ok im so new to hockey and ive been getting into leafs and theres just one thing i do not get at all 😭 which is.. is mitchy bad? ive seen people say that he is inconsistent (how long has he been inconsistent?) but ive also seen a LOT of dudebros hockey enthusiasts who say he’s bad and lazy and passes blame and want him to change lines or whatever so i dont really know???
mitch is.... very good actually
Tumblr media
let's start with current leafs records: active leader in points, assists, shorthanded goals. franchise leader in empty net goals.
also worth noting Wikipedia updates these stats after every season versus every game; mitch now has upwards of 600 points, and is the second-fastest leaf to 600, ever (he held the record for fastest for about 2 weeks -- auston beat him just after)
he also has the leafs' longest point streak -- 23 games
this is the general leafs leaderboard:
Tumblr media
someone appears on that list three times, and it isn't our chosen one am34! (again, this was just up until the end of last season)
Even beyond counting stats, he's still consistently one of the best Leafs around, because he plays defence, is one of the best passers in the league, and penalty-kills. Here's HockeyViz' breakdown of him:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those two images aren't aligned super well, but we're looking at the sG column on the far right, which is HockeyViz's "overall merit" metric. Here are stars of similar value:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Obviously, this one guy's metric is not the be-all end-all. But i find it a helpful guideline comparison to similar players -- essentially, Mitch is a one-tick-below superstar, in the tier below your Pastrnaks, M Tkachuks. (who are themselves the tier below Matthews/MacKinnon/Kucherov) "Bad" is a very funny word to use for these players. Bad comparable to McDavid, as if literally everyone else isn't.)
the People Hate Mitch thing is because of this entire personality construct they've developed around him -- he had really tough contract negotiations and signed for "more than he was worth" (aka a reasonable number given expectations of cap rising that did Not take into account a global pandemic coming into effect within a couple years), and the leafs' lack of playoff success (despite the fact that he is the Leafs' active playoff points leader). He's also not super well media trained and never seems to say the right words the right way, even if the obvious sentiment is there, and people who already want to hate on him just take it as further fodder for their complex.
Add that to the "concerns" about his relatively small frame that have been around forever and the ongoing Wendel Clark complex Toronto fans seem to have (ability and/or willingness to drop the gloves = grit = value) and you have a recipe for people that Hate Him For No Reason.
He is absolutely having an off year this year, and I don't know if he's got some nagging injury or whatever, but even in his off year he's one of the best Leafs.
I also think this is partly because of the underrating of Auston Matthews in comparison -- he's a generational goalscoring talent! He's a top three player in the league and he isn't number three! -- that Mitch is deemed "bad," because he's not quite as good as AM34 and we have determined that that means he's somehow Terrible. Sigh.

In the Clavis Continuity, I love imagining Emma happening upon Cyran and Kai and Hugo having an animated discussion in the Obsidian language one day. Upon seeing her, they invite her over and ask her how she's coming along with her own studies of the language.
She nervously says a few sentences, and of course all three of them are quick to sing her praises. But even Emma knows her effort was far from perfect, so she asks them to be totally honest with her. After some prompting, they finally relent.
A little too much. The next 30 seconds is filled with so much unintentionally-harsh critique that Emma is practically on the verge of tears. This understandably lands the trio of men in a particularly insidious affair in the Lelouch Trap Series.
This leads to Emma having to launch a full-scale rescue. Unfortunately Clavis catches her in the act. Naturally he's is super-excited about Emma engaging him in his little play session, so he devises an impromptu game out of it. She'll have three chances to free them, but each time she fails, she'll earn a special naughty penalty (to be delivered after sunset in the privacy of Clavis' room).
Because this is Ikepri, Emma gets down to her last shot, having already incurred XXXX and XXXX on her Lascivious Lelouch Ledger. In the meantime, Clavis has also fine-tuned his trap so Emma can no longer physically get to the trio. For their part, they've begun passing the time by listening to Hugo talk about the time he fell asleep during one of Gilbert's speeches at the military academy. It's a riveting story full of twists and turns and Clavis mistakes the resulting gasps as proof that his trap is truly the hallmark of his career in villainy.
Emma uses this opportunity to start singing an Obsidian folk song (learned from the Obsidianite immigrants in the kingdom) for seemingly no reason. At least no reason that Clavis can surmise. But she cleverly changes some of the lyrics to incorporate obscure vocabulary she'd learned from the trio earlier that day. And, in incredible coincidence, that vocabulary is weirdly relevant to helping the trio navigate Clavis' trap and get themselves out.
After Emma 'wins' the game and the trio are safely back in the realm of the unsnared, they begin singing her praises about her singing. And then Kai tells her that she mispronounced one of the words as a very naughty word and that's why they'd started turning red from attempting to hold back their laughter. Cyran and Hugo chastise Kai for being too honest.
Clavis, growing increasingly jealous and needy as he stands by, decides to employ drastic measures and he walks up to Emma, Chevaliers her over his shoulder and absconds for his private quarters, looking nothing like a gentleman but every bit like an insecure boyfriend.
The end.

for the milgram ask game!!! i looked through your answers but if anything repeats im sorry😭
9,10,11 - kazui
15,16 - amane
9,10,15,16 - muu
Its alright! Everytime someone sends me an ask for an ask game my power grows...
Kazui:
9. do you forgive/not forgive their crime on its own?
Hm, well, gonna be honest I'm not super sure what his crime is now. I know what I find the most interesting storytelling wise but Kazui is also a Lying Liar Man.
If were referring to specifically lying to his wife...I think id forgive him...I think.
Like its a horrible fucking thing to do but...I understand that "if you just lie it'll be Fine Eventually" mindset pretty well. I see how he got here. Still: Horrible thing to do! Im a bit conflicted here! I should have an easier time with this considering characters who I've forgiven before but damn, me not being really sure what he did is Getting To Me.
Though its also (presumably) NOT ACTUALLY MURDER and I know law isnt a big deal here but ALSO I dont think he should be tortured and possibly given the death penalty for this, yknow? Bit Much I Think.
10. is the answer to the previous question different from your vote(s) on the character themselves (do you vote them based on anything else aside from the crime)?
My forgiven gets a bit stronger if thats the case? I vote him forgiven because of a lot of things. For example: Even if I didn't like his character so much Id have forgiven him for Amane's sake...
11. what are your favorite points about their story and the narrative surrounding them?
I Love It When Characters are Horribly Resigned To Their Situations!!!! "Tragedy Enjoyers when The Tragedy Happens" Moment Fr. Kazui's super interesting to me since he's basically...given up. He's given up on getting anything he wanted and he has horrible self-loathing and is just resigned to never being really Happy, and yet he still Wants and that Wanting is already "bad" no matter if he acts on it or not.
Jupiter: But if it's only what I feel inside that matters, what am I supposed to do? I can't stop that kind of touch.
(this is an ask I get to put in appropriate quotes from Jupiter)
He's unsatisfied and disillusioned and self-destructive and it be so much easier if he was just...not "like this". Whatever This is. His family seems to be very traditional overall too and there's a lot of discussion going on about societal normal and standards.
Also also! His relationship with love fucks me up, both him and Mahiru's. It's like an obligation of sorts. Something that makes them more marketable and presentable. Their love can feel so...impersonal as a result if that makes sense. Like it's just a quota they need to fill.
Even Mahiru's actually! It's weird to think about considering how loud Mahiru is about it but there's something so vaguely impersonal about Mahiru's love. Like "This is how to be in love with you" as a title plays off that in a way. The other person doesn't get to put any input into it, this is how your Supposed to be loved.
Kazui's relationship with love is so interesting to me as a result, it's so performative and is used for his own Marketability as a person. I'm still obsessed about how Kazui and Mahiru portray love as something that is sold to people-
Plus all of this gives him some Fun Parallels with the other cat person he's paired up with. It's interesting to see how both of them deal with being perceived as inherently sinful in some way and against societal norms.
I dunno I just think Kazui is super interesting! He's an interesting fella!
Amane:
15. what do you think of their voice?
I love how she sounds so much! She can sound so happy and cheeky and sweet in one moment and then ominous, angry and downright terrifying the next. Her VA is great, Tanaka Minami does such a fantastic job as her. Amane can sound so very different and yet still sound like Her. Compare Animal to Positive Parade or Magic to Purge March and even though they sound so different they still sound like Her! Magic's mostly consistent tone and emotions making it feel restrained and carefully presented vs Purge March's various different emotions and tones and just how Different it can sound depending on the part is So cool! She can go from angry to sad to bitter to defeated to joyfully ecstatic and all of those at once!
Like at the end of Purge March, Amane always sounds like she's at the verge of crying to me. The emotional catharsis was so very real there!!! It's so good!!! It's so good!!!!
16. how do you think they actually sing in regular life?
Once again directing people to how Amane seems to be in Choir.
Tumblr media
I know people who were in choir those people can Sing Alright. Out of everyone in the cast she is probably the most likely person to know how to actually sing properly. Plus I always think it's funny that Amane quietly calls the cult's music boring in an interrogation. I choose to believe she can Sing Really Well and that when she gets out of the cult she gets Really Into Metal.
In the wise words of my dad: "Metalheads are the happiest because we let out all our anger through the power of METAL!!!!!"
Muu:
9. do you forgive/not forgive their crime on its own?
I Do Not Forgive Her! Sorry Muu but the Consequences of your Actions are here! I know you have a lot of problems and that the murder seems actually pretty impulsive overall but like...sorry Muu can't really forgive you if we're judging my your crime alone.
10. is the answer to the previous question different from your vote(s) on the character themselves (do you vote them based on anything else aside from the crime)?
Hmm, maybe? I still want to not forgive her honestly for some personal reasons but I do know that not forgiving her might not be the best decision overall...I dunno very conflicted I guess.
15. what do you think of their voice?
Kouri Arisa is a wonderful singer and I'm incredibly impressed with her vocals and acting. I don't have much to say on her compared to Amane but I love how she sounds so much. There's something kinda...floaty about it I guess? I dunno how to describe it, it's just sort of airy and whispery like, Muu is telling you a secret. I think it's really cool and it makes the parts where she sounds more confident and loud contrast really well.
It's so good I love it hhhhh-
16. how do you think they actually sing in regular life?
Decently I think? Like average overall. I think she knows a few songs by heart though and for those in particular she sounds really good.

holy shit your Tzimisce are cool as fuck. Could I ask more about Jaeyoon? They seem rly interesting :D Also, I'm curious how your group ran Cybervamp ruleswise, since that's also something I've been dying (heh) to try out.
thank u!! and jaeyoon DOES seem interesting, but they're not my character so i actually don't know a ton about them! i will tell you what i know... apologies if it's a little disjointed.
jaeyoon is an independent tzimisce neonate. they're not Actually a metamorphosist i just needed to make the joke work. they haven't been able to make cybernetics work on their own body, but they knew it worked on some kindred, so they enlisted taeho's.... help.
by that i mean they basically made him into a bit of a project. they chose her bc he had made some advancements in the field, and she had a super shady side business as an unlicensed ripper doc. perfect tzimisce fodder i think. anyway, jaeyoon embraced him to be a research partner and a test subject. fun fact: they took out all the cybernetics taeho had before embracing her. both to have a clean slate and for concerns about security risks.
jaeyoon is a paranoid sort, as most kindred are, and seems not to have been on good terms with the camarilla. they wouldn't let taeho out of the haven on his own, even to hunt. jaeyoon had taeho subsist on their vitae instead.
jaeyoon's main focus seems to be on combining cybernetics and vicissitude, which they have successfully done with taeho's sweet cyber tentacles.
jaeyoon and taeho also tried to dabble in koldunism, but they're not very connected to their roots. the two had to hunt down information themselves, and didn't end up with anything too substantial.
that's basically all the info i have on them!
ruleswise the game is mostly just vtm with cyberpunk set-dressing. i don't think we use any mechanics from the cyberpunk ttrpgs, so maybe it's incorrect to call it a crossover. i'm also not the st, so i don't know the details. it's mostly just homebrew afaik! cybernetics tend to give extra dice to certain stats, but also other functions.
taeho's tentacles, for example, give him +2 dice to brawl and evading, and they have lights to use in the dark :) they require a rouse check to deploy with vicissitude tho so they usually only come out for combat. another character has a cybernetic arm that i think gives her a bonus for strength? and that's useful except for when the arm breaks and she gets penalties instead. heehee
oh. i know that kindred even being able to get cybernetics requires some kind of combination of humanity and luck. gah, there was a scene where taeho installed some on a kindred but i can't remember if the patient had to roll anything to represent that. happened too long ago 😔

not a cheat
Summary: Leandro uses his abilities to help Arsenal win a game
Pairing: None
As usual, set within my supernatural au!
-
Supers aren't allowed to use their powers in their normal jobs, Leandro gets that. Having been born as a vampire, he's also been trained to curb his super speed and strength from a very young age, even without a restriction wristband. But sometimes he just can't resist doing some stuff on the pitch, illicit tricks all made easier by his vampire abilities but can be passed as merely astounding football skills for the unsuspecting eyes.
Like what he does today against Leeds.
They're already up 2-0, a penalty from Gabby and a goal from Ben putting them up front, but as Leandro has heard so many times, 2-0 is the scariest score in football and he knows all too well about the fighting spirit of a team looking to escape relegation. They simply can't risk losing their focus, and if possible, extend their goal difference over Man City. So when the ball falls onto his feet in the 55th minute, his brain immediately runs in full speed.
Three Leeds players close up to him, trying to restrict his view and block the lane of passing, but Leandro's heightened vision already spots a small opening, not quite convenient for a goal maybe, but enough to create a chance for his teammates to score a goal. Then something hits his senses.
The sound of footsteps, so light they barely crush the grass below them. The mixed scent of freshly baked pastries, roses, and sweaty football jerseys. The sting of light and magic running all over his skin, just stopping short from causing him to hiss in pain.
Gabby. Gabby is there, running into the penalty area, and if Leandro's senses serve him right, towards the exact spot where he's planned to direct his cross to.
And he takes it as his cue to move.
Swiftly Leandro starts, maneuvering through his opponents with ease. Ben calls it "Leo's filthy footwork" and he guesses the center-back has a point with that nickname. Soon he manages to leave his three markers eating the dust and unleashes a pass, which lands perfectly on the spot he wants, where Gabby greedily pounces on it and curls a shot with his right foot.
The cheer among the Gooners is deafening as the ball hits the back of the net. Gabby screams and jumps to the air, running towards the corner flag with Leandro trailing after him. The whole team soon follows, hugs and yells and head pats coming from every direction that he isn't sure why none of them has suffered from mild concussion yet.
As they finally untangle themselves from each other and Leandro jogs back to his position, he catches something from the corner of his eyes.
His manager, Mikel, standing tall by the sidelines, staring straight at him. His face, still partly bearing the excitement from Gabby's goal earlier, has another expression in it that Leandro can't read, stern, yet understanding, but maybe also slightly accusing? And as the Belgian forward keeps looking on, Mikel's mouth slowly moves, forming the words We need to talk.
Leandro swallows.
He should've known this could happen. Mikel, being the prolific wizard he is, always seems to know whenever one of his players misuse their powers, and he's certainly sensed that Leandro just used his vampire abilities to help Gabby score a goal. And he's likely going to be subjected to an intense lecture after this, which he's definitely not looking forward to…
But then Granit calls him to remind him the game's restarting, and Leandro quickly pushes it out of his mind. He'll deal with Mikel later. For now he has a game to win.

a narrative review of tof, 2
shirli can’t fly
i am... almost reluctantly getting invested??? the characters are cute, what can i say. and i think there’s some mystery regarding shirli, the cute little sister ditzy mechanic character who is the ~mysterious wanderer’s~ companion for the first 10% of ch 1 of this game (aka: how far i’ve played. i even got an achievement for it!)
flying is... i dont know, much less fun than in genshin? im trying not to constantly compare the two but there was MUCH more maneuverability with flying in genshin. even tho tof lets you maneuver in air, the jetpack mostly just lets you go... up
boom boom explore time
the first 10% mostly is just a continuation of exploration/tutorial. you get a jetpack! u get drone-taxied around. there’s a big tower. i spent a good thirty minutes just exploring, because i could and its fun. between worlds, i’m less reminded of genshin and more of botw. something about the placement of things, idk. there’s a brief mention to cooking. your hand is guided towards pulls. i tossed around little bomb creatures, 10/10
pulls
as far as i can understand, pulling is integrated into the lore/story of the game because there is some kind of orbital mission control that beams down info upon request/sale. you “buy” weapons, which come with a bonus download package of a WOMD (Waifu of Mass Destruction) who was super awesome at using that weapon, and that weapon + info gets downloaded into mc’s brain so he can use the weapon to it’s full potential. narratively, i assume this means the mc suffers from big personality disorder/suffers disorienting periods where they imagine themselves as deadly WOMDs.
war time
the part that made me reluctantly impressed was a brief invasion by npcs. something about the machine guns, hoverboard, and ship-explosion does it. I HAVE, however, seen it executed better elsewhere - this game suffers the unfortunate pauses in combat that make it clear they are waiting for you to get from point a to point b; also, you take very little damage. the stakes are pretty low, but it was still cool
so what’s up with shirli?
i belatedly realized our peppy mechanic pall was the sad-looking cyborg from the loading menus. what happened? is she the girl who’s butt i have to stare at during the server selection screen?
second impressions:
reluctantly getting impressed. the pulls are pretty nice but about the same as genshin, except the character + weapon come combined so thats real nice. i also like you can switch weapons and characters. i have yet to figure out if there’s some kind of penalty for it, or if after getting them its just up to preference. i dont really care; combat bores me no matter how interesting it is in this game according to the 100000 other reviews. i have yet to upgrade a single weapon.
i did, however, after two boring ten pulls, encounter my usual start of the game gatcha luck and snagged two sr (only one which was a dupe) and an ssr in a single ten pull. the ssr’s voice annoys me, alas. also, none of them are the guy characters i actually wanted.
more tba as i keep playing

Ch. 138 thoughts
[Rolling the Gacha]
Fuuko officially confirms that the Quests don’t start until Apocalypse gets opened specifically within the Roundtable Room, which I assume doesn’t need to literally be the same room every time as the Roundtable is apparently able to be transported to other locations such as when Burn stole it
We’ve also confirmed that Gina is currently the only other official member of the Union, which I speculated on last week despite the fact that Ichico has already been recruited
Apocalypse opens and issues the first three Quests, and we immediately learn that Loop 101 is not like the others: right off the bat, one of the Quests is the NEUTRALIZATION, not capture, of Spoil. Why Sun is suddenly okay with the idea of Spoil’s death and the loss of decay as a concept, I’m not sure, but I assume it’s either because they’ve decided that Spoil is not necessary for their perfect world or because they want the final set of Quests to be particularly challenging
The latter seems more likely to me, honestly, cus I think this final Loop is meant to be the end of the UMA forcing suffering onto humanity and move the world closer to something akin to heaven. This is likely also why, despite the fact that Spoil and Stop are expendable, UMA Kindness is meant to be captured, not neutralized. After all, in a “perfect” world, rot and decay wouldn’t be necessary, and kindness would be the norm
Also interesting that the penalty is UMA Ghost, who in the past was a reward for capturing Autumn. Remember, the 101 penalties are listed on a tablet in what is presumably a set order; Ragnarok is supposed to be the 101st penalty, Revolution the 100th, Galaxy the 99th, etc. But now, Galaxy seems to already be present and Ghost is presented as a penalty rather than a reward. If the first 99 penalties need to be enacted before Ragnarok can go into effect, then we can assume that the penalties are also a factor in Sun’s perfect world. The presence of Ghost means that when people die, they have a way to persist; the afterlife if you will. This furthers my suggestion that Sun’s goal is to create heaven, a kingdom of immortal souls that worship and serve their God
Fuuko decides to simply skip the Quests, allowing Ghost to be added and Spoil/Stop to roam free, which...I think is slightly irresponsible, considering that the UMA go out of their way to kill people and make them suffer, but at the same time, the attempt to capture any given UMA is extremely dangerous, and with so few members, the chances of losing members only goes up. This honestly puts Juiz’s decision to ignore Spoil in Loop 100 into a whole new perspective; of course she didn’t want to fight Spoil! Spoil once took out everyone in the Union except her and Victor, the only reward was Unrepair, and the only penalty was GALAXY? Yeah, that’s really not a bad trade off. Unrepair can be found anytime, and Juiz beat Galaxy’s juniors, the Acks, instantly. Why would she risk anyone’s lives for that?
Fuuko’s decision to skip Quests in the interest of finding a Quest with a reward she actually wants, which she compares to rerolling in a gacha game, honestly benefits her way more than it could possibly hurt her. She doesn’t risk losing any of her team, Rules she’s already familiar with from her previous world are reintroduced, and the one-year timeskip penalty just means that she doesn’t need to wait around or have her teammates get any older and lose vitality. Even the lack of Roundtable seats doesn’t really matter cus the final battle with Sun doesn’t have any participation restrictions. She and Gina are extremely powerful in and of themselves, so the few Quests they do participate in won’t be a huge problem as is, and they won’t have lost anyone before the fight with Sun. It’s kind of unhinged for her to go with this strategy, but it works super well for her purposes, and we love an unhinged protagonist anyway
Fuuko also calls Apocalypse Apoccy, which is just so in character for her. Of course she views Apocalypse as a jerk friend, so did Juiz, and she made friends with Clothes in basically no time at all
Nico is understandably hesitant about the timeskipping, as each penalty, while inevitable, is presumably able to be put off indefinitely by completing Quests. If Fuuko, say, were able to defeat Spoil and Stop and capture Kindness, then do the next set of Quests, then Ghost would never be added and the Union would still have what is, in effect, 101 “lives” before getting a “game over.” What Fuuko is doing here is tantamount to throwing away attempts, but like I said, she’s also using them as payment to skip “levels” and “bosses,” so the final gamestate is going to be much more advantageous than the alternative
Quick question about the timeskipping, though...how old was Mico in 2020? Fuuko was 18, so she was born in 2002, and Ichico seems to have died pretty young, likely not long after the 1970s, so...when is Mico supposed to be born? I’m sure this won’t be as much of an issue as I’m making it seem and the dates just don’t line up the way I think they would, but I sure hope that Fuuko doesn’t SKIP HER FRIENDS BIRTH ENTIRELY
From 1975, Fuuko says that the next tragedy is 28 years away, putting it at 2003, which is odd to me because Yusai should already have gained Undraw in the 90s, if my math is right. To You, From Me vol. 101 came out in August 2020, so if we assume that each volume came out quarterly (approximately every 10 or 12 chapters), it would have needed to start at least 23 years prior, plus about 6 months to account for the time before the serialized chapters were collected, so probably January/February 1997. In ch. 48 we see Akira trek to Yusai’s dojo “a while” after his serialization started, so chances are good it’s within the first six months to a year, so almost definitely prior to 2000. Andy is seen leaving Yusai as soon as Akira gets there, and Andy is already familiar with Undraw in 2020, so she had to have already been Undraw pre-2003. All of this is to say that, unless Yusai didn’t have an Undraw related tragedy, hers should not be as late as 2001. I suppose Andy may be the one to prevent it, but I’m not sure if he would? I’m sure Tozuka has already thought it, but I’m having trouble lining it up with what we’ve been told
To try to goad Fuuko into stopping her timeskipping, Apocalypse presents Fuuko with Andy’s location as a reward for neutralizing Burn, which makes me wonder if Apocalypse has any control over the Quests/rewards or if he just saw what was next in the queue and thought it would work. We know that Burn would be a difficult task in and of itself on the basis that it originally took 6 Union members to capture, though being allowed to kill it might technically make the fight easier, especially with Gina who could suffocate its flames
This also brings up an extremely interesting support to my heaven theory: Sun is alright with losing Burn. Sun’s most notable combat ability is to ambiently burn anything within a certain range, which is why Burn was previously a “capture” Quest, not a kill, but now Sun is willing to lose the means by which they fight in Ragnarok? Either Burn’s loss would be compensated for by things like Heat (or Sun itself), or Sun actively wants to lose that ability, and I think it’s because Sun doesn’t want to have such a destructive passive ability in the final, perfect world. Sun may want to be able to safely walk the Earth without inadvertently destroying it, and the presence of Burn prevents that. Before, it was necessary to hold onto Burn for the sake of defeating the Union at Ragnarok, but now who’s to say that Ragnarok even functions the same way it always did before? It seems like, since the intention is to preserve this final world, the final Ragnarok can’t have the goal of destroying the Earth, unless whatever state the world is in just prior to Ragnarok is how it will be reformed in the post-101, Union-less world?
Anyway, Fuuko rejects Apocalypse’s ploy, stating that it’s not time for her to meet Andy yet, which is both very big of her as she’s putting the needs of the mission over her own desire to see the man she loves, and also incredibly obvious since Andy KNOWS EXACTLY WHERE TO FIND HER! She’s literally been sitting in the same spot for 25 years! He could walk in at any time like “hi honey, I’m home!” Why would knowing his location be any help to her at this juncture?? Stupid book
Finally, we come to 2000, and Fuuko is given just two missions: kill Autumn to get a third seat (again, not necessary because the Roundtable seats aren’t required for Ragnarok), and capture Unavoidable to get Artifact Remember, the thing that Fuuko has been waiting for. This is interesting to me for two reasons:, first, Remember SHOULD be in the church in Longing based on the previous Loop, so I have to assume that Remember’s location is different this time around despite the fact that other Artifacts don’t seem to have been shuffled around much if at all. Secondly, if Void is already Unavoidable in 2000, that means the next tragedy wasn’t in 2003, it was in god damn 2000!!! Void KILLED A MAN!!! He was a professional boxer and became Unavoidable at the moment that he went to punch his opponent, preventing his opponent from dodging and killing him! Why wasn’t that on your to-do-list, Fuuko???
I’m not sure if that was just an oversight on the author’s part or what, but I imagine that Fuuko is going to be preventing Void’s tragedy anyway. Honestly, I think it’d be pretty funny if Andy ends up being the one he fights, so it goes down the same way but no one actually dies this time. I suppose we’ll see next week
Void’s gloves have a really stylized symbol on them that resembles the font of the Union logo, and if you look closely, you may notice that it’s the letters of his name! The V is the centerpiece, with OID overlaid on top of it in such a way that the O and the D become symmetrical. It’s really fun to look at once you know, and reminds me of the bike that Nico gave Andy in ch. 98, which it just occurred to be says “UN AB,” which I’m willing to bet refers to the AB blood type since it ran on blood. I’m curious to see how everyone else’s names would be written in that style, though I’m not sure Tozuka wants to take the time to do that
The final thing I want to point out is Fuuko’s expressions over the course of this chapter. She had a pretty nice range of them, but the confident and manic smiles were easily the highlight, with the former having strong Anya Spy X Family vibes and the latter bearing a pretty strong resemblance to Andy’s consistent wild grin. It’s always fun seeing how Andy has influenced Fuuko, and visual cues like or her saying “wicked sick” to Feng’s threats last chapter really highlight their relationship
Overall, this week’s chapter was mostly a transition chapter where nothing much exciting actually happened, but it gave me so much to chew on I couldn’t possibly say I’m dissatisfied with it. It just goes to show that you don’t need high stakes action to engage an audience, you just need endearing characters with strong motivations that the audience enjoys being around. At the very least, that seems to be enough for me

Hockey au hockey au hockey au-
HOCKEY AU!! I hope anon wanted me to go into great detail on this because that's what I'm going to use this opportunity for X] here's some of my favorite parts of the au:
- the reason xigbar is the captain, not xemnas, is bc xem also kiiind of acts like a manager for the team even while being a goalie (I know that's not irl teams work but who cares)
- I don't have too many lines figured out in my head BUT xigbar/xion/saïx is a KILLER line that can get the puck down the ice super fast– they're usually called in for power plays along with roxas and axel. the main defensive pairing is, as you probably guessed, lexaeus and xaldin. they're part of the main penalty kill team, with demyx and luxord.
- larxene is usually the backup goalie to be used whenever xemnas isn't available (due to injury or otherwise). she has an awesome save percentage, but she will attack players indiscriminately, regardless of their team affiliation. she is known to send people to the hospital.
- saïx's shots on goal can get up to 160 mph because he goes a little berserk when shooting. nobody but axel, xemnas, and xigbar know that saïx was one of the best players in radiant garden's hockey team. he loves hockey so much. every time he gets in a fight xemnas usually has to intervene because he is NOT losing and neither zexion nor vexen can pull him off of whoever he is fighting.
- Did I mention they fight amongst themselves all the time because it is a literal miracle they haven't killed each other yet. demyx accidentally high sticked larxene once and she broke his nose. xigbar is known to use his gravity powers to root people to the ice (especially saïx bc despite being captain and alternate they butt heads all the time) so he can beat them up easier. axel will melt the ice under an opponents feet so they trip and fall. this is the tip of the iceberg
- all the other teams in the league hate them SOOO MUCH. the organization seekers have been kicked out of many major cities but they haven't been removed from the league because they're just that! good! at selling tickets. and playing hockey but also selling out arenas.
- the uniforms (and the team) are based off of the new york rangers (they ARE my favorite team, after all...)! specifically, I used mika zibanejad and chris kreider as models for both saïx and xigbar, and igor shesterkin for xemnas. the other members are either not based on anyone or modeled after multiple players (I think luxord might be based off a couple of Carolina Hurricane players, and axel off of the colorado avalanche right wings..?)
- I'm very inconsistent about drawing the logo but it's a purple heart outlined in white with a crack running from the left side, with a white bandage over the end. larxene's goalie stick says "killer" and xemnas' says "superior".
- they all go out to dinner after they win a game :) it is like one of the only times they are cordial with each other
- typical penalties: xemnas is prone to holding; xigbar gets slashing; lexaeus and xaldin usually get crosschecking calls; saïx racks up all minor penalties but mostly hooking and roughing; axel, demyx, AND luxord all get high sticking calls constantly; marluxia gets charging and boarding penalties all the time; larxene gets fighting, spearing, hooking, holding, etc, etc. xion and roxas barely get any penalties except slew footing and tripping. all of them garner unsportsmanlike conduct penalties to varying degrees.
this is so long SORRY LMAO also here's some bonus hockey doodles i never posted here. the berserker goalie was my sister's idea i think it would be funny if the org used lesser nobodies when they practiced

Thoughts from the night before the final:
I feel legitimately nauseous I am so nervous/stressed.
Obviously Barça are the favorites, etc etc, but I think it is worth noting that Lyon is just a completely different team than Chelsea. Lyon has played in a lot of really big games, and has won most of them. Hegerberg is not Sam Kerr.
The narrative goes both ways: Lyon desperately wants their throne back; Barcelona desperately wants revenge on the ones who humiliated them on the big stage. Lyon is a vexed, vengeful benefactor who wants what they think is owed to them; Barcelona believes their status means the debt has been paid.
I maintain that Malard is a handicap. If she scores the winning goal I will obviously text Aulas an apology, otherwise I stand firm in my convictions she is a liability. This is - most likely - going to be a very close game, and I have neither the patience nor the will to suffer through Malard attempting to score a goal of the tournament every time she shoots the ball.
I’m not convinced Bacha is fully fit. This will affect Lyon in two ways: (1) Bacha was matched up against Graham Hansen in the ICC game. Graham Hansen obviously has the height advantage but if Bacha isn’t able to sprint then she will have the speed advantage too. (2) Morroni is a really good LB but doesn’t have the same attacking tendencies as Bacha, which means Lyon will naturally be more defensive.
Players who have never played a UWCL calibre final before and therefore by their very nature are a question mark: Endler, Carpenter, Damaris, Malard. It’ll be interesting to see how they really cope with that kind of pressure.
The ref situation makes me uncomfortable for two reasons: (1) we know that Barcelona will blatantly dive for a penalty; (2) we know that the ref will give it. I just don’t trust Graham Hansen to drop to the floor like she had been shot by a sniper if she finds herself in front of Carpenter, for example.
Under appreciated relationship gone wrong: Hegerberg and Graham Hansen. They weren’t exactly on the best of terms before the final and Graham Hansen’s digs at Lyon isn’t exactly going to repair an already strained relationship.
Barcelona will get a lot of the possession, which Lyon hates. But the question is really whether Lyon can withstand the pressure. If Lyon can make it through the first 15-20 minutes without conceding, I think Barça will be the one who will start doubting themselves.
Lyon has played in a lot of big games, and some of those have been in front of hostile crowds. I’m not super convinced a pro-Barça crowd will mean that much to Lyon. They’ve just been through a lot over the years. Crowd size isn’t exactly something they lose sleep over.
Hegerberg torched Leon in 2019. I don’t think that Leon will make the same mistake this time. Leon isn’t the same player she was back then. But then again, neither is Hegerberg.
The narrative says that Barcelona has to win (convincingly?) to avenge the UWCL 2019 Final. But here’s the thing: time narratives can be rewritten.

Fortune Tiger Slots Game Review
The game has a simple control panel that features a Settings, Paytable, Bet +/-, Auto Play, Spin, and Balance buttons. The Spin button, when activated, rotates the reels in a clockwise direction. The Paytable and Bet +/- buttons change the game's bet size, while the Auto Play function sets a number of automatic spins to occur. If the player chooses to manually stop the spinning reels, they can do so by pressing the Stop button.
A player can also choose to enter the Bonus Round. In the bonus round, Vanna asks the player to guess a letter and earn an amount of money equal to that letter. The player can also win a jackpot. The jackpot amount increases if the player guesses correctly. The Bonus Round is available in all three rounds of the main game.
In the first round, the possible Wheel values are Bankrupt, Lose A Turn, Free Spin, $300, $400, $500, $750, and $1,000. In the second and third rounds, the possible Wheel values are $300, $400, $500, $700, $1000, and $2,000. If a player lands on Free Spin, they receive a chance to spin the Wheel again for zero points, but it must be surrendered at the end of the round if not used. In addition, Free Spin may be offered later in the same round if a penalty wedge is spun.
The Wheel's dollar values are shown in a monotype serif font. The prototype's Wheel layout had 22 wedges, but the game was released with 24 and a black "Super Jackpot!" wedge counterclockwise of the $1,000 space fortune tiger. A new-in-package copy sold on eBay in 2021 had the wedges colored red, presumably to no longer resemble the Bankrupt wedge from the show.
For people born under the Tiger sign, 2024 is a good year to focus on career. They can expect to get praise from their supervisors and managers for their good work. However, they should be wary of gossip and careless talk at workplaces because these can lead to trouble secretly.
Those who are married should be more considerate of their partner's needs. They should be patient and avoid arguments with their spouse. Singles under this zodiac sign are likely to meet charming opposite sexes at parties and other activities. But they should be careful not to fall for these charms because their relationship may suffer if they become too attached to them. Moreover, they must try to maintain their health by getting enough sleep. This way, they can keep themselves away from illnesses caused by stress and anxiety. In addition, they should also stay positive in their thoughts and actions. This will ensure that they can live a fulfilling life. For a peaceful life, people born under this zodiac should not forget to give thanks to their family and friends for all their support. They can also do charitable deeds to bring happiness to others.

Research - Themes
Tumblr media
The themes I find most interesting were "trickery", "item drops", "greed" and "profit". The themes of greed, trickery and item drops usually play a small part in a video games; like how in games like Cuphead, the player can walk behind some terrain in the level selector to find coins or sometimes a shortcut. Whereas the theme of profit is usually more essential in games such as Sid Meier's Civilization - where you can spend gold to get have active units, but if your empire doesn't make profit, it'll starve.
Illusions:
Tumblr media
Several games have some form of illusions in them, like the Dark Souls Trilogy, which have walls that may disappear when interacted with - often revealing hidden treasure to the player. Other games such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has illusion as a skill where both the player and the enemy can use it to cloak themselves in invisibility or deceive the minds of others. Another game with illusions is Super Liminal which is a game all about using perspective to solve puzzles. One of the illusions is that the player will come across a hallway with a giant pawn blocking their way, as the player approaches the pawn however; they realise that the pawn they were seeing was just a part of the floor and wall made to look like it were 3D.
Greed:
Tumblr media
A lot of games tend to punish the player for losing their senses to greed, like games such as Skyrim or Fallout; where the player may be enticed by a pile of gold, or a strong weapon where an enemy will ambush them or they'll trigger a trap of some sorts.
Item Drops:
Item Drops are seen through out a lot of games: like how a zombie in Minecraft will usually drop rotten flesh, or how a demon eye will usually drop lenses in Terraria. Although rare item drops are usually a whole lot more rewarding and give the player a feeling of excitement when they get one. Like how the same Minecraft zombie has a chance drop gold bars.
Chance:
Tumblr media
A lot of strategy games have chance based options or encounters, games like: Darkest Dungeon, Slay The Spire and Pokémon use chance to determine how easily the player might deal with a fight. There's a chance the player might miss all their attacks and lose and there's a chance the player might beat their opponent in the first few turns.
Economy:
Tumblr media
Most games will have their own economy, where the player can buy items with in-game money. In a few games the economy can even change due to a player's actions or just naturally: like Slime Rancher; where if the player gives the selling wall a lot of one type of plort, it will become less valuable for the next few days.
Necromancy:
Tumblr media
Necromancy is the practice of magic involving communication with the dead by summoning their spirits as apparitions. Mosaic dictates that practitioners of necromancy would receive the death penalty. They were connected by a belief in the manipulation of spiritual beings – especially demons – and magical practices. These practitioners were almost always literate and well educated.
Medieval practitioners believed they could accomplish three things with necromancy: will manipulation, illusions, and knowledge.
Poison:
Tumblr media
A poison is any chemical substance that is harmful or lethal to living organisms. Poisoning can be caused by excessive consumption of generally safe substances, as in the case of water intoxication.
Poison has been used as a method of murder, suicide and execution. It is also used in agriculture as a pesticide.
Magic:
Tumblr media
Magic was invoked in many kinds of rituals and to counteract evil omens. The ancient Mesopotamians believed that magic was the only viable defense against demons, ghosts, and evil sorcerers. They also used a ritual known as the Surpu, in which the caster of the spell would transfer the guilt for all their misdeeds onto various objects such as a strip of dates or an onion.
To defend themselves against the spirits of those they had wronged, they would leave offerings known as kispu in the tomb in hope of appeasing them. If that failed, they also sometimes took a figurine of the deceased and buried it in the ground, demanding for the gods to eradicate the spirit, or force it to leave the person alone.
I thought this was interesting because magic can be applicable in many games, either subtly or more intrusive - like a main mechanic.
This is related to how magic is used to manipulate the natural world, just as King Midas manipulated the natural world with his wish.
Mirrors:
Tumblr media
Mirrors are objects that reflects an image. The Greek in Classical Antiquity were familiar with the use of mirrors to concentrate light. Mirrors reflect an image to the observer. However, unlike a projected image on a screen, an image does not actually exist on the surface of the mirror. For example, when two people look at each other in a mirror, both see different images on the same surface.
Wrath:
Tumblr media
Also known as anger or rage, wrath is an intense emotional state of non-cooperation and aggression. Someone / something experiencing wrath may have an accelerated heart rate and high levels of adrenaline. Anger is not only natural but has a functioning value for survival. People and animals will often appear physically larger and be louder when angry to assert dominance over aggressors. Those affected by wrath suffer reduced cognitive ability and are more likely to make risky decisions.
I came to this idea as the story is about greed which is one of the 7 sins, just as wrath is.

Riot needs to step in before orgs like Evil Geniuses and The Guard ruin VALORANT
Tumblr media
In just two weeks, two different VALORANT teams that had each achieved their highest level of success for the year—achievements that, in all actuality, ought to have guaranteed their futures for at least the following year—had their futures thrown into the unknown by organisations that didn't want to continue supporting them. At the beginning of September, the players from The Guard found out on Twitter that their organization did not agree to the VCT Americas team participation agreement “after several months and rounds of communication.” To even have a chance to keep the spot they had earned by winning Ascension, the players have had to go out on their own and find a suitable organization to play for. And just yesterday, the reigning world champion players on Evil Geniuses were reportedly told that they would have to take a “significant pay cut” to stay on the team and were given the option (and responsibility) of seeking outside offers. Not only is this embarrassing for VALORANT as a whole, it’s potentially very damaging to the future of the professional ecosystem. As Ludwig so elegantly put it, “if being the best team in the fucking world doesn’t guarantee you job security what hope is there for esports?” If winning the big one doesn’t mean keeping your job, or at the very least getting paid the same next year, why would any aspiring pro player even consider VALORANT anymore? https://twitter.com/LudwigAhgren/status/1701381192409563353 Let’s address the freezing cold elephant in the room though; the esports winter. Organizations are looking to scale back as the amount of revenue teams are generating isn’t keeping up with the investments made, and the promises made about esports events competing with the likes of the Super Bowl could not be kept. The Guard made it clear back in February that it wanted out, but if you’re going to commit to employing players in Challengers, then backing out after you won should be met with harsher penalties. EG’s cheapness is inexcusable. We heard directly from coach Potter herself that EG’s roster was already considered one of the cheapest in the league. Between the largest chunk of prize pool money earned by any team this year, Champions bundle revenue, sponsorships, stipends from Riot, team skins on the way, and more, why do the players have to take a significant pay cut to stay after winning Champions? Per George Geddes, EG spent roughly $25,000 per main roster player this year. Not including the coaches or reserve players, that’s roughly $1.5 million a year just on the main roster players. Even if that’s not considered high relative to some other VCT Americas teams, it’s still a significant chunk of cash. But it is not the players’ fault that the organization set such a high salary bar, and no one in any line of work should accept less money to do the same job where they’ve already exceeded expectations. https://twitter.com/GeorgeCGed/status/1701608958514044932 But it’s not just about the players on The Guard and EG now, it’s about the next wave of players, and that’s why Riot needs to be involved. Riot and the team in VALORANT Esports have prided themselves on this path-to-pro system that theoretically rewards the most dedicated players; if you have the will and skill to go from Premier to a tier-one roster, you can supposedly do it. But what’s waiting for them? Nearly having your VCT spot taken away because the organization that picked them up wants to bail? Having to take a significant pay cut after the greatest achievement any VALORANT player could accomplish? Seeing what’s happening to today’s best players is likely to be extremely demotivating to players who have or had aspirations of becoming the best. If those players give up and play other games, the top tier of VALORANT suffers with the path-to-pro pipeline drying up. Some players are lucky to have supportive parents, but what happens when those parents warn others about letting their kids go pro? https://twitter.com/PapaC0M/status/1701375962141651444 I don’t claim to have the answer, but Riot, to its credit, has shown the ability to do what’s right for the players, even if it doesn’t necessarily get it right the first time. Perhaps it’s time to sit at the table with players and teams about a collective bargaining agreement, one that is sustainable and ideal for both themselves, players, and teams. But I said this after the initial announcement about The Guard, and I’ll say it again here: If the whole point of this path-to-pro system is to reward the players who grind their way to the top, why are they always the least protected in these kinds of situations? [ad_1] Simply six months after the flame was once doused in Tokyo, the Olympics get underway again on Feb. 4 in Beijing (and 50 miles north in Yanqing and 100 miles north of that during Zhangjiakou).Right here’s a have a look at each and every game that will probably be contested on the Video games in China.• • • • • • • • • • •11 gold medals awardedAlpine SnowboardingMikaela Shiffrin, who received a gold medal in 2014 and 2018, will go for a third, or perhaps extra. She remains to be on the most sensible of her recreation, and in November she tied the career record for Global Cup wins in one self-discipline, slalom. Petra Vlhova of Slovakia and Lara Intestine-Behrami and Michelle Gisin of Switzerland will probably be challengers as smartly.Within the males’s occasions, Alexis Pinturault of France has a silver and two bronzes on the Video games, however will probably be in search of gold No. 1 because the reigning Global Cup general champion. The disciplines come with downhill, the quickest tournament; super-G, with extra turns added; massive slalom, nonetheless extra turns; and slalom, the slowest and maximum technical tournament. There may be a blended tournament (downhill and slalom) and a mixed-gender staff slalom tournament.• • • • • • • • • • •11 goldsBiathlonTake the staying power take a look at of cross-country snowboarding and shake it up each and every few kilometers by way of having athletes prevent to shoot rifles at objectives. Too many misses, and skiers must take a penalty lap. Germany, France, Sweden and Norway will have to dominate the medals.Becoming a member of the four-man, two-man and two-woman occasions is a race for only one: ladies’s monobob. The primary global champion was once topped this 12 months: Kaillie Humphries, a two-time Olympic gold medalist for Canada now representing america. However Humphries is still awaiting U.S. citizenship to compete in Beijing.Humphries may be the arena champion within the two-woman bob, with Lolo Jones as her pusher.• • • • • • • • • • • •12 GoldsMove-Nation SnowboardingNorway dominates this game, however america claimed its first gold medal in 2018 when Jessie Diggins and Kikkan Randall won the sprint relay. Diggins will probably be again in 2022. The respected Norwegian Marit Bjorgen has retired from Olympic festival after profitable 8 gold medals over 3 Video games. For plenty of American citizens, who appear to include the granite rocks and brooms of curling each and every 4 years, a spotlight of the 2018 Video games was once the U.S. males, led by way of John Shuster, streaking to the gold medal after a quite shaky 5-4 get started. The Swedish males and Swiss ladies had been probably the most a success since then, and Canada is at all times a contender. The deep Russian staff swept the highest 3 spots within the ladies’s festival on the final global championships, with now 17-year-old Anna Shcherbakova on most sensible. The American Nathan Chen skated a horrible brief program four years ago that knocked him out of competition. However he won his third straight gold medal on the worlds this 12 months, and a possible duel with Yuzuru Hanyu of Japan, the 2014 and 2018 Olympic champion, generally is a spotlight of the Video games.Within the pairs tournament, Sui Wenjing and Han Cong may convey the gold to the host country. In ice dance, Victoria Sinitsina and Nikita Katsalapov of Russia are the arena champions.• • • • • • • • • • • • •13 goldsFreestyle SnowboardingThere are six disciplines. Within the aerials and the brand new large air tournament, skiers launch themselves off a ramp and carry out flips and spins. In halfpipe, they carry out in a U-shaped bowl, and in slopestyle, they ski down a path with rails and jumps. In moguls, they ski over a bumpy path and are judged on turns, jumps and pace. The one tournament this is timed as an alternative of judged is ski pass, wherein skiers race in opposition to one every other in teams of 4.Canada received 4 gold medals on the final Video games; no different country had a couple of.
That staff is led by way of the moguls famous person Mikael Kingsbury, the protecting Olympic champion. After lacking out in 2018, N.H.L. players will be back on the Video games, assuring a star-laden box. America (Patrick Kane and Auston Matthews), Canada (Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid) and Sweden (Nicklas Backstrom and Victor Hedman) might be the most powerful groups on paper.China can be taking part within the males’s tournament, in spite of concerns that the team is not nearly good enough to be aggressive.Within the ladies’s tournament, Canada and america have received all six gold medals because the game was once added, and 5 of the six silvers. Finland, Russia and possibly Switzerland are prone to vie for the bronze.• • • •4 goldsLugeGermans have received 34 of 48 gold medals on this game over time, together with seven of the final 8.In case you'll’t take into accout, luge is the feet-first sledding race; skeleton is headfirst. To win in Nordic blended, athletes should be nice at two very other occasions: cross-country snowboarding and ski leaping. After years of Norwegian domination, Germany received all 3 gold medals on the final Video games.Nordic blended is the only Olympic sport without a women’s event, however that can trade in 2026.And right here’s the headfirst sledding tournament. America does a lot better right here, profitable 3 of the 12 golds awarded up to now. (The American citizens have by no means received luge gold.) Germany, Austria and Russia are the international locations to observe this 12 months. This can be a game that beats athletes up, because of the G-forces and vibrations damn the sledders.Males leap in “standard hill” and “huge hill” competitions, whilst feminine jumpers, who joined the Video games handiest in 2018, are restricted to standard hill. There may be a mixed-gender staff festival being added this 12 months. Some have stated that the highest of the ski leaping tower, the place athletes wait sooner than the exhilarating travel down, is the quietest spot at the Games.• • • • • • • • • • •11 goldsSkiingA number of of the occasions are the similar as in freestyle snowboarding: large air, halfpipe, slopestyle and snowboard pass (relatively than ski pass). There may be a head-to-head massive slalom festival. Some of the stars of the 2018 festival, the American halfpipe gold medalist Chloe Kim, will probably be again to shield her identify, with an look on “The Masked Singer” underneath her belt. The 3-time gold medalist Shaun White plans to be again as smartly at age 35.• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •23 goldsSpeedskatingLengthy-track speedskating, wherein athletes in most cases race two at a time in opposition to the clock, is ruled by way of the Dutch. They received seven of 14 gold medals in 2018 and 8 of 12 in 2014. America, at the back of the arena champions Joey Mantia and Brittany Bowe, will probably be in search of a primary gold medal since 2010.Short-track, with more than one skaters racing, and on occasion colliding, over a good path, supplied China with its handiest gold of the 2018 Video games. South Korea can be a big contender. Regardless that america alternatives up medals right here and there, it has no longer received a gold since Apolo Ohno did in 2006 and 2002. Got a slugging, proxy camping legion, me and one other dc'd. They can go screw themselves, I didn't get to do anything that match. :/ So sick of how most people play, it's not fun and they make this game so unfun for others. :/ Also hate how slow a 30min dc penalty timer goes down, almost 2 days of no dc'ing and it's still at 5 mins and not 2. D: Goes up super fast but takes 2-3 days to go down, like seriously?! They need to work on the dc penalty timer or remove it altogether. :/
