To keep from being eaten by a modern-day witch (Deborah Harry), a young paperboy weaves three twisted stories to distract her. In “Lot 249,” a vengeful college student (Steve Buscemi) resuscitates an evil mummy to teach unsuspecting student bodies (Julianne Moore, Christian Slater) a lesson in terror. Then, “Cat From Hell” is a furry black feline who cannot be killed… he may have nine lives, but those who cross his path are not so lucky. Finally, in “Lover’s Vow,” a stone gargoyle comes to life to commit murder.

Nope: Jordan Peele’s Weirder Western
I have been sitting on this review for a long while, it was originally meant for HorrOrigins.com (it might end up there anyway), but I wanted to go ahead and publish it. One of my faves from the decade thus far.
Few filmmakers of the modern era have as quickly and so warmly become household names quite like Jordan Peele. While seemingly more common nowadays, it is still rare, especially in horror cinema. It would be one thing were his timely horrific thrillers on race and class were only critical darlings, but they have also become financial successes and popular with audiences. Nevertheless, Peele, with…

Research: Zombies!!!
Here is my research into Zombies
Tumblr media
An undead reanimated corpse that has cannibalistic intentions. Commonly found in Horror and fantasy, these are pop culture monsters that go back to 1968′s Night of the living dead by Geroge A. Romero.  The idea comes from Haitian folklore, where voodoo is used to bring back the dead. Modern zombies do not involve magic but instead of a scientific virus/ disease from scientific disaster.
The first videogame to introduce zombies was Entombed released on the Atari 2600 in 1982. Since then, it is more popularized by Resident evil and the house of the dead. This spawned low budget Asian zombie films which repopularised zombies in western countries, including 28 days later (2002), dawn of the dead remake (2004) and Shaun of the dead (2004). In the 2000 and 2010s, the bond of zombie and romance became large with Warm bodies (2013) and corpse’s bride (2005).

Storie macabre, ovviamente. Ma andiamo con ordine...    leggi

Now this is a great trailer! I consider Martin to be one of the scariest movies I’ve ever seen and it baffles my mind how little-talked about it is. It’s the Taxi Driver of vampire movies, a total subversion of vampiric glamor. I don’t find Dracula that frightening, but Martin genuinely terrifies me, probably because he initially seems so normal and unassuming. The trailer highlights the fact that this movie is a character study by having Martin introduce himself and his methods of obtaining blood. The editing is superb: well-chosen shots that rush by at a good pace, giving you a feel for how eerie and off-the-wall this is going to be.
But yeah, if you haven’t seen the movie, you totally should!

Gervonta Davis vs. Isaac Cruz fight start time: Live stream, PPV price, how to watch, Showtime Boxing
With the lightweight division in an uproar after Geroge Kambosos Jr.'s upset of Teofimo Lopez to capture three world championships, Gervonta "Tank" Davis is looking to climb closer to a world title opportunity at 135 pounds. That journey continues Sunday night on Showtime pay-per-view when Davis takes on Isaac Cruz.
Cruz stepped into the fight one month out when Davis' original opponent, Rolando Romero, was forced to withdraw from the fight after a flurry of sexual assault allegations. What fans received in the wake of Romero's withdrawal is a far better fight on paper, with Cruz's relentless pressure meeting Davis' shocking power in a fight guaranteed to produce fireworks. ซื้อฟรีสปิน

Dawn of the Dead was the first time Jeff ever saws effects as graphic as those featured in the film and he admits he got a little nauseous. Watching the film now, he’s impressed by Romero’s depiction of the social conditions of the time and how relevant it still is today. During his first viewing of Dawn of the Dead, Bill saw people run from the theater during the exploding head scene early in the film and he loved the effect used when a male zombie bites a woman’s shoulder. In his view, Dawn of the Dead is more influential in creating the zombie movie as we know it today than any other film. Chad was already a fan of Night of the Living Dead (1968) when the radio spot for Dawn of the Dead made a big impression while scaring the crap out of him. He had never seen anything like the zombie carnage he’d seen in Dawn of the Dead and it became one of his top ten favorite horror movies. The creepiness of the empty mall in the center section of Dawn of the Dead pulled Doc in and he is fascinated with the character development that takes place during that section.
The 70s Grue Crew gives a big thank you to all of the Grue Believers who voted in the poll that chose Dawn of the Dead for this episode.
