyami from? and what is it about him that makes you so lustful?
Iyami is a character from the 60s gag manga Osomatsu-kun and its animated adaptations, including the most recent one, Osomatsu-san!
Despite being virtually unknown in the west, Osomatsu-kun is very, very well-known and beloved in Japan (think something like Scooby-Doo or Wacky Races) and a big part of it is due to Iyami! It was aimed at kids and teens and it was about the wacky hijinks of the Matsuno brothers, a group of identical sextuplet fourth graders. Iyami was a supporting character and minor antagonist, a sly con man who’s always trying to make a quick buck out of the Matsunos with the help of his street urchin friend Chibita.
However, Iyami ended up being the most well-known character of the franchise, rising to main character status due to his trademark habit of striking a funny pose when he’s startled, the “sheeh” which became somewhat of a meme in 60s Japan! It was so famous they got the Beatles to do it when they visited Japan and Godzilla did it in a movie.
Osomatsu-san is much more well known to western audiences, being an spin-off more geared towards a young adult audience and set 10-odd years into the future with the sextuplets each having their own distinct personalities. It’s also pretty well liked on its own in Japan, having first aired in 2015 and having its third season wrap up in 2021, although the third movie of the series just aired a few months ago and future seasons not being off the table! In it, Iyami is again in a supporting role but he’s still pretty great (at least to me!) and has been my favorite ever since I’ve first watched the show in 2016.
As to why he makes me go full unga bunga caveman, I guess he just embodies a lot of characteristics I like! I love goofy characters, I love cartoony villains, I think wonky teeth is a super cute trait… he’s just the perfect silly guy to me!

I'm buzzing with enjoyment from Godzilla x Kong. I totally get why some wouldn't like this movie, and you can forget this one even crossing the Oscar radar for anything, but it was a ton of fun and made me laugh and smile way more than most of the Monsterverse.
2014 is still the best of the series, no doubt. But Godzilla vs Kong and GxK would make for a fantastic summertime double feature over pizza and beer/Coke.
Also, while I know the "This is like a Showa movie" thing is sort of a meme, it's way more true than I thought, and the "Well, let's just do whatever we want and tie it to what happened before with string... or not at all" attitude reminds me of that era in a funny way.

For the ask game, 🔪, ❄️ and 🦴 :3
ask game
❄️ ⇢ what's your dream theme/plot for a fic, and who would write it best?
ohh ok this is hard. A dream theme would probably be a good mystery I can't start piecing together or a horror novel that scares me. For mystery I oddly enough think Brandon Sanderson would be good. I've been unable to predict things moving forward in the Stormlight Archives.
But honestly I think it would be written best by someone who hasn't even tried before. There's a way of placing clues in a mystery I feel a lot of people follow. Most of the time those clues placed by someone new wouldn't have the same easy to tell hints and tips.
For horror I kind of am expecting Lydia Prime to do it. She's a newer author on the horror scene (actually have a book she just managed to publish I plan to pick up). I also some comedians would be good at it. Comedy is kind of the other side, takes a lot to do it.
I don't know who would be best for this outside of like a pro author. I'm pretty hard to scare, make a habit of marathoning horror games and horror movies just because. That does mean I get psyched to read any horror sent my way that might be good!
For a dream plot it's kinda hard to say. I know how my brain works, but honestly even if i'm not super into it I just like seeing people posting/sharing the stuff they put their time into. It's so scary to take that first step so it's really amazing when someone does and they keep going.
🦴 ⇢ is there a piece of media that inspires your writing?
Ok so this one is kind of a lot. For some of my stories it's probably some myth, post, or my own daydream mixed from anime/games/books throughout the years.
Specific media would be MTG Streets of New Capenna set (Mafia AU), Fenyx Rising (Delphia rising), FF14 (some fanfics and an au i am working on), Oddly enough a story I have on and off struggled with was inspired by a yugioh series, Godzilla vs Kong (the fight for Rhys and Felix in mafia au). My gods might have been inspired by the old hercules disney movie.
Oh Delphia is a bit inspired by an Kagome in Inuyasha (got me looking into reincarnation). oh and a book series I read forever and ever ago. The Eternal Ones by Kirsten Miller. (I went to my bookshelf to find this title.)
I also do love mythology and folklore so I'm sure that's a big inspiration even if it's not obvious. (obsessed with fairies since I was like born. My sister can't even remember a time i wasn't).
Basically it's everything? I have a few characters I've realized over time fit a meme a little or i put together match someone i loved from a game.
Oh last one I can think of. Alice in Wonderland. I loved that from the disney movie, to the books, to the manga based in it, to the new tim burton movies. Pretty much the only time I haven't liked it was in RWBY 😅
🔪 ⇢ what's the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project? I feel weird leaving this one out in the open, but like also it's not exactly nsfw. just a little insight into my weird thought process at times
ok so originally it was gonna be the general size of a dick/vagina of the average person to then do the ratio for how big it should be for a giant/how small for a tiny. In searching for this math (cause ofc i only shared it on discord) I realized i had an entire discussion that involved at least a little research where i determined it's incredibly viable that if giants and tinies are under the same homo species it would possible to successfully get pregnant in a multisize couple with the question being the survival rate of the child/birth parent dependent on a number of factors....
I used the dick knowledge in one (1) specific story i wrote on ao3. The pregnancy knowledge was lost until now.
Most likely to get me arrested was how much a person could move after a stab wound
for those curious this was the percentages i came up with are under the cut
balls: 2.7% of total height per ball
dick: 6.9% of total height
pussy opening: 4.8% of total height
pussy depth: 6.3% of total height

Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero - Quick Review
So, I couldn't quite wait. I've heard good things from it so I had to see it for myself
Super Hero is Dragon Ball Super's second movie and yet another push in a different animation style, so I'm gonna go through what I thought was good and what was bad.
Spoilers for the Movie
So I liked the movie, I have to preface that because the negatives may seem to be longer than the positives, so to clarify, some of them are small gripes in the greater scheme of things.
Let's start with the negatives though
What I didn't like
So let's get it out the way; Final Gohan and Orange Piccolo. In concept it was great, but the designs were overkill. Piccolo with the SSJ3 brow that still doesn't work and Gohan with the oversized and overjagged hair. Orange Piccolo as a name is uninspired too, and I don't think Final Gohan actually needed a form change
I also don't approve of the method, Orange Piccolo is only possible thanks to Shenron adding 'a little bonus' to unleashing his potential, and Gohan goes Final Gohan having seen Piccolo almost die...compared to all the previous times Gohan has seen Piccolo almost die and Goku actually die, so it's a tad weak.
I know 'power scaling' is a bane of many an anime and especially Dragon Ball, but it does feel weird that 1 billion zeni is enough to create an android that's a physical match for Mystic Gohan. And that Shenron is capable of power boosting Piccolo to be above that level - since Orange Piccolo bitch slapped Gamma 2 while Gohan struggled against Gamma 1. It does render Supreme Kai's potential unleashed weak compared to simply wishing for more power, and by that matter renders training quite redundant.
Also why hasn't Dende upgraded Shenron to be the most powerful it can be? Surely we would need such upgrades for dire situations?
I don't understand why we wrote Beerus to have a crush on Cheelai, it feels weird, especially since she's only playing along to keep his hospitality
If you didn't know that Oreos were sponsoring the movie by god do you get it told, lots of Oreo overkill in this
Unfortunately 90% of the film does feel rather stakeless, just Red Ribbon Army back to their bullshit and Piccolo and Pan basically pranking Gohan into being more committed to acknowledging threats without leaning back on Goku and Vegeta - who are always off-world anyway.
Sadly this also means Krillin, 18, Goten and Trunks' inclusion is weak, they're just there for padding numbers and comedy. Krillin being gutless to start and all of the Gotenks stuff didn't land with me. Feel like we could've replaced Gotenks at least with Videl, who is blissfully unaware that Piccolo had staged her daughter being kidnapped. Also Tien could've filled Krillin's role to complete the set of non-Goku fighters who fought Cell before, I mean Krillin uses the Solar Flare so they could've swapped them out, even a mention outside the Cell saga montage would've sufficed
I don't know how to feel about Hedo, he's a lot older than he looks for one and though he seems fun and sympathetic he's also naive and murderous. It's not surprising that DB characters forgive murderers of course but he didn't seem like he repented that activity. His conclusion was weird too, if cosmetics were his calling it would've made more sense but it seemed more like a way to write him out even though he could be a valuable resource. Also how did he not know that Red Ribbon were evil when making Cell, he would've been old enough to remember Cell threatening to blow up the world.
And...Cell Max. That was an awful kaiju surprise villain, utilising the worst of the Cell designs and mixing it with Shin Godzilla. It was heavily meh and could've been done better.
Overall this did feel like a 'meme movie', leaning more onto pop culture perceptions (most of which guided by the Abridged Series) such as Piccolo being the responsible parent, Goku being the absolute moron, Krillin being the joke fighter, and even giving Vegeta a 'win' over Goku in the post credits scene, it might be considered fanservice but it does play more to the jokes than the canon.
It didn't quite help either that this followed a similar structure to the Broly movie but without the fleshing of the new character. We introduced the misguided villain, who is approached by actual villains to target the heroes, Bulma wants the Dragon Balls for something trivial and superficial, we swap around some fights until we reach the rage monster, Piccolo helps guide the fighters to a new form, new form wins, slightly villainous characters become allies. Nothing wrong with a formula, but you have to make it less glaring.
What I did like
The new art style was hit and miss at times, especially for the out of focus characters, but overall it was quite successful. You don't really get hit with the uncanny valley and for a first try it was pretty good. I'd probably still prefer the old Broly style but this was still good.
It was very refreshing that the movie was more of a Piccolo and Gohan movie than a Goku and Vegeta movie. Because it does make the world feel more lived in. Granted we could've used a bit more fleshing out of the other characters to validate their appearance but it was a nice change of pace, we could do more of these for the other Z Fighters.
Though a little unnecessary, I did like that we don't just forget about the Broly stuff, he's learning to control his power and from it Goku's getting stronger and Vegeta's learning to be more efficient with his power, this is positive signs too for Super's next season if they intend to use Broly more.
Like Broly last movie, Toriyama has put in the work to fix Pan as a character. The girl who was annoying and hated in GT is charming and adorable in Super Hero, so yeah all the Pan stuff was surprisingly great.
The Gammas were also pretty enjoyable, fun misguided villains who make the U-Turn when answering to reason. Gamma 2's sacrifice was earned for being the more exposed Gamma, but they still have room to use Gamma 1 more, even if it's on the smaller scale of helping Earth-scale threats with Mr Satan or teaming up with the Great Saiyaman.
I can see people finding Bulma making extremely minor wishes (most of which to make her look younger) on the Dragon Balls - as a means to prevent Resurrection F again - as a negative, but I'm holding onto a small bit of hope that it may lead to something. Perhaps another Super movie this time trying to fix GT's brighter spot of the Shadow Dragons. One hopes at least...
And there we have it, it was an enjoyable movie full of some fanservice stuff. It has its flaws and the main villain's rather weak, but that's not too different to a lot of Dragon Ball films. The less you dissect it the more you'll probably enjoy it.

Hello! Hope you are having a fine day!
I have a question, who's your favorite artist? Sorry if it's kinda like a sudden question, is that i am genuinely curious about what artists inspire you, because your art is so lovely and awesome!
I've been having a great day, thanks! I'm glad that you think my art is lovely and awesome, even though I don't think it stands out too much compared to a lot of other lovely people on this site.
As for my favorite artist, that's a hard question. I have a lot of artists I like, even if we boil it down to just Tumblr or Twitter users, but I feel the most influential artists on my style that I can say are probably my favorite are two artists primarily known for SD Gundam works named Susumu Imaishi and Kouji Yokoi.
(More under the cut since this might be a bit long)
Susumu Imaishi does a lot of the little comics in SD Gundam and his Legend BB art was what primarily inspired me. Especially with his varied expressions in these comics.
Another major artist is Kouji Yokoi, who does a lot of Gundam-related art. He's also one of the main people working on the SD Gundam franchise and is the original creator. He's also done stuff for other mecha series, Godzilla, Kamen Rider, and Ultraman, but I mostly associate him with SD Gundam.
I'm not really going to post his other works, but I do want to mention that the mangaka Tamori Wataru's manga for the SD Gundam carddas booklets has also been an influence on me due to all the expressions he uses for the characters.
Side note, I'd also like to shoutout Knight Gundam Story manga artist Hoshino Ryuichi since he has had a bit of influence on my art style.
EDIT: JA;WEJIAW;EOIJ I FORGOT TO MENTION TITE KUBO!! I LOVE HIS ARTTTT AND CHARACTER DESIGNS
I'm also just gonna drop a few specific artists on Twitter I love who might have influenced me because of how much I like their work.
中西達郎 (Tatsuro Nakanishi) - Love a lot of their art. Also a published mangaka. Jumpscares me whenever they bookmark one of my pieces on Pixiv because they follow me there.
Crafty_121 - An absolute sweetheart, I love how soft her style is.
三輪士郎/Shirow Miwa - Does a lot of stuff for mobages and FGO, but you can tell they love it. They even did an SD Gundam piece that lives rent-free in my head.
八八二三 - I LIVE for their Gundam gijinkas they are SOOOO good.
氷水 (aka IceWater) - Partially biased since I was a contributor to two of their SD Gundam fanbooks, but I love their watercolor drawings a ton. Also, they once did a short animation TRADITIONALLY and I highly respect them for it.
あまきな (aka haguma_karasu)- Ok, so on my server, we have a sort of in-joke where someone yells "WAKE UP BABE NEW HAGUMA KARASU PIECE DROPPED!" whenever they post a new piece and it's like a massive event on the server. And that's for a good reason, their art goes H A R D.
麦茶 (aka yuuno0) - A sort of mini celebrity on my personal server due to being the first major SD Gundam artist to do FGO and SD Gundam crossover art. I've commed them before. :3
coconutsan1 - They don't post much anymore, but when they do, it's great. Also one of the few artists that does Saddrac Knight Saga fan art, which is like a rarity even in the JP SD Gundam fandom.
tabolow01 - There's something strangely wholesome to them, probably one of the most influential fan artists on my own style. I love their detailed SD Gundam guides and how they redraw memes taking them completely seriously.
Moyashi - I love their art because of how haunting it feels, even when it's a more optimistic piece.

I've never been sure I would have the patience to do every Toho monster and every movie in my style as many kaiju artists have done, but I was thinking about how versatile these monsters can be and I had a thought to explore just how wildly they can vary in their design, what stays familiar and what can be changed while leaving the characters recognizable. For now this will be a four-part series and with any luck someone out there enjoys some of it, with a lot of luck maybe someone will be kind enough to offer some tips that improve my knowledge of character design to help convey what I'm going for.
“Hero-verse” - Imagined as a cartoon series where the monsters are rendered as main characters, though there would be a somewhat flexible human cast to provide some explanations for things, some extra tension in the form of theoretically far more vulnerable characters, and the odd assist with science.
Godzilla has been imagined as a heroic figure before and even as a cartoon star, so his design carries over elements of those incarnations. His head is meant to look like it would fit right in along the Showa designs and his build reflects that too, though there is some shorter feet and gills to invoke the recent Monsterverse. He's meant to look like he has significant weight to him, like Monsterverse and the Hanna Barbera cartoon. The old cartoon also contributes his dorsal spine color, though the rest of his colors are from the sequel series of Tristar Godzilla which contributes the rest of his coloration and gives him longer hands and fingers so this can be a Godzilla that manipulates his environment with higher than average dexterity. (The obvious meme-thing would have been to give him Zilla's chin because of heroic chins and all, but that's why I avoided it personally.)
While at his core a good guy who will reliably help save the day when there's need, Godzilla is grumpy and needs a lot of quiet personal time to interact well with others. A common comedic skit is Godzilla simply trying to find somewhere to nap only to face endless interruption. The early episodes stand out for emphasizing his grumpiness far more than the rest of the series, which has almost disappeared as a strong character trait at the time of cancellation. Characterization had shifted to emphasize Godzilla's cocky side a little more and made his struggles with asking other kaiju for help as a source of conflict, but the character remains recognizable and was not completely 'Flanderized' during the show's run time.
“Horror-verse” - a death world of body horror and unpleasant ends, this universe is using the Godzilla kaiju to make the worst place to live I'm willing to imagine. So, lots of people out there can imagine worse I'm sure but I'm giving it a shot.
While this Godzilla has the eyes of GMK Godzilla and some traces of Shin Godzilla in his design, for the most part he's just an 'Atomic Zombie Dinosaur' in appearance, Godzilla in this universe is constantly torn apart by his own atomic power and yet endlessly sustained by it, his body in a constant cycle of destruction and repair at blistering speed. Even his spines overgrow until they snarl and break off only to be replaces. It would seem Godzilla can't be killed for something like the stock undead reason, for even the most extreme of injuries are patched up by nuclear powered healing. Ruptures in his flesh split open at random and blast doses of radiation that are quickly lethal. Everywhere Godzilla goes, death follows even if all he did was pass through. Even the monsters that can fight on Godzilla's level or above are usually worn down as he recovers from all damage done.
Military interventions against Godzilla struggle to break his skin and even then the reward is usually just horribly irradiated territory that needs to become a quarantine zone. Eventually strikes more or less ended in favor of redesigning cities to allow for rapid evacuations, close monitoring, and the occasional less violent redirection – sonic signals Godzilla often responds to. How willful Godzilla is being when he ignores sonic signals that had worked before is a matter of debate, but sometimes it's a matter of facing a stronger instinct or Godzilla just declaring that humans “aren't the boss of him.”
Violent and vengeful against humanity for his creation, the threat must be dire indeed for Godzilla to become the lesser of two evils and yet it happens at times.

I, M, P, R, S, U, and W for the Fanfic Ask Meme?
I - Do you have a guilty pleasure in fic (reading or writing)?
I feel no guilty pleasure, simply pleasure- haha, but in all seriousness, its tentacle smut. I'm not particularly guilty about it, but its tentacles.
M- Got any premises on the back burner that you’d care to share?
Ooohh, I do! I'm planning up a Francisco x Puss fic, where the events of TAOPiB are slotted after Santa Coloma but before the Shreks (and the Three Diablos). Fran is gonna be Puss' bi awakening, and they are just sickenly cute. I'm not the hugest fan of the show- used to love it, but I'm not a TV person, really, so I'm only going to be picking through the series and watching the relevant episodes, as well as reading the transcripts. They'll part ways when the series ends (no time travel, I should note, never liked that part) for definitely not at all angsty reasons, trust me bro, and will re-meet post TLW, when Team Friendship happen to be in a certain criminal market.
P - Are you what George R. R. Martin would call an “architect” or a “gardener”? (How much do you plan in advance, versus letting the story unfold as you go?)
Hmm, probably more architect. I don't plan out down to the chapter, but I do have most events and plot points figured out, either before I start writing, or after but still before I get to relevant chapters. Though, y'all should see my notes on SoLM AU, I got very out of hand with those. Spent more time planning it than writing it.
R - Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
Yeah. I take influence and inspiration from Flippy the Godzilla (go read her fics, she's an amazing writing!) as well as just in general drawing on tropes and the like that I find out I enjoy by reading someone else do it first.
S - Any fandom tropes you can’t resist?
Arranged marriage. I am a slut for arranged marriage. Cannot stress how much I love it, it gets me kicking my feet and giggling with no fail. Come to think of it, I should write a Silly Hat Cats arranged marriage AU.... hmmm....
U - A pairing you might like to write for, but haven’t tried yet.
I suppose Francisco x Puss technically fit this? I've never written them yet, but I really want to and plan to. Kitty x Dulcinea as well.
W - Do you like more general prompts, or more specific ones?
I don't generally use prompts. But when I do, I like more general ones that still get a basic plan across. I don't really like things like one-liner prompts, but if it gets really detailed... well, I've never actually found a really detailed prompt before! Huh.
