I recently had the honor of working with @deconreconstruction through SiIvaGunner! In addition to the music for the Friday Night Funkin' rip that premiered on their charity stream, I also made the announcement post and its art for an upcoming SECRET VAST ERROR PROJECT. Augh so over on twitter and in the official vast error discord, people have shown interest in my evil ellsee/elleon au so i thought id make a post about it!! For the sake of this post, its more of a tldr/ref post about the au!! ^^

In essence, my au is essentially what if Ellsee tried to do an essential ritual midgame with the corrupted version of her book and it went Horribly Wrong(tm) and got her corrupted by Gaiaeon?

Thus creating: Elleon

WHO THE FUCK IS ELLEON?

Elleon is the result of that ritual gone wrong. She is essentially Ellsee, but corrupted by the Naught Father but with insane powers. His corruption is NOT a possesion; more like an infection. Her biggest changes is in behavior and appearance- at the end of the day, they're still Ellsee.

Elleon cannot use her staff; it was made for followers for Khepharia, so when a being corrupted by Gaiaeon tries to use it, the staff renders itself unusable.

The corruption gives her powers similar to the Gaiaeon, the most distinct being the power to influence, but not directly take control of a person. While under the Naught Father's influence, Ellsee’s frustrations are heightened, her impulse control is frighteningly low, and they're much more likely to act on their intrusive thoughts. Think of Gaiaeon's corruption as a parallel to Grimdark, but more fucked up looking. Elleon is completely unaware of her power to influence and completely thinks she's just more persuasive than previously thought.

Elleon is extremely bitter about all of the misfortunes they've endured, from Murrit's various murder attempts to Arcjec's amnesia to Occeus ignoring them, anything bad that's happened to them is all the more reason to go apeshit. Everyone who has hurt her WILL pay the price, and so will anyone who stands in her way- especially Murrit.

NO ONE GETS TORMENTED MORE THAN MURRIT HOLY SHIT. This is because her crime is by far the worse than the others. At somepoint, he attempts to kill Elleon again and all it does is piss them off bc yk. God Powers. It doesnt work.

Thus, the cast is divided- those Elleon is able to get on her side via Gaiaeon's influence (think spreading the infection, but to a much lesser extent), and those on Murrit's side, who wants to stop her and save their session. Those under Gaiaeon's influence are much less tolerant of those who have wronged them, so who better to convert to her side first and become her partner in crime than Calder Kerian.

Team Elleon: calder, dismas, albion, eventually sova and serpaz

Team Murrit: laivan, occeus, jentha, taz, arcjec

Team murrit largely spends time trying to get in contact with Khepharia (occeus+laivan), and jentha getting her radiation powers back in hopes to even out power. It doesn't work.

Important Note: those under Gaiaeon's influence via Elleon do not have powers nor any physical changes. They do, however, have a dark green haze over their pupils. This is moreso for artistic purposes to make it more clear who is and isn't under Gaiaeon's influence.

Calder and Elleon enter a moiraillegiance, becoming the best worst evil duo ever... until Elleon burns down his planet and he realizes this isn't what he wanted.

Calder in this AU is exhausted beyond belief from the pressures of his everyday life and wants it to end. When Elleon approaches Calder, they're on a cliff overlooking the Depths (angst writers, you're seen and Heard here). Elleon promises to make things better for the both of them and get his revenge. Because his planet is a hiding spot that Gaiaeon can't see and by extension, Elleon is weaker there, so she burns it down to give her opposers nowhere to hide. This act is Calder's breaking point, causing him to realize this isn't what he wants for anyone, let alone them, thus causing him to switch sides and help take her down.

Ultimately, the group who takes Elleon down is Arcjec, Occeus, and Calder, potentially Taz too but I don't have strong enough opinions on pitch Tazsee to include that canon ship. They play into Ellsee's true desires (occeus paying her attention, reconnecting with arcjec, etc), and with the help of Void Powers, get them back to normal. She does get knocked unconscious though from how much Elleon took out of her and is scarred to shit (ellsee 🤝 hunter: getting scarred to shit by evil thing)

For Calder angst likers, Calder does end up getting the blame for like. Most of Elleon's bs and saying the ritual went wrong because he was the last one who spoke to her before the ritual. (He told her to make the right decision as a form of encouragement bc in the situation, the ritual WAS essential but Ellsee was having doubts. Neither had anyway of knowing this would happen.) Ellsee clears his name when she wakes up and finds him on the same cliff as Elleon met him on and I'm leaving it up to yall whether or not she makes it in time ;] (personally, i love happily ever afters just as much as a destating loss, BUT. since calder is a cc of mine i lean fake out, looks too late, but he's actually fine and calsee win!)

arcjec being a extroverted kid who grew up into a isolated ahedonic adult is very relatable as a person on the schizospec it didnt occur to me to think much of it, so him being cursed by gaiaeon is very funny to me. yeag kid. thats basically how it works in real life too.

oh yeah someone in the ve discord (and by that i mean one of the writers) pointed out that what i noticed about probabilities and how those tied into the cult's plans was something no one else had ever connected before. so i'll post about it here too

in this conversation, an alternate murrit from a probability that reaches the end of the game and fails to defeat gaiaeon exposits to laivan a lot about how probabilities work, defining them as separate in concept to alternate timelines as seen in homestuck:

as a time player at the end of their rope, led astray under the wing of renowned probability expert mimesis (presumably for this exact conversation to happen), alt!murrit has the fullest possible grasp on how time as an aspect functions. probabilities are created from all what-ifs founded upon things that aren't done in the true timeline, ones that only make sense up until an end point where they start to fall apart, at which point logic flies out the window — a trait that makes this conversation possible to begin with.

at the end of all probabilities, they are destroyed by gaiaeon to prevent them from having any effect on the true timeline, such as the true murrit benefiting from murrits that shouldn't even exist, aka, stealing time from alternate murrits, which is what will end up happening anyway should laivan relay any of this to the true murrit.

but, more related to my point here is that the harbingers of the alpocalypse claim to be capable of divining the future through their time alchemist: the leader himself, weird al. they see endless possible futures where the only thing left is a blank slate — their entire end goal.

the harbingers will not stop until there is nothing left, and they take the fact that all probabilities end in naught as a sign that such an end is definitively inevitable (alternatively, Doom). but since they're not time players, they have no way of realizing that this being how all probabilities end is simply a property of probabilities, a property brought about by gaiaeon himself (alternatively, Void). they are dealing in the wrong aspect.

thus, when it comes down to it, the entire basis of their goal is bunk. in other words:

insanity.

Weird Alchemist vs the Condesse cage match Friday noght

Who will win?

Honestly this is a really hard one. Both are kind of overpowered in different ways, The Condesce has, of course, the psionic abilities of all the ancestors (Animal Communion, Mind Manipulation, Giant Fuckoff Death Lasers and Telekinetic Power on the scale that she's capable of moving entire planets). Meanwhile Weird Al the near limitless abilities of both time AND space alchemy. We haven't seen too much of his time powers just yet, but I would not be fucking surprised if he's powerful enough to Stop Time Entirely for a few seconds, considering the utilization of The World's Time stop sfx from JJBA Part 3 in the song Bite The Hand That Feeds You. It's hard to say exactly who could come out on the matter of their Stupid Fucking Overpowered Abilities because there's so many factors at play. So let's go to their physical prowess for now and jump back to that later. This is where we have a more definitive answer to who may come out on top, completely disregarding their powers. Feferi, The Condesce's descendant, is capable of hoisting an entire whale down into the depths of the ocean to feed Gl'bgolyb. This is a considerable feat and, honestly, considering The Condesce is Much, Much older than Feferi, I would assume that she's able to do that and much more. Weird Al, meanwhile, is, in Snowbound Blood, shown to duel with Secily and, while his strength is most certainly Superhuman being able to shatter her wrist and completely sever an arm from her, I don't think it can really be put on the same level as Fuchsia Bloods, no matter how strong Secily was. One point to The Condesce. Metanarrative-wise, I think I'd have to give a point to Weird Al. He's kind of an unbelievably unhinged and threatening eventual obstacle for The Main Characters, in a way that The Condesce just kind of isn't? Like. Yeah. She's a Final Boss but she's also an underling. While you could argue that Weird Al is also an underling to Gaiaeon like The Condesce is to Lord English, Weird Al has more free will. He comes and goes and does as he pleases, without a doubt owing to his Space and Time capabilities, while The Condesce, with Life as her emanant aspect, is only really exhibited through her incredibly long lifespan and penchant for Bloodthirst. Point to Weird Al. Now allow us to circle back to Powers and how everything discussed influences them. I do not think Weird Al truly has the ability to harm The Condesce as much as he can with regular Vast Error trolls. They are more human-like in capabilities than the Homestuck trolls, and ESPECIALLY The Condesce. It took 3 superpowered teenagers and One Undead Troll near the height of their combat capabilities to take her down, and while Vast Error is nowhere near done yet, I don't think Weird Al's battle is going to involve as much power bullshit and Fraymotifs and Actually Insane Shit as it did to take down The Condesce. Who knows. Maybe I'm completely off base and Weird Al's eventual showdown with part of the main 12 will be 10x more insane than The Condesce's section of [S] Collide. We'll just have to wait and see. For now, though, I'm giving this final point to The Condesce.

its 3 am

Way more depressing than i anticipated, honestly. Not that dark stories are a bad thing, I just assumed sbb was going to follow classic tragedy rules. But secily dies at no fault of her own, shes just physically overpowered. I mean she did doom herself by continuing the mission, I guess. I actually preferred the alt!secily ending where she goes after aumtzi instead of saving necron and ends up being absorbed by gaiaeon. Giving everything she had in the belief that it would serve a greater purpose was her “tragic flaw” and i feel like this ending portrayed that better. Even though its supposed to be an hyperthetical secily who is technically not secily anymore. It was also a nice tie in to the greater story. I KNOW THERES ONE MORE VOLUME AND AN EPILOGUE LEFT but ehhhhh whats even going to happen. Secily is super dead. Which bums me out because I was expecting a closer look at Secily’s relationship with Ahlina. There’s no way the Secily that Ahlina knew is going to be the same Secily that’s gonna meet her in the afterlife. So when that line popped up thats like “secily can finally rest w her wife in the afterlife :)” i was like. theres no way. I thought the fact that Ahlina was barely a character was intentional. Like despite her perfect recall, pain and grief has warped Secily’s judgement to the point where she worships Ahlina as a god. I was expecting the story to mention SOMETHING about that! And maybe it will actually fingers crossed.
