Because our dog broke her spine (twice!) and had expensive surgeries, husband took on extra work this summer and taught summer school. He has exactly one (1) week off between the end of summer school and when his regular teaching year begins in mid August (his school sucks)

We are extremely overdue to spend some quality time together. Our marriage has been through the shitter this year with all the stress and his insanely busy schedule.

So he caught COVID. Almost certainly on the last day of summer school, a field trip to a museum. Since then we’ve possibly exposed my best friend, my dad, and who knows how many other people! I probably already have it and I’m just waiting for the hammer to fall.

He’s got a fever and can barely walk, and he’s the healthy one. We were both vaccinated and boosted, but I have immune issues and asthma so. I’m super looking forward to my imminent demise.

We get to spend our only time off together on separate floors of the house!! I have to clean everything and pray I don’t get a viral load of death. I hate fucking everything!!!!!

I wanted to write a long message about 2022 and how grateful I am for a new year…but 2022 sucked. Like really really sucked. It started off ok but then quickly started to suck in January. It proceeded to try and get better and was even memorable by June. Then July came and it went down hill. Am I thankful I survived 2022? Sure. But I’m glad it’s over. Good fucking riddance 2022. Here’s hoping 2023 is more bearable.
