Breaking: Shooting at Great Mills High School in Maryland, three injured!

Breaking!

Fox News reports

At least three people were injured Tuesday morning in a shooting at Great Mills High School in Maryland, police told Fox News.

The St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office said the three victims were taken to the hospital but it was not clear how they were injured or the extent of the injuries. There were no fatalities immediately reported.

There has been a Shooting at Great Mills High School. The school is on lock down the event is contained, the Sheriff’s office is on the scene additional information to follow. Parents/Guardians should go to Leonardtown HS for reunification with GMHS students

The Associated Press reported one of the three people injured is the shooter. The shooter’s identity was not immediately available. ABC 7 reported a school resource officer jumped into action to bring the situation to an end.

The school was placed on lockdown and students were being evacuated to Leonardtown High School to be reunified with their parents.

A shooting was reported Tuesday morning at Great Mills High School in Maryland. (GMHS)

The incident was contained and police were on the scene, the school said on its website. Maryland State Police also told Fox News they were responding to the incident. The FBI and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms are on the scene assisting with the investigation.

Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan tweeted Tuesday his office was “closely monitoring the situation at Great Mills High School.”

“Maryland State Police is in touch with local law enforcement and ready to provide support. Our prayers are with students, school personnel, and first responders,” Hogan wrote.

Turbulente Zeiten

Nach meinem Termin letzte Woche fehlte mir die Kraft dazu was zu schreiben. Meine Gyn fand unseren Zwerg zu leicht und klein, hat ihn als Kontrollbedürftig eingestuft - das hat mich arg verunsichert und mir ganz schön zu denken gegeben. Ich hab tagelang gegrübelt, geweint, Angst gehabt...

Dazu ist der GMH nicht so schön gewesen. Gesamtlänge war zwar nach wie vor 3,3cm - hatte aber einen Trichter...stabiler GMH 2,7cm.

Gestern dann Kontrolle und es wurde alles nur schlimmer. Der Trichter ist länger geworden, der stabile Teil des Gebärmutterhalses Betrug nur noch 1,5cm und ich fand der Trichter wirkte schon sehr offen oben.

Was dann noch schlimmer war: der Kleine hatte in den 9 Tagen nicht ein Gramm zugelegt 😓. Immer noch die 1300g, die letzte Woche schon bedenklich waren.

Ureaplasmen sind auch noch in meinem Abstrich, allerdings will die Gynäkologin die nicht behandeln, da es wohl nicht so viele sind und 80% der Frauen welche haben.

Wir bekamen eibe Überweisung zum Doppler und ein Rezept für das Kortison für die Lungenreife.

Ich habe die Nacht kaum geschlafen, habe Gedanken gewälzt, panik geschoben, gegrübelt, geweint. Heute früh rief ich noch mal bei meiner Gyn an und hätte gern mit ihr gesprochen...wurde aber nicht durchgestellt. Scheinbar hatte die MFA mein Anliegen aber doch weiter gegeben und meine Gyn versuchte dann wohl einen schnellen Termin bei meinem Pränataldiagnostiker auszumachen. Der ist aber wohl im Urlaub...also rief mich meine Gyn an um mir das zu sagen und riet mir dann ins Krankenhaus zu fahren. Nicht weil sie das alles als besonders kritisch sah, sondern weil sie merkte wie verunsichert ich bin.

Den Gedanken ans Krankenhaus hatte ich zuvor selbst auch und hatte dort schon angerufen. Ich hatte/habe unglaubliche Angst vorm Krankenhaus! Die zwei Wochen dort waren Horror...der Gedanke fühlt sich so gemein an, schließlich würde ich für meinen Spatz alles tun! Dennoch versetzt mich der Gedanke noch mal stationär zu müssen in panik.

Nichts desto trotz sind wir also ins Krankenhaus gedüst und mussten zum Glück nicht so lange warten.

Der Doppler war okay - nicht super Mega toll, aber okay. Eine Seite war minimal drüber in den Werten, aber die Ärztin hat 5x betont, dass dass es okay für die SSW ist und ich mich da nicht sorgen muss.

Gemessen wurde der Kleine dort auf 1523g und zwar in einigen Größen eher Grenzwertig, in anderen Mittel, aber wohl auch okay - 18. Perzentile glaub ich. Gut, es waren halt 2 Ärzte, 2 Geräte...er wird nicht von gestern auf heute 200g zugenommen haben, aber was soll ich machen? Ich will darauf hoffen, dass die Werte von heute eher der Realität gleichen als die von gestern. Zart ist er dann immer noch, aber nicht viel zu Klein/Leicht.

Der Gebärmutterhals war ähnlich wie gestern. Der Trichter klaffte nur nicht so weit auf und sei so auch nich gar nicht so wirklich ein Trichter, sondern eher gelockertes Gewebe. Gesamtlänge maß man heute mit 3,1cm, der fest verschlossen Teil mit 1,3cm.

Die Ärztin heute empfand alles als okay - nichts super tolles, aber okay und nicht so schlimm als das ich bleiben müsste. Die Lungenreife könnte ich mir noch mal geben lassen, aber als nötig empfand sie das auch nicht unbedingt. Ende nächster Woche würde jedenfalls reichen und dann sind wir auch gut ausgerüstet für den Rest der Schwangerschaft.

In 10 Tagen soll ich noch mal zum Doppler ins Krankenhaus und ansonsten mindestens alle 10 Tage zur Gyn, da das doch alles genauer kontrolliert werden sollte und eben nicht optimal ist.

So richtig beruhigt bin ich nicht, aber beruhigt genug, dass ich es noch ein paar Tage schaffe. Ich bin froh, dass ich nicht dort bleiben musste.

Ich bin so froh, wenn die Schwangerschaft rum ist und der Kleine Mann gesund und munter in meinen Armen liegt! Ich bin langsam über meine Belastungsgrenze hinaus und tue mich sehr schwer damit das weiter durchzustehen mit erhobenem Haupt. Es geht nicht darum, dass ich das für mein Kind nicht machen will, er mir egal ist oder ich das Glück nicht zu schätzen weiß das ich habe, dass er Kleine überhaupt bei uns ist...der Kleine Mann ist der wichtigste Mensch in meinem Leben und dennoch bin ich selbst auch einer und bin einfach mit den Nerven am Ende. Diese ständige Angst, die ständigen schlechten Nachrichten, das nichts tun können, dem eigenen Körper nicht vertrauen können...das macht müde, kraftlos, hilflos. Ja, ich fühle mich extrem hilflos.

Wenn die Schwangerschaft vorbei wäre und er wäre da, könnte man ihm helfen, dann wäre ich nicht darauf angewiesen, dass mein Körper das schon macht. Natürlich weiß ich, dass es besser ist, dass der Kleine noch in meinem Bauch bleibt, sofern er dort versorgt ist, deshalb mache ich weiter, auch wenn ich nicht mehr kann! Ich liege brav weiter, nehme meine Mittelchen zu mir, nehme nicht mehr am Leben Teil, lasse meinen Mann mit der Arbeit alleine, baue Muskulatur ab, werde wahnsinnig, etc. - alles was dem Kleinen hilft, eben!

Ich würde gerne so für die nächsten, sagen wir, 5,5 Wochen die durchschlafen! Das wäre schön...oder wenigstens für die nächsten 3 Wochen und 2 Tage - dann haben wir die 34+0 erreicht und damit das nächste große Etappenziel, ab dem es nicht mehr so schlimm wäre, würde er kommen.

Dreht mal wer die Zeit vor?

TASPO Award 2019 – „Arbeitsgemeinschaft Nachhaltiger Topfpflanzenanbau NRW“ beste Kooperation des Jahres

Die Arbeitsgemeinschaft „Nachhaltiger Topfpflanzenanbau NRW“, der auch die Hochschule Rhein-Waal angehört, hat es sich zur Aufgabe gemacht, eine Strategie für den Anbau und die Vermarktung von nachhaltigen Topfpflanzen in NRW zu entwickeln. Das Teilprojekt „Nachhaltigkeit im Gartenbau – die erste ganzheitliche Betrachtung“ im Rahmen des gemeinsamen Forschungsvorhabens gewann jetzt in der Kategorie „Beste Kooperation des Jahres“ den TASPO Award 2019. Kleve/Kamp-Lintfort, 5. November 2019: Diskussionen um Rückstände von Pflanzenschutz, Nachhaltigkeitszertifikate als Liefervoraussetzung im Handel und der Trend zur Nachhaltigkeit bei Verbraucherinnen und Verbrauchern: Diese Entwicklungen zwingen Zierpflanzenbetriebe in Nordrhein-Westfalen ihre Produktionsweise zu überdenken, um sich auch in Zukunft die Position als wichtiges Anbaugebiet und bedeutender Wirtschaftsfaktor zu sichern. Hier setzt die Arbeitsgemeinschaft „Nachhaltiger Topfpflanzenanbau NRW“ an. Ihre Zusammenarbeit ist bereits so erfolgreich, dass sie dafür jetzt mit dem TASPO Award 2019 für die „Beste Kooperation des Jahres“ ausgezeichnet wurde. Aktuell entwickelt die Arbeitsgemeinschaft – ein Zusammenschluss von Hochschule, dem „Nachhaltige Zierpflanzenproduktion e.V.“ mit 17 Gartenbaubetrieben, der Landwirtschaftskammer NRW und „Das Grüne Medienhaus (GMH)“ – gemeinsam ein System zur Bewertung von Nachhaltigkeit für den Gartenbau. Die unterschiedlichen Qualifikationen und Kompetenzen der einzelnen Kooperationspartner ermöglichen dabei eine ganzheitliche Herangehensweise an die Aufgabenstellung. Die Anforderungen durch Lieferanten, Händler und Kunden an die Nachhaltigkeit der Betriebe nehmen deutlich zu und machen ein Umdenken hinsichtlich der Produktionsweise erforderlich. An der Hochschule Rhein-Waal werden dafür sämtliche Aspekte der Produktion in den Unternehmen analysiert und Bewertungskriterien für eine Nachhaltigkeitsanalyse bestimmt. Neuartig ist in diesem Projekt, dass die Innovation aus den Betrieben heraus gestartet und damit ein unmittelbarer Praxisbezug gewährleistet wird. Aus den Ergebnissen werden dann allgemeingültige Handlungsfelder herausgearbeitet und für die Betriebe individuelle Lösungen entwickelt. Das Projekt wird im Rahmen des Förderprogramms „Europäische Innovationspartnerschaft Landwirtschaftliche Produktivität und Nachhaltigkeit“ (EIP-AGRI) gefördert. „Mit dem Projekt legen wir zusammen mit unseren Kooperationspartnern den Grundstein für eine ressourcenschonende und zukunftssichere Topfpflanzenproduktion in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Die Auszeichnung macht uns stolz und zeigt, dass unsere erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit entsprechend gewürdigt wird, freut sich Professorin Dr. Dagmar Mithöfer, ehemalige Professorin für Agribusiness der Hochschule Rhein Waal und seit Oktober Professorin für Management agrarischer Wertschöpfungsketten der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Bereits zum 14. Mal zeichnete die TASPO, das führende Fachmedium der Grünen Branche, herausragende Ideen und Menschen ihres Bereiches aus. In insgesamt 18 verschiedenen Kategorien werden Innovationen und neue Impulse prämiert. Die Jury setzt sich aus namhaften Persönlichkeiten der Gartenbaubranche und deren Umfeld zusammen. An den Standorten Kleve und Kamp-Lintfort bietet die Hochschule insgesamt 25 Bachelor- und elf Master-Studiengänge an vier Fakultäten – „Technologie und Bionik“, „Life Sciences“, „Gesellschaft und Ökonomie“ und „Kommunikation und Umwelt“ – an. Die Studieninhalte an der Hochschule Rhein-Waal sind wissenschaftlich, anwendungsorientiert und international ausgerichtet. I sent Disney feedback saying that I was disappointed to hear they cancelled gmw and asked kindly if they could release their rights, and they emailed me back saying that they cancelled the show because the "viewers drastically dropped from the season premiere to the most recent season". Those were the EXACT words, nothing about releasing the show

Lol if that’s the case, they should cancel all their shows then.

Disney has seen a drastic decline in ratings across the board over these past 5 years and GMW has been in proportion with that. It’s consistently still been their top rated show, and frequently rating in the top 10 Friday night cable shows for the 18-34 demo (something most of the other Disney shows did not do).

Liv and Maddie for example, had 5.78 million viewers for their series premiere and 1.80 for their S3 premiere, and still got a S4 (which premiered to 1.66 million viewers).

GMW (which premiered a year later and keep in mind the general ratings decline from year to year), premiered to 5.16 million viewers and its season 3 premiere got 1.89 million viewers (and GMHS part 2 got 2.23 million). So GMW actually had less of ratings decline than L&M.

Or consider KCU. It’s 2015-2016 season 1 averaged 2.3 million viewers. Its 2016-2017 season 2 has averaged about 1.53 million viewers so far over 22 episodes.

In comparison, GMW’s 2015-2016 season 2 averaged 2.3 million viewers as well. Its 2016-2017 season 3 has averaged 1.74 million viewers so far over 18 episodes. So between television seasons, GMW actually had less of drop in ratings than KCU.

Anyway, my point is, a drastic drop in ratings since the premiere as a reason for cancellation is a bunch of bs. What they really mean is “the ratings have dropped just like every other show, but the production cost is high, so it’s better for our bottom line to cancel it and spend less money on other productions”.

(and ofc they're not going to flat out say yes or no about the rights issue)
