We all know that Aziraphale's going to ultimately step down as Supreme Archangel because a life without Crowley isn't sustainable for him. I would like to present the best replacement (in my opinion):
Reasons I think Muriel is the best and most logical choice for Aziraphale's replacement:
Their new placement on Earth will give them the insight they need to be a good leader in Heaven.
Bright and cheery. Eager to please. Hard worker.
Doesn't assume the worst with either Aziraphale or Crowley (see their report to Michael).
Good angel.
Also, I love them, and I think they deserve the promotion.

[Start ID: Pages 37 to 40 of a Good Omens narrative featuring Muriel.
Trigger Warning: brief suicide mention thing about "jumping" BUT it's a misunderstanding all is good
37. "OI!" rings a voice from down below. Muriel and Crowley look over the edge of the roof at a very worried person at the foot of the building. He's got a phone to his ear, and his other palm is opened and stretched out towards them.
"STAY WHERE YOU ARE! DON'T JUMP!" he calls out. A couple of other pedestrians stop to look up.
Crowley rolls his eyes: "Oh somebody, give me strength-" He yells down to the streets below. "THAT'S NOT WHAT'S HAPPENING, YOU IDIOT!"
38. Crowley turns his attention back to Muriel: "Anyway, you ever seen a pelican?"
Muriel looks surprised, then puzzled: "...no? What's that got to-" "Good." Crowley says. "St James's Park, Westminster, tomorrow at 2:15PM by the duck pond. Don't be late."
39. Muriel only looks more confused: "Uh...why?"
"Well..." Crowley says, walking back towards the stairwell, "...you'll just have to find out, won't you?"
Muriel watches him go, silently.
40. A bonus image that happens later, when Muriel attempts to contact Heaven with a summoning circle. Muriel asks the glowing beam of light emanating from it: "May I request a day of leave from my post?"
The beam of light just says: "who r u lol". /End ID.]

Isn't it interesting...
Crowley's Lapels point up? Like Michael and Uriel's. Almost like they're more bastard than good... like crowley (although Crowley is nicer and kinder than both of them)
While Muriel, Saraqael, Aziraphale, and Gabriel's point... down. I know Saraqiel is not in a suit, but still.
Something something there's more to Muriel and Saraqael that meets the eye. We don't know them well if at all, and Crowley and Azi couldn't remember them (despite Aziraphale having a flashback ABOUT Muriel the day before. Very strange.)
