WOW by that time I didn’t even know how to use photoshop, so this first one was literally made on a automatic website.. that's what a call an improvement nvdjsbgj I had no idea about frame speed, coloring, sharpening....which is something I’m still learning about... now I also have my cute watermark hehe

i started giffing back in may and although there isn’t much time that has passed, i think i’ve been improving my coloring technique time and time again. here is a side-by-side comparison of my coloring from two months ago of this ex stage vs. how i would prefer to color it now. i know it looked atrocious which is why i’m planning to repost a recolored version of it soon.
i’d avoided giffing stages for so long bc i didn’t know exactly what to do w so many movements, flashes and the abrupt changes of colors in the background but surprisingly enough, i think i did pretty well w my first set. here’s my first ever attempt on it: hyunminsung all in stage.
honestly, giffing stages is still a hit-or-miss for me but i would like to keep improving and be more consistent w the coloring and adjustments / corrections.

so @spoopy-boo set a wonderful challenge for gifmakers to remake one gif or gifset from our gifmaking days. right here we have what i think is my first attempt at making stage gifs. as you can see, i didnt know how to colour and thankfully i have learned how to over the last 3 years.
as a bonus i have also included a little before and after colour comparison for my remade gif cos wow. just wow

for the gif remake challenge by @spoopy-boo, here's what i think was my first attempt at giffing a stage back in march 2022!
up until then i had avoided giffing stages like the plague, and it's pretty obvious i had no idea the selective color adjustment layer existed (and now i can't live without it), i had never ever opened curves before and i think the original gif is unsharpened too
i didn't know how to resize things either, so i worked on the file in its original size and then i just kind of...compressed it? in the export for web mask, it's a miracle my computer didn't explode in a cloud of smoke in its valiant effort of trying to shrink the gif down lmao
there are still so many things i want to improve on but i'm really happy with what i have learned so far! 😊

@spoopy-boo started this cool gif remake challenge! so here i am with my gifs! i’ve actually been making gifs since 2018, but i never thought to recolor or anything like that. i just adjusted the frame timing and added a watermark. i stopped making gifs in late 2021. i wasn’t really... motivated i guess, i wasn’t excited to gif things. but after i fell into stray kids, i found motivation again and here i am!
even in such a small time frame, 1–2 months, i started to use all 3 parts of the color balance layer, which is such a dramatic improvement from the left to right. i remember making the gifs on the left and thinking they looked amazing (which they do), but looking at them compared to the right, there’s so much more color, more life on the right since i started using all 3 parts of the color balance layer i use.
this is so cool to see, even when i looked at these gifs back in june, i thought they looked a little lifeless and i wanted them to look better. so i actually went back through ALL my gifs from april, 2022 and recolored them ALL. i would call it the perfectionist in me that made me do that, but yeah, this is a fun challenge!
