HEY Y’ALL, I am thinking once again about the genderfluidity of Kazuki from Buddy Daddies. He’s a father and a mother, a papa and a mama, to the sweetest little girl named Miri. Canonically, Kazuki goes by “papa” but he also refers to himself as a mother / mama and groups himself with other moms:
[First Image ID: Screenshot from Buddy Daddies anime in which Kazuki is wearing an apron and kneeling on the living room floor folding a pile of laundry into three neat piles. The subtitles read “Of course, the other mothers all say the same about their kids”. End ID]
[Second Image ID: Youtube comment from a user named lemon, which features an English translation from one of the Buddy Daddies previews, dialogue between Kazuki and another character named Kyuutaro. Kazuki’s translated dialogue reads “I really understand how the other moms feel right now...”; Kyuutaro’s dialogue reads “Other moms?” End ID.]
Also, the producers, director, and character designer of Buddy Daddies have all emphasized that Kazuki is a mother figure in the family dynamic. Kazuki is clearly comfortable with either masculine or feminine terms, so this fuels the genderfluid headcanon. I love thinking about this character as genderfluid.
"mike wheeler is genderfluid" i say into the mic. the audience boos and as i begin to walk off the stage, head hanging low from embarrassment, i hear a voice. "no," it says "they are right". suprised, i turn around and see mike wheeler herself
Ok embarrassing thing about me: so this was when Terry Bogard had just been announced as a dlc fighter for super smash brothers ultimate. There was a rumor that his female design was going to be part of his alternate color palettes (that didn’t come true but there are characters that there are characters who have a male and female version that are both playable than I’m going to say that they were wrong for thinking that.) anyways since I had no idea what fatal fury/art of fighting/the king of fighters or any sort of weird spin offs. I wasn’t familiar of where exactly this whole female Terry thing came from exactly. So I kinda ended up being convinced that Terry Bogard was a genderfluid icon. (And if he is then good for them I guess.)
