I wanted to say thank you to everybody who left a nice comment on my Leonardo Ghost 💖The longer I work on all the things I got going on, the more my mind gaslights me into thinking that Leo is incredibly unfinished and I am very bad for not being an update machine, but your kind comments about how well-made he is always quell my anxiety and make me remember that it's not a crime if I leave him as he is. I did a good enough job. Adding stuff can wait. He's good enough.

little tinnnnyyy Leo ghost thinggggyyy, I have given him prob like 7 pizzas, I’ve had him for under a day, I’ve gained his trust in 24 hours. I love it and all but, I’m worried I’ll run out of new interactions by the end of the week and it makes me sad. Could you make it so there is a proper “pizza timer” so I can only give him one like every 6 hours or something?

There is technically a pizza timer - you can give him only one when you call him to your screen, which I assume you'd do once, maybe twice in one day. I didn't want to make it actually unavailable for a real time, because I didn't want to gatekeep people from gaining trust/seeing more pizza (and how are Leo/Mikey/April/Casey are doing) dialogue

If you are exploiting the pizza trust gain by resummoning Leo, that's your choice. You can stick to realism (that's what I would do until I actually gain high trust, then I'd perhaps just hunt more dialogue if I was curious enough)

So I don't intend to add such timer to any feature, that's my choice as a developer

Ghost Future Leonardo FAQ

(...I'll get a better header picture later. Maybe.)

Since I keep getting repeated questions, I've decided to make a FAQ where I can put all explanations to and link to it 👉👉

❓How do I keep Leo on top of my screen applications?

If you want him to stay on top of your windows, right click him, then go to Options - Preferences, then the Ghost(2) tab in the big menu that pops up. Check "Always Show Foreground" and that should do it.

❓Is there any screenshots on how I can install Leo?

Check out this post, it describes how to install Leo, screenshots included

❓Does Leo work on Chromebook, IOS, newer Android, etc? Will he ever?

No. I can't personally make him work on other platforms - unless the developers of the software (called SSP) will make SSP work on those platforms, Leo won't be able to work there.

❓How do I talk to Leo? How do I ask him a question? How do I pet him?

After installing Leo, if you want to interact with him just double click him - anywhere but his face. Right click on him calls more generic options menu.

To pet him, stroke the top of his head with your mouse, no clicking. If you want to know more general area, look at this gif here.

❓Download link for Leonardo doesn't seem to be working, what should I do?

Since the download link in my post leads to the website I made on neocities, sometimes website doesn't work, but you should be able to install Leo straight from the Google Drive here. You can see instructions linked in the second question of this post.

❓My data doesn't save - every time I open Leo, the introduction plays again, what should I do?

Most of the time it means that the files have been installed incorrectly, and folders are not where they should be.

Here's the files you should have in your 'ghost' folder (the location of which will most probably be your 'downloads' folder), and files you should have there

For the first 'ghost' folder, unless you installed desktop ghosts before you will only have 'Future Leonardo' and 'emily4' folders

Inside the 'shell' folder you should have 3 folders - 'Taileo', 'Neon Leon' and 'Chin Stripes', and they all contain lots of pngs and a couple of txt files

Don't worry about 'profile' folder, I believe it just saves the data of ghosts's coordinates on your screen in case you move them around

It might be a problem with a save file - just make sure you don't move 'aya5_variable.cfg' from the 'master' folder, because that's an actual file that contains all the save data.

❓Will you ever make more TMNT ghosts? Other brothers?

No. I have enough stuff I still wish to implement to Leo, and even if I made any other turtle, the overall experience wouldn't be much different. But don't let your dreams be dreams, you can always try and make your beloved turtle live on your desktop yourself! English Desktop Ghost devs community is so lovely, they're always happy to help both new and seasoned devs 💖✨

💙Ghost Future Leonardo update (26.04.2023)

(if you want your own desktop Leo, check out this post!)

⚠At this time, SSP is still experiencing an error which I can't do anything about, so Leo may run into an 'error' while updating. I don't really have an advice apart for periodically trying to have him update again.⚠

✨To update Leonardo, double click his body, open 'run errands' menu and click the top option that is 'Check for Leo updates'

A TAIL IS NOW A REALITY! Give your old man a tail that will wiggle waggle - right click Leonardo Ghost and go to Change Shell -> Taileo and Leo will have a tail! It's just a custom change you can go to at any time. In case his passive tail wiggling distracts you, you can always change him to default by going to Change Shell -> Neon Leon

WATCH STUFF WITH LEO! Well, more like have Leo watch stuff with you!

You can now Interact with him (if your relationship is high enough)

For now, the only available interaction you can unlock is the 'Watch something together'

A choice of what to watch! There's multiple options to choose from, each having different responses from Leo.

You can always change his talk rate in the stats menu to not talking if you just want him to silently watch what's going on on the screen and not have his talking distract you, but if you like his lines, you can pick any of these activities and he will react accordingly.

And, when you're done, you can double click Leo and ask him to stand back up at any time 💙

A couple of additional dialogue lines (idle) depending on which shell you have for him currently

I hope the SSP bug will be fixed soon, but for now, good luck to people who will be updating Leon 💖 I hope you guys enjoy it!

I really appreciate all the support I received since I made this lil' dude, and I hope people will enjoy watching stuff with him! 💕✨

I have no clue about anything with coding, but is it possible for ghost leo to call you out for listening to the same thing for like an hour? it seems like an incredibly funny concept to me. again, i know nothing about coding, this could be impossible for all i know lol

I don't think it could be this elaborate, but I've seen other ghost being coded to recognize and comment on if you have your Discord open, Paint Tool Sai or even a specific game. I haven't tried it yet but maybe some time later Leo will judge you on your applications

Hello! I've downloaded Ghost Future Leo for 2 months and I had a really great time with him (at least he can make my computer less boring, but still fun tho)

I've also discovered that there are some files that contain his dialogues. May I add some more dialogues for him?

You can add dialogue to him if you wish, but if you'll go around sharing 'modded' stuff/screenshots, please always specify that it's modded.

Coming up to 1000 followers milestone, I thought it would be neat to celebrate. So I wonder what you guys would like to see

Elaboration on the options:

First one is quite clear - update for Ghost Leo, either one where he can at last eat or sleep. Yes, for now its either. Sorry Leo.

I'll draw out (color, render, all that jazz) some stuff Leon does when he's not in your computer. A glance at him when he's not on your screen...

A discord server with wips for future updates, for sharing your pcpaw experience and get the technical/install help you may need

This is just a cope out for folk who tell me to take a break and not worry my worry head xD But my rest will come with a backflip from Leo! Wonders!

Please tell me if I'm out of line here but. Do you ever plan on adding a function (to ghost future leo) to slap his bald head

Funny enough the function of hitting his face was one of the default functions. I thought about keeping and writing it, but...

If enough of you guys want to befriend him only to slap him than yes, that can happen

Unless you can't ask him to 'say something' (or you do it and he's just silent) then you have to reboot him

And don't pet him in the future when he's mid speech while he's sad because that makes him sad forever

Is ghost leo supposed to restart every time you turn him on? Bc i turned off my laptop and when i turned it on he did the introduction sequence again

No, you are only supposed to do introduction song and dance once. Make sure not to interrupt him while he does it, and play it to the end. If you still have troubles with it, please dm me.

For the F!Leo computer thing, does it work on Chromebooks?

I don't know (I had to google what Chromebooks even is fnjsfjsk). You can see install options for different platforms on the website, perhaps one of them might work. Or look for a program that allows chromebooks to run windows stuff, if there's any.

Hi, so I was wondering if it was normal for ghost Leo not to talk after an update. I just updated mine and for some reason, he won't talk. I even changed how much he talks, putting it to 30 seconds to see if I was just missing it. But he still won't, so I'm very confused.

Is that normal

It sounds like he still opens his menu even if he doesn't talk - in that case you can try 'reset passive mode'

You may have files in wrong folders - make sure it looks something like this

And shell folder is full of pngs and a few txt files

So, all safe data is stored in this file

You can check if it disappeared or something, but as is there's no real way of getting it back (since I'm not sure why it would happen in the first place? Sorry ;;)
