When we say institutional racism we mean it. In middle school, they upheld the same amount of security requirements to enter the building as a courthouse. They confiscated candy from you like it was contraband. Couldn't have snacks or juice unless it was part of a lunchable. Now as an adult in a different income bracket and enviroment, it's so easy to see the criminalization of Black bodies and poor people super early on in life. THIS is why we are adamant about educating our own community. THIS is why we unapologetically prioritize putting together opportunities and sharing information that will shift the narrative and sustainably move us away from that state of reality ever having to exist again. It took me 30 years to finally not feel like I have to defend myself for something wrong done by someone else Black or condemn the person for their actions. Our previous and Some of our current generations are lost. Because they been fucken #brainwash to believe America is their savior. How else were they able to come to America and leave their “3rd world country” oh that’s right they weren’t informed that their country was #bombed or at #war by the cause of America in 1969-1970 (Cambodia) 1965-1968 (Vietnam’s) 1964- 1973 (Laos) 1939-45 (Japan) 1899-1902 (Philippines) the list goes on! This isn’t fake fucken news guys!!! This is fucken history! But the #Asiancommunity have created this image as America being the savior of their lives by the disposal of our black brother and sisters who have stood in the front line of all of this way before we could’ve reap all the benefits of this great life we have. So yes I am angry at those who sit silent, because our black brothers and sisters have been fighting for us whether you know it or not since the beginning of time, and when any of you turn the other cheek you are also the problem. You’re mad because “they trashed your shop” or you struggled just like the black community struggled... etc first off, in America, no other race has struggled more! I have a question.. Tell me my ASIAN American people, if you saw your kind being slaughtered for over 200+ years how would you feel? How would it make you feel if there was always a target on your back? And not for 5 years but For centuries! You have no fucken idea how long my brothers and sisters have been fighting because you have NEVER experience it.
