Friday's progress update (23/12/22)
Hello, I know it's Saturday already but hush, I'm here and giving signals of life.
Anyway, I'm still with my extended family and the XV años were great! I should stop here before getting carried away and sharing everything, haha.
And for the progress, well.
See you all later. And Happy Christmas if you participate in it.

Open Starter.
Deep within the farthest depths of the Warp where even the mightiest of daemons dared to tread, there was an odd domain that had formed ever since the Emperor had cast his humanity aside to properly defeat Horus-- while the Emperor himself did indeed still sit upon the Golden Throne, a part of his mind sat, lingering within the Immaterium and Warpspace, battling Chaos every second he could.
He sat in the darkness, in the ever-changing Chaos that threatened to rip everything apart. Except, where he sat, there was a small area around him that represented just what he was-- nothing changed, nothing crumbled or rose again or morphed, but instead stayed still, orderly.
His soul still had the deep wound within its torso from the battle with Horus, and far more wounds that only mirrored the continued decay of his Imperium, which was only further mirrored in this one small pocket of respite... and he could sense a presence, which made him hold his breath to focus his mind just the smallest bit.
Who went so far as to search for the Golden God's humanity, in the deepest depths?

IN THIS HOUSE we fucking love it when girls who speak in blue text reach out to doomed red-themed little guys who have catastrophic dynamics with sleep to remind them that they are not alone and try and convince them to keep fighting against the malevolent entity in their head that wants them to destroy everything they hold dear over and over again and is responsible for the sleep thing. Even when their wholehearted belief in their little guy inevitably isn’t enough to succeed.
This has happened. Twice.

Regarding your Triforce!Reader post, I've had brain worms about a very similar concept. Except the reader has the Triforce of Balance, with a slight bit of each of the other Triforces type of influence.
For example, they're stronger than they should be because of Power, but still weaker than the holder of Power. Able to hear the words of the sword/goddess and have visions, but unable to seal like Wisdom. And the unending drive to help others, no matter the cost, from Courage.
They traveled with every Link, helping to temper the more...impulsive side they all have. However, due to Demise's curse after their first journey, they start having issues. Moments where Demise's rage sneak into their mind.
The three golden goddesses (or Hylia, I haven't decided yet) offer Reader a choice. They can give up their role entirely (and not be reincarnated), or they can continue their role in each cycle only to be immediately transported through time to the next one. Reader, knowing the second choice would cause Sky and Sun great pain, asks that every time they move forward, they be forgotten by everyone they leave behind.
The deal is made, and Reader gets to take one more day with those they care for. Knowing they'll be forgotten, Reader spends the entire day with Sky and Sun.
Now, when the Chain forms, the limits of Reader's deal are tested. After all, they never left Wild behind, so he remembers them, but the others only have a vague sense of familiarity. Over time, their memories return, and everyone gets to be happy for the rest of the journey.
The end? Well, I think I'll just have to be convinced to write this as a series first. >=D
(Sorry for the wall of text, I just had to infodump about this idea I've had for YEARS that only got more complex with LU in the mix)
OH MY GOODNESS no I absolute adore this! The Triforce of Balance makes so much sense, I love it! I would read the absolute crap out of your mini series I'm gonna be so real. There's just something about giving it your all, loving so fiercely, only to be condemned to be lonely almost perpetually. It just hits my angst heart so well 🫶🏽
I might write something with Triforce!Reader soon, but I have some other asks I need to get to first. Genuinely thanks so much for sharing, I love this sm <3

"Salem's Lot," Wilhelm replied, as he reached over to the end table beside his chair, grabbing the book to pass to Emily; a black paperback edition with an eerie face printed on it, a drop of bright red blood dripping from the mouth an eye-catching speck of color on the otherwise eerie and mysterious cover, giving no hint as to the contents of the book, and what horrors awaited the reader.
"See, a young man comes home to his old hometown and finds out that someone bought the creepy old house on the hill," he explained; although he wasn't the biggest horror fan, it was clear he was enjoying it. "And the town has tons of skeletons in its closet that I think this Mr. Barlow character is going to exploit. It's very scary, it's made me sorta sleep with one eye open lately! I won't spoil it for you, lass, if you'd like to read it, but it's very good, I'm curious to know what the rest of this fellow's writing is like!"
"One of the nurses at the office read Carrie," June commented, adding, "She said it was frightening, but sad as well. I think Randall has it on hold at the library."
"I do," Randall nodded. "I saw the film, and I get a feeling the book's going to be very similar. I felt very sorry for Carrie-she was a tragic monster."
And besides-he could relate, having had to deal with his fair share of bullies when he was in high school...
