It's no secret I'm a Carlos fan first so obviously I was so pleased for him pulling good points, fastest in all three sectors, fastest lap and driver of the day. And he got to keep his P4 in the standings, even if it is by one point lol. And I was also really happy to see carlos get to SHOWCASE his skill, maybe it's a personal thing but I've found when chatting to my bf and his F1 friends that they tend to overlook carlos as a top driver because he tends to sit in the top five and there's not *much* fighting from him, so to let him put that blinding lap in qualy and then execute so many amazing overtakes was like yes!!! THATS MY BOY!!

But also AGAIN ferrari strategy potentially cost him a podium??? My dad & resident house F1 expert said there was no way the tyres would have made it to the finish line and he had the 5 second penalty so realistically I don't think he could have made a podium even if he stayed out but it would have been insane to see him come home in P3 or even P2 before the pen was added on yanno?? Its just that feeling of these drivers can do so much more than their team are helping them to get right now

And oh my god charles. My heart is actually breaking for him. With carlos' pace this weekend it should have been a ferrari 1-2 or 1-3 and instead neither of them got on the podium. I dunno if its true but I heard something about his throttle being problematic again and to be honest even if it was entirely driver error it's still devastating to see him slip further and further back in the championship because I am rooting for him so badly

And from an entirely selfish POV (and I could be wrong because I only got to watch the Channel 4 highlights yesterday) I was a bit annoyed at the coverage. I really wanted to see a lot more content of carlos carving through the field and instead we only saw him when he got up to P9. I'm also a huge fan of seb and danny ric and it would have been so cool to be able to watch those battles Carlos faced with them and with other drivers you don't normally see him go up against
