asking royal simblr: show us your favorite IRL tiara and then your favorite *sims* tiara!!!
So... my favorite irl tiara is something that technically wouldn't be considered a tiara, but its just so pretty I have to share.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Anna Pavlova, a prima ballerina from Russia. The kokoshnik she is weaing is one of my favorite kokoshnik pieces, especially the pearl flowers. It is just so intricate.
My favorite sims tiara is tied between these two
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I love the shapes and the colors of the gems. So pretty!

How does David feel being THE silver fox of Europesim 👉👈
wait...David's THE silver fox of Europesim....omg 😂
Tumblr media
He honestly, doesn't think much of it. He's more concerned that he's the old man of europesim considering the other monarchs are young enough to be his children! He remembers meeting toddler Louis for the first time and Eloise could've been his daughter-in-law. The only person's opinion he cares about is Katalina...and right now, she is PISSED at him.

Which of your "secondary" characters are your favorite, and why?
I'll always have a soft spot for Kelly, because I love her independent streak. She's self-reliant in the extreme, and I like her because she's a great foil for some of the other women in the story. She is uniquely self-possessed and uniquely aware of the pitfalls of existing in the public eye as a woman in the royal family, and she didn't want that for herself. Her decision to leave the country, start over in Aducia, and have her baby by herself without a formal support network was insane, but it's something few other characters in the story would be brave enough to do. She's a bit of an enigma, but I honestly love that for her.
Theo is an eternal fave, one of my best girls. She's the kind of person I really respect and admire IRL, based both on people I know and famous people I admire. She is another uniquely self-possessed character, even though she's a bit more directionless and indecisive than Kelly. I love that she's the kind of person who does not tolerate disrespect -- I need some of that energy in my life!
I love Mary because she's an absolute freak and we have only just scratched the surface with her ❤️
Thanks for the ask!

Asking Simblr: What's your tiara lore?
Oooooohh!
When royal ladies turn 18 and come of age they get an adulthood tiara. This is the tiara they wear until getting married and gaining their "own" personal tiara.
Adulthood tiaras are circulated though members but personal tiaras only go back into circulation after their current owners death
If a member of the royal family is non-binary (like Ben!) they get to choose whether they want to wear a tiara or not. So technically Charleston could have a masculine representing sim wearing a tiara!
If the current monarch is a king he’ll only wear a crown during the coronation (and following jubilees), their wedding and portraits. Queens or non-binary monarchs however wear tiaras for most royal events.
Thank you for asking! This was fun to think about.

What's the hardest part of writing for you? o.O
Hello!
The hardest part of writing for me is just that- writing. When you’re running multiple storylines it’s hard to give all of them the perfect amount of detail they need (not too much, not too little). Then the timelines as well (collabs don’t make this any easier too).
And though it’s not known to anyone who sees my posts, sometimes my storylines change 10 times before I decide on the final one.
For example, Simon Vitali almost did not happen. Like literally, the idea to have him show up, have an affair with Maria, fall in love with her and then marry her after plotting Ferdinand’s “death” was not part of my original plan. He wasn’t supposed to exist at all.
All aspects of writing are hard in their own way but in the end it’s worth it.
Thank you for the ask! ❤️

Have you got a certain event or photo of your story that you absolutely love or think about a lot?
Omfg- YES !!!! Excuse me while I speak way too much:
Tumblr media
This shot from Act One, Scene One was really the beginning of my cinematic style. I still love it and have always wanted to make the look canonical in some event or engagement somewhere, but the whole point was it being, "so not Vivi."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two shots, from Viviana I's Ruby Jubilee was supposed to note the comparison of Vivi's audience (close family, film crew, isolated) to Eloise's (most members of the extended Royal Family, heavy foreign royal presence, film crew AND press). I'm not sure if the message came across for anyone else, but I'm very fond of them.
Tumblr media
Also from Viviana I's Ruby Jubilee was this shot of Arnaut @nexility-sims and Vivi happily taking a selfie- which is just SO fecking funny to me, because we've established that there is deep tension between the sisters (aka Vivi and HIS WIFE), to the point wherein Lorri would not attend the private event in Vivi's honor. My headcanon is that Vivi was mildly uncomfortable with his hand on her shoulder and Arnaut saw (and took) the opportunity to make a goof.
Tumblr media
During @officalroyalsofpierreland 's state visit to the Ionian Union I got to showcase a lot of the lore I had builtup, but hadn't shared at that point: Tiara and Uniform Lore were the main ideas I wanted to present and I got to do that in a Royal Entrance. It may not be a big deal to Literally Anyone Else, but I always find protocol during state events so fascinating. Here's an article on state events involving royalty if anyone is interested.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Act Two changed SO much behind the scenes, but I was so incredibly dedicated to keeping the concert scene. The shots were beautiful and showcased me in the beginning stages of learning to edit my screenies. It was also incredibly important for Raheem's arc; they were engaged quickly, and this scene confirmed in his mind that he found someone who loves him for who he is, this was confirmation that he could be just a ken.
Tumblr media
Adrienne visiting a royal watcher's blog and then wanting to meet her in person is forever funny to me. I'm also just- really proud of the page she's on still.
Tumblr media
Viola and Raheem's wedding was very hard for me to shoot, but it paid tf off !!!! I'm still in love with absolutely every detail. The aesthetics were aesthetic-ing.
Tumblr media
Raheem going with Elle to say goodbye to their Grandma will always be my favorite scene of Act Three. It was very personal for me. And- also, them crying and being vunerable after this shot showed personal growth for birth parties beyond belief.
Tumblr media
Last, but certainly not least, this is my favorite shot from last post. I shot it forever ago at this point and I just- I loved and still love it for Reasons. @empiredesimparte

What is the hardest part of writing for you? o.O
Hi, love, what a great question!
I would say I can split this answer into two parts hahahahahahaha. On a personal level it is clearly perfectionism. I have spent my whole life not knowing how to manage it and now was not going to be the moment, but I think that little by little and thanks to the fact that I like what I do I am improving. This implies that many times when writing I discard plots or scenes that could have fit but they gave me so much cringe that I deleted them completely. And in terms of writing alone, I think my biggest problem is when it comes to putting my idea on paper and then in images. I have a lot of imagination but sometimes it is difficult for me to be able to capture it in a cool way that is engaging and worthwhile. Oh! also, the change from Spanish to English doesn't seem difficult at all speaking, but when it's writing it becomes a bit complicated, bilingualism problems, I guess hahahahahaha.

Pouring one out for the longest reigning simblr monarch, F
Indeed! 3 years of reign IRL, 22 years in the chronology of the Francesim (which is a record for a Napoléon!). Let's hope that the future Emperor knows how to make the empire popular, and reigns even longer!
⚜ R.I.P Charles Napoléon Simparte, Emperor Napoléon IV ⚜

Here's a little link to my blog archives if you ever want to take a look at my first 3 years on Tumblr
Details of the imperial funeral will be given soon, the new Emperor has not yet decided how it will take place! The next post talks about this... :)

okay, okay, I love this ask game. 4, 14, 19, and 43 for your fave!
Hi thank you for asking, these questions are a challenge and I think for you my dear, you're gonna a mix answers.
#4 Has your character ever witnessed something that fundamentally changed them? If so, does anyone else know? Three deaths have fundamentally changed Hamish. The first death, his brother's meant he was no longer the spare. He was now heir to the throne and he wasn't prepared for it and there was nothing he could do about it. Then there was his father's death, it came quick and unexpected. He was barely learning the ropes of being heir, now he had to be the head of the household and now, he's also the king but he has his wife. Isobel was his greenlight, his soulmate, really truly his everything. So when she's gets sick, he felt powerless and when she died something died in him too. He gets a little colder and more detached, buried himself in work trying to avoid feeling grief or really an negative emotion. He isn't really as warm as he once was, he's more aloof and just different. His family can see a change but to the people he seems like a strong and capable leader. In the end, it doesn't necessarily matter how he feels or how he's changed if he's doing a good job. Right?
#14 Does your character remember names or faces easier? Hamish is really good about remember faces. Names are always on the tip of his tongue but as long as he can recall your face he can keep up an entire conversations without ever needing to utter your name.
#19 What is your character’s biggest relationship flaw? Has this flaw destroyed relationships for them before? Macsen is inherently selfish and entitled, he spent his entire life being handed everything he could want on a silver platter or rather gold platter, so for him, he's never necessarily had to work for relationships. Because while he was heir, girls were practically throwing themselves at him and they were always doing ten times more to keep his attention. Which meant he had to do nothing but be himself and reap the benefits. For him to have an actual healthy relationship would require reevaluation of his life and how he behaves. He has to learn that you can't just take, if you want real lasting love like what his parents had there's work involved and that you can't always be the one to take and never give. Remember it's better to give then receive, that's just not something Macsen understands. So for him to find real happiness would require actual work on not being a selfish asshole.
#43 Has your character ever had a dependent figure who was not related to them? For Hamish, it's his people. Yes he understands that he is a figurehead who doesn't hold the same powers as the kings of old when their rules were absolute but he does know the people look to him like they would a father. There's an expectation for him to lead by example and to be steadfast. It's rather emotional taxing having to be emotionless and strong all the time. But it's what's expected of him and so it's what he must do. He doesn't hate being king, I think he just hates being neutral all the time but that's his biggest responsibility. To be king for all his people, not just some of them. So even when he'd like to speak on something, he can't or else him might offend some of people. So he focuses on his work and the causes he cares about and just keeps moving forward.

I don't know how to put this to words??? But, you truly have a way of taking the most chaotic plot idea and making it WORK, like- really, really, really work! Your stories are just so consumable, they give a reader that sinking feeling in your stomach when it's supposed to - they make you *feel.*
AHHH! Thank you Gracie! This made my night! I put my blood, sweat, and tears into most of the plot. I can't fully articulate how happy I feel that this is what you think of when you think of my story. <3
