At @kevthulhu 's request #beercheesesoup pics! I lived in Wisconsin for two years in my youth, and as happens when you live there you develop a relationship with two foods: beer, and cheese. One specific regional delicacy rarely emulated well outside the state: beer cheese soup. The really good recipes require a roux base, a beer reduction, and more vegetables than I usually care to chop. #traderjoes overcame this resistance with its morepoix packages (chopped veggies for soup and stew bases.) I also finally overcame my fear of whisking roux. In Wisconsin you might eat this with popcorn; in #sanfrancisco Boudin sourdough is the way to go.
