Ryvari's parents. Leika and Auralis.
Leika fecked off before Ryv hatched, after finding out Auralis was not a pureblood Seraph. Which Auralis wasn't aware of either.
Serpahs (otherwise known as Divine Dragons) care a lot about 'pure' bloodlines because they're elitist assholes.
Anyways yeah here's what they look like!

Prompt 274
You know what is fun? Baby Ghost Jason. You know what could be even more fun? Ghosts are Dragons.
Jason? Aware of none of this.
He was on comms, y’know listening and rolling his eyes at Dickwing, who used his real name, really Dick, he mocks. It’s just a stakeout, nothing new there, honestly boring when he could be blowing something up instead. It should have just been a stakeout.
Yet there’s something suddenly there, something behind him. Something that causes his hair to stand on end and his comms to spark into static like some sort of horror movie. Something, something with clawed hands with corpse-pale skin tipped in black, stained or dead or something else, tilting his head up and up and up as he’s frozen.
“A child, out here? Alone?” a voice crackles, hisses, hums, and purrs, somehow all at once, unnatural in its tone. He can’t move, he needs to move, he has to move, but it’s like the space around him has gone cold and dead, like he’s stuck in the Pits once more as claws hold his head and his vision blurs. “Sleep, child. Rest- we’ll be home soon.”

So, remember my old Sunny as the nightwing animus au? Well this is a late continuation of that. This is Sunny's second ever meeting with Starflight, after the Nightwings kidnap him to the volcano island.
As a bonus, here's a funny, non-canon idea for a Sunny design:
This is the spiritual predecessor of this piece, there's not much to this au, really. There's only a couple plot points here and there.

Again not a dungeon meshi reader/watcher but every time I hear about that laois guy I get reminded of how my system had/has a hyperfixation on dragons so intense that we got that big fancy dragonology book and we treated it like the damn dragon Bible for like years
Now, obviously, we understand that there's different interpretations on mythical creatures, and no one interpretation on a dragon is necessarily gospel, but that multiple interpretations on the classic tale of beasts of scale and fire are completely valid and to be expected!
however if you call an Eastern dragon a coatl I'm going to come to your house and slaughter your family

Prompt 269
Another Legend of Zelda Crossover with Ghosts are Dragons. Because it’s fun :>
Danny has decided to go on a vacation with his platonic-romantic-they-aren’t-sure-yet partners. To a different world! Where they can spend more time than just the summer before heading back to their world or the Realms for work. Self employed or no.
Look, they spent their entire teenagehood protecting the city and world, they deserve a break! So they chose a random direction and a random world that didn’t feel too liminal and ecto-contaminated, and off they went!
And it’s great! The monster issue is easily enough taken care of too, even if it’s to Sam’s complaint. Interesting taste though… Oh well, they can complain and debate that later, because they don’t have to really worry about much. Well, much besides the weird corruption sort of rotting smell that seems to be getting stronger…
Maybe that’s normal around here…?
@fairy-lights-and-blobs @radiance1 You both enjoy dragons so here <3

Hey y’all! I have new neighbors and they have a four year old so (of course) I want to make them a plushie. The trouble: I know exactly nothing about this kid, and none of my currently on-hand spare plushies are little-kid safe*. If I’m custom making this kid a plushie, what should it be? I just got new faux sherpa and made a new hippo pattern, so I’m thinking a soft and fuzzy hippo, but I could go for classic teddy bear, or make an elephant, or make a dragon or something?
*I generally don’t give small children plushies with plastic safety eyes or polypellets. Probably overcautious, but having worked with a lot of 2-5 year olds some kids will absolutely put everything in their mouths and could rip apart toys. Some kids don’t! But idk the kid so I am erring on the side of caution

so... i read a guide to the dragon world today. i'm gonna get my major criticisms out of the way before i go on to praise it and add more in-depth comments, since i plan on doing a reread tomorrow lol. i just did my first read today to get an idea of the book, tomorrow i'll probably write notes and spend more time thinking about it.
SPOILERS FOR AGTTDW UNDER THE CUT!
gonna get my first issue out of the way since i've already seen people talking about this - i think the book functioned as less of a guide with new info and more of a place to compile and recap all the old information. as i saw another user say, this book isn't exactly for newer fans... its prime audience would be somebody who's already read all the main novels (and possibly the legends) as it contains spoilers for pretty much all of them. i can't say a lot of the information was really new, however. the new info we did get wasn't really always... amazing. lists of scrolls, really vague guides, etc. i can't say it didnt have ANYTHING new to offer, but definitely not as much as i'd hoped. as a semi long-time fan of the series, it was disappointing to see things i had already learned and memorized being presented as new topics.
i cant say that this was fully unexpected, however. this book was supposed to be an in-depth guide within the world of wings of fire, not just a guide to the readers. most dragons would not know majority of the information presented, as i'd assume very few of them really know a lot about things outside their own tribes. that was the point of this guide - to bring new information to the dragons of pyrrhia. i do think it could have had a little more to offer, but i won't be too harsh in my criticisms of this part. i think some people have been a bit too harsh - they forget the story behind this book.
another issue i had is honestly tui's use of humor. specifically, how much of it she includes. a good joke here or there is completely fine! this is a childrens' series, and a lot of the dragons do have a sense of humor. however, the book cannot seem to take itself seriously in moments that are meant to be serious. i'll add more specific examples in my reread, this was just... something general i noticed.
PLEASE do not let this convince you to not read this book - i 100% believe it was worth the read! i didn't set it down once from the moment i started to the moment i finished. it really did offer some interesting stories and perspectives. there were just a few aspects that came across as disappointing to me, but these are just my own personal opinions. feel free to disagree, i'd love to hear everyone else's thoughts! i truly did love this book, i just had to get my main criticisms out of the way so i know what to go more in-depth about later lol. (im just writing to write atp... i have not gotten to write about wof in a long time since i don't engage with the fandom often.)

I always wanted to draw this scene, so here's my first attempt at it. I hope you enjoy.
(For those who don't know, look up Revelation 12:7-12:9 for context as to what you're beholding.)
