Oh my gosh! What would Aemond’s reaction be at the battle of the gods eye after hearing Daemon confess that he spread the rumors about his late wife and child??? Like maybe Daemon says “a son for son/babe” again. Or something..
I think he’d be pissed. I also think it would be demoralizing. Like i said, I headcanon him as being pretty lost when it comes to his feelings or anything that is not analytic/pragmatic. But at the same time he clearly thinks he’s smarter than he is so this would be a blow to the system in many way.
He’d feel really fucking stupid because he has a wife that loved him, and a child that he never got to meet. It truly would turn him off the prospect of anyone else. If he actually made it out of that, I think the guilt would literally eat him alive

The ask i got before this mentioned daemon mentioning it at the battle Above the Gods Eye. I think that’s an interesting choice simply bc Aemond’s [redacted] is so symbolic, and honestly cool as hell. I think him finding out right before is so tragic and very in character for him lmao.
But I do also like the idea of him finding out before all of that. Maybe right before he comes Prince Regent. So he’s dealing with grief of that (bc he never got over her), everything that’s happened with his family, what happened to Aegon to get to this place, and now he has to deal with getting the thing he “wanted”. He takes that out those feelings the riverlands i guess lmao :/
